1. This competition is open to registered members of the BTTB forum only, but not to anyone involved in organising or judging.

All writers for the 17 and over age group must be 17 years of age or
older on 1st April 2009. All writers entering the 16 and under section
must be 16 or under on 1st April 2009.
3. All entries must be submitted in English
4. Member's may submit a maximum of TWO separate entries, each entry must have a completed entry form. (See Task)
5.
All entries must the original work of the author and any entry which
forms part of a script which has been produced, sold or is currently
under option elsewhere is not eligible.
6. Adaptations of fan
fics, books, plays, or other source material written by any one else
are not eligible under any circumstances; nor are scripts adapted from
fan fics books, plays, or other source material written by you if your
source material has been sold, produced, or is currently under option
to any third party. Scripts adapted from your own fan fics, or any
self-published works are eligible only if you have retained all rights
to your work.
7. To qualify for the competition, each entry must include:
• Your Opening Summary and a Title to your Scene
• Your Stand alone scene
• A Completed Entry Form, which provides your full name, address, and e mail details.
8. Once a script has been entered in the competition, under no circumstances will we accept re writes or corrections.

The Closing Date for entries is
12:00BST (UK Time) on
Friday 24th April 2009.
Your entry or entries should be e mailed to
[email protected] along with the completed entry form(s).
10. The judge's decision is final. Anyone attempting to influence the judge's decision will be disqualified.

The winning entries in each category, together with the short listed
entries, will be published on the main site. BTTB also retains the
right to publish all other entries on the forum.
12. The names of the winners, and runners up will be posted on www.backtothebay.net on Monday 1st June 2009.

All entries published on BTTB will be published with a disclaimer
indicating that the copyright rests with the writer. It will be the
responsibility of the writer to pursue any breaches of that copyright.
BTTB would remind entrants that whilst they can copyright their work
they cannot copyright the idea behind it. Similarities in ideas
frequently occur and BTTB does not accept responsibility if similar
ideas subsequently appear elsewhere.
14. No responsibility will
be accepted by BTTB for late or lost entries, or for fraudulently
submitted entries (e.g. An entry submitted by a 30 year old claiming to
be 12!)
15. For the stand alone scene we will accept scripts in
Word Formats, Rich Text or Final Draft. Please see the FAQ's for
additional guidance.
