  1. Good chapter. The scene between Annie, Jai and Mel was really good. You're writing the friendships between these three really well throughout this fic. Nicole choosing to wait outside was so much better then her antics in the last chapter. While choosing to avoid dealing with being around Mel, unless she has too, isn't the perfect solution and definitely isn't going to work in the longrun I think it's best thing for now until she can wrap her head around things or enough so that can be around her without lashing out. I liked Geoff's reaction to going to see the scan. Looks like he's starting to get used to the idea of being a father. When Nic decided to barge back over there and tell Melody to change her plans it reminded all too much about the way she was in the last chapter. Which feels less like struggling to deal with being the situation she's in but more wanting to date Geoff but not deal with what being with him means. And turning into a spoilt brat throwing tantrums when faced with it. But after her initial bratty comments here I started to really enjoy how this scene was progressing. Because this time there was more emotion behind it. It makes it easier to get into in a scene when it's written in that way, even if the scene involves characters I don't really like. She crossed the line by slapping Mel and I don't agree with what she did at all. But I think it will be interesting to see how this is going affect the way things are going right now. The scene between Nicole and Kirsty was surpisingly good. Kirsty is definitely more likeable in this fic then on the show. And it looks like it's the harsh reality of this situation they are in is finally hitting home for Nicole.
  2. Thats why I mentioned that noone, including me I should add, would realistically expect her to be friendly with Mel but the way she behaved in that last scene was out of line and incredibly over the top. This is tough situation for the whole three of them. While Nicole may be hurt and understandably so I think she needs to remember that Melody doesn't exactly have it easy at the moment as well. She's 15, pregnant and really confused, and even in that state was able to make time to think about how her behaviour and whats going will affect others. So I don't think it would be asking much of Nicole to try and look beyond her own hurt feelings and do the same. I know thats never been her strong suit but I thought she might surprise me. And if she didn't think she could, which would also be understandable at this point, then she should have taken more time to think about what she wants and whether she will actually be able to deal with all that comes with being involved with a guy that has a girl pregnant with his baby before choosing to jump back in a relationship with him. A snarky comment here or there from Nicole I could understand but it's hard for me to feel sympathy for her when she's not even going to make the slightest effort to try and make this already difficult situation work. I should add that while I don't agree with her actions I find it to be very in character with the way I see her on the show. So it works for me.
  3. It's good to know that Geoff made it clear to Nicole, before they got back together, that the baby and Melody too are now apart of his life. And thats the way it has to be. I'm glad he adressed that with her. Loved this exchange between them. And on top of it being funny it made me smile as well. As for Irene I would like to say that she wouldn't react like that normally but from what we've seen from her at times in the last 2 years or so I actually can see her being this way. But I liked this scene anyway. Also her comeback to Nicole which highlighted just how ridiculous she was being about Mel working there. As for Nicole, noone will expect her to become friends with Mel or even like her but since she chose to get back together with Geoff, whose life includes Melody now, she needs to start atleast making an effort to be civil with her. And kicking up a fuss because Melody is working at the diner is not a good start.
  4. In the chapter before this last one I can't say it really held my interest much. It was hard to get into that chapter mainly because I just can't bring myself to care about Geoff and Nicole's relationship issues. Even Nicole finding out about her boyfriend getting someone pregnant wasn't enough. I did however like Geoff feeling like he needed to go talk to Annie. While he isn't obligated to explain himself to her it's nice that he cares enough to want to talk about it with her anyway. And I did like Jai coming to Mel's defense there for a second but I agree with Mile's that taking sides isn't going to do anyone any good. This last chapter was a good one. That was a nice scene between Aden and Mel. I like that you brought up whats going on but still managed to keep the scene between them simple. Poor Annie, I really do feel for her but it's good that Jai reminded her about forgiveness being one of her beliefs too. I'm glad Annie and Mel made up.
