Most Popular Character 2004: 11-20

	11. Beth Hunter/Sutherland (44 points) The Hunters mum, Beth is sort of the third Pippa. Sensitive, caring, but also a pillar of strength and with a tough edge when needed. She quickly started a friendship with Rhys Sutherland, and within the year they were married. However, the marriage was short lived and Rhys left her for his first wife, Shelley. Beth was left looking after just Robbie, Matilda and Henry of what was a very full house earlier that year.
	12. Gypsy Nash (43 points) Gypsy, was originally the spoilt brat of a teenager torn away from her lifestyle in Hong Kong to live in Summer Bay. She certainly had her fair share of thrills and spills during the years, whether it be being held hostage, kidnapped by her tutor, trapped in burning house, car crashes, many different affairs, family break-ups, lesbian kisses, teenage pregnancy, but finally she married Will, who’d been there for her all along.
	12= Donald Fisher (43 points) The long time Summer Bay High principal has been married twice and had three of his four children die. Donald left in 2003, moving to the Whitsundays to be with new partner June Reynolds.
	14. Noah Lawson (40 points) Noah came into the bay in 2000 and instantly became Hayley's knight in shining armour after rescuing her from some troublemakers. After an on-off relationship they finally got married in 2004, but it was short lived as Noah was shot by psycho Sarah Lewis soon after.
	15. Pippa Fletcher/Ross (36 points) Home and Away’s original foster mum. She has taken in too many kids over the years for me to remember and list them on this page. Played by two different actresses over the characters run, both of whom seem to be equally well liked, the feistier Vanessa Downing and the more mumsy and floral dress exponent Debra Lawrence. Pippa has had two husbands die and a baby die of SIDS, so despite the many successes she has had, there's been a fair dose of tragedy along the way.
	16. Dani Sutherland (33 points) The eldest of the Sutherland sisters, Dani initially didn’t want to be in Summer Bay, but soon found love in the form of Will. However her world fell apart around a year later when she was raped by Kane and then when Gypsy was revealed to be carrying Will’s child. She split up with Will, and was soon going out with Josh. Then Kirsty started going out with Kane and Josh turned evil. Add to that the fact that she then spent time in prison for attempted murder; it is fair to say that Dani has had a hard time of it.
	17. Tasha Andrews (33 points) Found on the rocks near the sea by Max, Tasha was originally a feral girl, known as Jane Doe and speaking Pig Latin. Taken under the wing by Irene, Tasha soon began to evolve into a “normal” teenager. Drama was around the corner however when it was found out that her mother was none other than the late Angela Russell.
	18. Colleen Smart (31 points) Summer Bay’s interfering busybody, but loveable nonetheless, a former Miss Groper, Colleen was originally Lance’s interfering mother in the early years, but now works at the diner and at Flynn’s surgery.
	19. Hayley Smith/Lawson (27 points) Finally married her sweetheart Noah in 2004, but there’s been some hard knocks along the way such as the death of her father, a crash that left her with facial injuries and Noah being shot recently.
	20. Angel Brooks/Parrish (26 points) Angel arrived in the bay with a bang, angering many of the bay after selling some of them fake tickets for a concert. However, she and Shane soon had a relationship that made many early 90’s viewers hearts melt, before they married. However tragedy was just around the corner as Shane died, but Angel soon found love again and left to go to England with millionaire Simon.
