  1. Ruby hasn't been as bad too watch recently. But I think that it might be because shes the only part of this Joey/Charlie storyline that I'm finding believable. It's good to see her playing the sister role and giving Charlie advice on handling her relationships again. It's one of the things I used to like about her, not sure I always agreed with her advice but it was still nice to watch. I have to agree with this though. While she isn't as bad as she got during the Xavier and Freya stuff and I do still like the character she really has lost her spark. And she's nowhere close to being as good of a character as she was.
  2. I have to give Rachel some credit for her advice to Aden about staying away from Belle until he can figure out want he really wants and how he feels. I'm glad someone pointed that out to him. When it comes to giving advice it's always hit and miss with her. Sometimes she can be helpful and make sense and sometimes she is completely off the mark. This was definitely one of her better moments. I also was relieved when she sent Belle to rehab. It may not have been her place, and it's no secret that Rachel at times doesn't seem to realise when to back off, but in this case I was willing to over look it because someone needed to take a stand and do something. And since the people closest to Belle where either not around and unaware of her problems, to busy struggling with their own feelings that they just couldn't deal with it, or where just letting her go on believing that she could overcome a drug addiction on her own and without professional help, it was about time someone stepped in. So I think that was a good move from Rachel.
  3. Good chapter. I liked the 'blaming' bit, especially Belle's reasoning for blaming him for something else and Belle's 'Stop trying to blame me' comment. That made me laugh. Infact there was a lot of funny moments here. The end was sweet. I'm glad that the baby is finally here. Please update soon.
  4. I've never liked Xavier's character and bringing in Brendan hasn't changed my opinion of him. Sure he is a good enough brother at certain times, but thats just one part of his character. So unless they plan on keeping him only involved in Brendan's storylines for his entire stay in Summerbay or give him a personality transplant when he's not then he is still going to the same character from before his brother showed, the one who really I despise. And even in the scenes with Brendan or anything dealing with Brendan I find it like the writers seem to be going overboard in suddenly trying to paint Xavier in a good light, be it because they might have become aware of how hated he was or because they just want to, but thats always the feeling I get when watching him since Brendan arrived.
  5. Having Martha buy the farm was a good idea. While I'm certainly not a fan of hers shes definitely been alot better to watch recently. It would be nice to see her stay single for a long while because it seems to be working for her and it might be a nice change to have a character be able to be happy on her own. As for Jodi's acting while I think she did really well with her scenes just after Jack's death I still don't find her to be a really good actress in general. The scenes were she is meant to be carefree and happy recently, while it's nice to watch, it always feels acted/forced and almost like shes trying too hard. It doesn't come of naturally. Not to mention sometimes the way Jodi acts out those happy, excited, or carefree scenes it actually makes it seem like Martha is on something.
  6. Thanks Abi and Izzy H for those Belle/Lucas avatars. I really like them. And I'll make sure to upload and credit when I decide which to use.
  7. Can anyone make some good quality Belle and Lucas avatars for me? I'd really appreciate it. Not really relationship kind ones, although I wouldn't mind them, but just from scenes of them hanging out together or just in each others company maybe in the diner and or anywhere really. And it doesn't have to be happy scenes but just not overly angsty as well. I've been trying to find some Lucas/Belle avatars with them together (but not romantically) but I can't seem to find any good ones and any at all. Unfortunately I don't have any pics though.
  8. This is the third chapter in a row that has been truly great. This fic seems to be at an incredible high right now. Aww Aden such a proud father already. I enjoyed the Belle/Aden scene at the beginning. They were definitely cute but pretty funny as well. I liked that Belle had to threaten him before he stopped and kept his hands to himself. Amanda, she just makes me smile in this fic. Loved her attempts at breaking Belle down especially these above two quotes. And trying to bribe Belle with cake, that made me laugh. Some really great interaction between Belle and Amanda once again. I love the relationship between them. Great chapter. Please update soon.
  9. Roman and Leah These two are great together. I'm almost always watching their scenes together with a smile on my face. And pairing them up has done wonders for both characters.
