Forget who forgets to take the the pencil out of her mouth. Who decides to kiss someone who still as a pencil in their mouth? I really liked them talking about all the kisses. So funny. That whole scene was so good. . That last line was my favourite of the chapter. How romantic? Seriously, these two have such a weird way of expressing how they feel about each other. I love it. Please update soon.

I'm sorry but I beg to differ. It was a lot more than a handful and with comments like "he's so slimy with Belle and Charlie" and "loser cop" and it was all way before anything to do with the infamous chair incident. It happens when couples become popular and I don't think anyone can really deny that the person who gets in the way isn't unjustifiably slammed by a lot of people. It's a syndrome of every soap. It is their right not to like him even if it because he wasn't Aden (or whatever other reason mentioned)but I'm allowed to comment on it and from where I'm standing there was and still is a lot of anti Angelo purely because of his relationship with Belle. I;m not saying I havn't read a lot of good reasons not to like it but most are just because of Aden and Belle being apart. I don't want Melody next on the list. Off course you are. I'm sorry if my post made it sound like I was attacking you for your opinion. I was just using it to add mine. And I just feel, considering some of the other characters that have come between a supercouple, Angelo seems to have gotten of pretty easy in the beginning. It was his actions from the trail and onwards were the real hate started. And the chair incident just pushed it to an all time high. Melody seems to have gotten tens times more hatred thrown at her, mostly, for intereferring in Nic and Geoff's relationship. I guess it is just that we have a difference of opinion on this. As for those fans who just hate someone, for the sake of it, because they come between a couple, I find that absolutely annoying as well. But unfortunetely there nothing we can do to stop them. And making assumptions about everyone who doesn't like him based on that group of people isn't helping either, and is really unfair as well. And I feel this happens with alot of couples and not just the supercouples. But I also feel it should be someones right to critisize a character for a valid reason without having people write it of as nothing but being bitter about him/her keeping your favourite couple apart. And I feel that's happening with Angelo alot. Because if anyone doesn't like him, even for a valid reason, they get accused of just being an Adelle fan who just hates him for no reason. I think all this needs to work both ways. The fans of a supercouple needs to learn to form an opinion on a character from their actions, not whether their breaking up your favourite couple. And the ones who don't do this, need to respect that some people have genuine reasons for not liking this character and stop making assumptions, and decisions about them based on one group fans who can't see past their favourite couple. (BTW only the first 8 lines was in reponse to Jamey-Maria's post. Nothing else was about her. The rest was just my personal opinion on everything about some of this forum and others, not about her at all. I respect her opinion, and actually enjoy reading most of her posts, even the ones I disagree with.) Anyways back to Melody. I agree with what someone said about Melody and Aden. I think friendship was the wrong word to describe it. It's was just the first word that came to me when thinking about it. It should have been interaction. It's their interaction I love. Their scenes feel real. I love how he tries to help her, as much as he can. There's always a smile on face during their scenes. It comes of as sweet without trying to. It doesn't feel like the writers are trying to make them look cute. Celeste and Todd scenes look very natural. I hope we get more scenes in the future. As for that comforting scene, while I did say I agreed they put Belle in it to see how good he was with Melody, I still think it wasn't the only purpose of it. Just one of the reasons. I think it focused more on Geoff's reaction to seeing Aden comforting her. They spent more time on his reaction. As much it was about Belle, right in the end, it did seem to focus more on Geoff's reaction. Anyways maybe it's time, for me, to stop spending so much time on this scene and Angelo in the Melody/Geoff thread. Since Geoff and Melody was such a lovely pairing, they deserve to have the focus on them. It's why I created the thread in the first place.

I agree with you completely. I'm a huge Aden fan, but even I have to agree. If Aden got out of going to jail because he wasn't in the right state of mind, because of his past, how can they send Melody to jail? She was extremely troubled as well. And for what would they send her? For closing the doors. When she closed those doors, I'm sure she didn't intend on harming everyone. She had no way of knowing Kane was going to drive into the place, or that there would be an explosion later on, and everyone would be trying to escape. She was under the influence of drugs, she probably had no idea what closing the door meant. Yes, I think she needs help, probably in a nice retreat somewhere, but she certainly doesn't belong in a jail cell. She needs help, she doesn't need to be thrown in jail.

