  1. I'm loving what they are doing with Annie in recent months. Shes definitely getting better with time. I never really disliked her before now but I did used to find her incredibly annoying at times. Sticking her in the background and only using her at times to interfere in her brothers love life and in certain scenes with Ruby and Jai, even though I like three of them as friends, wasn't a good idea. And it came to a point where she could dissappear I wouldn't notice. I liked how they included her in the Belle storyline. The scenes after she found out about the drugs where some of the best we've seen from Annie at the time. It was so understandable that she would have felt betrayed and hurt. And I found her to be so much more convincing then Geoff in those scenes. I liked her apology and her line about listening to Geoff talk about it and not wanting to be like that. Her recent scene with Irene slapping her was brilliantly done. I'm so glad Charlotte's getting better stuff to work with now. So far shes shown that she can pull it off perfectly. And right now I'm looking forward to seeing more of Annie and I hope they don't stick her background again or go back to only having her hanging around Ruby and Jai and commenting on Geoff's love life every once in a while. Because it would be a waste of a good actress and someone who's turing out to be really good character.
  2. To me it's always been obvious from the second that she got pregnant that things will end in ones of two ways 1) Claudia will be made into the villian or 2) if they let her, by some miracle, be genuine she'd loose the baby and then disappear after a while. Seems like they are going going in the direction of the first one. No surprises there. These shows are hardly ever original when it comes to teen pregnancy storylines. I wouldn't be sad to see this relationship come to an end. I've said it before she seemed like a character I was going to like in that first scene but then turned into yet another terribly dull character on the show and I'd rather they write her out then keep her like this. And apart from the fact that there have been one or two moments where I've actually liked a scene between them, mainly because their scenes comes off more naturally then when he was with Nicole, I don't care for this relationship. If they had done so many things differently this could have been a nice enough storyline but I'd rather they ended it.
  3. I'm happy to see that Aden will be I'm looking forward to it. With the way things have been recently with them, I was a little worried that the writers wouldn't bother to have a scene between them.
  4. Belle: "What was that for?" Aden: "Do I need a reason? Ok do me a favor, remember this moment to remind me how happy you make me feel incase I'm ever stupid enough to break up with you." - A teeny bit sappy but sweet and very Aden-like as well. And some good advice that I hope Belle takes because I'm sure his ability to act stupid at times when it comes to Belle and dealing with his feelings for her will shine through at some point or the other. He wouldn't be Aden if it didn't. It's good that all the drama was not about their relationship for a change. Also liked seeing them talking about Irene. Good to see them talk about this stuff and dealing with it together.
  5. I liked that scene with them on the couch just before Geoff and Annie had to leave. It was a simple scene and not really important but they seemed so relaxed and at ease with each other that it was nice to watch. They seemed genuinely happy around each other. The happiness and smiling didn't feel as fake and so obviously acted like it always did with Nicole. I actually watched it more then once with is surprising since it involved Geoff. For the first time I really bought them as a couple. Also good to see them being able to joke about the baby without everything suddenly becoming awkward. The little bit with them in the background holding on to each other after he introduced her to Irene was kinda sweet as well. Still not sure about them as a couple in general but I found them nice enough to watch here and that hasn't happened in a long while in scenes that involve Geoff.
