  1. Another two great chapters. Loved this one. Absolutely funny. I don't even find it hard to believe that Angelo would have him checked for dust. I hate that they want to fire everyone. Can understand why though. I hope Belle finds a way to stop them. But considering you mentioned that the sequel will not take place in the newsroom I gonna guess she doesn't. I'm glad Aden's back. He was as funny as always. I like how just a little while ago he was telling her he loved her and now he's acting like he doesn't care and joking around. Angelo and his attempts to turn Geoff into a rockstar is still hilarious. Mel's leaving next chapter. Please update soon.
  2. The last two chapters were awesome. I loved them. The proposal was perfect. I loved the banter between them. For the first time in long while they seemed like themselves rather then a old married couple. Belle went back to being her amazing self here. Whether it ends up being shortlived I don't care I'm just glad I got to enjoy reading about her again and that she seemed to have her spark back. This is the Belle I loved reading about. She was awesome in this chapter. All her lines, especially the constant interruptions while Aden was trying to propose and how he is corny sometimes, was brilliant. Aden's speech was lovely. He was amazing in this chapter as well. I also loved him going on about the cold as well. And him trying to get her to keep quite. I really smiled my way through this chapter. It had the right amount of sweetness, teasing, and playfulness. This is definitely one of my favourites. The chapter before the proposal one was really good as well. Nicole's presence was actually welcomed for a change. Not because I enjoyed her but because it felt like Justin got his spark back as well in those scenes. I loved how he stood his ground and refused to feel guilty or apologise. Because he really didn't owe her anything seeing has he had no clue who Nat was. I just loved him in this chapter. Aden impressed me has well. I'm glad he didn't insist Justin apologise or anything out of some sort of annoying loyalty to his so called 'sister', which is what I thought would happen. I like how he wasn't bothered about Nicole's whining or the whole situation. I honestly didn't expect him to react that way, so that was a welcomed surprised. I could just imagine if it was Belle(the one from before the proposal chapter) in Aden's place how she would be rolling her eyes at Justin, acting all superior, and demanding he apologised. Ever since Aden and Justin made up their relationship hasn't exactly impressed me. The dynamic between them seemed to have changed once they started getting along. For some reason, in this chapter, I found myself loving them together even though there wasn't much. They felt more like equals here. I like the idea of Justin being the older but more carefree and playful brother and Aden being the more mature but fun younger brother rather then Aden seeming overly mature and treating Justin like a joke. So their small scenes in this chapter made me enjoy watching them together. Especially the one with Nicole explaining what Justin did and Aden's reaction to it. I wasn't expecting that ending. But it makes for some nice drama. I hope Aden is okay. In this last two chapters you managed to make Justin go back to being as awesome as he was when he first arrived, made Belle be her old funny self and a pleasure to read about again, and Aden more Aden-like. I love it. Hope it stays this way for a while at least. Please update soon.
  3. She left in the middle of June and came back at the end of August. Don't know the specific dates though.
  4. I'm glad that everything has been resolved between them. It makes me feel better about Roman now too. I hope this means he'll stop being so obsessed with protecting her and go back to just being her good friend for now. I can't stay irritated at Roman for any of his actions though. His actions did make me extremely worried about whether the writers were going to change/ruin his character for the sake of the storyline (something they seem to love doing very often to the characters) but I'm glad that wasn't the case here. It was just Roman getting carried away and letting his feelings for Martha cloud his judgement for a while there. It's understandable though. This storyline was one of those rare times were I felt for everyone involved. Glad it's over though. I hope we get to see lots more of their friendship in the future. But I don't think I want a relationship between them anymore. I don't know, all this stuff lately has just put me off wanting them together. I'll probably end up changing my mind down the line but for now I'm good with just friendship between them.