  10. This relationship isn't working for me. I just don't find myself believing them as a couple. They both are also dealing with their situation really badly. Charlie being confused is very realistic and I can understand why she is acting the way she is. But I would be more understanding and sympathetic towards her if it was with any other girl. Joey has been through alot in recent weeks, emotionally and physically. And then to top it off she gets kicked out of her home by her own brother because he can't handle her being gay. She needed (and still needs) some stability in her life and someone she can rely on, not someone who keeps going back and forth with her. Giving her hope and then pushing her away repeatedly. Charlie shouldn't have to feel like it's her job to make everything in Joey's life okay but she does need to make a desicion and stick with it until she can sort out her feelings and decides if shes willing to be with Joey or not. It will be better in the long run for Joey as well as her. Joey on the other hand needs to stop being so pushy with Charlie. It's understandable that she must be frustrated and wishes Charlie would just be honest with herself but forcing the issue is not the answer. Charlie needs time to come to terms with whats shes feeling and to be comfortable with the idea of it. Charlie shouldn't have to be made to feel guilty for not being able to accept these new feelings of hers immediately or horrible for not being able to give Joey what she needs. I'd be happier with this storyline if Charlie admitted she liked Joey but was firm in letting her know that nothing can happen between them (and stick with it) until she's sure shes ready for comes with it. And Joey no matter how much that hurts her would realise that this is something that Charlie needs to work out for herself and not feel pressured into making her decision. I don't think Charlie or Joey realise just what they are doing to each other but it's still making me not like this pairing very much.
  11. It's happenned. It's finally happenned. Belle and Justin in scenes together and they both rocked. This chapter was . And let the gushing begin. Aden giving Belle a pedicure, really funny. Loved Belle and Aden's playful bickering/teasing in the start. They are acting more and more like the characters I adore with each chapter. I'm loving them again. And then Justin arrives. I missed him. The first little part with Belle and Justin gave me so much hope that I might be finally changing my tune when it comes to their scenes from now on and the rest of the chapter certainly didn't dissappoint. Aden trying to hide his elation at Justin being back is cute. Nice of Belle to let them have some time on their own. "You really need to start hanging out with some guys, mate..." I have to say I was thinking the same thing in the last chapter with Mattie and Belle. Aden doesn't seem to have a guy friend to just hang out with. Maybe we need a Ric/Aden scene sometime. He's usually either going to the gym or shopping with Nicole for something for Belle (or sometimes just going to lunch with Nic). It's all he ever does when hes not with Belle, and it's just not fun. Justin's leaving again . And poor Aden. So sad how he's being all supportive even though he's upset about Justin leaving. That was a good talk they had. Made even better with all their uncertainities and fears that they were trying to keep to themselves. Now to my favourite part. The scene starting with the Justin and Belle banter about the baby and then Justin, Belle and Aden. Before it turned serious, they seemed like such a fun little threesome. I could almost imagine them being three close friends. The three of them really bounced off each other in that scene with the way they interacted with one another. It felt so natural. They were so much fun, the playful bickering between Justin and Belle, and the three of them joking around with each other. So Aden's been complaining about Belle's cooking skills to Justin, I find that very cute. And the kind of scenes I would love to see Aden having with any of the guys like Justin or Ric. The end was a bit sad. Justin telling Belle to look after Aden was sweet. And trust Justin to add a suggestive comment or two along the way. I love that he hasn't lost that side of him. The interaction between the three was awesome. I loved every moment. Their were so many brilliant oneliners in this chapter. This chapter had me smiling so much. First the amazing Belle/Mattie interaction in the last chapter, and then now some brilliant Aden/Belle, Aden/Justin, Belle/Justin and Aden/Belle/Justin goodness in this chapter. These last two chapters have been heavenly. I couldn't get enough of both. Aden ending up in the hospital has done wonders for both their (Belle and Aden) characters. They've been getting closer and closer to their old fun selves again with each chapter. And it's official they definitely have their spark back. Hope it stays. Please update soon.
  12. Oh Belle, bless her. Those hormones are really giving her hell, aren't they? Atleast she has Mattie to whine to about it. Loved that scene between them. These two are almost always awesome together. Belle is definitely at her best around Mattie. Loved the snark and witty comebacks from Belle. Aww Mattie, so easily is she distracted. First trying to see what she'll look like pregnant then by her hair. It just makes her cuter somehow. Ric walking in was really funny. Loved both Belle and Mattie having turns laughing at each others problems. Mattie got to finally feel the baby kick, I loved how excited she was about it. I don't know how shes going to manage to contain herself when the baby comes. The present was sweet and her comment about the Teddy was hilarious. Belle and Mattie's friendship is seriously amazing in this fic. Theses two work so well together in this fic. I honestly couldn't get enough of them and wanted to this chapter to go on alot longer. Please update soon.