  6. The reunion episode was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I liked watching them interact with each other before they got back together as much as after. The scene in the kitchen with Belle breaking down was done really well. You could hear it in her voice as she was talking even before she fully started crying. Now thats good acting. I liked that they brought up her recovery. Aden was great to watch in this scene. There was a big difference in the way he carried himself in this scene to the way he might have in the past. For the first time it truly felt like all he cared about was her getting better. The Rachel/Aden scene was nice. It's good that he has someone to vent too. Rachel seems to be giving both Belle and Aden some pretty good advice lately. If only she could do the same when it comes to her own life she would be so much more likeable. The scene on the beach was really good. Belle coming to a place where she feels like Aden would be better of without her was really sad. Although seeing her admit that shes not completely recovered as she thought and was so determined to keep from falling back into taking drugs was lovely to watch. Aden climbing through the window was as well the 'just like old time times' comments. Seeing her being stubborn about not wanting to see him was kinda fun. Aden not leaving and telling her that he was proud of her was such a sweet moment. I think she really needed to hear that from someone and coming from him made it better. Belle's happiness as Angelo was telling her the good news about Irene made me smile. My favourite part was Aden's smile there. It was so genuine and felt real, whether it was relief over finding out about Irene as well as seeing how happy Belle was.....I don't know but I loved it. Aden's 'don't ruin the moment' comment was another that had me smiling. The that kiss. That last scene was awesome. In all the sweetness and maturity that lead to this moment (which I loved) it was also great to see some good old fashion banter between them and some cheekiness from Aden. Definitely a fun scene to watch. And the 'break-up' lets hope they keep their promise about future break-ups. This is definitely going down as one of my all time favourite Adelle episodes.
  7. I don't really care for this relationship. But I must say, while I'm not sure I entirely agree with him giving her an ultimatum, I'm actually glad that he let her know where he stands. Laying it all out there and letting her know how he feels about her having an abortion. It's a step up from the way he usually stands in the background doing nothing and preferring to not deal with anything head on unless he's forced to. As for the relationship being rushed it's really no different then his relationship with Nicole, to me atleast. He had a crush on her for all of one week and then one kiss and they are having sex. Like it's the normal thing for him to do. I don't buy the reason for it is because they thought they were going to die, neither of seem to be thinking of that when it happened. Followed by a pregnancy scare. Only difference here is that Claudia actually got pregnant. I don't think for a second that they will go through with having Claudia have the baby and have Geoff be the father. Bringing in Lachie seems to make that very obvious. And if Geoff really is the father then I'm sure she'll loose the baby in one way or the other. It seems like the predictable stuff they usually pull with these kind of storylines and I'll be very surprised if it doesn't happen here as well.
  8. Those Aden and Belle ones are amazing. Love them. I'm going to use that last one, hope it's okay?
  9. I wish they would change her clothing. She is very pretty but those clothes they have her wear don't her any favors. While the writing is also to blame those clothes definitely help in making her look way older then she really is. Still not liking her character. I don't think her relationship with Miles works. Their scenes are lot better to watch when they are away from each other. Shes nowhere near as bad as she was last year but I still can't bring myself to like her. I like characters that aren't perfect, are constantly messing up and make you frustrated yet at the same time you can't help but feel for them. With Kirsty though, it's just frustration and I can't bring myself to feel for her. I find myself just getting tired of her more often then not.
  10. I'm sad that this relationship seems to have been completely forgotten. It was obviously but I wasn't expecting them to be completely over each other Well, I don't know if they are but it seems that way.
  11. As much as I'm enjoying her scenes with Aden recently I'm liking her scenes with Irene and Annie just as much. I'm glad they are focusing on her relationships with them too. She seems to have developed a nice sisterly bond with Annie. Their scenes together are sweet and kinda funny too. It's nice to watch. I love the way she is standing by Irene and how determined she is to help her. As much as I have enjoyed Belle's recent storyline its good to see Belle being there for someone rather then being the one who needs help. She always been good in that role. Their scenes together are lovely and I hope theres lots more to come. Belle, herself, seems to be doing really well at the moment. She seems to be slowly getting stronger. I said it in another thread, but I'm glad the writers aren't forgetting about her recovery. Last week the writing was really good for her and I'm hoping it continues in this way. Her hooking up with Liam was one of the few things I wasn't happy with. One good thing is they didn't seem to get very far at all. But even then I'm not seeing any good reason for why the writers needed to go there at all. Everything that happened could have played out in the exact same whether they were together or not. Her and Aden seems to have come out of all this drama stronger then ever, she is developing these nice relationships with Irene and Annie, and even seems to have become closer with Rachel and Kirsty. Right at this moment I'm liking what they doing with her.
