It doesn't matter whether the child's not born yet, if it's wanted, and in truth, if you go back a few decades from the moment a woman said to man I'm pregnant he was forced either to marry her or be judged for that, also in certain cultures it starts there and then, it's what you were expected to do. Equally, just because he isn't weeping and wailing and treating everyone like dirt ala Cash, it doesn't mean he's forgotten; not everyone feels or wants to display their grief and be a spectacle, it can be a very private pain.

The baby would be born regardless and it is still partially Tane's responsibility; if he pulled the same Miss Haversham act as his ex brother in law is right now, SuperCash would be condemning him for abandoning Harper and the baby, he can't win either way. Also, why should the child ultimately suffer because the adults are more immature than them, really?

Though I dislike Abi I did cheer when she gave Cash a serve! Off tpoic, loved Eden's leopard head dress/nightshirt; her getting drunk wasn't the best idea but when she said to Cash about how badly she was hurting too was rather sad. Cash's rubbish about protecting her, for me, the irony is his dismissing her, I could see her being to type of person to drive a car off somewhere as in off of but no-one would know that she was headed that way and in that it would've been Cash that had an indirect role so his misguided plan would've failed anyway. His petulant sniping at Tane proves he's not thinking straight, whether he would want to admit it or not her deception was partially responsible for the breakdown of that marriage and also it had been resolved-ish i.e. they were moving on in their directions, also the fact that he's hiding the full truth from Gary means he knows he's doing wrong. The way he's already obsessing is slightly creepy, it's an organ, Michelle isn't and never would be Flick, no matter how much he wants it to be. I can understand Tane kind of drawing a line with it, sometimes that can be for your own sanity.

H&Alover, you're right; Bree's mega reaction was always going to happen, it just happened to be Flick's death that was the straw methinks rather than the main reason as such as she's barely had any recovery from her multiple traumas so something's always going to give.

Bree's wild eyed and almost demonic growling struck me as possibly the biggest red flags but she's still sane enough to pretend to the 'right' people, this is a slippery slope; I still say Dana needs to report to someone higher up, Bree is dangerous right now.

Dana was right about Bree on every count but probably should've been a bit more subtile, however to quote Irene; 'Even blind Freddie knows there's something wrong with that girlie', however with Harper/Tane she was wrong, she should've just let Harper take a little of heat but eventually it would've resolved for all. Perri needed Tane more in that instance as Harper had her anyways. I did think it was sweet how mesmerised Tane was at the ultrasound, I don't doubt Ethan was able to bring his own memories to that performance.

The letter was incredibly moving, kudos to the writers for that! However, Cash's reaction is exactly the reason why they take the intermidiary/hands off approach because of either unhealthy attachment or judgement on the donor family part, both of which you know Cash could ultimately be guilty of.

I can understand Eden resigning in the fact that she's both doing what Cash wants but I can also understand her not kind of wanting to be faced with 'Flick' or ghost of too. I'm glad John actually gave Cash a talking too, he's in the wrong here. Also his kind of 'Er, don't want you to die on me my don't freeze me out' rhetoric was cringeworthy, he's a hypocrite and if Eden's got any sense at all, even when he crawls back she should kick him to the kerb. He broke his major promise to her and that should be the final straw for her, leave him behind for good as he would hurt again and again if she lets him. I'm glad Remi went in to bat for her, another sensible person. Abby is just horrid but Mac's the fool, Levi just uses people for his own ends and then emotional blackmails them when he can't get his own way, saw it coming.

I think Eden did the right thing to give Cash that serve, he's been a pill, grief aside; I'm glad she had the dignity not cry in front of him, never give them the satisfaction. I feel for her and don't blame her for not keeping the ring, Cash needs to stay in his lane now and she can grieve for Flick safely, give herself a chance. Oh Abi, what a little brat you are and big bro is wrapped around your finger; I don't blame Mac for being anxious about reprisals and, quite frankly, Levi's just shown how single-minded and untrustworthy he is, so wouldn't have taken his word at any rate. Love seeing Tane in his 'big brother' role, as I say, kind of reminds me of his dynamic with Nikau, different relationship I know but still, I think having Perri to focus on has been good for him.

Xander in someways would be better placed with Salt as he probably knew more about Flick's plans than Cash ever would and understand them better. I'm glad Eden fronted him, she's grieving as much as he is but she's right, his hang up shouldn't cost her her job. I loved the fun scene at the pool with Perri and Tane and their tussle, reminded me very much of when Ari and Nikau were around.