  13. After watching older episodes I noticed that when Melody stopped going to see her pysciatrist, apart from one or two mentions from Miles it was just forgotten. It seems like just another moment where Miles really dropped the ball when it came to her looking after her. I'm not sure whether he could have made her go, being her legal gaurdian, but I would have expected to see him put more effort in trying to convince her it's what she needs. I'm not sure if Geoff knew she stopped seeing her doctor, but since the teenagers seemed to know more about her life then Miles at times I'm going to assume he did as well. And considering just a month or so before, Melody was practically begging her mother to get her medical help I'm surprised they were willing to just let this go without putting up much of fight. With the people she ended up with to look after her, the girl really didn't stand a chance.
  14. These two are the kind of characters who I don't want to leave yet I'm not a fan. Losing Amy (and Jon as well) would be a big loss to the show. And Tony and Rachel do have the potential to be a good couple for me. Their scenes just need to be written in a better way. I used to be a big fan of this couple for a while in the beginning. But then they came to a point where just seemed to suck the life out of each other in every scene they were in together, except when they are happy. I go back and forth between liking and downright despising Rachel so much. And I think the problem is, not the material she's given (most of the time anyway) but the writing of the scenes. While she is naturally patronising for most part, I find that believable from someone like her, it seems like even when she is being genuine the lines they give her seems to still make her come of in that way. And instead of coming of as the kind, calm and supportive type Tony usually ends up seeming like Rachel's little lapdog who'll take anything she'll dishes out because he doesn't want to risk losing her. Hell, it took him grieving for Jack and being in a bad way before he even found the guts to snap at her even once. This baby storyline could be exactly what this pairing needs right now. Because this is one couple, that even though I don't like them, when I see them happy with each other it tends to make me smile a bit. We also need a mature stable couple on this show and one that isn't the usual type, really old, teens or 20/30 somethings who behave like teenagers when it comes to relationships. Till the baby is born I'd like just see them focusing on that and not any other drama. All Rachel's mood swings and hormones due to the pregnancy could be fun to watch. Although the writers don't seem to realise that a couple can have small arguments every once in while that doesn't end up threatening the relationship and turning into a whole big issue, hopefully they will here. Because throwing in some nice bickering between all the happiness every once in a while would be just as much fun to watch, help keep things fresh and it won't be all that surprising with Rachel's mood swings. I think I might go back to liking them if this is what we got till the baby arrives. But I know better then to think it will happen.
  15. I liked this part. The image of Aden stomping away offended is amusing. Another nice chapter. While it still wasn't completely there yet they did feel little more "younger" in this chapter compared to the last one. There was some nice banter and sweet moments as well. I liked Belle trying to bring up the 'what if something happens' conversation and Aden not wanting to think about it. I found it interesting and it's very believeable that this would be playing on her mind considering what they just went through. Nice work there. It was definitely my favourite part. I had a huge smile on my face when reading this sentence. All my favourite supporting characters in this fic coming soon. I can't wait. Please update soon.
  16. I do wish that one day the writers will realise this. They really haven't ever been able to go more then a few episodes being happy with each other without some sort of drama, have they? I must say though that I find the drama that they deal with so much more appealing then the usual stuff the writers come up with for couples. I'd love to see them just get to be happy together for a while. Although if it does happen, and while they may need a break from big storylines, I hope it doesn't mean that they'll end up stuck in the background like it used to be with Dan and Leah.
  17. That was a nice way to have them spend her birthday. They did seem to settle back into their old married couple ways but it somewhat fitted with this chapter. Hope it isn't permanant though. Drew's call in the beginning was definitely the best part for me. I really liked the conversation between him and Belle. Even the most uneventful and normal of conversations are fun when it comes to these two in this fic. "You have no idea just how much fun..." He really walked into that one. Loved that line as well as Drew's reaction to it. Please update soon.
