I don't mind that they kissed behind Xavier's back, but once they decided that they wanted to be together they should've come right out and told Xavier straight away. From the promo it looks like they don't, for whatever reason, and that in my book makes it cheating... unless they decide to not see eachother until she tells Xavier... but still, kind of cheating. All that said, I don't really care They're adorable!! Yeah, I actually meant the writers there having Dex and April admit feelings for eachother when she was with Xavier. I probably should have made that more clear lol. But as for kissing him when she was still with Xaiver, I didn't mind that so much as long they don't do it again until she breaks up with Xavier, although judging by the promo it's not looking likely. Haha, yeah, Dex and April I think they are much better suited that April and Xavier, they have never really worked for me. Yeah, I blame the writers for putting April back with Xavier in the first place. I don't see why they can't just have a couple get together without having someone else involved. I don't like Xavier much but isn't this like the third time this has happened to him. I know he wears those terrible swimming trunks, but even taht doesn't deserve all this cheating... although they are terrible terrible shorts.

Well obviously they've got history, so in that respect it wasn't a random pairing, but I do feel their getting back together was very out of the blue. I think if we try to look at it from a neutral point of view, that is not as a fan of either couple, the reason they put April back with Xavier was to act as a foil and as a catalyst to Dex/April. That's why it happened so fast. If they'd had them reconnect over a longer period of time and then get back together it would've made the Dexter thing much much worse. As it is it doesn't seem quite as big a deal because of how quickly and randomly they got back together. Obviously if you're a fan of Xavier/April you'd still think it's a big deal, and that's fair enough. Personally I wish they could have gotten Dex and April together without having to involve Xavier so as to avoid all the annoyance that will arise from it happening this way.

I would accept your issues with them "pushing April towards someone else" if it was the original Xavier/April relationship. However you have to admit that the way they got back together was pretty random and came out of nowhere. If you think the April/Dex pairing was forced what do you call how her and Xavier got back together? He was pining after Miranda for weeks and then just out of the blue he bumps into April and they're back together by the end of the episode!! As for April trying to save her friendship with Dex rather than being in denial, I don't agree. I really think if she didn't feel anything and just wanted to save their friendship she'd have let Dex say it and then she'd have dealt with it, let him down easy. The fact that she wouldn't even let him say the words would suggest to me that she didn't want to deal with it because she doesn't know how she feels.

Other than being not the typical Summer Bay guy, and not really showing much interest in typical guy stuff, what exactly has Dex done to make people believe he might be gay? I really don't see it at all.

Of course that makes sense if you look at it in a reasonable and sensible way, as you are, but Dex is what? 16? Everything seems more important that it is when you're 16. Of course not hooking up with April isn't going to mean he's alone for the rest of his life, but at 16 it probably seems like that's exactly what it means. Fair enough April hasn't exactly encouraged his feelings, but she hasn't discouraged them either. Also, the scene where he was starting to tell her and she told him not to because it would ruin everything. I took that as her trying to deny whatever it is between them. As in, if we never actually say it out loud then we don't have to deal with it. I mean if she really had no interest in Dex at all she shouldn't have really had a problem with him telling her how he felt. She's very upfront and honest about things, so I'd have thought if she didn't like him back she'd just have told him and tried to deal with it out in the open. I think the main issue here is that the writers rely far too much on the whole love triangle thing to get people together. There are lots of ways they could have had April and Dex get together without dragging Xavier back into the mix. I don't really care about Xavier, and I do like April and Dex together, but, I don't necessarily like the fact that once again a couple is getting together behind someones back.

My point about Xavier and Dex not being best friends was only to point out that I don't see Dex's behaviour as being a terrible betrayal of Xavier. Of course Xavier and April are still together, regardless of what I think of the status of the boys friendship. So yes Dexter is in a difficult position with his feelings and how to act on them. I was worried when they were doing April's OCD story that they'd put them together right away and it would be one of those typical random H&A teen pairings. The way they've developed their friendship after the OCD has been great. The way I see it Dex has always been a bit of a loner, not because he wants to be, but because he's never really met anyone that he really connects with, male or female. Then he starts hanging around with April, and they're on the same wavelength, and she kind of shows signs of liking him back. I know from experience that when you're a little bit different, and don't do terribly well in social situations, when you meet someone you do connect with it's a big deal. Obviously other peoples feelings should come into it too, and Dex should think about Xavier, but it's not a situation where Dex could have anyone else, or just get over it and move on. Simply put, he's a bit of a weirdo, and it's a big deal that he's found someone who's equally as weird, so he has to weigh up what's more important to him. Kind of being friends with Xavier, or his feelings for April, who just by the way I think is actually Dex's best friend.

