  1. I've never had a real opinion of her. There are very few charactesr that I truly dislike and she didn't come under that radar, but she's not one that I liked either - her scenes always just sort of rolled past me like water off a ducks back. However, I think the scene on the bus in 4901 was very well played out, and was one of the few scenes I can think of that I liked Kirsty in. The whole 'on the pill' role was so immature of her; obviously she felt rushed by Miles, but do none of them know that honesty is an important thing to have in a relationship? In all fairness like!! be interesting to hear the chat between herself and Miles when all the bus excitement boils down.
  2. oh i'm LOVING their relationship right now; they're my new Aden & Belle I think; the whole "forbidden" relationship is being brought out so very well - and can really see Charlie's indecision, although I wish she'd just get down to it and tell him about Joey!!! Loved the whole "game" where he thought she was dating Hugo, and she dragged it out a little to see whta he'd think of that. His dumping of May went well, as well as it could. To be honest, the woman is a bit of a lovelorn psycho - i mean, they're dating two weeks? and she's moved in already? Classic. I know she had money issues but anyway...! That scene on the bonnet of the car, where May saw them, reminded me so much of Aden & Belle's first kiss - except they didn't get inerrupted of course, but the way Charlie wanted him, but held back but wanted to .. . Ahh. I can't wait to see how their relationship unfolds and I really hope they stay together. I don't think it's a wind-up this time, I really do get the feeling it's going to work out for them
  3. Hilary, you're a woman after my own heart, I couldn't agree with you more. In episode 4901, the look on his face when he was yelling at them was absolutely heart breaking - it really and truly was. Actually did bring tears to my eyes, which has been known to happen in H&A now and then but fairly rare but my goodness. The writers definitely deserve a round of applause for the scenes leading up to it - Trey trying it on with Nic, scratching her off the list etc. Absolutely soul destroying, and Luke did a brilliant job! Totally memorable scenes.
  4. ooh i love the idea of this fan fic - having them all 'grown up' but then a reunion!! Great - please post more soon
  5. Argh ... I'm hanging on the end of your word here, wondering what words of wisdom Belle has had for Annie!!!! I'm totally loving this; it's pure reminding me of PS I Love You [except much sadder] xD
  6. the emotion in this sent shudders down my spine ... please keep writing !!
  7. half of Flicka it was meh.
  8. There's no harm in flirtation; I guess we all do it, even when we're feeling more for someone else - but that's someone that we think we can't have? As for the gay storyline; I stand by my guns in that either (a) Charlie was just sexually confused, and thought at the time that she was gay, but was mistaken [as, apparently, quite a few people IRL go through] OR that she's just bi -shrug- and i have no beef with either option. I think it's sooo sweet that Tbh, I love these two together. I know, I'm weird like that ;-) edit; just watching the latest epi lol Charlie is nasty but if she was just "confused" about Joey why is she using it as a defence against getting involved with Angelo. What does it have to do with anything. Also I'm feed up of Charlie being confused about everyone, she's a grown women she should act like one for a change. Most people who have a sexuality "confused" lesbian affair do that in college when they are young and stupid. Was Charlie too busy sleeping with all the sports teams to do that? She was pretty ashamed of being involved with Joey so its one plus point that she is worried about people talking about Angelo who she really should be ashamed of being involved with considering what he's done in the town, the way he treated Belle and his killing Jack. That said I'm sure she will get over the shame of dating the killer, he's is a man after all. I got the feeling that she meant she was worried about people talking because she was with a woman; not because of Angelo being a supposed killer. But that Angelo didn't pick up on that she was with a woman [because as far as I can remember back, he doesn't know?] and instead thought it was the killer issue - and so he naturally went on the defensive. That was my impression anyway :] I'm really loving Charlie these days because, as Julie said, she's showing some human traits - no, by 30, not necessarily everyone knows what they want from life. I imagine also that the is weighing heavily on Charlie's shoulders, as Ruby is now starting to approach the adult sides of life - and it's only natural also that she would want someone there, to turn to, to lean on. Perhaps she's not going about it in a 100% right way - but again, who is perfect?
  9. I'm loving the fact that Angelo & Charlie are back together; and I think some of the views/opinions here are forgetting that the characters are supposed to be like normal people; not 100% perfect angels who never make a mistake. I'm sure there's a few people here who have kissed / been with people that aren't the ones that they truly want; for however a long length of time. 10. Love it! that ending gave me so much food for thought!
