  11. Thank you! Back at work this week, so things are going to be crazy until I get back into my routine. Fortunately, I have quite a lot of these stored up.
  12. Thank you Kristen, Amy, Zetti, Sarah, Lesley and Sabrina . And speaking of people who are attractive:
  13. I have such a thing for dystopian societies, particularly ones where the kids have to run things. I like the combination of characters you've got. Casey being forced to take the lead, April more subdued - battling her own demons silently - and then Jett who's become Casey's right-hand man. You've managed to create a certain atmosphere - bleak, empty, reflective - in this fic. I like the little insights we get into how each of the characters are coping. I really feel for April, and adore the fact that it was Casey who realised what was going on, Darcy and Jett too young to understand. I'm really intrigued as to where you are going with this.
  14. Dear BttB, Congratulations on making it to double digits. The big One-Zero. Your present is in the mail; tin, appropriately. I just had to check. I'm sitting at 9 years since I joined the forum. Whoa. I was a little sixteen year old from Perth who watched H&A with her mum and had recently become acquainted with "the internet" and the concept of forums. While I wasn't a member, people on the old official H&A discussion boards were disappearing to some other site called BttB, and I clicked a link and stalked around for a few months before I finally joined. I still vaguely remember joining in my first Aussie discussion, around the time Noah died, and being over the moon when people agreed with me and took the time to read my post. It was a strange and novel feeling: belonging in a place that you couldn't really touch or see, and yet, people were so welcoming and actually seemed to care about the integrity of the show. I believe that still remains true today, and what sets BttB apart. We, as fans, care about what happens to the show. We want it to be good, and that's often why we are so harsh on it. But, it would be remiss of me to not mention that this forum and the main site do not exist and would not have been able to survive this long with out the tireless efforts of all the staff - past and present. From the Librarians who introduced the cataloging system and those now who have to chase people to fill in the forms, to Contributors to the main site - remember when we had member submissions and had to trawl the forum for comments every time a character left? - to the Moderators who have literally had to deal with everything and anything and always keep a sense of humour whilst doing it. And of course, to the Admins - Chris and Dan - you guys, honestly. I don't know how you do it and continue to do it. I feel like we need a plaque or something to commemorate. Shall I organise a collection? It's a testament to this site that there are so many of us around who can stay we've been hear since ... (insert appropriate date) and keep coming back. There's a reason for that. So, yay for us! Best wishes, Jen.
  15. Thank you for the wonderful comments. UKers, I hope you are holding up okay with the crazy weather, and Aussies, brace yourself for the heat. Samara Weaving needs to stop being so attractive. Most images come from TartyDoris, tumblr or google. Otherwise, I do have some episodes that I've screen capped myself.
  16. Here you go:
  17. Thanks! However, that is more to do with me being a lazy so-and-so, rather than wanting to pay homage to some "older" characters. Having said that, have some actual nostalgic icons for a change . Also! Look! I remembered! Hope these are okay. Let me know if you want anything in particular cropped, or you can just do it yourself. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h207/turtlefreak2000/HaA8/haasquare225_zps12a0089e.png
  18. Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! Hope you all have wonderful holidays and get to spend it doing what makes you happy .
  19. Phew! I'm so glad you like it I had a lot of fun writing it. Enjoy your holidays! Thanks also to Red Ranger and Sarah for reading it also.
  20. Thank you for all the sweet comments. Sorry I have dropped the ball in regards to posting things.
  21. Just so you know, I did see this. Give me a week or so to get my act together and find some pictures and I'll get back to you. Also, if you have any screencaps you want, then send 'em through .
  22. April and Dex are the pair that I have shipped most intensely in all my years watching the show. They are also the only pair that have actually got their Happily Ever After. (The only ones that came close were Robbie and Tasha, but even then there was surprise!wedding suprirse!unwanted-pregnancy, so there's that. I've also held a flame for Mattie/Lucas and Belle/Drew but they were not endgame ships.) Do I want an April and Dex Take Paris spin-off where April tries to build a relationship with her father and pass medical school, while Dex keeps getting lost in the city and can't ask for directions because he doesn't speak French - or rather, the only French he knows is all the dirty phrases April teaches him during sex, because you know she total does, and Indi ends up staying with them over the holidays and they have their first white Christmas together? Of course I do. I'm planning it all out in my head. I want this with the fire of a thousand burning suns. But I'm also content with the way the story ended. I, as a fan, am completely satisfied and it's not often you get to say that. So, I don't need any more; I just want them to be together forever and be happy. The End.