  5. Having Aden, Belle, Ric, Drew, Mattie, a funny mention of Justin, and some Amanda in one chapter was definitely a good idea. There was some really good Drew/Belle interaction. They have a nice brother/sister thing going on. I loved the part about Belle assuming someone put him up to visiting. And trying to figure out who it was. "Like I would do anything he said". Love that line. Such a Drew thing to say in this fic. Amanda seems to get very excited when it comes to planning things. I like it. She's funny when she gets like that. And Belle is always funny when she's trying to stop Amanda from going overboard. So I liked that scene. It gave me a Belle/Amanda scene and a scene were Belle was funny again. I liked the mention of Justin's date. That was funny. Mattie, Ric, Drew, and Belle hanging out together really made me miss the old teen group on the show. It's good to see them just being friends. Aden and Belle's conversation was nice as well. Please update soon.
  6. I loved the last two chapters. The beginning of Belle's dream was hilarious. And then came the 'I love you' part. Poor Belle. Loved this line. Angelo wanting to turn Geoff into a Rockstar was really funny. Also Melody and Belle's behaviour around Geoff. Hope Aden doesn't leave. It's so sad that he didn't want to talk to her. Please update soon.
  7. I've gotten behind on my reviewing once again. Sometimes I'm just way to lazy. Anyway the last three chapters have been quite good. I'm liking Justin's scenes with Aden. Good to see them spending time with each other. The talk about the money was really good. I'm glad that Justin seems determined to stand on his own two feet and rather Aden kept the money for his future. Kinda sweet of him. Mattie making an appearance is always a great thing. The girl never dissappoints when it comes to being extremely entertaining. I only wish she was written like this on the show. Her excitement over everything is really cute. Also loved her wanting to throw a brick at Justin. Violent Mattie is just as good. If it wasn't for Ric I would be totally shipping Justin/Mattie. Belle's scene with Justin still did nothing for me. And I had no clue why. I mean she was trying to be funny, and she was being nice enough but there was still something about her that I didn't like. But then I realised why(while watching an older episode yesterday), she seems to have developed some Rachel-like qualities. Thats what it is. She's very patronizing when she talks to him. And I don't think it's her intention but thats how she comes of. She talks to him like he is a child and not in funny way but an annoying way. But there was something that made me laugh in their scene together. When he said he always knew she was fiesty. Seriously, when has she ever been fiesty around him. It's was always(in the beginning) self righteous, arrogant, rude, demanding, and irritating (when she was "trying to protect Aden" ) or on her good days stuck up, uptight, and a pain(before their last scene together). I think Belle as officially lost her spark somewhere in this story. Even when she's being funny and lighthearted I still feel bored with her. Right now she still manages to be fun when around Mattie(trying to handle Mattie's excitement), and certain scenes with Aden are still really good. But those scenes were she manages to actually keep my interest are slowly getting to be few and far between. Justin as well seems to have lost his spark. Which is sad. What happened to the Justin we first saw? And during certain times afterwards. He was a big flirt but was still smart, determined, stood up for himself, and didn't need anyones approval(least of all Belle's). Even when he was trying to get Aden to talk to him he was still himself. But in that scene with Belle it seemed like he wanted her approval way too much. I know she's Aden's wife but still. He doesn't seem to have much respect for himself around her anymore as well, like in that first scene. He was a huge flirt, carefree, and fun but also a determined and strongwilled guy. Now he just seems like a joke to be honest. And he lets Belle(and even Aden sometimes) treat and talk to him like he is nothing but a joke. And they do, especially Belle. I prefered how he used to be. Aden and Belle have become like an old married couple. Well they don't act like one but they just feel like one. Okay I'm not even sure if that made sense. But in my head it did. They aren't as exciting anymore. I prefer Aden/Justin and Belle/Mattie scenes over Aden/Belle scenes right now. Drew and Amanda need to make appearance. They'll add some much needed excitement. But I guess after two sequels and 100+ chapters altogether it's hard to keep the main characters fresh and exciting. But you're still doing a good enough job. And the storylines are still good. Just the characters(Aden and Belle mostly) seem abit dull and I'm finding them to be far less exciting to read about right now. And this is probably the part where you are wishing I had just chose not to review at all. But even if I am not feeling very enthuisiastic about the characters at the moment I still find you to be an awesome writer(I would hope you know that by now). The writing in each chapter are far better then most on this site. It's just the main characters aren't holding my interest much at the moment. But knowing me that will probably change in no time. I'm been constantly changing my opinions on the characters throughout your fics. Please update soon.
