yeah I'm pretty sure. I just can't stand the heat, luckily I'm not a woman so I have no need to be in the kitchen.

The thing is I have a fast metabolism and when it's over 20 I'm already uncomfortable. Also my skin is more sensitive to heat than average (like I can't hold a hot cup of tea in my hand that other people can because it hurts too much), and the summer sun feels like a hot iron on my skin.

Well once again what's the big deal with sunbaking ? You'd never see a guy doing that. Women are weird.

Same here! Been like it since Friday or something, it was cooler yesterday but its been hot. I'm loving this and its a great feeling for (my) summer holidays... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do women like the heat so much ?

Hot (90degrees) and humid. No rain though and no sign of it either. I hate those dry spells that last for weeks, it's like living in the desert or something. Is anyone here from Alice Springs ?

Series producer Kath Beedles added: ?She is no shrinking violet and has a habit of engaging her mouth before her brain so is sure to get into hot water very soon." I've spent a lot of time on farms and mending fences is not something people do that often.

Emmerdale is my favourite soap at the moment. I did stop watching for a while, I couldn't take anymore of the Steph/Shelley/Alan storyline, couldn't care less about Terry and his flaming TJ, and Diane's sister made me sick (going on about facelifts all the time, and the way she pulled her skin made me sick, she's not a pretty sight and there's no way someone like Danny would have touched her). Oh and Diane's cancer, I knew it would go on and on so I thought I'd better stop watching for sometime as I knew it would drag on. Anyway that was then and now they're focusing on the Dingles and it's much better. The Kings are good too. Viv is hilarious. Looks like Zoe is going which is good news. I saw her in a yoga advert once, what's that all about ? I hope she never comes back. By the way how did Charity leave and is she coming back ? A funny fact about the show everytime I see Andy work on the farm he's mending fences. Oh and I'm glad Cain killed that stupid mutt.

I think we watch the show for different reasons

Oh yeah I forgot Pearl, I hate her too. I hated her in Brookside as well. Betty is cool. Shadrak is one of the best oldies I've ever seen. I watch the omnibus these days. In last week's edition there was something that made laugh. When Shadrak was stealing the booze from the shop, they used special effects to make the bottles sparkle. It's not summat you'd expect from a UK soap like Emmerdale is it.

Chastity for me. Least favourite characters : Skippy, Jarvis, Sadie, Matthew.

I think because it's set in the country it automatically wins less awards. They manage to be a lot better than the others even though it's on 6 nights a week all year. They're just unstoppable and by the way they have more viewers than Eastenders when they clash. I was trying to pick my favourite Dingle but it's not easy. I really like Shadrak, Chastity, Cain and Zac. But the others Lisa, and Marlon are great too. Marlon is funny. Shadrak might be my favourite though.

This is the official thread for Emmerdale by far the best soap currently in production ( I can't speak for Shortland Street though coz I can't watch it). The Dingles are particularly brilliant in Emmerdale. What a great family ! They really should have more airtime, make the show all about them. I hear Chaz is going away soon, not permanently mind. Apparently the actress is pregnant (poor girl). It's a pity because her storyline with the copper is quite good, and she's good too (obviously, she's a Dingle).
