  1. I think Phil and Shirley are similar in age but Peggy thinks Phil (being the gorgeous hunk he is! ) should find a younger woman who can give her more grand kids. I hate what they are doing to Jack and Ronnie (my favourite Eastenders couple at the moment). Not content with but now it seems . Both terrible ideas for storylines. Does no one have affairs/flings with people who they aren't related too or as near as?! Peggy really does wear rose tinted glasses where her sons are concerned doesn't she? Has she seen Phil lately?! I think she should set her sights a bit lower somehow! Mind you, Stella wasn't exactly a spring chicken, yet Peggy was so far up her backside that she failed to notice she was abusing her grandson... I've gone off Jack, and I wasn't too fond of Ronnie in the first place, so I can't say I really like them as a couple anymore. I think Jack needs someone a bit warmer to bring out his nice side, and I hate to say it but I think might be quite good for him. Ronnie is so hard-faced (are we ever going to find out why?) that she just makes his bad qualities worse. .
  2. Tell me about it, we've been having hail and rain showers all weekend here. What I want to know is, if winter is supposed to last for three months how come I've been wearing my winter coat for seven?!
  3. Stardust. Loved it, even though it was a bit too long.
  4. How old is Shirley meant to be? I found it odd when Peggy said she was too old for Phil, as I thought they'd be about the same age.
  5. Totally agree. She's much more common now than she used to be. Even the way she speaks has been exaggerated, so goodness knows how 'Rickaaaay' will come out now!
  6. So far the only redeeming thing about Ricky and Bianca returning is Siobhan Hayes as Ricky's daft fiance. It's a bit of a shame for Siobhan to be playing another ditzy blonde as she's surely going to be typecast from now on, but I think Melinda is quite funny. As long as they don't make her too much like Abby in My Family I''ll be happy. So far she seems less hippy-ish and more footballer's wife. I'm almost positive that I saw an interview with Patsy Palmer a few years back where she said that Bianca wouldn't ever return to the square because she was supposed to have killed herself. So much for that then!
  7. I really want to see that, I love Katherine Heigl. My boyfriend made me watch Sunshine because it's one of his favourite films. I enjoyed it for the most part, but it was a bit too complicated. Too much technical talk.
  8. I wish Ricky and Bianca weren't coming back. They used to be brilliant, but their time has passed IMO. The worst thing they can do with classic characters is to bring them back and ruin everyone's good memories of them. Saying that, I may still eat my words if the writers do a good job...it has been known to happen, but until it does I'm sceptical to say the least.
  9. I'm going to save this if that's ok? There are so many great Cassie avs cropping up at the moment. It's funny because they used to be such a rare thing.
  10. Totally agree, I HATE the storyline of her planning a cold-blooded murder! it's meant to be a soap about ordinary, everyday people, for God's sake, not a horror movie. I only started re-watching EE a few weeks back after a long break because I was sick of all the gangster type stories and thought it had improved drastically but the Max/Tanya story is dragging it down. I LOVE the story of Heather and Minty tho and how she's falling in love with him. The thing is it's actually been a really good storyline up till now, which is what makes it such a shame. It was dramatic and sensational what with the whole Max and Stacey affair, but at the same time it was a realistic portrayal of a family breaking up. I thought they had the balance just right, but now that's been completely blown out of the water. Last night's episode was uncomfortable and at times even horrifying to watch. And where on earth did they get the coffin from?! You can't just go into an undertaker's and buy a coffin like it's a new three piece suite! Whoever thought this up needs to have a decent excuse, or they really shouldn't be writing for Eastenders.
  11. That was in such bad taste.
  12. Ditto. Her Dawson's-Creek-esque way of talking was a little bit irritating, but on the whole it's a great film.
  13. Love your stuff as usual. You may have noticed I've nabbed one.
  14. Ooooh, can I save this? It's purdy.
  15. Hazel is coming back, right? I hope so. She and Minty were great together. Clare is a tramp. Nuff said.
  16. Or even break the mould?
  17. Lol at Dawn! Tonight's ep was brilliant (minus the Clare/Ian ridiculousness). And I haven't said that for a long while...
  18. Oh yeah, how will that work? Who will Darren live with? I don't imagine him and Dawn will be able to stay in the house alone...although I guess anything's possible.
  19. Your current av is brilliant! I'm jealous. For some reason it reminds me of the time before Cassie had that stupid fringe! Edit: Just realised Jamey-Maria made the av, sorry! Still great though.
  20. Rosie got sick of Keith being a complete good for nothing and left him, along with Demi and the baby. I think they went to live in the country somewhere. What will happen to Dawn now, I wonder? The only point to Keith and Mickey over the past couple of years has been to provide a backdrop to her storylines.
  21. I'm really disappointed with the direction they've taken Jack in. I thought he was a nice guy underneath all the bravado, but cheating on Ronnie was low. They're going to have to go some to convince me he deserves to get back with her. Oh and I only have one word to say about Clare...ugh.
  22. The Tanya/Max thing is completely ridiculous, I can't actually believe they're doing it. What's wrong with the soaps at the moment? What with this and all the pantomime storylines in Emmerdale, you'd think the writers had discovered magic mushrooms or something.
  23. Woo Cassie! You don't see many avs of her about the place. The last one is definitely my favourite.
  24. Knocked Up. Completely unrealistic, but surprisingly entertaining.