  8. Well said. About Belle's reaction to Drew not wanting to finish school and go to uni compared to Aden, I think the different reactions from Belle is quite realistic. Drew and Aden's reasoning are extremely different. Drew just could care less about making something of his life, he was always looking for the easy way out, he had no drive, and he was the very defintion of a quitter. And that(not going to uni and finishing school) was just yet another time he was doing that. And I think thats what most of Belle's anger was about. She finally had enough of him doing that. Aden's reasons are because he feels that she needs him. And whether she wants to admit it or not she does. She probably hates that she needs him this much(nobody likes feeling like they are a burden on the ones they love), but she does. But more importantly Belle's emotional state was quite different in each of these times. Back then she was her fiesty self, now she's suffering from PTSD. I'm happy with the way the writers are doing this storyline so far.
  9. It was good to see Aden and Belle being lighthearted and relaxed around each other, even if it was for only a little while. It's nice that they are showing scenes like this inbetween the heavy stuff. Still don't like them being around Geoff and Nicole, but in this scenes seeing Aden and Belle have a moment of happiness(even if it was shortlived) made seeing Geoff/Nicole worth it.
  10. ^ What makes this even worse for me is that Melody finally seems like she is on her way to getting better. And excepting Miles help. I was looking forward to seeing her rebuild her life slowly. Nicole and Geoff are a joke. Jai and Annie have the potential to be sweet but are just annoying and pointless. Xavier is just horrible. And Ruby, who used to be the only other teen apart from Mel I loved, is now just painful to watch.
  11. I know. It's so sad. Ever since I read that I have been dreading the episode when The girl deserves it after everything she has had to deal with.
  12. Loved this two parts as well as basically every other thing written in this chapter. Wow! This chapter was brilliant. It was hilarious from the beginning to the end. Looks like Belle is definitely not coping with the break up well. Love the little notes she left about Melody's work. Poor Geoff having to deal with the choas. It was just so damn funny. Between Melody wanting to quit(I'm so making the most of her scenes now), and the girl who's boyfriend dumped her, the typewriter guys, and Annie, I'm surprised Geoff didn't start screaming at them. For someone who hates Geoff with a passion on the show, I can't help but love this Geoff. Good to see Angelo hasn't lost this side of him. Should have known he'd be back to his wacky self in no time. That part in the end with him and Geoff was awesome. Especially Angelo's reaction to Drew. Please update soon.
  13. Lovely chapter. It's good to see them just being happy around one another. While I loved just getting full Adelle in one chapter I love your guest characters too. Your Justin, Amanda, Matilda, Drew(I'm still getting over how you managed to make me love a character that I utterly despised on the show), and Roman are awesome here. So any of them making an appearance is brilliant. Pregnant Belle was hilarious once again. I agree with Belle, Aden should have known better then to think she'd go a day without her chocolate. Considering all the angst lately, it's sweet that now Aden's biggest challenge is to keep his wife away from chocolate. Loved them trying to cook. It's sweet to see them do these everyday stuff. Cute as well. The rainbow thing that Belle bought was so sweet . I liked it. Please update soon.
  14. Some nice Aden/Belle scenes in the last two chapters. Love the one in the taxi. I have to admit the parts about the story they were working on confused me a bit. I had no idea what was going on in those parts. I tend to get easily confused at times. But even if I had no idea what was going it was still funny to read. Especially the part with whole three of them showing up using the same name. I felt sorry for Aden in that last part. But what was he really expecting? I mean this is the girl who took forever to be akay with everyone knowing they were a couple. And even longer to admit she actually liked him. But I felt sorry for him anyaway.