I'm gonna review the last two chapters here. I couldn't yesterday because this site was wasn't working properly for me. Now that was funny way of using another name on your list. Can't wait for the rest. I like the chapter. Poor Aden, hearing all that from Cassie about him and Belle. It's so funny imagining Aden, Drew, and Cassie being apart of a gang. The Sally and Aden scene was my favourite though. Really funny. I loved this part. So cute, but at the same time funny. I loved that she made the first move. And seeing him be nervous is so sweet. I also enjoyed that part when a glass cracked and he said that it wasn't his heart and walked off. And how sweet, he helped her overcome her fear. Great chapter. I really enjoyed it. Please update soon.

It's not like the 'more mentally stable' characters in that scene was having much, or any luck in calming her down. I doubt that scene was about making the viewers/Belle like him again. Most of the viewers never stopped after the kidnapping, well those who like him anyways. The majority of those who liked him before the kidnapped him still liked afterwards. Infact most were completely impressed by those scenes. And as for Belle this was the first and only time she was ever in a scene with Aden and Melody together. So I doubt their friendship as anything to do with impressing her. They might have kept her in the scene, to be surprised to see how good he was to Melody, but I seriously doubt the whole scene was created for that reason alone. All the real Angelo hatred came from his behaviour towards the end of their relationship(when he started acting like a possesive jerk), and multiplied because of his actions after the break up. There may have been a handful of people who hated him from the beginning (just because he was with Belle), which is stupid, but that was it. Most still liked him, preferred if she would go back to Aden, but still liked Angelo. Reading back on this forum and elsewhere, it's clear that his character never suffered too much backlash from when he first dated Belle. It was his own actions later on that caused the hatred. It's his actions towards the end, and after the relationship that brought upon the mass hatred. And while some might still find his recent actions justifiable(that's their right), I think we should be allowed to hate him if we have valid reason(that's our right). And I find his recent actions to be that, a valid reason. In the beginning he never suffered any real backlash when he first started dating Belle. There was some. But it wasn't anywhere close to being really bad. Infact most Adelle fans couldn't bring themselves to hate him, because he was too likeable at the time. But with actions now, thats changed. In my opinion, Melody has had it ten times worse so far. The second she came back and made a play for Geoff the hate started, and hasn't stopped since then. And amazingly enough more people have turned on her then Angelo. Atleast he was loved by the majority of people (even when he was with Belle in the beginning)and even now still has a strong following. With Angelo, back then most just wanted him away from Belle (but to stayon the show because he was a good character), but with Mel, most want her gone of the show completely because she keeps intereferring with Nic and Geoff's relationship. Theres various other reasons to, but most come back to the fact that she keeps causing problems for Nic/Geoff. This is just my opinion on the subject anyway. Nothing else. So back to Melody/Geoff. I agree with everyone who has said Melody needs to be on her own. I think she needs to get over this obssession with Geoff as well. It's not doing her any favours.

I honestly don't think anyone can be sure they are meant to be together. But more like they want to believe, and hopes that they are. I agree with you about the time though. I was talking more a couple of months, not weeks or one month. I guess for me it's always been about your expierances together as a couple rather then your time spent together. But yeah, I don't think one month or weeks is enough, but just that it doesn't have to take a year as well. I agree with you. It is, most of the time anyway. Also I think Home and Away(and T.V shows in general) have a thing about throwing those words around too much. Anyways enough about this topic. Back to Jack and Martha. I've liked that the writers gave them a long break towards the last few months of last year. It made them easier to handle. And their scenes weren't so over the top anymore when they were on. Their happy scenes, towards the end, stopped feeling so cheesy(like they always did), and their sad scenes actually made me feel for them instead of not caring. Can't say I like them, but it felt nice to watch an episode with them in it without wishing they would just disappear.
-
It doesn't have to take years and lots of history to fall in love with someone and feel that strongly about them. Strongly enough that you believe you belong together. Especially if the couple has been through alot with each other in that short period of time. It happens in everyday life too, so I don't find it unrealistic. Some people just happen to develop a stronger bond, and connection with each other from the beginning. Whilst others don't, or just need much longer to do so. I feel Jack and Martha needed more time. Because honestly, apart from the cancer, they've barely stood by each other through much. They tended too give up at the first sign that things weren't perfect. I do agree with you about them loving each other though. This will always be one of my most hated relationships, not sad to see it go in the least, but lately I've started to find them to be much more beliveable as a couple.