  5. I really don't like these two together. I just couldn't buy into Ruby's sudden strong feelings and attraction to him when he first arrived (and even now as well) or how she could let herself become so clingy, desperate and weak-willed over him off all people. I can't for the life of me understand what she could possibly see in him. And while she is still a better character then most on the show right now, this relationship really ruined her character for me and I don't find her to be anywhere as good a character as she used to be.
  6. It was interesting to see just how easily Christine was able to slip back into her old ways of dealing with things. I could actually see that happenning if she were ever in a position like this. I'm glad it was a temporary slip though but at the same time I like that it worked to make Melody change her mind about leaving. I liked all the talks between the characters here. Especially the ones between Annie and Kirsty, and Melody and Jai.
  7. That certainly backfired on him. I like how he immediately realised that he is the one to blame for not being told. I really thought he would react differently to Annie not telling him because isn't that always the case, someone tries to talk to someone else, they repeatedly don't want to listen and then get angry and throw out that "You should have told me" line when people stop bothering to tell them anything. Weird thing to focus this much attention on, I know. But I found his reaction amusing. I'm glad that you are letting us in on whats going on in their heads. With Melody in previous chapters especially and now with Geoff. It helps make me care about the characters. I'm glad that Geoff is actually taking the time to think about what he wants to do, well atleast he was before that part at the end. But I guess you can't blame him for blurting it out like that considering whats happening.
  8. I liked the use of the word "condition" from Christine when refferring to Melody being pregnant. Even if she is learning to be more openminded and accepting I can't imagine her being completely comfortable with the idea of Mel being pregnant just yet. I can understand Mel feeling the need to test her with the abortion question. She's going, I wasn't expecting that. I wonder if Geoff finds out about her leaving and if he does whether he'll try to stop her from doing so.
  9. I'm glad that Aden realised what an idiot he was being for getting involved with a loanshark just so he could afford an expensive ring. And I'm even more happy about the fact that this ridiculous loanshark storyline is over, I'm guessing it is anyway. The proposal was sweet. And Aden's smile throughout it definitely had me smiling as well.
  10. Melody handled herself around Geoff really well. She still seems fragile, sweet and caring like the old Melody yet a bit stronger at the same time. I like it. I don't know what to think about Geoff yet. Apart from the fact that someone needs to sit him down and give him the talk. 3 girls and each time has now turned into a pregnancy scare or an actual pregnancy. When will he learn? Nice chat between Annie and Melody. So Christine's back, this should be interesting.
  11. You make Miles, Kirsty and Jai seem like more of a family then they do on the show. Poor Annie keep being stopped for some reason or the other from seeing her friend. That part about making him say the words I'm not sure why but I really liked that two lines.
  12. Jai's immediate reaction made me I'm glad he convinced her to let Miles and Kirsty know about her being pregnant. I liked the fact that Miles decided to talk to her alone I'm sure Melody would feel more comfortable talking to just him rather then having them all in the room. I thought Miles handled himself really well here. As much as I wished this pregnancy storyline would just be focused on Melody with Miles and Jai, and Kirsty and Annie as well I guess since it's a Mel/Geoff/Nic fic they (Geoff and Nicole) had to get involved sooner or later.
  13. I love the concept of this fic. It's also written really well. And I can think of a certain couple in another fandom that this would work perfectly for but I don't feel like works with Aden and Belle. I can see her getting insecure if he started spending too much time with Nicole while they (Aden and Belle) were going through a rough patch in their relationship at some time but I can't imagine her ever checking up on him in general because shes worried he'd cheat. Also when it comes to whats expected of him in their relationship I think Aden has had it pretty easy so far. Infact the only time he ever truly had to work for forgiveness was when he dumped his girlfriend because it was too painful for him and spent the time apart having sex with someone else. And even then he got forgiven for it really easily so if this is meant to take place at Buck's night of his thats coming up in the show then he comes of has kinda melodramatic and too self-pitying for my liking. But then again thats how he is on the show when he's hurt so..... So anyways great fic and awesomely written but for me with the wrong characters. Maybe if it was Aden and Belle in the future, now that I could possibly see.
