Extended Summary
Marilyn’s doctor decides to discharge her, hoping that some time at home could do her good and help her regain her memory. But Irene is worried about putting her back in the community as so much has changed since 1996, and she may not like what she finds. The doctor knows it won’t be easy, but lying to her won’t do her any good either.
The news of Marilyn’s discharge spreads around town, and when John hears, he goes straight to the hospital to take Marilyn home. However, Marilyn tells him that she is going home with Irene – she wouldn’t be comfortable staying with him as she can’t remember who he is. John is devastated – he’s no closer to getting his wife back, and she feels further away than ever.
Back at Irene’s, Marilyn comments on how much the house has changed. She wants Irene to update her on what all her old friends are doing – and Irene regretfully has to tell her that one of them, Chloe, passed away in a car accident. Marilyn’s shattered, struggling to cope with the reality of the situation.
Chris finds John in Angelo’s, but can’t cheer him up. His heartache pushes Chris to visit Marilyn to see if he can help, but his determination overwhelms her, and Irene has to take him outside to calm him down. Marilyn overhears him confide in Irene about his concerns for John – and how he’s worried he won’t be able to go on like this. Later, when John visits, Marilyn sees him, and tells him she remembers him, and his heart soars. But as he hugs her, doubt is written all over her face – she’s making it all up…

Leah notices that Evelyn is in a great mood, and questions her on her new boyfriend. However, Evelyn won’t reveal a thing, and when she leaves, Leah orders VJ to tell her everything he knows.
Evelyn meets Tank on the beach, and he’s got a surprise for her. When he won’t reveal it, she’s anticipating something special. However, she becomes scared when he takes her to the edge of a Jump Rock. He gets more personal, and asks Evelyn what scares her most in life. When Evelyn hesitates, he pulls back, and tells her he just wanted to know more about her. It wins Evelyn over, and she opens up about the deaths of her parents.
Tank opens up and reveals that his Mum has died as well, and he doesn’t get along with his father. After the deep conversation, Tank asks Evelyn if she wants to jump off the edge with him. However, Evie’s reluctant – it’s a long way down. Yet, she wants to face her fear, and goes to jump. Tank pulls her back, and tells her he can’t believe she was going to do that for him. They start kissing, and their passion escalates. Evie is over the moon when Tank tells her he could fall in love with her – has she found the one?
Charlotte narrowly escapes being caught by Chris, and gets away from the farm house with Denny’s notebook. Back at home, she searches it for her social media, but is interrupted by Hunter, who jumps onto the couch to relax after training. She sends him off to have a shower, and eventually finds Denny’s password. Logging into her social media account, she writes an update as Denny from London, and hopes it will be enough to convince Denny’s friends that she arrived there okay.
Later, she runs into Chris at the diner, who’s relieved to have seen Denny’s post, causing Charlotte to relax a little. But it’s not long before she has has another vision of Denny and has to leave the diner. Can she ever escape what she did?