  18. Being selfish, deceptive, mean, and an out an out liar as become second nature to Belle in the last few weeks. I hate what she is doing to herself and the way she is treating the people around her who care for her. It's down right frustrating at times to watch. But thats what makes this storyline even more gripping, for me. This kind of behaviour is what is expected for someone with a drug problem. And the fact that it's happening to a main character and one that you wouldn't normally think would go down this road, makes it even more appealing. The proper build up over a long time made it all the more believeable and enjoyable then having it shoved down our throats from the beginning. To think this all started with the developement site. It's not hard to understand why Belle can't seem to bring herself to confess. Theres been times where we have seen that she wants to. And that she realises what she's doing and doesn't like herself for it. Aden doesn't deserved to be lied to but then again noone deserves that. But at the same time Belle doesn't deserve what she's going through as well. She never became this way because she woke up one day and thought 'drugs are cool, I wanna do that'. She was sufferring, sufferring that was brought upon her when she was busy trying to shed light on something that was making people sick and killing them, and it ended up taking her down a horrible road. She's not completely blameless in it and she made her own choices but I find I can sympathise with her because I can understand what led to it. The idea and popular opinion that Aden derserves better then her because of her issues(and because for once she couldn't handle it and life got the better of her) just makes me sympatise with Belle all the more for not being able to bring herself to come clean. I'm guessing that opinion is similiar to her own thought process at the moment.
  19. I liked their scenes in the last episode. It wasn't a happy episode for them by any means but I'm glad we are getting some kind of sweet interaction between them before everything comes out in the open. Although knowing whats coming makes it hard not to feel sad for them in these scenes. The necklace was a nice gesture. I liked it because it wasn't so much about the actual gift, even if he was nervous about whether she'd like it or not, but rather just doing something nice for her because she as been down recently. The fact that he knew what her favourite champagne was and thought to specifically ask for it even if it was abit embraasing made me smile. When Nicole refferred to them getting each other, I'm pretty sure thats what brought on that comment, her smile after he asked for it gave that away. While he may want to spoil her by spending lots of money on something flashy, he still knows her enough to know these little details about her like what she likes. And he is crazy about her. They get back together and then nothing for a long while about how they feel about each other. Then in the matter of weeks we get an 'I love you' and an 'I'm crazy about you'. Listening to them say these things to each other as well as Aden who seems to trust her completely and looks so devoted to the idea of always wanting to take care of her and is convinced that nothing will change that is just so sad considering whats coming. As much as it's going to be heartbreaking I still can't wait for those scenes though.
  20. Apart from the Annie bits in the last two chapters I can't say I'm feeling this story much anymore. I liked Annie not reacting very positively to Tam only to realise that she's not the enemy. And then in this chapter sticking up for her. Geoff and Melody's talk was good. Geoff's realising that he doesn't feel exactly the same way he did with Nicole was good as well. I may not like Nic/Geoff but I could see that happening. The rest just left me cold, even Tam which is surprising. As for Aden, he seems to be contradicting himself in the last few chapters when it come to his reaction to the Geoff/Tam/Nic stuff. Also I feel like one minute he is being written like he is now on the show and then a while later he is being written like some watered down version of his old self. The scene in the diner with Geoff definitely the latter. This fic had potential. But I honestly I can't seem to get into it anymore. The last two chapters just didn't do anything for me. It was good while it lasted though. And there was a positive, I managed to get through reading about Geoff/Nic without too much eye rolling. I guess the presence of Tam helped with that but still.
  21. The last two chapters have been really sweet. I loved all the fluff. Aden's surprise for Belle was perfect. I forgot how good he used to be, in this fic, when it came to spoiling her. It was nice to see them relax for a while and just be happy with each other. After the stress they've had to deal with lately they definitely needed some downtime. Belle's being a bit snappy with him at times is still amusing. I really enjoyed the last two chapters. Please update soon.