-
I agree with you, somewhat. Although I don't know whether it's been forgotten, considering the Melody thread still seems to get more discussion then most. But I do feel most would rather have this storyline disappear from the screen in favour of more Jack/Martha, Aden/Belle, and Geoff/Nicole scenes. I for one won't. I feel Aden and Belle are being given the right amount screentime in each episode at the moment considering their storylines(but anymore in an episode would be too much), and was very happy with Martha and Jack's long deserved break from the spotlight. Also until Geoff and Nicole get a storyline of their own there really isn't any reason for them to be given more screentime, infact they shouldn't be given the amount they are getting now. I hope this storyline plays out over time as well. I don't want to see Melody get cured overnight. I want to see her work her way to getting better. And hopefully Miles will be there to help her do that.

I loved this part. I loved everything that Aden said. Aden is continuing to impress me. He really has seemed to grow into the role of husband and father. I loved him in this chapter. He managed to stand his ground without coming of as mean or demanding. And was very calm for most part about it too. Belle was a little easier to handle here. Although it is funny every single time she starts a sentence with 'I'm not going to make excuses ' she always ends with a but 'I was only trying to protect you' or some variation of that. Considering that was her original excuse, it's hard to take her words seriously. Wasn't happy with her playing the victim. Sharing her feelings about not being so good at adjusting to this was one thing but when she kept bringing it up with 'More like I had my faults right' or going on about how easy it is for him, it just made her look pathethic. She could shared her worries about it without bringing up all that. After the last chapter it was a bit hard for me listen to her go on about what's a marriage is all about, even if she had some very good points, and not see it has a complete joke. When Aden asked her about regretting getting married. I was hoping he would have said 'so young' instead of 'so soon'. The 'so soon' didn't really leave much room for a proper discussion. Anyways I enjoyed this chapter. I actually liked him forgiving her. But still needing time. The scene about when the baby kicks was kinda cute. Hopefully things start to get better soon. I'm finding Belle much more likeable when she's happy. Although, apart from that one scene with Justin, I've been loving this Aden.

I must say though, apart from this paragraph that I quoted, I was having trouble seeing this as Belle. And even in this paragraph it's barely there. Unless this is actually an AU version of Belle. It doesn't feel, to me, like something out of Belle's mind. I feel she would be in alot of pain if he wasn't in her life, but I don't know if she would express it with these words. The phrases and words you used don't feel like they would come from Belle. So when reading it I preferred to just imagine it being just some character(I don't know) talking about the love of their life, not Belle about Aden. Weird, i know, since I love reading about these two and how in love they are with each other. But nevertheless it was a brilliant piece. I was trying to go for an AU Belle in that the decision to walk away from him totally changed her and everything else but reading back it may have wandered more into me than even AU Belle lol. I'm still trying to master characterisation in pieces like this, I think I find it much easier with dialogue. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed it just as a standalone piece anyway But just so you know I did love the idea of the fic, and the fic as well. Her trying to leave him behind, and how painful it must be for her. It's just the words she used to describe it is what that made it not seem like her. I just don't see her being so poetic, coming up with all these metaphors, and such to describe her feelings. I think she'd still feel the same amount of hurt, just express it with a more simpler thought process. And as someone who as read chapters from Stockholm Syndrome more times than I can count, i think you write Aden and Belle perfectly in character, most of the time. I'm sure oneshots like this must be alot more difficult to write, but I'm sure it won't take long for you master it.
-
This was beautifully written. I absolutely loved it. I truly love all your angsty oneshots. Hope you do some more Aden and Belle ones like this, one with a happy ending would be okay too. I get what you mean. I wouldn't mind them having more scenes together as well. Just not as friends. I do like her playing the big sister role with him though. Like when he goes to her for advice, or when he's confused and needs someone to talk to. It's them becoming friends that I don't like. I can't buy them being friends. I hate the idea of a friendship between Aden and Geoff too. I wouldn't mind them being civil around each other, but no becoming buddies. I'd like them to be able to stand there in a room together without any trouble, yet still feel abit arkward, and uncomfortable being around each other if they were ever to be left alone. Nicole and Belle is the one I'm dreading the most. I am hoping that, that scene were Nicole took her that care package was a one off thing. Just something nice she did because Belle is her friends girlfriend. I don't want to see these two becoming friends ever. I read someone who said the age difference doesn't matter because Nicole as become quite mature. Maybe she has. But we saw Nicole go from self observed brat to expert on life overnight. We have been watching Belle gradually grow up and mature for the last three years. It's been a long journey. And she's still got along way to go. She's been through alot of different phases in her life, including the highschool one, so she's done with this teen angst stuff. It's time for her to grow up some more. And sitting around with Nicole talking about Geoff, and whatever else Nicole's talks about is not it. Anyway back to Aden and Belle. I hope we get some interaction with some of the older characters, well older them anyway. And we get to see them build some new friendships. Not for the writers to just put them with two people, who are in a place that Aden and Belle have outgrown, just because they can't be bothered to start building some new friendships with other characters, from scratch.