  15. I absolutely loved this chapter. I missed Mattie as well. Loved her death threat. She's just so awesome in this fic. The way she talked about Justin's flirting was hilarious, especially her wanting to strangle him. Also that nickname. The girl is too funny. I'm glad she's not going to Perth. Maybe this way we'll get to see scenes with her more often. Aden bringing Justin to their house was sweet. I'm glad they seem to be moving forward. That part with the photos was really good. As well as Justin's wisecracks. I loved Belle's cravings. Especially about how the sticky red thing was trying to be a cake but failing horribly . Pregnant Belle, when she wants her chocolate, is hilarious. And I don't find it OOC at all, with her being all hormonal because of the pregnancy. Yeah, it definitely wouldn't have been a good idea to have her act like this when they were having problems, but now it's definitely welcomed. While I wasn't a fan of Amanda's first run in with Justin, I loved her when she was explaining it to Belle. That scene was so Amanda. I also absolutely loved Matilda explaining her run in with Justin to Belle. Their irritation at him for not being able to back off is hilarious. It's amusing to read. I love that they just want to strangle him at times. But Belle around Justin still doesn't do anything for me. I like that she's warmed to him. And is willing to put up with him. While I'll still always believe he deserves a big apology from her(especially since you'd think she'd understand running away from home because you can't take living there aymore), I think she's come along with the way she treats him. But she was much more funnier when she was listening to Amanda and Matilda about him. But, like here, around him herself she always comes of as an old grandmother. Like he's a child she only puts up with because she has to. I don't expect them to be friends. But why can't she express her exasperation at his flirting with her and her friends and family in a more witty and amusing way. I quite like the way everyone tends to treat him like a pain sometimes because he tends to act that way, but I love how they are always funny about it. Belle, when around him, just isn't. I think she has forgotten about the funny and fiesty girl who she once was, the one who didn't care about the fact that the guy she wanted was taken. Atleast he just flirts, and not goes around scheming and trying to break up all these relationships like she once did. I know she's changed and growup since then, but that took alot of time and finding something better. She ever consider that maybe he just hasn't found anything worthwhile to change his ways over. And for god sakes he's just an hopeless flirt, big deal. This attitude around him(not so much her words, but that too, but her expressions and thoughts), in the tiny part she was around him here(but at other times she's around him too), isn't fiesty, cute, funny, or whatever it's supposed to be, she's acting like she as a stick up her a**. If I was Justin and that was my first meeting with her in a calm enviroment (without the accusations and arguing), lets just say I'd starting questioning my brothers taste in woman. Exasperation and frustration at Justin is fun to read. So try being funny Belle. But since I loved Belle for most part of this chapter. Okay well every single part when she wasn't around Justin, I can't be too mad at her. Doesn't stop me from ranting though, but I can't bring myself to dislike her or anything right now. Her scenes with Aden and Mattie were too awesome for me to hold a grudge about her, once again annoying, behaviour around Justin. Please update soon.
  16. This was a really good chapter. It was nice to see them just spend the day being happy together. My favourite part had to be Belle and the ice-cream. I loved how she didn't want to share, also the way she held it closer to herself that one time. The girl really gets serious when it comes to her chocolate ice-cream. Also the way she took the shirt from him. That was funny. And well the racy fluff is always a good thing. Nice chapter.
  17. What is wrong with the writers? Why are they doing this to Roman's character? Are we meant to hate him, or do they actually think having him behave in this way is somehow a good thing? This is not him. I'm already hating the way he's been acting lately, when it comes to Martha, and by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like he is any better in today's episode.
  18. While I am definitely not sad to see Jack Holden gone forever, I am surprised that the aftermath of his death was actually one of the most interesting parts of the show, for me, when it came back. Martha isn't has good as she was in those episodes back, at the moment, but it's something. I'm liking Tony and Martha so much more now. While, after years of hating her, towards the end of last year I finally warmed to Martha but still didn't care for her half as much as I do now. Same with Tony, I didn't really like him but since Jack's death I'm always looking forward to his scenes. Not to mention that it also gave Charlie a reason to stop acting like Angelo's personal cheerleader. Which as done wonders for her character. And it helped in making Angelo into something more then just the guy who turns into a despicable excuse of a man when he gets his feelings hurt. So not only did Jack dying meant finally getting rid of one of the most pointless and dull characters on the show but it also served to make some the other characters ten times more interesting to watch. So he finally did do something worth while, figures he would have to die first though.