I'll admit when I had an operation back in my teens the surgeon came around and I'd swear he looked even younger than me! Bree attitude to Dana is your typical senior doctor/consultant attitude. 'I am better than you, you serve me' style. Dana is right on the money in that she is clearly not in her right mind at the moment, perhaps Dana would be better placed speaking to a senior of the hospital, to at least flag it. Claudia is a princess, I think she should have been a bit more gracious at that moment and methinks what Justin has offered is enough i.e. paying med bills and repairs, though I would've suggested her hiring a driver rather allowing him to do it, legally he could get himself into more trouble. Sadly Harper is playing the stereotypical illogical overemotional preggo at the moment, Perri may be 18 but he is still vulnerable, especially with the trial coming up. I felt sorry for him about the guilt part it's a strange thing that can happen in cases like his. Tane is trying to give him stability and also trying to make an idea in a sense of next steps, fair but Harper throwing her toys out the pram was not good and basically threatening isn't the way to get your own way.

I guess although Theo's qualified, he's not vastly experienced, a bit like a probationer midwife is qualified but they are still supervised for experience, Justin probably should've kept an eye so's to speak.

Thank you, I never actually saw those eps (didn't have Ch5 at the time), , bad example I guess but I kkind of meant that Harper and Tane are friends and might be better as co-parents but will all the milestones that will come in the next 6 months can give rise to differing feelings even though it's more toward baby than actual romance.

I know it wasn't meant to be comical but Cash's whole sulky teenager moment expecting Gary to get the car keys and straightaway he was like 'Nope, you made a big man decision so you go and face it like one'. had me laughing, he obviously learnt the pout from Flick! I think Eden is going to be hurting for a long while, not just with the deep grief over Flick but also they might well be a sense of, unjust, self-recrimination, that she allowed her walls down and trusted a man and his promises and yet she was fooled again. Yes, of course she knows he's semi lost his marbles but, the rejection doesn't hurt any less. It's nice to see Tane excited about Baby, despite all the circumstances I think he will be a good Dad and that is completely seperate to Harper in a sense. It can be pretty overwhelming at any time, a new life is a good thing. Mind you in regards to feelings/relationship stuff, who knows what may happen down the track, if memory serves me, didn't Leah develop romantic feelings for Flynn when she carried his and Sally's baby and they had a kind of emotional dallience? Poor Perry, he clearly feels isolated, which is utterly understandable, he may be 18 but in some ways he hasn't been able to grow up properly with balance and stability so trying to navigate a new life is difficult too.

True...it's pretty sore! I liked the fact the flowers they had were rather bright and 'in your face', Flick definitely was not a pure white roses and lilies type! Gary's speech I think summed her up. 'Never knew whether to stop you, help you or get out of your way.' I'd say option 3 was always the safest! If things had been a bit different, I could've imagined TPTB taking inspiration from a certain romcom, only in this case it would've been tequila obvs that everyone took a shot and placed it by her picture, would've been very her don't you think? I know Eden could rationalise that Cash isn't in his right mind at the moment but I can fully understand how painful all this is, talk about double whammy. Also, whether he has meant to or not, he's kind of proved her point about all the men, bar Remi, she's ever loved and trusted let her down. Worse still, she no longer has her main person to cushion her fall (Flick), I'm glad though that Remi was they immediately to be her crah mat so's to speak. I cheered when Perri finally bit back at his Dad and was going to make a statement! I know it wouldn't have been the right thing for Tane, however I wouldn't have been against him lamping Carl on the nose it's the least he deserves. Loved Carl's whine of 'You care about him than me' uh yeah, Tane's show him safety, kindness, care whilst you've beaten and used him, I think I know which one I'd rather be loyal too. Yes, he isn't taking it well with the baby news yet, however I think after a day like that I'm not sure anyone would just say okay, cup of tea?

Alf and Martha were right about the art and everyone's interpretation being different, means it can be anything, for example I thought it looked like someone screaming in stormy waves, someone else might think it looks like a dog in a blanket etc. (Always remember seeing an abstract or a great artist, it's apparently meant to symbolise the Human Condition, to me it looked like a pizza that had been smushed by a steamroller, hehe!

I love this description! I might use it in a fanfic story one day.

Though it was subtle I liked Cash and Eden's cuddle with the dresses, he is noticing she's hurting which is good. The mention of Gary reeminded me I saw 'him' in an old ep of Baywatch at the weekend, hasn't really changed other than a little heavier and the hair's grey! I've actually liked seeing Dana and Harper being excited about Baby; they both have good points re: Tane, it'd be pretty overwhelming on the one hand but then on the other a baby, regardless of how it happens, can be a wonderful thing and for him it might well be a reason for him to heal as it were. Glad he warned Carl off, men like him don't know how to handle other men (or women) standing up to them but Tane should definitely not have followed him, too dodgy for him.