  11. But it's not exactly like he had a choice - he was sent to the Bay on work, and naturally his commanding chief must have been aware of his past experiences / troubles / events in the Bay, yet still sent him there. Finding himself with the option of refusing to go, and probably being put on suspension / removed from the force, or just going - I admire Angelo for returning to where his ghosts lay however I still feel it was very bad form for the writers to have him being in the Diner / Surf Club / regular food haunts quite so much. It's not like he couldn't make coffee at home and bring it in a flask, rather than getting one to go etc - and that was causing needless run-ins and grief for the locals of the bay. However, I'm loving the Angelo storyline at the moment and, - he seems to be 'settling' back in now, although I'd like to see a new scene with just to see what the atmosphere is truly like.
  12. *is happy that Jordan/Jai is getting the recognition, that Symph thinks he deserves* I always feel for the actors/actresses who don't play a 'main spotlight' role, because they're always said to be 'bad' actors/actresses because of it; and - I just don't agree with that. Naturally some of them are bad now and then but ... it seems there's always a 'stamp' that boring roles = bad acting. Jai's recent scenes in relation to Nicole & Trey - have been so funny. It's that deadbeat humour; the awkwardness the - lines that make Jai who he is; and it seems to me that Jordan manages to carry this off perfectly. I wonder if his own wit is like that irl, lol.
  13. I think Bernard is a good actor; and that he's getting the character of Hugo portrayed well to us, however ... I do have some reservations. I never quite know, in Character Discussion, if I should talk about liking the choices of characters [as that's more down to the writers, than the actors] or just in relation to their acting; as Hugo is still a relatively new character to the bay, I don't feel that I know 'him' well enough to be able to say whether his disregard for Rachel & Tony in recent episodes is characteristic of him, or not. Certainly he seems to be quite a shallow, weak man - who doesn't do anything around the house, but gives out to others for not either. Who expected everyone in his family except himself to spend time caring for Brendan. Who falls for his dead cousin's wife less than 6 months after the cousin has died - I mean, when the feelings festered, I feel that any decent person would have arranged some time away [not disappearing for a few days] - but perhaps Hugo isn't a decent person; who knows? However, as I said at the start, I think that his acting is doing his character justice - even though I don't particularly like the character.
  14. ^^ I got the Hangover on dvd the other day, but haven't watched it yet ... Having seen so many good reports though, methinks I'll be watching a dvd tonight ;-) Last movie I watched .. Gosh, I can't remember. Oh wait, it was My Father The Hero that movie so much!
  15. Oh Lord, sorry Barbara That is weird timing; gosh I thought that that episode had aired everywhere by now. Perhaps I should have said yes to the spoilers question And yup, mbi615 it is indeed; sung by Jason & Colbie Cailat actually, and Colbie was the woman who sang 'Bubbly' which was the song that they kept playing at the end of every episode leading up to Sally's departure! I meant to put that in the credits actually [goes to edit] Thanks for all the comments guys
  16. only just started reading this and I've gotten to page 4, but I've gotta run and get ready for a trad seisiún now BUT I will return!
  17. I enjoyed this I love the idea of children finding letters from their parents, addressed to them for after they're gone or whatnot; it has a really lovely yet sad tinge to it in theory. Great job!
  18. First Daughter; it brought back so many memories of Marc
  19. i'm watching the boy in the striped pyjamas at the moment ... it's slowly breaking my heart into tiny pieces.
  20. ^ i already asked that about Scruffy and haven't received an answer yet It's all a bit suss, that part. And yeah, I wish they had pets on H&A. It doesn't make sense that they don't >.<
  21. love it - it's gorgeoussss!
  22. Spirit; Stallion of the Cimarron - i liked it [i LOVE the songs] but ... the whole lack of talking got to me >.<
  23. I'am in the minority who will agree with you. I cant stand Adelle. They are awful. Aden deserves someone who will treat him with a bit of respect. But don't forget how much Belle did for Aden; back when they started getting together, isn't it basically pretty much because of having her in his life that he grew happier, she was the only one he trusted enough to tell about his past - it was because of her that he was willing to talk about the abuse in court, etc etc. She did an awful lot for him I think. I hated her relationship with Angelo, but at the same time, I could understand it in the context of; Boyfriend goes crazy, holds gf hostage and tries to kill his own father in the same room. Girl calls cops and big strong policeman arrives. Takes down crazy boyfriend, and then comforts girl. Girl sees cop as knight in shining armour Girl falls for said knight. You know? It makes sense, in that regard - but, cheating on Angelo with Aden was not the way to go; and she really is a skank like I'm hating Belle's character at the moment, for all that she's doing - I mean, not once has SHE said that she has feelings for Liam, but it's like "ooh a man wants me yay" type business Jess, as always, is doing a fabulous job.