No my point was that Xavier and Dex are hardly even friends. They got put together for that science project and April is really the only thing they have in common. I know they've become sort of friends lately, but I still don't see it as a massive betrayal of a "best friend" Plus, it's not like he's been actively "going after her". OK the Kate thing was a misguided attempt to get a reaction from April, but it was hardly in the same league as Ruby going after Romeo. I don't think Dex has done anythig wrong, yet Although I will agree that it's a bit rubbish that the writers are putting Xavier in this position yet again, even if I don't like him much. They obviously only put him and April back together to facilitate Dex/April.

I only started to notice/like April when she broke up with Xavier earlier this year. So you can imagine my disgust when they put them back together. I just don't get them as a couple at all. They've made Xavier seem even dumber lately and he acts like a 12 year old around his mum too. April is far smarter than him and way more indipendent, they just don't gell for me. Dex and April on the other hand I find adorable. They're such a sweet pairing and I don't think I could imagine a better match for Dex. As for people ragging on Dex for going after his "best friend's" girl, WHAT? Xavier and Dex have been friends for about 5 minutes, it's not like they've been BFF's since they were in nappies. I know Dex and April were thrown together randomly this year, but look at Belle and Aden, they only started interacting because all the other teens left and there was nobody for Belle to interact with. That worked out pretty well. As for the Dex/April friendship, I agree I'd hate to see it ruined (a la Nicole/Aden) but they could get it right and just have them stay together.

I don't want Dex to be gay because I think he and April are adorable together. If they do get together I want them to be the couple that stays together forever. I really can't imagine Dex with anyone else, April is a great fit for him, they did a great job developing that friendship. As for the gay storylines in general, like the post above me says, if they can't do it right, for whatever reason, they should just not bother doing them at all.

The thing with Ruby's bag though I think most people would have done the same. If your younger brother was in trouble like that and you had that leverage you'd do the same thing, or at least I would.

I agree with all of that. There's an obvious attraction between them, and the idea of the cop and the dodgy possibly criminal guy could be intriguing, but ultimately I'm not sure how it would work between them. If they're seriously talking relationship here then one of them is going to have to change who they are. It's yet to be seen exactly how illegal Brax's activities are, but given that Charlie is 100% a cop there's no way she'd turn a blind eye to any kind of dodgy behaviour, and if she did it would lose the character a lot of respect, in my eyes anyway. Likewise for Brax. They were introduced as these bad boys that would shake up the bay and to have him turn out to be completely clean, or for him to change his ways for the love of a good woman would be a bit of a cop out. And I'm sick of all the on again off again relationships on the show. There's already enough of them to put up with without having Brax and Charlie be another one. Plus Charlie's relationship with Angelo was one of them too so I'm not in the mood for seeing her doing all that again.

The only times I've really noticed her facial expressions is when she's in full on cop mode. She always looks like she's smelling something awful. Can't say it really bothers me though, and like the person above says, at least she has facial expressions. How bad has Romeo been with this whole Indi thing!! Sometimes I can't even tell if he's awake never mind what he's feeling.

Oh God don't remind me. At least he was actually Irish though, or at least I think he was? I know Australia is a massive place compared to Ireland but from this end it seems like it would be impossible to throw a stone without hitting an Irish person in Australia at the moment. I could see a couple of sun burned Irish folks hanging around the caravan park being judged by Coleen.

Has there ever been any Irish characters in Home & Away? Myself and a few friends were talking the other day and were saying that half the young Irish population must be in Australia by now, so some of the soaps should start introducing Irish people. We were only joking about it but it got me wondering if there ever were any Irish people on it?

I only remember them showing the scene where Heath was kind of flirting with her when they took the car out. They did do some sneaky editing to make it look like Charlie was telling Heath to stay away from Ruby, but when the episodes aired she was talking about Casey.

Does anyone know what the tattoo on his side says? I haven't been able to get a good look at it. I know the one on the inside of his arm says "one crowded hour" which is the name of a song by Augie March. I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or if he's a super fan of theirs.

