So, here we are and excitingly for those of you that excited by such things, we're moving on to pages where people have actually scored different numbers of points. As usual we get the eclectic mix of characters down at the bottom, with some names leaving you wondering how they are so low down and others how they even managed to score points.
58=. Jade Sutherland (5 points)
Jade, has tended to bump about the bottom of these polls since I started them, having a few fans, but nowhere as popular as her twin who maybe isn't her twin depending on your point of view, and usually below her much maligned older sister. Then again, as time has moved on, her stories have become slightly more forgettable the Kane Saga. School sit-ins anyone.
58=. Will Smith (5 points)
Below both his girlfriends, Will is an interesting character to me, but not necessarily because his character was interesting. Played by, if we're honest, not the worlds greatest actor and with very little in unique characteristics, his relationship with Gypsy, somehow made me a fan and his certainly his departures seemed to end the late 90's era.
58=. Rocco Cooper (5 points)
For such short-lived guest characters, the Coopers certainly made an impression, with Rocco finishing 2 points ahead of his brother. It however also goes to show what a powerful storyline was cultivated in the later part of 2006 as Rocco tried unsuccessfully to battle his way out of the gang culture, but ultimately was unable to and the gang ultimately caught up with him.
58=. Floss McPhee (5 points)
Finishing off the quartet of people who scored 5 points, is the most successful McPhee. That however isn't saying much as watching the Early Years makes clear why her and Neville were let go off so soon. They weren't used much and when they were used, they produced some low-level comedy. Add to that near enough their only story finished in Episode 50. The weird elderly neighbours might have been interesting, but in the end most attempts appeared to fall flat.
62=. "Rabbit" (4 points)
Possibly the weirdest inclusion on this lists, but then again I suppose it's just someone having a vision of a dead relative and there's still a few more of them to come, it's just that we hadn't seen this dead relative before. That said, in my opinion Rabbit was played one of the better child actors for years and it's a shame that she could be lost to the show by playing someone who shouldn't exist.
62=. Pippa Ross (4 points)
So we go from probably the most recent notable guest, to one of the longest serving and iconic characters the show has ever seen. Just one of the interesting, intriguing results this poll throws up, but I guess it shows a few things. Rabbit probably has passing popularity, but it may also show that either Pippa never was that popular or that those watching the show in the 90's have moved on.
62=. Jules Munroe (4 points)
And here we are, back in guest-land, with Drew's mate from 2007. At the time I liked Jules, but at the same time this short spiel, show that I struggle to think of anything memorable about him.
62=. Oliver Phillips (4 points)
They say kids are cute, and a lot of people seemed to think Ollie was the quite the cutest kids there's ever been, but at the same time, as kids do, they don't do anything until they fall down a well or abducted, and whilst Ollie was abducted, I can't remember him falling down a well.
62=. Travis Nash and Rebecca Fisher (4 points)
Travis and Rebecca enjoy the honour of being the only characters to be grouped together since they finished on equal points and well, they are near enough linked spending most of their time on the show as a couple. They are an interesting case. Neither was given the blockbuster storylines and are considered to have been around in a dip, but at the same time they were both played well and it was a nice relationship they had.
62=. Peta Janossi (4 points)
During the same period Peta came in and then quickly left again, as dramatic changes swept through the show in 2000. She was different to a lot of her peers, more of a Plain Peta, Super, em, Meter, but she was also the one that found their soulmate in Edward. Though I guess Will, Gypsy and Hayley found theres as well, so that's only really Mitch and Sam left.
62=. "Dodge" (4 points)
Hopefully if SevenTwo show the Early Years for at least another year, we will able to take in the joy of Dodge's entire stint and if they don't maybe we should do to their HQ what Dodge did to Celia's store. Sometimes when trying to era-rise the show, you come up about these eras that don't really fit. The Early Years, that original era of the show sort of falls away as Frank and Roo leave, and then the new faces start coming in, but bridging that is what I'd call the "Dodge Era".
