51. Geoff Campbell (10 points)
What a brilliant character to start this update. I didn't think much of Geoff on the show and probably like him more now that he's not on it. It's my opinion that a lot of the recent teens suffered from writing that lacked definition and consistency. Geoff appeared to swing from Man of God to thug on a weekly basis. |

51= Kit Hunter (10 points)
Kit didn't actually score many votes until pretty late in the piece and the staff section was almost giddy with anticipation wondering whether a character that had once featured in the top 5 was now going to suffer the indignity of not actually making the list. Fortunately for Kit she got a few votes and actually improved her showing from the last time, but I do find it slightly sad that the fiery character of 2003 had turned into the character that left in 2007. |

51= Xavier Austin (10 points)
Recently departed Xavier makes an appearance and whilst one might think that for a current Home and Away teen, that this would be quite a disappointing result, he has managed to beat some others. Amongst him needing to be admitted to hospital with broken bones or chemical poisoning almost every fortnight, he also evolved from a bit of a prat to a good solid kid, which was nice to see. |

54. Edward Dunglass (9 points)
Of all the teenagers, Edward was probably the most unique and it shows that characters that are interesting and different will be remembered. Edward only lasted six months and has been gone for 12 years, but he polled higher than others who were given a much higher profile. |
|
54= Blake Dean (9 points)
At the time of the poll, Blake appeared to be in a relationship with Belinda Carlisle in the 7Two repeats. With his sister eventually going off the rails and a girlfriend dying in his arms as the day breaks and her heart aches, it could be argued that Summer Bay wasn't exactly heaven on earth for Blake. |

54= Sam Tolhurst/Holden (9 points)
Look what the list has washed up! Sam is another guest star who has made an impression, though it certainly felt that she was around for an absolute eternity. |
|
57. Peta Janossi (8 points)
Finishing not far below her boyfriend/pretend husband Edward is another one of those characters that didn't actually stay long. |
|
57= Angie Russell (8 points)
Laurie Foell, unless I'm mistaken, is the only actor to manage to get two characters in this list. Fortunately it wasn't 3 so I didn't have to contrive one of these blurbs up about a random guest character that appeared in 1999. Angie pretty had a six-month stretch of episodes named after her, where she appeared to mess with almost every single character in the bay before her world started crumbling around her. |
|
59. Rocco Cooper (6 points)
What were his parents thinking? It's as if they only knew an alphabet that contained 3 letters. Rocco was a troubled teenager that Sally tried to help out, but then he stabbed her? At least it gave us that nice of end year musical montage. |
|
59= Adam Cameron (6 points)
Another currently appearing on the 7Two repeats where it feels he's got less lovable as time goes on. Though knowing where it all eventually leads perhaps we're actually seeing a perfectly crafted story-arc. Showing how far we're actually into the repeats, Adam has actually been on the show far longer than he not. I bet many never thought we'd see the day. |
|
59= Hayley Smith/Lawson (6 points)
You know what I was saying in the piece about Edward, well the perfect case here. Rebecca Cartwright, as she was, seemed one of those overly nice people, who played nice but not particularly interesting Hayley. However because she was sunny, the TV execs loved her and so did her co-stars and top tennis players. Now travelling the world, watching Lleyton getting knocked out in the first round. |
|
59= Rebecca Fisher/Nash (6 points)
Fisher's daughter was almost like Doctor Who, in that she decided to morph into a completely new look every couple of years and would need to do so again if the character was to return. |
|
59= Shane Parrish (6 points)
We spent many hours debating whether these votes were given to the heartthrob (that's not my opinion) from the mid 90's, or his strangely named daughter who lasted for a couple of months before leaving. We finally decided on Senior, who was one of the biggest stars on the show, making the front covers of the glossy magazines of the day. Now appearing in Neighbours I believe. |
|
59= Liam Murphy (6 points)
And so we begin a trio of characters whose names start with the letter L. I actually hadn't realised that it was over 3 years since Liam had first appeared which made me wonder just where all the time was going. Just beaten by Britney Spears for shortest musician marriage though. |
|
59= Lynn Davenport (6 points)
That Lynn always does so comparably well in these votes is always quite baffling for a character that appeared in only the first 100 episodes and has hardly been seen or mentioned again since. |
|
59= Lance Smart (6 points)
Before Peter Vroom left to go to America a few years ago to do some meditation thing that I can't say I understand, there used to be a fun game called "Guess the completely random way Lance is going to appear this year?" After making an appearance in 2000 after running over a car in a tank, he started coming back frequently with my personal favourite being his 2005 appearance where he visits a show home with Colleen. Now with Colleen gone, it appears any chance of Lance coming back are gone as well. |