  14. This part is interesting. Considering it almost sounds like Melody is sad about her mother just letting her leave leads me to wonder whether Christine didn't revert back to her old ways after all. And what Miles suggested was right. But then that ending left me wondering whether Melody wasn't truly upfront with Miles has to what happened with her and Christine. Like that Jai is the one who found out about her being pregnant. Hopefully it will lead to alot more scene between these two.
  15. That scene with Miles and Melody has definitely got me interested. I wonder what happened with Melody and considering it's Christine she went off with I can only imagine the worst.
  16. I really liked Matilda. She's another character who I felt we actually got to see slowly growing up over time rather then overnight. I found her to be a bit selfish and immature at times but for most part I thought she was great and really enjoyed watching her. She did become kinda boring during her last months on the show so by the time she left I wasn't too sad about it. And I liked the ending they gave her. I have to agree with this. While it would be nice to see her again I'd rather they didn't bring her back for this very reason.
  17. I forgot about that one. Although it looks like Adens good behaviour bond has become something for underhanded people to bring up in order to get what they want. Well, atleast it's still being mentioned.
  18. No need to be sorry, I was just confused by your comment and wanted to explain myself incase it came off like I was stating that my opinion was the right one because I was to lazy to add an 'IMO' or 'To me' to it. And, yes, I think they aren't ready for marriage. But then again I don't think that there are many couples on this show are ever ready for it either. I've said what I think about why he suddenly has a desire to propse but as for the baby talk, it only came up because Belle thought she might be pregnant after feeling ill. Aden reacted with shock at the idea then later on reassurred her he would be there for her if she were to fall pregnant. Although he did mention that having kids any time soon was not something he was thinking about but he did make it clear that if it happenned anyway she could count on him. So he's not thinking about them starting a family just yet, infact the idea freaked him out a bit there, but he does see them, from his words, having kids someday in the future. I agree with you here. Unfortunately I learnt to just accept that the writers are going to do what they want and I just hope they can do a good enough job at it and make it as believable as possible. And clearly the writers want this marriage stuff. I get what you're saying here but I disagree with that. About them giving up when thing got a little rough - lashing out at you're girlfriend and calling her a skank because the situation you were in reminded one of the sexual abuse by his grandfather, then having your boyfriend suffer a mental breakdown and take you hostage while trying to kill his father, and then breaking up with someone because of a drug addiction that is bringing back memories of your alcoholic father, I think these events were more then things getting a little rough or a little blip. And I do believe that you need to stick each other through the hard times, and thats one area that Aden especially seemed to fail in, theres no denying that, but he's working on it and we saw that from the way he was recently while helping her with Irene. They may end their relationship but they are still there for each other more often then not, well Belle more then Aden but as I was saying the writers are starting to adress that. The skank issue, Belle could have easily walked away but she gave him the benefit of the doubt, he just wasn't ready to tell her yet and only then did she give up. But in the end he did find the courage to tell her and in the next episode we got that talk between them were we saw them deal with how he was feeling together. After the hostage situation we saw her still go see him after a while and then even put aside her own feelings and offer to be there for him throughout. When he didn't feel like he could tell the truth in court and was risking ruining his future because of his fears it was her who made him realise what he was doing. Even when he didn't want to listen. She was the one who then, even things were not going good between at the time, put aside all that and talked him into seeing his father because it could good for him. Even went with him and we once again saw him confide in her how he felt. After they got back together, we saw him taking care of her throughtout her many stays at the hospital, willing to put back uni because he didn't want to leave her when she needed him, and even though I think they dropped the ball after that for a while with Aden so I'm not going to deny the fact that he was a lousy boyfriend for while after. His break up with her after finding out about the addiction was a bad move but I didn't like it but atleast we were given a pausible reason for it and after she came out of rehab we've seen him be her friend, apart from acting like jerk again with Liam, he came through in the end and helped with that situation and then preceded to be her friend and be there for while she was dealing with Irene and stuff. My point in this long ramblings about all the times they've been there with each other through difficult times is that they may break up alot but it never stops them from being involved in each others life, being for each other, and while sometimes it takes while before they can reach out to each other they almost always do in the end. Broken up or not I find they deal with more issues together, and yes not all their issues but most, then most couples. We've seen couples who stay together but never deal with their issues but rather gloss over it and then move on so I don't believe that staying together all the time nessasarily means that a relationship is stronger. Their relationship is far from perfect but they seem to working on it and I don't think they are ready for marriage just yet and the whole point of my first post was that I don't think the writers were ever trying to tell us they were in the first place. And now I feel like I'm going around in circles so I'll stop. BTW, this is just the way I see things and my opinion on their relationship. And when I write really long posts I tend to get carried away and it ends up coming off more strongly then I was hoping. So sorry about that.