  19. I'm starting to rethink wanting these two together in the future. I think it's time that I start remembering them for being one of Martha's better relationships in the past and leave it at that. When we found out there was going to be a storyline with Roman still in love with her while she was with Jack, I hated it because I had felt nothing good could come of it for his character and it was going to ruin a perfectly good friendship. Then when rumors of Jack dying came about I began to think that maybe there would be hope for them way down the line. But I'm starting to think that pairing them up together in the future might not be the best thing for both of their characters, especially Roman. One of the main reasons I liked Martha's relationship with Roman was because he didn't turn into a spineless idiot around her. He had strong feelings for her but he was still his own person. He also had alot of respect not only for her but for himself. And he was the kind of mature, reasonable, and understanding kind of man Martha needed in her life. All these personality traits put him above Jack in so many ways for me. But the way the are potraying him when it comes to Martha right now is just not the man who dated her last year, and who was a very good friend to her since their relationship ended. This one is a love sick puppy who doesn't want to do anything but sit around and try to fix all her problems. And someone who takes off at people who is trying their best to help her as well. This isn't showing support(maybe in his mind it is) this something else all together and I don't like it. I get the idea of wanting to be there for a friend in need but does he need to spend the night there. Does he have to be by her side at every moment? Considering his feelings for her wouldn't the smart thing be, to try and show support but also try and keep some distance? It's like he's taken it upon himself to be protector. And it's making him act very irrational. This is not the character I love. And if they are going turn him into another Jack when he used to be around Martha (before the last few months, they became alright then) then I'd rather they never have them together in the future.
  20. What are they doing to Ruby? Is ruining Roman by writing him completely out of character lately not enough for them? After what little we saw of Ruby and Xavier last year I already didn't like her around him but I hoped that they'd somehow try and change the way she behaved around him this year. But I guess they aren't going to. And the comments on today's episode leaves me thinking that she's going to be even worse here. I think Xavier was the worse thing that has happened to her character. A fiesty girl who's willing to go after what she wants is one thing, but around Xavier, Ruby just comes of as clingy and desperate. Which doesn't feel like the girl we got to know before he arrived. I'm not sure what the writers are going for with their scenes. Are we supposd to like the way she acts around him?
  21. Their scenes in yesterdays episode was lovely. I really enjoyed it. I'm actually finding these short scenes to be so much better written then the scenes between them for the last few months of last year. They are simple but still great. I never thought that Aden or Belle ever got too much screentime in the last few months of last year, but the writing wasn't as good in those months. I think the writers dropped the ball with them in the months leading up to finale last year, ever since the OC actually. They were being written like any other couple, unlike in the beginning when the scenes always seemed unique and special. I still loved them, but they had lost some of the spark they had before the OC. But now after their scenes together in the last three episodes I am finding myself loving the way the interaction between them is being written here. I'm sure their storyline will pick up soon, but for now I'm good with the way things are just slowly building it up, and also with the way they are letting some of the other characters take centre stage.
  22. I truly enjoyed that last chapter. Belle and Aden seem to be on their way to getting back to normal. Thats good. I'm glad it took them this long, rather then getting over everything quickly. It makes these scenes, like in this chapter, between them so much more sweeter. So sweet that I couldn't help but smile while reading it. I loved her letting him know she was proud of him, as well as him letting her know how much she's helped him. Aden and Justin's talk was really good. Justin really can't help himself around girls, can he? It was really funny the way he explained himself about flirting with married, or taken woman. He may be a sleaze but for some reason I think it works for him. Makes me like him more. Which is weird since I hate sleazy guys. I guess you just manage to write him in those scenes so funnily that I can't help but find it cute. I loved how more relaxed Aden seemed around him this time. And the way they were able to be lighthearted around each other for a while. But I'm glad you had them talk about the serious stuff as well. I loved the way Justin explained why he didn't regret not taking Aden with him. As well as Aden really wishing he could hate Justin because it would makes things easier. It was a good talk. Belle's text was awesome. I love when fics include all the mood swings and cravings that comes with pregnancy. Alot of fics I read, elsewhere, include those scenes. And it's always some of the funniest scenes.
