As is often the case, I agree with everything you wrote Jody and you probably put it in better words than I would have. It's so nice to watch them being carefree, even if it is only for a few seconds, and it was nice seeing Belle helping Aden help Joey instead of popping pills. I think Aden will have a shock when he finally notices Belle's problems and I can't wait to see what his reaction will be and how his feelings (guilt, anger, pain, disappointment) will be portrayed by Todd. I dont understand why should he feel guilt he didnt do anything wrong i dont think that Belle is letting anyone know what she is going through atm

I would like Kane to be killed off too. Or he doesnt actually need to be killed off. He can just go away and never come back! I really dislike Kane and i dont like how he treats Kirsty. Im not a big Kirsty fan either but she deserves someone nicer than Kane. Aka Miles! I thought about what I’ve said again but I still think this is very much a grey area. Regardless I still believe that in some people’s eyes Kane did not get his comeuppance (that is part of the reason why I feel they don’t like him). It’s a simple as that. Yes he was treated like an outcast and completely ostracised by most of Summer Bay (as an aside Alf, Jesse, Flynn, Noah and Irene all gave him a chance which I believe was part of the reason for his reform) as I can remember the treatment from the likes of Scott, Seb, Josh etc who all used him a punchbag at some point (incidentally I left the Sutherlands out because I think their actions were perfectly understandable, Rhys was just trying to protect his daughter(s) and you can’t blame him for that, nor can you blame the rest of them for hating him). However Angie and Zoe died, (I presume Zoe died from the explosion at Jack and Martha’s reception) and Barry Hyde went to jail so I meant in that sense there was no justice for some people regarding Kane. Also to be fair he could have walked away at anytime and he chose to come back to that situation even though he hadn’t seen Kirsty for about a year (and another argument was that he owed it to Dani to allow her to come to terms with what happened without being around him). Furthermore I think rape is a very sensitive issue (as you said). Judging by remarks I’ve seen from some posters, it appears to be the one crime where there is no forgiveness. And reading other forums a lot of people always saw Kane as the bad guy and didn’t like the fact that the writers were trying to making him good (not saying I agree with that but I’m trying to give what I think are full and frank reasons for the resentment that remains). It’s interesting that you mentioned Jesse and Nathan. Firstly both of them went to jail and served their time (I always thought Nathan did an armed robbery at a shop Red Ranger and didn’t Jesse beat someone up but Flynn covered for him). Nathan was in jail for several years so I think it’s perfect plausible for him to have at least reformed to the point where he was no longer a violent criminal. Secondly, again neither of those two committed rape so to some people they were not beyond redemption. I do agree with you regarding Kane though, he helped a lot of people and that seems to be conveniently forgotten. I often wonder what would have happened if he had gone to jail. Things could have turned out very differently for a lot of people. Finally everyone moved on from that resentment/witchhunt phase. He became friends with Scott (he turned up for the good luck party and the stuck by him through the trial). There were others such as Haley, Irene, Morag (who put up $10000 for his bail), Beth, Tasha etc. I can sense a lot of frustration within your posts. I used to be like that but I’ve come to realise that you just have to accept that some people will never like him but as far as the hardcore fans are concerned it shouldn’t really matter. Thats true The only good thing about Kane is that he would do anything for Kirsty and Ollie or anyone he loves (but does it the wrong way most of the time)

Wow Steph this must be THE single most hypocritical post I've ever read on here. How can one say Tachel have no communication and love Adelle when Aden and Belle are one of the single most thick couples I've ever saw on TV and keep tons of secrets from each other. Like Charlene said Belle is a junkie although I like Aden so much more these these days because he is trying to put up with Belle's ridiculous childish demands. Tachel will out last Adelle and that is the main thing. Aden & Belle wont be still together this time next year I would bet my house on it where Tachel still will be as strong as ever. The only reason Adelle are still together is because of the fans who will go crazy like they did the last time they split them up. Tachel are the strongest couple I've seen in a long time and actually have really great communication and you cant hold Tony's latest behaviour over him because he just lost his son and was grieving so he is allowed to be distant. Shoot Miles first. He is the homewrecker, the interloper. If it weren't for him getting involved with someone else's missus, then Kirsty and Kane wouldn't be having these problems. None of this would have happened. Any red-blooded Aussie male would give a serving to someone encroaching on their girl. Its the way the boys deal with things. One of the lines you don't cross with men, is getting involved with their wife. If there was a charge for coming between the state of matrimony, Miles would be charged. Quite frankly, Miles deserved it for playing around with a married woman. I think you hit the nail on the head there. Actually it seems like both Kane & Miles made it for her. Yes she should have just spoken up about it, but she really didn't get much of a choice in the end. I don't get why you continuously post in this thread when it's clear you detest her. Okay I have to ask why is Belle being blamed for funny? That was not Belle's fault she didn't know what was going to happen. That's like people blaming Danni when she was raped by Kane just because she wore,some skimmpy clothes and flirted a bit with him,he thought she wanted to sleep with him. As we saw on Monday Belle was extremely close to breaking point (which could be heard in her voice when she was with Aden). over her use of drugs and realised for the first time after having side effects from taking the drugs costantly that she has got a problem with them which she needs to get help for which is why she came sooooo close to telling Aden everything. And it wasn't Aden's fault either,yes maybe he should have stuck around for a little longer after Robbo had told him that Joey had left after she had specfically (sp?) asked him not to get off the boat without her. Do you not think that Aden was in an extremely difficult position with both Belle and Joey needing him deperately at the same moment in time and,having to choose which one to be there for right at that moment was an easy decision for him to make? So I don't know how anyone can blame Aden,Belle or even Joey for what happened to her it was Robbo's fault and Robbo's fault only no one else's he did it on his own accord. Well, if it wasn't a mistake, what do you call it? A birthday party? Kane genuinely thought Dani wanted it. He didn't do it deliberately or with malicious intent. So yes, it obviously WAS a mistake. Yes, on surface value it is disgusting, but the fact of the matter is, that it was a mistake. Kirsty saw Kane's soul, perhaps you are unable to see people that way, and fixate on one issue. Kane didn't mean to do that, and a person's worth is not summed up in one mistake. There is much more to a person than that.
