Charlotte steals Hunter’s trust fund to save herself. Marilyn feels unsure about renewing her vows with John. Evie lets Tank lead her further astray.
Extended Summary
Charlotte needs to find a way to get – $200,000. She logs onto Denny’s online banking, getting more and more desperate, and then she remembers Hunter’s trust fund… There’s just over $150,000… which, with the $50,000 she’s raised so far, will do it! Will she stoop to a new low?
The next morning, she runs into Zac at the diner, and asks him if he has the $20,000 she loaned him. He regretfully tells her he doesn’t, and as she tries to walk away he asks why she needs it. She brushes him off, pretending she was just going to make an investment.
Later, she puts a for sale sign on her car. When a prospective buyer tries to aggressively get the price down, she loses her temper, telling him that the car’s no longer for sale. Hunter catches the end of the exchange and wants to know what’s wrong, but she refuses to explain. Hunter walks away, telling her he can’t protect her if she won’t be honest with him.
Back at home Charlotte becomes more desperate when Trystan sends her a text checking up on the money… She snaps and makes the call to cash Hunter’s trust fund. As she finishes the call and sends a message to Trystan, Hunter comes home and apologises for his earlier behaviour. Charlotte promises that everything will be ok soon, with her son completely unaware she’s just emptied his trust fund.

John is excited about renewing his vows with Marilyn, but he is concerned when Chris offers to volunteer to help at the lunch. He ropes Leah and Zac in to act as a ‘buffoon barrier’.
At lunch, Chris keeps suggesting bigger and more crazy things for the vow renewal. While no one is very enthusiastic, Leah notices that Marilyn is particularly unenthusiastic, leaving her concerned that Marilyn’s heart isn’t in it at all.
Leah subtly tries to get the truth out of Marilyn, who cracks and admits that she is unsure, as she thinks that she and John want different things. Afterwards, John and Marilyn talk about the vow renewal. John has started to realise that Marilyn isn’t as enthusiastic as she should be and calls her on it, but Marilyn covers her real feelings and pretends everything is fine.

Evie is rebelling against being grounded. She’s still messaging Tank, and the two are clearly plotting something.
Josh comes to see Evie, and at first things are friendly, but Evie gets annoyed when Josh tries to persuade her that she’s making everyone wish she wasn’t involved with Tank. Evie doesn’t want to know, despite it being apparent that people are just concerned about her.
Later on, Zac comes in to talk to her, telling her that he and Leah won’t stop loving her no matter what she does. As she glances down at a message from Tank, she seems to waver for a moment. At dinner Evie seems to be making an effort, and thanks Leah and Zac for looking out for her, but skips dessert to go upstairs. As they clear up, Leah and Zac are happy about Evie’s positive change of mood, unaware that she’s searching for her phone in the hallway. Having found it she goes upstairs to pack a bag, before sneaking out later that night. Tank is waiting outside in his car, and the two drive into the night together!