  12. I just caught up with the last three Aden and Belle episodes. And I enjoyed it more then I was expecting to. Wednesday - Aden's petty ways are so much more fun to watch when Belle is hitting right back. Infact it's kinda fun to watch when both characters are being treated equally. Instead of the usual 'he says something mean, she takes it while looking sad'. I liked the back and forth between them here. But at the same time I'm glad they aren't overdoing it and trying to portray Belle as not caring about Aden, that wouldn't be like her. She still cares and is affected by him being around but just not acting so weak and fragile everytime he's around, thats what I've always wanted. Aden listening in on Belle and Liam's conversation was pretty entertaining. He looked like he wanted to really punch someone or something. I liked Belle's 'Thanks for asking, it's nice to know someone cares' comment. I mean, offcourse Aden cares about her but he is going about showing it all wrong. Infact he seems to be causing her more stress then anything. He seems so hellbent on proving his point about Liam, which I don't really blame him for, but he hasn't so much has sat down and asked how she's coping or Irene is once. Anyways I truly enjoyed the Aden and Belle scenes here. Neither made me angry, bored me or annoyed me in any way. All three (Belle, Liam and Aden) characters felt like equals and didn't feel like the writers were biased to towards any one (namely Aden), which is good. Thursday - Good to see with everything going on Belle or the writers haven't forgotten about her recovery. Glad it was mentioned that she is still recovering and it wasn't forgotten. Loved the Belle and Aden scene in the diner. I'm glad there wasn't an 'I told you so' kinda remark from Aden. Infact I wasn't expecting him to actually make her feel better about believing Liam. That was a nice surprise. Guess he does actually know her and the reasons she does certain things, he just gets to worked up about things to show that. Belle not wanting to put things on hold and wanting end things with Liam before they got even more complicated, thats a first in a long while. Too bad she didn't think like that with Angelo, but I guess it goes to show she is slowly learning from her mistakes this time around. The little bit of banter between Aden and Belle made me smile. It was all flirty and kinda fiesty. I loved that scene between them, just the right amount of sweet and fun. We need more of this. Amazingly enough Aden going up there playing the hero didn't make me roll my eyes. Maybe it's because he handled himself better in this episode and the last that it actually ended up working. Rather then if they had him keep behaving like a jerk right up until this moment then try and make him out to be the hero, which is what I would have hated and actually thought they would do. Friday - This was a good episode for Belle, Aden and Liam. Aden handled himself well and his words to Liam was really good. I'm glad they kept it simple and didn't try to portray Aden has being full of wisdom. It seemed more like he was speaking from experiance and doing his best to help the situation. He also seemed like he has a better understanding of Belle. I liked his comment about her being forgiving, I'm glad he seems to realise this and all these other qualities of hers he talked about. Because sometimes it does feel like he takes her for granted and I'm left wondering if he truly appreciates and realises how much she's done for him since they got together. Liam's explanation for everything was great too, but I'll leave that for a different thread. After Aden walked away after everything was sorted I was worried a bit thinking he was back to letting his hurt feelings get in the way of being there for her so I was glad when he came to check on her later on anyway. It was nice to see him do that. That scene made me smile. It was great to see him reassure her like that and being in the supportive role and actually being supportive for once. It's no surprise Belle brokedown like that. She really has had lots on her plate recently. I loved this scene, simple yet touching. Amazingly enough this love triangle actually seems to have ended up with each of the characters in a better place. Rather then ruining them like most triangles. Liam is finally getting help and has admitted why he attached himself to Belle. He is clearly not better yet, but it's start and he's on his way to get proper help, atleast I hope he is. Aden showed that he actually does know Belle and understands the kind of person she is. Even if he acts like a jerk about it at times. And Belle actually admitted that she was in love with someone and thats why she couldn't be with someone else. A few days too late but atleast it came. And even though she brokedown on Friday she seems stronger lately. The Adelle scenes from the last three episodes were great. I thoroughly enjoyed watching every second of them. I was not dissappointed at all. I hope we get lots more Adelle type scenes that can leave me feeling like this about them.
