Really good Laura I like relationship fics and future fics. Charlie has obviously grown up a lot in this. I felt it was a shame she didn't want children with David though.

I don't particularly want a macho character to be gay, it could be anyone. I have just realised that (even though I think Dex is gay) he isn't necessarily gay just because he's different. Because then people could say 'oh he's just gay, normal people aren't like that! Don't worry everyone, keep calm' It really annoys me when they make 'different' or 'weird' characters gay as part of their 'weirdness'. e.g. Zoe/Eve, who was obviously a crazy person, yet to add to that, they made her gay as well, like they were saying 'gay people are weird, weird people are gay'. Gay should not mean people are weird. So therefore I'd like to see 'one of the ordinary guys' as a gay character, someone who's an average bloke, so the show is not saying 'gay=weird' again. I hope that makes sense, I'm very tired atm. Heath gay, hm.... I can see what you're saying Perry , but I think Zetti might have a word to say about that

Another excellent chapter. (someone hire him to be a script writer for HAA?) Loved Casey and Dex's intervention with Xavier. They are a good double act. Xavier is obviously a romantic who hasn't thought ahead, while the other two have. Loved the awkwardness of the Ruby/ Romeo/ Indi situation. Your characterisation of Indi is perfect. She is so hesitant, she isn't sure if its normal for Romeo not to sleep with her FOR A MONTH? Wake up girl! If he wanted you, he wouldn't do that. Yet Ruby is sleeping with Romeo and Casey. That's what I thought about Chris. I wish I'd watched Neighbours now if they are handling 'modern' storylines like people being gay so well. Yes about the other bit too. I think Dex seems to be gay BUT as you say just because he's different doesn't mean he's gay. Good Point Re: Casey, I haven't a clue about him, he's hard to work out. I think he could be gay, but as I said to you Zetti, it would be braver and less stereotyped if they had quite a macho male character who was gay, rather than an intellectual, geeky type like Dex. Not criticising Dex of course, I love him and all geeks generally Isn't Chris in Neighbours quite macho? that is, plays sports and is also generally popular and not isolated.

I particularly liked Colleen's typical comments about him, the way he was there for Leah when she needed him and his continuing 'bit more than friendship' with Belle. Brilliant Jen.

I think it was a knee jerk reaction for Nicole. 'Oh god, I'm pregnant and I don't want the baby. I can't face an abortion, oh, here's a nice woman saying she'll take the baby/problem off my hands, I'll jump at the chance.' When Nic was first pregnant, she couldn'b believe it. It didn't seem real, but then when she grew fatter and felt the baby kicking, she started feeling like it was a real person and began to get motherly feelings. People think that women are somehow naturally ready to be mothers the minute they get pregnant, but for many it is a MASSIVE shock and hard to cope with. So I'm not surprised a young girl like Nicole was in shock and jumped at the chance to get rid of the 'problem'.