  19. His good behaviour bond was actually brought up by someone. I was surprised. Although it's kinda funny that when someone finally brings that up with Aden, it's a loan-shark who does it. I'm glad it was mentioned again but I always assumed if or when it did, it would be someone who cares trying to talk sense into him to stop from doing something stupid.
  20. Not sure what you meant by the '....basically saying 'you're right' comment but if it was implying that I was saying that I'm right and thats the way it is and everyones else opinion on it isn't then I probably should have have added my usual 'To me' at the beginning of it because that wasn't what I was saying. I just figured by now it would be taken for granted that everything in my post would be how I see everything from what we have been given on the show so far about the proposing stuff. And, to me, it feels like the writers have gone to great lengths to show what I wrote about. I wouldn't call them a bunch of dumb kids, now if they had only got together recently then maybe I would but thats not the case here. They've been in love for a long time now and even when apart or with others that has always been clear. And, I should say to me, it's clear that they both see this has the real thing. They may not have spoken about marriage, which is not surprising considering their age, but it's clear that they want a future together anyway, and that would include marriage later on. But I just think that they getting so caught up in this new chapter in their lives and enjoying being carefree and happy that they suddenly want to do everything now and don't see the point in waiting. Their relationship is in a good place right now and they've taken steps in learning how to handle the issues in a much more mature way. And that could end up making them feel even more like maybe they can handle marriage too. It's like a case of ' this is what we want and see happening in the future anyway so why wait'. Thats just the way I see it. It would most likely would blow up in their faces, I never said it was smart or that I'm actually for them getting married, just that if they insist on doing this storyline then I find this situation more believable then when they try sell the idea of characters the same age, who have just has much drama in their lives, are ready for marriage and everything that comes along with it.
