  1. Thanks for the heads-up, Ryan! I didn't realise my knowledge of Home and Away was so poor! I presume he isn't aware of his first two children from the start of the show in 88?!
  2. Hey, I was wondering if someone could please tell me who Ric Dalby's parents are, and how exactly he is related to Alf? I know Alf's his grandad but I thought Alf only had two children; Roo and Duncan, and I was only aware of granddaughter Martha. Did Alf have other children as well then? Thanks in advance!!
  3. Oh thanks Ryan! I had no idea that Beth Buchanan was in Home and Away too!
  4. I know what you mean, Ryan. I'm actually quite surprised by how much I'm enjoying these episodes, as they seem to not last very long and the time just flies! I think the show has a very good starting point, a lot of thought was definitely put into the set-up of the show, i.e. making Donald Fisher the brother-in-law of Alf, and from today I'm guessing Fisher and Ailsa had "a bit of an affair" as Ailsa put it?! It's very good how they've linked all the characters together and there are a fair few good stories starting at once, for example Roo obviously not wanting her father to date Ailsa, and will Bobby be allowed to stay at school or will she get expelled? Plus the whole story surrounding the Fletcher's family situation. I have to admit it's uber-weird seeing Sally so young and still getting quite a few scenes, even though she's what, 8 years old? Very sweet though and I think it's wonderful that the writers gave her such focus even though she's only a youngster. As for Episode 3, I've just watched it and thought it was great. I love Bobby's feisty side, but I like that she's trying to be more responsible at school now, and Carly and Bobby's growing alliance is very sweet and comforting to watch. Having only seen clips of Roo's wedding, I admit I was very surprised that she was school-age and very young-looking in her first scene, I just expected her to be older for some reason, but of course I haven't seen these episodes before. I'm not sure about Lance at this stage. I feel as though they exaggerate his stupidity to a level that isn't realistic, and makes him seem like a complete caricature, but that seems to run in the family with the "Smart" family, as they only seem to be given stupid dialogue, and Colleen is carrying on Lance's legacy of caricature in the noughties! Also, is Roo Martha's mum? I can't remember but I'm guessing she is, and if so, I think that Jodi Gordon was very good casting as she seems to have that naivety and sort of simplicity in her nature that I've recognised in Roo's character. I also think the actress that plays Roo looks familiar and a bit similar to the girl who played Gemma Ramsay in Neighbours all those years back. Lastly, does anyone know if "The Early Years" will be taken off air over Christmas because I think it would be great if we could watch over the holiday period, because then we can catch up and get to Morag's arrival, which I'm SSOOOO looking forward to!
  5. I enjoyed watching Episode 2. Martin is a character of very good value, I loved it when he left Summer Bay House with the rose petals covered all over him. Very funny I'm also finding it strange to adapt to the first Pippa. I've never watched her before, but it's really strange and I really think the new Pippa is much better, but maybe I'll give it time and see if I change my mind. Floss and Neville are great characters, I wish they stayed for longer.
  6. I liked seeing Episode One for the very first time. I've already developed a crush for Frank, it's clear that it's not just current Home and Away that has the hot guys, but from the very beginning there was some eye candy, what with Matt and Frank... As for the episode, it wasn't too bad. Things are progressing slowly, I'm liking getting to know Frank and how he never felt he was that good at school, plus the Frank and Fisher show-down was pretty good viewing. What I don't understand is why Fisher isn't in the opening credits yet? Was he promoted to the regular cast at a later date or something? Anyway, it's very good value having these early eps broadcast. I really hope 7 decide to air it long-term.
  7. A few things I'd like to say upon seeing the Pilot Episode:- I think it's probably the best pilot I've ever seen. I love how you get to know all the characters individually and a good idea about them. I thought Ailsa mainly looked absolutely stunning in that dress she was wearing, it was a very old-fashioned dress but it was very flattering on her figure and she looked very pretty. I agree the gossip-woman in Hogan's Store would have made a great permanent character, it's a shame she never (I assume) appears again. I love how fleshed-out and well-written the characters are. Bobby and Ailsa have some brilliant scenes together, for example Ailsa saying to Bobby that she reminds her of someone she knew once
  8. Thanks Barbara!
  9. Hi there, I was wondering if someone could please help me... I wanted to change my avatar to Romeo but I can't see any pictures of him in the gallery so I was wondering how to do this? Thanks!!
  10. No, Romeo is a much better character than Geoff. A hugely better actor too. I love Romeo.
  11. I suspect once he's more known he'll get more fan mail so will probably start writing group letters like some of the cast do. I am really pleased though, he's lovely!
  12. Hi there, I thought I'd post a picture of my fancard and letter for others to see. Marie - are you going to do the same? I'd love to see other people's feedback. He's so beautiful, getting this response has just heightened my already intense love for him! lol
  13. I got Luke Mitchell back today. Beuatiful fan card picture and he also sent me an awesome letter. He seems like a lovely guy. It was my first HOME AND AWAY fancard.
  14. Hi there, I was recently reading Cornelia Frances' page on Wikipedia and found out that she released an autobiography in 2003 called "And What Have You Done Lately?" I've looked on Amazon where someone is selling it for the ridiculous price of £90 but was wondering if anyone on here knew where I could buy it from for a reasonable price? Is it still in print and therefore would I be able to order it from a book shop in the UK? Thanks in advance.
  15. Hi there. Thanks in advance all!! :)
  16. Ok, thanks guys!!!
  17. I was wondering why the main BTTB site gives the address for fancards as Home and Away C/O Channel Seven Sydney, Mobbs Lane, Epping NSW 2121 Australia when someone earlier in this thread said that the address to write to was: Home + Away C/O Channel 7 PO Box 777 Pyrmont NSW 2009 Australia
  18. Is there anyone else who can't stand Aden? I hate him beyond belief. He always has to be the centre of attention and flies off the handle so easily. I know that's just his character but I think it's unrealistic that there aren't more people in the Bay that dislike him. The last straw was when he shut the door on Irene recently in Oz. Basta**.
  19. Does anyone kow when Brendan is going to leave? After today I don't think I can bear anymore scenes with him and Hugo, utterly detestable characters with no redeeming features. The Austins make the Sutherlands look like the best thing since sliced bread.
  20. What do you think of the character of Brendan Austin? Do you think it was a good idea to bring a disabled character in, do you think it's been a failed attempt, or do you think something else? Post your thoughts.
  21. Ah, thanks! I've just bought a copy, but I can't wait for it to be released in the UK cos I'll buy another one then!
  22. I love Kirsty and Ollie. By the way, I'm new to the forum so you'll have to bear with me. I think Kirsty should be with Miles because her character has gone through such a transformation since 2008. Having been on the run for 3 years, Miles gave her life a bit of stability and their relationship will always be interesting because Kirsty will have a tendency to be manipulative in a sense as a result from being on the run and her hardened shell will cause problems between her and Miles. But I think the simplicity of Miles is exactly what she needs to realise that life can be simple if you want it to be! I hope Kirsty sticks round for years, she's my favourite character.
  23. Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me if you can buy the recently released Home and Away magazine in the UK, and if so where from?! I'm adamant to get my hands on a copy (ot two so that I can stick some of the pictures on my uni wall lol!) but I looked in WHSmith but can't find it. Hope someone can help. Thanks heaps in advance!