  13. Whats with him keep jumping to conclusions everytime he sees some article on Belle and Liam. First he sees one with them smiling and that must mean she is having an affair with a married man. Then he sees another one after he saw her deny that anything was going on with Liam to a photographer who clearly looked like he didn't care about the truth, and jumps to more conclusions. Now Liam comes into the surf club clearly acting differently then how he was during his last two conversations with Aden where Liam seemed more mature, even though he came out with some witty lines, and like he didn't have time for Aden and his jealousy. How does Aden not notice that? Instead he takes that to mean that there must have been something going on between Belle and Liam all along and she only said she needed space to spare his feelings, can't possibly mean that she actually does just need space from him. And then his comment about her saying she needed space yet she doesn't seem to need space from everyone else. Well ofcourse she doesn't need space from everyone else. When did she say she did? I pretty sure when she spoke about needing space it was space from him specifically because of their relationship and how complicated it always is and not being ready to go back to that again, not to mention all the recent stuff. How was that not clear to him? Why on earth would she need space from everyone else? I know they have a story to tell, and for some odd reason they need to have Aden and Belle be at odds, but do they have to dumb Aden down like this in order to create these problems? This is not the first time this year that they've done it too. I also have this annoying feeling that having Belle and Liam hookup, which I can't see any other reason for considering whats to come for Aden and Belle apart from maybe a reason to put Liam in a worse state, it is going to be used as a way to justify Aden's recent jealousy and behaviour all around. Which it does NOT. Because, according to the writers since the OC, when he is in the wrong, why actually let him be in the wrong, show remorse and actually work at redeeming himself and making up for it, when you can find a way to have Belle hurt his feelings, turn it around on her, and turn him into the victim instead?
  14. This was amazing. I enjoyed every second of it. Aden and Belle's reaction to the news that she was going to die was done so well and was definitely my favourite parts. It was pretty realistic. Aden leaving like that was sad but for once I liked him storming out. You could feel the emotion there. I'm glad that you had Belle breakdown, about all things she would miss and being to young to die, and let everything out like anyone would do in that situation instead of staying strong and being brave for the sake of everyone. Felt more real that way. Belle and Irene's speeches to each other was beautiful. Sweet but not to overdone, which I liked. I didn't even mind Belle calling Irene 'mum' because atleast she acknowledged Amanda and the fact she loved her but it was Irene who truly looked after her. Like Belle and Irene's, Belle and Aden's speeches to each other was also done really well. No big words or anything too profound, just them simply expressing how they felt about each other one last time. The letter was a nice touch and sounds like something Belle would do. Brilliant oneshot. There was nothing I didn't love about it. You are definitely a talented writer.
  15. I don't know what to make of Trey. I do know that if he left the show right now I wouldn't be happy or sad, it actually wouldn't make much of a difference to me anyway. He isn't bringing anything worthwhile to the show right now.
  16. I never understood why Irene is almost always in the background considering she is a character that so many clearly love and want to see more of and she is played by an extremely talented actress. I only hope after this storyline is done the writers don't forget about her again. It would be a shame if they did. I'm loving the way they are handling this storyline. At first I was worried that they were going to focus on the investigation part of it instead of Irene. But I'm glad they aren't and they are focusing on Irene and what she's going through because of it as well as the other stuff. It makes the storyline more interesting. As much as I feel for Irene and want to see her get better eventually I hope this plays out for long while because I'm really enjoying this storyline.
  17. Liam took a step backwards yesterday but I found his behaviour somewhat understandable, considering his current state and the situation he is in, even if it was selfish of him to be demanding Belle help him considering what she's dealing with. His talk with Aden made me smile. Their 'pop princess' and 'you slept with your sister' comments were funny. They were like two kids trading insults. When Aden started going on about whats best for Belle and what she needs, while I do like him again, I liked Liam throwing the way Aden treated Belle back in his face. Someone needed to because Aden was sounding very hipocritical there. I loved him adding the word 'Mate' at the end. The whole scene was fun to watch. And after watchig the SP I'm looking forward to todays one between them as well.