  21. I've noticed something since it came out that Aden planned to propose and ever since, how everytime new spoilers comes out so many keep trying to use it has further proof that Aden and Belle are nowhere close to being ready for marriage, this amuses me since there has been no indication, on the actual show, that the writers were ever trying to tell us that Aden planning to propose was because they are ready. Telling each other they love one another and talking about their future doesn't mean they are and thats all they've done. It's seriously amusing to see people using spoilers to keep pointing out something that the writers are clearly telling us outright anyway. The scene when Aden was telling Nicole about his plans was a clear indication that his sudden desire to propose wasn't after some serious consideration and coming to the decision that he and Belle are infact ready to take on all this. He came to this desicion after a joke that Belle made, and his comment about it not being the first time she brought it up was about another joke she made a few months ago. If that wasn't enough Nicole's reaction basically gives away the writers intentions. Nicole's reaction was a classic example of how we were meant to react to his idea and how we were meant to take it. His decision to propose because of what Belle said is crazy and impulsive and not all that smart but very believable coming from a 19/20 year old who is, right now, unbelievably happy and hopelessy in love with his girlfriend. The writers seem to be going out of their way to show this lately. Aden, at times, just looks deriously happy with their living situation and the fact that they can't stop declaring how they feel about each other which at any other time would probably be annoying after a while and have me saying 'we got it already' but it actually makes sense here. Aden and Belle, ever since they got together, haven't had a chance to truly be happy with each other at any point because of the things in their life and after they got back together recently thats all they've been. Theres been drama but it's not about them. This is the first time, in about a year of loving each other, that they've really got a chance to just let loose and be happy with each other and they are clearly enjoying it and getting caught up in it all, and rightly so, who wouldn't in their position and considering all the time and pain it took to get here. Right now they are just two people enjoying being together after waiting so long for this and getting caught in this. Yes, they've proved that they have grown up a bit recently and handling their relationship with a bit more maturity and thats good but they are still two very implusive people who are only 19/20 years old and I'm glad the writers aren't forgetting that. And not every decision they make is going to be after some careful thought. And I'm glad that the writers are finally writing them like that, the way people their age might act in this situation. It beats the way they keep trying to marry of the younger characters, like Martha and Jack or Tasha and Robbie and trying to convince the audience it's because these couples are ready to take on something like marriage at this age. And anyways in the last three years I don't think theres been one couple on this show who have actually been ready for marriage anyway.
  22. Angels & Demons.
  23. That was so well written. What got to me the most was, the way his mother spoke about how his father was when she met him and how she felt about him, that could so easily be Belle writing about Aden.
  24. I'm enjoying the way things are with them right now. It's nice to just see them be happy with each other for a while.
  25. I really liked this relationship at first. They weren't exactly blowing me away with massive amounts of chemistry in their scenes but they seemed like they would be good for each other. And they were great to watch. I felt for Charlie after the OC when Roman was neglecting her. He wasn't treating her very well but I liked the way they resolved that. And after that I do believe that Roman had learnt from that and started treating her alot better. I started going of them when Charlie's began to continuosly have a go at him for every simple action of his. It's like he couldn't to anything right in her eyes anymore. Not to mention her inability to respect the fact he isn't always going to agree with her. During the Ross storyline I was willing to cut her some slack even though it became more and more annoying the way she would complain about him not caring yet whenever he offered an opinion or tried to help she would have a go at him for interfering, if his opinion on the situation didn't match hers. And the Angelo situation didn't help. Being there for her friend and feeling angry on his behalf is one thing but expecting Roman, who is basically like family to Aden, to agree with her as well as accusing him of being the type of person who would cheat because he wasn't jumping at the chance to lash out at Aden and Belle for their actions was ridiculous. Apparently being the kind of person who chooses to support the people he cares about, even when they mess up and do things he doesn't approve of, instead of being judgemental and making them feel worse is a bad trait in her books. I was dissappointed when the writers used Roman's feelings for Martha as the only reason they broke up. Sure it played a big part but as far as I'm concerned, from what we were seeing at the time, this relationship wasn't going to work even if he didn't have those feelings and him being in love with Martha just made him realise that it wasn't worth the effort to try and make this already doomed relationship works. The relationship started going downhill and he started looking like he really wanted an out a little while before Roman realised he still loved Martha. And it really started to make Charlie look ridiculous when she kept repeating the 'he broke up with me without warning' line. What warning did she expect? Him to let her know in advance that he planned on breaking up with her. The only other way they could have been any warning was if there was any indication that the relationship was in trouble, and how blind did she have to be not to realise that in the few weeks leading up to the break up things weren't exactly rosy there? Infact Roman seemed downright exhausted. Could she really be that oblivious? Her '... nothing left to live for' line to Roman was kinda pathetic. Did she forget about her little sister? Maybe thats harsh but I didn't find that break up enough to warrant this amount of self-pity. Infact she just sounded like a drama queen. They could have been so good together and I had such high hopes for them when they got together but by the time they ended I was relieved.