  23. I like that they are keeping the Belle and Aden scenes to a minimum for the first weeks back, not because I'm tired of them, but because with this Angelo, Martha, Tony, Charlie, Alf, and Bridgett stuff going on it would be too much. And we are getting to see everything slowly build up with Belle slowly getting worse in the few scenes she's in. It will make the storyline better when it eventually picks up soon. I liked their scenes together last week. It was simple and short, but still sweet. And Jessica's comment in the article about Belle realising she has become too dependant on Aden makes me feel good as well. Seeing her trying to be more independant would be nice. About Aden putting off going to uni, if he was doing it because he realised that maybe it isn't for him then thats fine, but I'm not sure I like him putting it off to look after Belle. What's he going to do when Belle is better? But on the other hand I can understand him feeling this way. When people you care about is sick and they need you, you are hardly going to be thinking clearly about it's going to effect your future if they were to get better. All that matters is being there for them.
  24. No offense taken at all. I honestly don't mind reading a different point of view when theres valid reasons for it. And while I don't agree with your opinion on this topic, I can understand your reasoning for seeing things in this way. So it's all good. About Nicole, my point was that Aden was having a nervous breakdown. When Belle let him know that Nicole and Geoff were okay, I'm sure she didn't give him a play by play of the events. And even if she did, with the emotional state he was in it's hardly surprising that he wasn't able to focus on that. Yes she went through all that, and thinking her dad was dead did seem to take it's toll on her. But for most part on the island, apart from the perfectly timed coughing fits, and just as the helicopter came, she didn't seem all that shaken up about the events that just happened. Infact if you didn't know what had happened, there were times when you would have thought they were just two teens vacationing on a tropical island. I'm not saying that it wasn't hard for Nicole, at certain moments there especially when she was worried about Roman, but I do find it hard to compare that to Aden's emotional state, after he found out that his father knowingly left him in the care of a child rapist. It's not a competeition of who had the most things done to them that day, but who was left more effected emotionally. And considering Aden needed psyciatric help before he could see sense, and by the next time we saw Nicole she was over it and wondering about her relationship Geoff, that says alot as well. So I hardly think Nicole would have had right to be upset that Aden didn't make time to worry about her during all he was going through at that moment in the shed. But I think it's best to just agree to disagree. Since I don't think we are going to see things differently anytime soon. About doola's comment I'm guessing it's because with Melody going away for a while, they needed to find something else for Nicole to do, now that they won't be able to keep slipping Nicole into the Melody storyline.