Yeah I thought the same thing. Like you said, most of the rest of the promo has happened already so it can't be that far off.

I know it's Home & Away so things happen at super fast speed but he's only been on the show a few weeks and people are rabid for them to get together already. And I'm sure they will* which will inevitably lead to a break up and then they'll get back together and break up etc. etc. When was the last time they had a couple take their time getting together and then just stay together? Sally & Flynn? Rachel & Tony? * Oh and I was just reading the character descriptions on the H&A website and it says about Brax and some I'm trying to catch up on a few episodes so I haven't seen all their episodes yet. Seems a bit random to throw that into the description and then not do anything with it.

I like him, and I have to say as a mid 20's viewer it's nice to have a proper manly man around again. I know a lot of the teens are way older than they're playing but as their characters are kids and have typical teen story lines I see them as kids. I can't remember the last time there was a proper manly man around. I don't count Angelo or Liam as they're a bit wishy washy for me. Jack maybe? I don't know.... Anyway, I like this Brax guy. I'm sure he's nowhere near as clean as he wants Charlie to believe but he's probably not quite as bad as she seems to think either. Although if Charlie wasn't that bothered about Angelo killing someone then she could probably get past anything that Brax has been up to. I'm not too sure how I feel about his brothers yet, but they should definitely keep Brax around long term. Oh and I absolutely love how he says eh all the time in the middle of conversations. So cute.

I know it's not a reason to put them together, but I just meant that if they were going to get them together that they should do it as soon as possible before their friendship develops even more and we do end up with an exact repeat of Aden/Nicole. Although I do quite like the idea of them as a couple, it would be nice to have a proper boy/girl friendship on the show. I liked Aden and Nicole's friendship too, and although I did want them together originally, I think the writers ruined their friendship in the end. So basically, get Nicole and Romeo together right now, or don't ever ever do it, ever!!! If you look at Belle, she was in the gang of teens with Lucas, Drew, Maddie, Ric, etc. and once they all finished school they left, Belle was left on her own and for ages she had nothing to do and nobody to interact with. I firmly believe that the only reason the put her with Aden was because he was literally the only other teen around at the time, and luckily for them it worked. So unless Nicole gives up her fashion plans and decides she'll be quite happy cleaning tables at the diner, she'd probably be better off leaving next year.

Right, I was all for Nicole and Aden from she first appeared, but then they waited so long to do it and did it on the back of Belle/Aden and also did it despite the fact that Aden was leaving a few months later, so they pretty much ruined that one for me. Nicole and Romeo I see as having the same kind of fun friendship that she and Aden had, and I don't see them as brother and sister. I like the idea of them as a couple, but if they're going to get them together they'd need to do it sooner rather than later. If they leave it for ages and have them develop the friendship side of it, it'll become more and more like a sibling thing and then it'll just be another Aden/Nicole thing. I personally am getting a bit sick of Nicole hooking up with practically every new guy that comes to the bay, and then them turning out to be psychos or her friends dad It'd be nice to see her in a happy stable relationship with a nice guy who makes her happy and treats her well, and then give her a storyline that isn't about her love life. I think Romeo would be a good long term boyfriend for her. Only problem is, what are they going to do with Nicole next year? She's already repeated her final year, and nobody in Summer Bay ever really hangs around after high school.

I really like him now Annie's gone. Not that I had anything against her, but that storyline was kind of boring. His interactions with VJ were great, and you know there's violence in his backstory somewhere. I also like how he doesn't seem to be into drink and drugs and yet isn't an annoying holier than thou preachy pain about it all (I'm looking at you Geoffrey!!) He's able to say no to that stuff but can still have fun and enjoy life. I had a thought today while watching him. Anyone else think him and Nicole would make a good couple? I know we seem to be headed down the Nicole/Aden path at the moment, which is fine by me, but just seeing how mature and level headed Romeo is, and Nicole is trying her very hardest to be more mature. I just think he's the kind of stable, good guy that she needs. Who knows? Anyway......I love Romeo

I saw in the spoiler thread in the magazine scans bit for an episode next week or the week after..... Just as a matter of interest how long has it been in Australia since Belle's death. I didn't watch that on Australian timeline and it only happened last week here, so I'm not sure how long ago it was?
