Loved the "Mr Tony" line Nicole getting a little defensive about Aden Love the girls fighting and Geoff just kind of standing in the middle like he always does. Melody's back? A love square perhaps?

It might be bad luck, but legally i don't think they can stop her if she's the best for the job, i'm sure women have worked on trawler boats before and still do. I like Joey, she's street smart and tough as well as extremely adorable with Aden

I gave this one a chance, but i just really don't like Xavier. He's dull, unlikable and very self-serving. I don't care how much of a bad influence your girlfriend is, you don't cheat on her then ditch her over the phone, you don't sell drugs and then play the victim because you needed the money and you don't have a winge because your brother's back in the middle of your cousin's wake. Sigh, not to keen on the actor either, he's pretty monotone and formulative. Somehow Xavier has managed to completely destroy Ruby's character as well.

Excellent post Macy, completely agree, even about Geoff/Nicole to a degree. I think Nicole and Aden are more equal to one another in their 'relationship'. In Adelle, Belle always seems like the more mature one, especally if you ignore their constant drama and just look at them as normal characters. Aden is still very imature despite what's happened to him, he still gets in food fights, and gives soemone the silent treatment as punishment, Nicole, we all know, is the same. And yet thay both have the same level of bravery, seriousness and toughness when they need it. They're very much similar in personality, which is probably why they get along and fight as well as they do. Neither Geoff and Belle are very compatible to either Nicole or Aden, I can buy Nicole/Geoff because that's supposed to be part of their appeal, no one's trying to deny their differences. Where as, with Adelle the writers have gone to a great trouble to make Aden and Belle seem like a perfect match, completely equal and mature together. It's essentially made Aden a different character with her compared to all the other characters and it's very jarring, I don't buy it. Anyway, rant over.

I think Aden suits Nicole a lot better then Belle and Nicole even suits him better than Geoff. As a couple they'd still have the drama but they've already proved how close they are, I think it would be less contrived then all the Adelle OTT stuff. But in the mean time, i still love them as they are

I didn't really like Nicole untill she had her scenes with Jazz, just something about it was so cute and fun and I loved her from that moment on. Now her interaction with Roman, Geoff and Aden are becoming some of my favourite scenes. It helps that Tessa is such a great actress, ever since i saw her in Neighbours as the disabled Anne Baxter, I thought she was great and to see her play such different characters just reaffirms my beliefs.

I'm not really fond of him and the Ruby relationship made me cringe at how desperate she was.

I think it's a reaction that gets rid of the miracle over-night turn around she had after the OC, she isn't perfect, she's still agressive and harsh and that's still part of her personality despite the big changes to that lately and IMO that's a very good thing. I think Melody needs to accept the fact not everyone is going to forgive her, she seemed to me at least think that all she needed to do was apologise and be remorseful and that was that. I think relaistically someone had give her a serve, Nicole may not have been the best person for it, but i think she's the only one with a personality that would allow it. I do agree with Jody on the captain's thing though, it had all the tact of a blunt axe. It may have been a good small plotline if it had more build-up.

Have to say i really never felt one way or the other about Jai, he didn't really do much. However after tonight's ep, how he stood up to Melody but still gave her a chance to come clean on her own was really mature and good for the character.

You'll find out what Belle did next chapter, then what Aden's part will come later. Somehow this fic ended up having a lot more long conversations then i originally intended.

I was too, I was actually pretty surprised at Nicole not freaking out. I liked how she kind of talked over Geoff when they were explaining where Martha had got to. I wish they were both still captains.