-
I know. The lack of sympathy there is, on most Home and Away related forums, for this issue is shocking. You don't have to like her, but atleast realise that her actions aren't because she is a spoilt brat. I think Melody has the potential to be a great long time character. So hopefully when the writers are done sacrificing her for the sake of Nicole and Geoff, they can go back to focusing on her, and her issues. She is one of only a few characters who is still keeping me interested in the show at the moment. So I look forward to more of her this year.
-
I'd hate for that to happen. I feel Belle and Aden have moved past all that highschool teen drama. They don't belong with the teen group anymore. But they don't belong with the adults either. They need to start forming friendships with the likes of Martha, Kirsty, and even Rachel, that age group. With the kind of issues they've dealt with last year, and are going to deal with this year, they have outgrown all those teenage stuff. I'm not saying the should act like adults, just not act like highschool kids either. For most part of Geoff's time on the show, Belle has looked at him as a nuisance, and I like that because thats how you look at an annoying little brother, and thats what I see their relationship like now. So I feel if she were to start hanging out with him and getting involved in his love life and stuff it would be horrible. And also a step back for her. She's moved past all this. Even when they were in school together you would never see her hanging out with him or even talking to him all that much. So if they do it now, it would just look like a desperate attempt, now that her friends are gone, to give her people to talk to. She needs to start building friendships with characters, like Rachel and Martha who have more life expierance and have been through just has difficult stuff as her. People on her level now. As for Nicole and Aden, while I don't care for this friendship, I don't find it weird. Because, unlike Belle and Geoff, they have had some kind of relationship since the time she arrived. But as long as it just stays Nicole and Aden and not Nicole, Aden, and Belle. Because if Belle and Nicole were to becomes friends then that would bring Geoff into it too. And Geoff and Belle becoming better friends then now would be cringeworthy, for me, to watch.
-
Oh, I really like that idea. In a dream world that would be the kind of job I'd like to see her put her talents to use in. I don't think by having a job like that everything would have to revolve around it. Look at Rachel. She's a doctor, we see her working at the hospital often and yet I don't think many would say we see her do nothing but work at the hospital. If that balance could be recreated with Belle, I think we could see some fascinating stories unfold. Yeah, I don't think it would take over her life too. But if she were to start working for a newspaper, I'd just rather they not keep coming up with mysteries for her to solve. Although one or two would be fine. She is like a mini detective after all.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't want them to make her whole existance about it. But I wouldn't want them to not even mention it either. It would be nice if we just heard her talk about her job, and maybe sometimes see her there. And every once in a while see her job play a small part in a storyline because it's necessary, but just not create storylines specifically to keep showing it. I'd really like to see her do either one of the things I mentioned before. She needs something challenging. And to get away from the diner.
-
Please let it not be Angelo or Melody. Anyone else dying I can deal with. These two are awesome in this fic. Ten times more funnier then even Aden and Belle, some of the time. I have the strangest feeling it's going to be Angelo, hope it's not, it wouldn't be the same without all his stupid plans, and ideas. And as for Mel, I'm gonna pray that what you said a while back about her getting enough scenes in the sequel is still happening. She's hilarious here. Anyway the sequel sounds good.
-
For some reason when I think of a job for her, the first thing that comes to mind is part time art/photography teacher at the highscool. I don't think she has the qualifications for it, but it would be nice. Working at the newspaper sounds good too. But I want it to be just another good job for her. I wouldn't want the writers to keep creating storylines around it, all the time.
-
So funny. I like the image of Belle hiding by a pot plant. Hope she gets over her hiccups soon, it is funny though. Also like how nervous she gets at the thought of having converstaions with people.
