Extended Summary
Angelo tells Charlie they don’t have to move in right away, but Charlie wants to get this happening, she doesn’t want to wait anymore. Leah suggests they move into Tony and Rachel’s house, which Charlie and Angelo like the sound of – as long as Ruby is okay with it. When Ruby hears the news, she’s over the moon, it’s about time they got it together. Charlie is very keen to make sure Ruby is completely happy with it, and she recalls Mitzy’s prediction that things are going to start going her way – she’s taking this as a good omen. Leah reassures Angelo that Charlie wouldn’t take this step if it wasn’t what she wanted, despite the situation with Shandi. Later, Angelo and Charlie reaffirm their commitment to each other – they are all each other needs.
Xavier wants to know about John’s daughter, what happened with her and what he’s going to do– John is mostly worried about the effect this will have on Gina. John is subdued, but Gina comes out ready for dinner. She refuses to let him not celebrate–it’s important and they should go out. John decides she’s right, and confides in Xavier that he’s going to propose anyway. John thinks it’s the right time, despite Xavier pointing out that it might not necessarily be the case. Before they get the restaurant, John takes Gina down to the beach and proposes. Gina is insulted and walks away. He catches her up and she confirms she’s rejecting him. She doesn’t want to be his consolation prize just because he had a heart attack – it shouldn’t take nearly dying to convince him that he wants to be with her. When Gina gets home, she isn’t happy that John told Xavier, and storms off to bed.
Miles isn’t sure what he and Shandi are, but she doesn’t want to label their relationship. They’re just going to have fun. He’s okay with that. But he’s still worried over what John will do when he finds out, and is torn over whether to tell him or not. He talks to Alf about it who suggests he should get it out of the way – Miles isn’t convinced. However, when he comes around to the idea of telling him, Alf suggests he should hold off–no father will take that news well. Miles isn’t able to wait and tells John straight out. Shattered over Gina’s rejection, John just turns away, leaving Miles feeling terrible.
Bianca prepares to make a lavish meal for Vittorio. She wants to do something romantic for him, and she’s never done anything like this in the past. Irene wonders if she’s heard from Liam, but Bianca says no, which she takes as a sign that things are definitely over – besides, Bianca tells her she really wants to believe in Vittorio again. When April runs into Vittorio, she gives him a serve, worried that he’s going to hurt Bianca all over again. He insists he won’t, he loves her and wants to propose again. April is taken aback. She thinks Vittorio better know what he’s doing or it could all end badly again. Vittorio probes Bianca over dinner, trying to find out where she’s at, and then pops the question. April walks in as she accepts, and from distance is not convinced by their union.