  22. This was a brilliant one shot. I was pretty dissappointed in Aden but that said it was actually very realistic. I had a feeling it would go down like this. Aden's first instinct in their relationship is to always put how everything effects him above anything else. That sounds more mean then I meant it to. It's just how he is. He reacts first and only after some time does he realise how his actions affect her. Questioning her love for him because she wasn't able to say she chose him over the drugs at the moment, and if she loves him more then she should be able to give the drugs like that is quite a naive reaction considering his past with dealing with an addict. But at the same time I felt for him there and him wanting to believe it's as simple as that. Didn't like that comment about him leaving and not coming back before the drug confession. Feels so like the part of him I don't like. She is being different then the perfect girlfriend so instead of refusing to give up and doing what it takes to get to the bottom of whats going on because their relationship is to important he starts making ultimatums. Atleast it's better then on the show where he usually storms out after throwing a tantrum. All the lies and secrecy were bound to backfire on her at sometime. She as really dug herself into a deep hole. She's become so unlike herself thats it's heartbreaking. I loved Belle throwing the line about him being to busy helping everybody else. It's very true. He seems to have time to talk to everyone and hear them out about but when it comes to noticing her hes blind. His reply to her comment was interesting as well. I feel she shouldn't have to ask for help. Not when the fact that she is suffering should be so obvious from someone who once said he can always tell when theres something wrong with her. Belle giving in and trying to beg him to stay felt so realistic. Including Irene in it was a good move. Loved that bit. Belle's worry about Irene's reaction to it was incredibly sad. All in all I loved how you did this. It stayed true to the characters on the show. Unfortunately this situation didn't bring out the best qualities in Aden but thats exactly how I would expect it to be. Anything else would have felt unrealistic. It's of those situations where I'll hope we get to see him react differently but know it's not going to happen. This was definitely a pleasure to read.
  23. I think that was probably more of a reaction to what he's experienced himself - although I've never been in such a position, I would imagine that had you been a victim of abuse it would be the case that your impulse to help other victims would be stronger, despite not necesarily knowing them all that well. Yeah, his reaction to her being raped is very realistic. And I like how that is playing out. I was reffering more to the way he was with her from the moment they started interacting. Aden already seemed to get immediately involved from the word go and before we saw any proof that Robbo was anything more then just a sexist pig. I just felt it would have been better if we saw some build up to it. Maybe have Aden and Joey have a few scenes together first and get to know each other. And then have him slowly notice Robbo's behaviour.
  24. I liked this because it made the scene between them in the last chapter seem less ridiculous, I found that scene between them to be quite laughable. For Aden to question her respect for him or even be bothered in the slightest by Belle not filling him in on the fact that Geoff was spending an evening with a friend is pretty unrealistic. This chapter helped that. Aden's 'over something that wasn't even important' comment made it like his reaction wasn't about caring about the Tam/Geoff situation but rather his own one with Belle. I liked his thoughts on their relationship. It's very true. It's good that Aden seems to realise how he behaves when it comes to their relationship. I hope this realisation of his leads somewhere. Hopefully Belle won't apologise and if she does then he snaps at her and lets all this out, I could see this happening. I'm sure he'd rather have a fiesty girlfriend who keeps him on his toes rather then one who acts like shes helpless around him. The Geoff/Mel scene, in the last chapter, was good. I loved how she seemed more annoyed then anything at him blaming her. Looks like his opinion doesn't mean much to her anymore. Love that. The Aden/Geoff scene from that chapter was good as well. I enjoyed Rachel and Tam's talk. Rachel made a good point about how Geoff is going to feel about her now after she ruined his relationship.
  25. Is it me or does it seem like Lincoln doesn't put any effort into portraying Geoff anymore? It started along time ago but now it happens in almost every scene he is in. His expressions and the way he carries himself, I feel like I'm watching Lincoln onscreen 90% of the time rather than Geoff. Sometimes it's there and you can look past it but there are times when it stands out so clearly that it's hard not focus on it. It's like the actor doesn't bother with staying in character anymore. One of the many examples was the scene were the winners of the school election was announced. When Miles announced that Melody made the council, Geoff's reaction felt so unlike him and more like every picture we've seen of Lincoln when he's happy or smiling. The way he winked, stuck his tongue out a bit, and smiled with his mouth wide open. We've seen Geoff laugh and smile plenty of times since he arrived and that wasn't it. I don't get how the writers haven't noticed this. Even Geoff's dress sense since has been forgotten. I can see them purposely getting rid of all his check shirts but whats with the school uniform. Geoff's meant to be this respectable and staright laced kind of guy so I don't buy him coming to school with his pants pulled down as slow as it usually is and his shirt practically pulled all the way out. Usually I would excuse this has the charcter becoming more layed back and calm but thats not the impression I'm getting from his scenes. I don't get the feeling that these things are done on purpose but rather crappy attention to important details from the actor and the writers/director/producers or whoever is incharge of making sure the scenes play out right.