  18. Sorry I haven't reviewed this earlier. I've been way to lazy when it comes to reviewing lately. But I am definitely loving this fic. You write this kind of stuff brilliantly. This mystery type storylines. Chapter 1. Great way to start the story. It had me hooked from the word go. You described Mattie's panic and the girls fear really well. And the chapter certainly left me wanting to know more. Chapter 2. Loved this chapter. You'd think they'd want to keep a low profile since Belle and Mattie are meant to be in witness protection but arriving with five SUV's with tinted windows, way to attract attention. Cassie and Lucas, usually I would find this to be a shocking pairing but I liked the you wrote them in 'The Aftermath' so I can see myself liking them here again. The small scene with Belle and Mattie was lovely. Chapter 3. As for the witness protection officer, Belle and Mattie probably would have had an easier job of keeping their identity a secret if you guys didn't make such a spectacle of them when they were arriving. I liked Belle's excitement at getting to be normal again, well wanting to believe that anyway. Looks like Mattie has given up all hope on having a happy and safe life, poor thing. You can't help but feel for both of them. Wonder who that guy is? Looks like Mattie is already falling for Ric, that was quick. But I still like it. And I'm loving Belle and Mattie's friendship. Chapter 4. Ric and Mattie . Beautiful scene. Love that the dialogue was kept to a minimum because it worked better that way. So sweet. These two need to get together. Belle almost punching Aden . I like how diferent the interaction between Ric and Mattie is to Belle and Aden. Both are equally sweet just in different ways. Chapter 5. Belle and Mattie's friendship gets better with each chapter. Poor Mattie though. Cassie just doesn't when to stop, does she? Belle Had a feeling she might break soon. Hope we get more information on those guys soon. You really got me intrigued there. Chapter 6. Aww Ric, he's so sweet. As much as I love reading about Mattie's feelings for him, I loved that we got more on his feelings for her as well. You wrote that really well. Belle getting blown over by the wind , That image of that is pretty funny, and kinda cute. I'm glad Mattie let Ric in. These two are too cute. Chapter 7. Aww Ric and Mattie kissed. These two just get sweeter with every scene. The wind is really giving them hell, isn't it? Love the cheeky banter between Aden and Belle. Chapter 8. Aden is pretty sure of himself, isn't he? Loved that. I'm glad he as well is okay with this witness protection stuff, and that Belle said yes to the date. Belle is being watched, thats not good. One of the pictures looking like Belle is yelling at the police was funny. She's certainly a fiesty one here. I that like Matilda didn't regret the kiss. And Cassie . Chapter 9. Poor Cassie. I'm glad she has Lucas. Loved his reaction to finding out what happened. Loved that small scene with Belle and Aden entering and seeing Mattie and Ric, it was so simple yet very sweet. The guy sounds very creepy. Chapter 10. Aww, Belle and Matilda, acting all giggly and girlish. It's good to see them being happy for a while. Good on Rachel for taking Cassie in for a while. Love the Aden and Belle bits. I wonder who's mother it is, Belle or Mattie? Great story so far. I'm truly enjoying every moment of it. I'm glad you have used the older teens plus Aden instead of Geoff, Nicole etc. That already made me look forward to this storyline. They are always more interesting to read, easier to take seriously, and far more complex then the newer ones and I find myself able to buy them as friends with each other alot more. The quotes are really nice to read at the beginning. You're a great writer in general but you're amazing at writing this kind of stuff so I'm sure there will be some great twists and turns coming up and I'm looking forward to them.