  25. He didn't abuse her again. When he was insulting her it was before she told him about her feelings. So really being thought so less off, and insulted really didn't put her of wanting to be with him. He tried to kiss her(although what other reaction was she expecting when she decided to express her feelings to a guy who was drunk), she shoved him off, called him disgusting, then he said she's disgusting(which was basically more of a childish remark because of his drunkness than a proper hitting remark), then stumbled away, while she sat there. She didn't have enough and storm off. She just didn't want anything to happen if he was drunk, and for that I can give her some credit. But the way she goes about things needs to count for something. Sometimes the person care alot about someone and have good intentions but the way they go about handling these situations can cause alot of damage. Also her actions earlier on didn't get me thinking she could handle his issues. Her first action was to stick it to Belle, rather check on him. And twice, in that ep, she expressed her concern in a quite insensitive way. It doesn't give me much reason to believe she was mature enough to take on the issues that came with dating Aden. I accidently deleted the first part of this above comment about how the storyline would have been different had Aden been with Nicole. I honestly don't think this abuse storyline, and how he dealt with it, would have been written based on which character he was paired up with. There were alot of key moments that writers needed to happen with Aden's storyline, and it would played out the same way no matter who was with him. From what we have seen, Belle has always felt like her parents didn't like her, and when she finally finds her real mother, she gets betrayed by her. Infact Belle also once got kicked out of her home by Amanda, and for a while Belle was lead to believe it happened because of drinking problem. I think that would make her more likely to understand Aden and fathers drinking, well not really, but much more then Nicole could if we were going by this kind of reasoning. As for unwanted advances, it may not have been a family member, but Dom tried to force himself on her in the gym once, as well going as far as to drug her in order to do so at his house. Way worse then Nicole, and yet even now I don't think this would have been enough for Belle to truly comprehend what Aden went through. Also we found out earlier on that Bellle was really vulnerable and insecure, yet covered it up with all her attitude back then. So basically theres nothing that makes what Nicole went through special enough to have helped Aden's recovery any more then others could. Nicole's reaction was actually worse. Belle, while hurt, was willing to realise that theres a bigger issue going on. And she wasn't about let him hide behind it. Only when he made it clear he wasn't willing admit it did she move on. In the ep where he confessed, she didn't give in to his apologies quickly. I remember the scene in the dinner, when she stood her ground and didn't give in, until he was ready to explain his actions. Because this time sorry wasn't going to cut it. Nicole on the other chose to respond by throwing him being kicked out by his father in his face. She felt embrassed, hurt, or whatever, and chose to respond by make him feel bad. Yes she has right to be upset, but the thing is that Nicole's reaction, back then, to being hurt was always to turn around and make the person she felt responsible feel terrible about themselves. Back then, she did it to Melody quite few times, insulted Charlie most of the time for no reason, and treated Roman like crap for along time. And I don't feel a person who deals with her emotions that way would be good for Aden's recovery. Exactly after she matured. Which came after the OC. By then Aden's issues had reached breaking point. And since she only matured then thats further prove that she wasn't in any place to handle Aden's issues before, which was when everything was really happening. Before then I also remember the way she jumped to wanting to talk about Elliot after Roman had just told her about Martha's cancer. She reasoned by saying it's because he didn't want to talk about it, but the mature thing to do would be sit quietly and be supportive, not hound a man whose dealing with the fact that his closest friend as cancer with questions about some guy. He made it clear that he didn't want to talk about both earlier. So if she changed the subject because she knew he didn't want to talk about Martha, and just wanted to make general conversation, what gave her the idea that he'd be up to talking about Elliot, who he didn't want to about just as much as Martha. So clearly that was just her selfishly wanting to know about Ellliot, yet when she's called on it she made Roman out to be the bad guy. And thats the way she handled finding out her fathers closest friend has cancer. And thats just another examples of the way she badly handled the tough stuff back then. As for it being big of her, Aden was having a mental breakdown over finding out his father knowingly left him in the care of a child rapist, while she almost died, yet took the time to run along the beach, joke, and take someones virginity, I doubt she has a good enough reason to be angry that in the middle of what he was going through he didn't stop to worry about her. I'm quite surprised you found it big of her to try and support him, I was under the impression that you didn't like when people supported him just like that after what he did. Exactly after the trail. When everything was over. It's okay to crack joke about the serious stuff then to lighten the mood. But I don't think that approach would have done much to help his recovery when he was going through all the stuff with his dad. Those everyday ones. He needed a strong support system. And making light of the situation wouldn't have helped help him. All in all I feel Nicole didn't have what it takes to handle the issues that came along with Aden from the beginning. She way she used to go about handling herself when she was hurt, or upset doesn't inspire much faith in her ability to be selfless. We seem to disagree with almost every point on this topic, but I do respect what you're saying. Just thought I'd share my opinions on it. But enough of Nicole now. I swear everytime I say to myself I'm not going to bother with her, thinking of her irritates me so much that I feel the need to rant about it.
