  1. Hi, welcome to the forum! I'm afraid I've no idea where they get Roo's wardrobe from, but it's good to see another fan of hers. It's a shame this is the first post about Roo since November 2011, I hope Harvey leaves soon and she gets some more interesting storylines!
  2. ^ Episode 5204
  3. Yes they are in danger of making Leah as annoying and interfering as Colleen. Pre-2010 I liked Leah but found her very dull and under-utilised. She then had quite a lot to do in 2010 and was still very likeable. It was a mistake to bring back Elijiah back in 2011 for the sole purpose of stringing out a contrived relationship between them. I for one absolutely loved it when she and Miles eventually got together, but I hated the disgusting way she treated him when they lost the baby. Then after a year of warning everyone how dangerous Brax and the rest of the RBs were she suddenly realises he is quite a catch , thank Jebus that never went any further. I think Ada's upcoming maternity leave will be a welcome break from the character, and they really need to think about what they're going to do with her when she returns. I think she will become more likeable in time, when VJ gets a little older (15/16) and she has his teenage dramas to deal with, as long as she is single throughout that period. Soon after that they can begin to focus on her again and consider a relationship for her. Something a little bit more grown-up like they did with Elijiah previously in 2010 or Miles in 2011, rather the silly school-girl crush on Brax of this year. I also think it's quite essential the character never get pregnant again. That sounds terrible, but it would just be so unbelievable.
  4. Absolutely, they also often provide the only comic relief these days. They have such a believable family dynamic, and I'm glad that Sasha has settled into the clan so quickly.
  5. Oh good, I was getting a bit worried there. Also I have grown to like Casey and Heath, it's just Brax that I have never warmed to. I don't want that to spoil other viewers enjoyment of him.
  6. If you would read through my previous post carefully you would see my acknowledgement of this misunderstanding: Why is it that more than one post in admiration of the Braxtons is acceptable, whereas more than one post critical of the Braxtons is considered repetitive? That's called double standards. It's a shame that some members have been personally offended by my dislike of some television show characters. Please provide me with some specific examples where my posts have been 'agressive and intimidatory'.
  7. I didn't say this was the type of view expressed by every fan of the Braxtons, but it's hardly inaccurate is it. Have you had a read of the Official H&A Facebook page? Yes some members are repeating themselves with the hatred for Brax etc., but these types of posts are no more frequent than those detailing how wonderful the brothers are. See above. Wait, that's my point! Why are repetitive posts that glorify the Braxtons allowed in the Spoiler threads, but repetitive posts that criticise them considered stalling the topic? Yeah. Exactly. Heath is still dealing drugs, to Hayley for example. And from the sounds of it at Aus-pace, Brax is supporting his brothers by profiting from the misery of others too. What a top guy.
  8. I see far more posts proclaiming how amazing the Braxtons are. In fact the other posts are more of a response to the overwhelming guff praise that has been spouted about the brothers. I find it amazing that after two years of 'OMFG Heath is hot, I hope he doesn't go to jail LOL!!!!!11' that a few different people expressing their own valid opinions about the RBs are called out on it. No, but I would prefer that they receive at least some punishment, even if they don't ever show remorse for their actions. Harvey got community service and a $125k fine for corruption in council and yet Heath is a casual drug-dealer with only one night in a cell as far as I can remember. I think some of you need to remove the rose-tinted glasses. Also I don't think it's really fair to tell viewers who aren't enjoying watching the Braxtons to switch off. As I've said before, if you don't like them, avoid those posts.
  9. Wow jodlebirger you've put into words everything I've been thinking about Ruby, nice work. The list a couple of posts back of everything that has happened to her since she arrived should go some way to explain (not excuse) her behaviour. There are far less-likeable characters on the show currently who haven't had to go through the things Ruby has. Although I disliked her pretty much up until she slept with Romeo and got the blame in 2011, it's only since Charlie died that I've really come to sympathise with her. This always seems to happen with characters they want me to hate!
  10. A good update today for the credits centre to show the changes over the past three years. I was going to message a moderator and ask if I could become a contributor and update them myself .
  11. Ah OK, thanks Red. Maybe we'll learn more in the next year or so from the 7TWO repeats.
  12. I'm not sure how much longer Marcus Graham has left on the show or whether his contract might be renewed, but I kind of hope he leaves soon. It would make way for Roo to get some storylines relating to her past, even her recent past in New York. Was it ever explained what happened between her and Frank, for example when he returned in 2000? I somehow doubt that Jodi Gordon would be allowed back through the doors of Network 7, and as important as I think it would be to have another Stewart in SB I'm not sure what they could really do with Martha if they brought her back.
  13. Ah ok cool, another good one from Dex!
  14. When Martha left in 2010, she signed the farm over to Alf, shortly before the Walkers arrived. I think (at least at first) they leased the farm from Alf, but since then has Sid bought the farm from him?
  15. ^ Yeah it's probably the exact same set, just dressed differently!
  16. Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in general discussion, but here goes. I'm quite behind with watching the 1990 episodes (just finished 516 yesterday), and Lance's exit was far more subdued than I expected. In 2010, when news spread that Marilyn was on her way back Colleen put up a real stink, seemingly because she broke her 'Lancey's heart'. But Lance left Marilyn . In reality, he probably broke her heart by leaving when they were engaged, so was this just poor continuity? EDIT: Or intentionally retconning as a plot device to cause tension between them?
  17. Haha, yes that shows how valued he was. I thought we'd see him actually driving off in another episode, oh well.
  18. Has Elijiah actually left now? I can't remember!
  19. Thanks Red, might be nice if they gave us a bit more information about him. It might give Gina a bit more depth and make her appreciate John!
  20. We got a mention of Gina's ex-husband today (Xavier's father). We've never seen him on-screen, and I can't remember what we know about him, could someone fill me in? Did he leave Gina after Brendan was born? Maybe not as I think Xavier is younger.
  21. I agree it would be nicer to hear more about Roo's past, after all she is a returning character. There's so much (potentially) that we don't know and they really need to explore that. Going out with Sid, and then Harvey, and then Sid, and then Harvey, and then Sid, and then Harvey, and then Sid, and then Harvey, and then Sid, and then Harvey, is not holding my interest. I wonder if the actor that played Brett would return (?) after all he did come back in 2005.
  22. As far as I can recall, Sally hasn't mentioned Milco since Dodge left. However, I'm only up to around 1/3 the way through 1990.
  23. I miss the freeze-frame ending, it's such a good way to cap off an episode, especially for emotional scenes. I think there's a snobbery about freeze-frame endings and that they have a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_3rJqHWYjs. However if you look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07QOnnPEFVs, the director tried something a bit different throughout just before a series of flashbacks. Watch between the beginning of the episode and just before the first flashback (6 hours earlier) and there is a freeze-frame and fade out that I think would be very appropriate today.
  24. Yeah I think by that stage they just showed the freeze-frame, without the logo on UK and Aus broadcasts.
  25. Quick question about the freeze-frame ending that occurred between 88-99 (as far as I'm aware). Early in 1988 they began showing the Home and Away logo over the freeze frame, and it still occurs in the 1990 episodes I'm currently watching. When did this stop, as it doesn't happen on the later 90's episodes. Thanks
