Donald Fisher

Strengths

Despite a stern, strict exterior Mr Fisher is a very good teacher and has an ability to connect with his pupils and get through to students when other people can't. He is committed and highly dedicated both to education and teaching and has dedicated his life to the school. He is not scared to take responsibility and take on roles that other teachers dare not to. A lot of his former pupils feel very highly about him and he encouraged many of them to better themselves when other teachers had given up on them.

Points to improve
Mr Fisher can sometimes come across as too strict and can be stubborn to the point of pig headedness. He needs to learn to take on other people's points of view and take external circumstances into account.

Overall
Firm but fair, strict but kind. Nicknamed flat head by his pupils, he is respected if not always liked. Gains marks for his commitment and length of service and the development of others, particularly current head Sally Fletcher.

Memorable Moments
Dressing as a punk in class.
His blues and eventual bond with Bobby Simpson.
Saving important school files during the bush fire whilst his house burnt down.
Being trapped in the school during the earthquake
Proposing to Marilyn in the school.
Losing his job during the school closure fight.
His departure in the assembly hall.