  19. Second episode in a row that had me impressed with the way Aden and Belle are handling themselves. Aden was once again acting mature, understanding and not demanding anything from Belle. And Belle was sticking to her decision about them, saying how she felt, focusing on whats best for her recovery and making smart decisions. It was good to see Aden and Belle getting along the way they were even though they weren't together. Infact these scenes were made better by the fact that they weren't together at the time of them. I loved that they were both mentioning, at times, the things that was wrong/went wrong with their relationship. It's nice to see them adressing all of this. Aden throwing the guys camera was fun to watch. So was Belle's reaction to it. There was some nice quotes as well. (About Annie) Belle: Remind me later to strangle that one. Aden: I'll help. (Just after Aden sat down with them) Annie: Belle was just talking about you. - The look Belle gave her was absolutely funny. Belle: You're such a rebel. Aden: Hmm...you love it. - The way Belle said that line is what made it funny. Loved it. Great episode. Seeing them actually talk about stuff instead of glossing over it and jumping back into a relationship without anything being resolved is making me truly enjoy their scenes together right now. Not to mention there were a few moments in this episode that had me grinning from ear to ear. So nice to see them just be happy and enjoying being in each others company.
  20. I'm surprised, for someone who spent so much time going on about how much Nicole means to him, apart from a few episodes after the break up, he seems completely over her. I thought when this relationship ended he would be more bearable to watch but it turns out, with or without Nicole, he is still a pretty useless and irritating character that I wish would leave. Maybe they should get back together because atleast when he is with her he isn't bringing down anyone elses character since Nicole's character is pretty much as useless, irritating and replacable as his is.
  21. I really like these two. Is it okay if I use one of them?
  22. The Aden and Belle scene in yesterdays episode was really good. And such a pleasure to watch. Considering Aden's behaviour in situations where he is in the wrong recently and in general, I went in expecting him to behave the way he usually does (turning it around on her, making her feel bad or throwing a tantrum), and was pleasantly surprised by the way he handled himself. I quoted this from the episode discussion thread because tw1057 explained why I liked him in that scene really well. I especially loved how he still offerred to be for her and thanked her for hearing him out even after he realised she was not going to accept his apology just yet, instead of storming of like he usually does when things don't go his way. Belle was great to watch during that scene as well. I love how she didn't give in to him and stood her ground even though she was hurting. I stopped expecting Belle to stay strong when it comes to Aden a long time ago so that was another unexpected but welcomed moment. Reminded me a little of the old Belle there. Even though this was a sad scene the way both of them handled themselves really made me smile. I really hope the Aden and Belle we saw in this episode wasn't a one off.
  23. I'm not really liking Belle's new hair. It was okay in that one pic we saw of it but seeing it onscreen is a different story. The colour is making her look washed out. Jess is a beautiful but that hair colour isn't doing her any favours. I prefer her dark hair, it suites her better and goes with those dark eyes of hers.
  24. I'm really loving Liam. I have to say I was half expecting him to end up being your average cliched rockstar type character but I'm glad I turned out to be wrong. He is such a likeable guy, funny and a little charming as well. And the fact that he is also flawed, has alot of depth and leaves me interested and wanting to know more about him everytime he is onscreen makes him even better. I love characters like that. Ones that have so many different sides to them. And I think if they keep his personality the way it is and there is no major personality transplants along the way, just some nice character developement, then I have definitely found another favourite character to add to my list. I'm enjoying the friendship he has with Belle right now. We haven't seen much of it yet but I already buy them as friends. It doesn't feel forced and they seem like more of a natural fit, even with how different they are, then some of the friendship pairings we usually get. While I think these two do have some sort of connection, which is based on where they are in their life right now and what they are going through, I don't think that is the healthiest thing to be basing a relationship on. I can't see them working as a couple but as friends they are great.
  25. That interview was hilarious and made me smile so much. It's no wonder Aden and Belle work so well together and have so much chemistry onscreen, considering how well Todd and Jess seem to get on off-screen. The knitting jokes, especially the one from Todd at the end, really made me laugh. Axle seems to fit right in there with them as well. I really enjoyed that interview. And not to mention What are the odds that we might get a little bit of the old fiesty Belle back? I hope that it happens. I really hope whatever happens with Liam, it is just friendship. And she's just trying to help him out. Wouldn't want to see them put her in a relationship with him just for the sake of extra drama in the Aden/Belle relationship and because I see a lot of potential here for some sort of (strictly platonic) friendship/connection between Belle and Liam.
