I like him more now - I think he's still the same guy but we're seeing more of the real him and not just the person he is for work. All those smart comments were a way to rattle people into giving him evidence. Now he has a suspect and he can relax a bit. I'd like to see him as a regular guest like John Palmer.

^^ I've said this in other threads but because you've been saying it here, I'll add it here too - I'm a mum so I feel I can say with authority that they really are showing the whole baby storyline very realistically. In contrast, Hayley or Kit's baby storylines just weren't real enough. But from Rachel's labour and birth in hospy to coming home to "messy house, sleep-deprived, bath robe wearing, get rid of the visitors and give me a minute to have a cup of tea, what does the book say? and Excuse me, I need to feed my baby" situation is SO real. LOL. It's nice for H&A to show something realistically for a change!!

Rachel might be feeling a kind of 'survivor guilt' that she got to take her baby home from hospital, and the other couple didn't

Has anyone seen Clubland? An excellent movie, btw. The lead female - Emma Booth - shares a very similar look with Celeste.

I like her. It seems like she's coming on a bit strong but if you think about it from her point of view, she doesn't know all the stuff we know as viewers about Angelo, Charlie, etc. All those looks Angelo gives of being unsure about May, only we see - May doesn't! As far as she knows, she's hit it off with this guy who has confided some deep personal stuff to her so it seems reasonable is she's thinking they're getting serious quite quickly. I agree that it's a pity that she's going to be gone as suddenly as she arrived. Another teacher among the regular cast would be good. It's a bit weird that Miles doesn't have more teacher friends. It's the kind of job where you all hang out together and get quite close. Even if May became the teacher-equivalent to Dr Young! A regular guest character, I mean. You could have scenes where the teens are talking in her class, etc. Plus I think she's a beautiful woman and has a different look to the rest of the cast members, which would make the show more interesting.

^^ Yeah, I think you're right; thanks for that

^^ Yes, Charlie is drawn to complicated relationships perhaps that's more what she found in Joey than anything to do with being gay or bi.
-
Charlie's only 30!! I don't think it's unreasonable that she's still trying to sort herself out emotionally and sexually. If you're not 30 yet, perhaps it seems older to you than I can tell you it feels once you really get there! I like the genuine complexity of Charlie's character and I love her with Angelo - they have a natural attraction to each other and you can see that they instinctively connect over their personal pain and inner conflict.

He's Just Not That Into You. It was enjoyable enough but didn't make sense when it betrayed itself in the ending.

Couples shouldn't play "Guess what's in my head": Rachel put herself out there to help Tony and if he couldn't do the same, he needed to communicate to her what she could do so he would feel as if he could - not shut her out and keep her guessing. I really think Rachel did everything she could and it was Tony who fell way short of the line, no excuses.

I like Margo

I totally agree. The age-thing is really annoying. The writers of the show should have each character blackboarded so they can keep things like age consistent. Then as they write, they can refer to the charts on the wall and see a timeline of things like Jack's birth, etc in (this case) Tony's life. Why is it so hard? Or worse, why don't they bother? It always makes me feel insulted as a regular viewer that they don't get these things right. We're expected not to care.

I'm LOVING him! I think he's a great character so far - older, more experienced and really sweet. I'm usually biased against men who screw up their marriages (having been the wife in that situation) but I'm finding myself sympathetic towards him. And I really like how he's giving Belle a positive expression finally. I can actually see how he'd be either a good friend or good boyfriend to Belle. I hope he stays in the Bay for awhile -
Rachel's make-up last night was the best it's ever been; that pink lippy was gorgeous. Oh and nice to see Tony with his shirt off!
-
She's definitely at least a month further along than that - ~6.5 months. By observation, I mean. It'll be interesting to see what date the baby is born. In real time, it'll be end of July but by what she looks, it'll be end of June at the latest. I want a girl too
-
Given the size of her bump, she's well and truly past her 20 week scan so mustn't have found out the sex. Or have I missed them metioning a scan coming up? If she's not more than 24 weeks I'll be so mad at the costume directors. I'll happily post pics to prove my point but she's at least 6 months along and coming up to being in the 3rd trimester.

They both handled the disappointing end to their wedding with such dignity

I really felt for Aden tonight. He must be doubting himself to have fallen in love with someone who shares qualities with his dad

^^ I think we only saw the ceremony and Belle's collapse ruined the reception i.e. they never made it to the marquee. That's probably why they showed it to us on Friday instead so that we could see what it would've been like. I wonder if the guests still went along and at least had their meals?!
-
I agree that Tony rubbing Rachel's baby bump was adorable. How many months is she supposed to be now?
-
I loved the wedding. I thought it was great how they showed us a peek of the wrong dress on Friday! And she looked gorgeous in the pale gold gown last night. I agree with Martha that it's weird to hear Rachel be called Mrs Holden!
-
I really enjoyed that - some insight into how Charlie may have come to realise that she's attracted to Joey. I like how other people noticed it before she did - reminds me that Ruby has been seeing the signs for awhile now.
-
^Is that all? That's great.

How many weeks ahead do they film? So if we're just starting week 13 in Aus, what week are they currently filming? And if we're just starting week 13 in Aus, what is it in the UK? How many weeks behind? When I travelled to the UK a decade ago they were months and months behind - it's gotta be better than that these days!

Rachel handled Belle so well. I agree with what was said about her having a naturally patronising tone but I think it suits her and works well especially because she's a doctor. I think that confidence bordering on arrogance is typical of the high achieving type that gets through medical school. Seeing her handle situations like Belle's addiction so well reminds me that what could be seen as inconsistencies in Rachel's character aren't at all - it's the difference between her intellectual and emotional sides. Her intellectual side is very developed and she responds perfectly to medical situations but her emotional side is neglected, which is why she's sometimes insecure in her personal relationships and acts badly. I really like the age difference between Rachel & Tony because it suits them much better than Rachel & Kim. And I think it's significant that Rachel hasn't had a relationship with someone her own age especially when Hugh told her he loved her. Although I still think the writers didn't do enough to explore how Rachel & Tony were initially attracted to each other. I hope they stay in the Bay and we see more scenes with their baby. The writers have been braver this year with their storylines so I hope they have the courage to actually film a baby/toddler/child rather than have them being babysat all the time or simply have the characters leave. Please don't let them leave. And I'd like to see Rachel have a quick labour and an unexpected homebirth!
