Woo, as some of you guys know, I wrote to the cast members I've met recently, and included a photo of me with that specific cast member with the request that they sign it and send it back to me - for my travel photo album. Got the first response today from Bernard Curry who I'd posted the letter to on the 5th August!!! He signed the photo of us, and included a fan card which was also personalised. Thrilled out that he took the time

I have to agree with Hodgo4. Martha only ever seems to be happy when there's a man in her life, but that's reminiscent of many people IRL so I like that 'realism' side to her. As for Hugo? He seems to be good for her; like in tonights epsidoe [4919] he stood up to her about the Ruby thing; usually her men seem to back off and it's obvious she wears the pants. But, she took Hugo's remarks on with good nature and yeah - I appreciated this. Think they do work well togehter; Martha & Jack at the start were excellent, when they had all the sparks flying but ... by the time of his death, to be honest, they'd run their course - in my likings anyway.

I wonder about Martha though - does she know that Charlie was raped, or does she just know that Ruby needs to move out because she just found out that Charlie's her mother etc? I wasn't impressed with her- but once she turned around and quite grown-up manner told Ruby she couldn't stay with them after all, she crept into my good books As for Ruby; I think she has every right to lash out at everyone; her whole world got turned upside down. Think Charlie's actually coping with it all quite well ; loved the scene of her, Angelo, Ross & Morag in the kitchen - and the way she stormed up and yelled in Martha's face [hehe] - classic. She just gets better and better

it's not needed anymore though is it? as Dan said ; it was turning into a discussion thread, which we have this one and the specified Belle one for but obviously The last few episodes these days have been heart-wrenching, seriously. How does Alf only have two pages of discussion when he's the longest character? Wowsers! That said, he does just seem to 'fade' into the background in so many of the storylines, yet if you show his picture to practically anyone in the modern society world, they'll know him as "Alf" and "flamin mongrel" which ain't a half bad achievement for a soap actor! I'd like to see him becoming more involved in this mystery storyline; particularly as he runs the bait shop and so would surely have dealings with all the 'fishy' [haha] people around Summer Bay.