-
I agree with this. Both of them have changed to much. And I don't see them working anymore. Maybe they could work, if once Melody sorts herself out, we get to see her being like her old self again, but I don't see that happening. And another reason that it would be safer to keep them apart is because I can see Melody being blamed if Nicole and Geoff broke up, even if Geoff and Mel only happens a long time after. It will be seen as Melody's fault that Nicole and Geoff aren't together, instead of it being that they weren't strong enough as couple, to get through the hard times together. Kinda like the way Sam was treated when she first started dating Jack.
-
Honestly I rather have her treating him like an outsider. Then I don't have to see her get irritated everytime she is around him. I found it funny how when she was talking to him she couldn't get away from him fast enough, yet she can stand around defending him to Aden. Considering her last scene with Justin you would think, that when she realised that he only wanted to talk here, she would have shown some sort of remorse over her previous words to him. But I guess for her it's all about Aden, and whoever else gets hurt it doesn't matter, it's justified if she's doing it to protect him. I'm harsh on her I know, but her scenes with Justin doesn't do her any much favors. She seems to act like shes above him, and his just a burden that won't go away. Right now Justin is showing way more understanding, maturity, and respect, then she is. And even though he can't shut is mouth for 5 seconds with his witty comments(that I love), he still comes of as the better person between them. And it souldn't be like that. It's only been 4 days. - Thats what she said before. Seriously, It's only been 4 days and she's kicking him out. She really thinks she should have been forgiven that soon. Amazing, it only took 4 days before she made it about them, instead of just him. She betrays his trust, and shows she doesn't trust him to be able to handle something tough without being pushed over the edge, and she expects him to forgive her in four days. Different case if all this frustration, and anger of hers came after weeks of them being like this, but 4 days. And considering all the times he as started talking to her a little, watching movies with her, and even holding her at night, she is bloody lucky. I was under the impression that it been a longer time since she told him about seeing Justin. For what she did the silent treatment should have lasted 4 days. Seriously, she does something wrong, then starts making demands because he refuses to deal with in 4 days. Is she taking tips from Martha, on how to be a wife. And tips from J/M on what real commitment is. Anyway I did enjoy the scene with Mattie, Ric, Drew, and Belle. It was funny. I love that you've kept her old friends in it. And to think I was so happy to see Belle feeling better. That changed fast, for me. With Belle, in the last few chapters I go from, hating her in one chapter, then feeling a little for her, to warming to her, to in this chapter wishing I could strangle her, and secretly hoping Aden throws some divorce papers at her(okay I don't really want that to happen but it would give her a serious wake up call), because she really shouldn't be married. I honestly believe she needed to grow up alot first. I'm starting to question whether getting married was a good thing for Belle and Aden. I feel he is doing a good job of it so far, in the happy and sad times, but so far it's only in the happy times that she is coping well. I don't think she is cut out for it yet. And it's not just about this chapter, but a few moments in other ones as well. People say things in the heat of the moment, that I can understand, but she just doesn't know how to make a right decision at all. I felt Aden was actually slowly trying in this chapter. By going to her to apologise for snapping at her he showed that he really doesn't like treating her that way. And for him to feel this way after only 4 days, he's showing alot more understanding then most would. And the fact that after such a small time, he is still making the effort to watch movies with her(even if his mind is not in it), hold her, and talk sometimes, is a lot. He does need a push when it comes to dealing with Justin though. Because his attitude towards that is unhealthy. He really is avoiding it, rather than taking time. I'm was glad when Belle pointed that one out. But theres a difference between being tough and giving someone a push, and what she did. She started it out about Justin, but in the end used it to make it about their marriage. While their marriage is important, right now her husband is hurting, and is confused, she could atleast put them aside for one minute and keep the conversation about him. Anyway enough ranting by me. Still love your writing. Don't think I'd be feeling this strongly about the characters if I didn't. I'm a Belle fan first and hate when people purposely create a storyline/or situation in fic, and on the show, that keep making her out to be the villian and Aden the victim. When she takes everything he throws at her without standing up for herself. Then she snaps and makes one comment against him and shes a monster. But only love her standing up for herself when it is warranted. I don't think she was being treated unfairly here. She infact as been treated pretty well considering. She had a right to be angry and frustrated(with good reason),here, but she really didn't have any right to demand anything. I'm still looking forward to the next chapter. It's really getting interesting. I'm loving how angsty you've made everything. I know it might not seem like that considering how much I've critisized it recently but I love when fics give me lots to think about. When it makes me feel so strongly about a character. And when the characters actions can make me feel, angry, happy, sad, and want to smile just reading it. And this fic as had it all. I prefer chapters that leaving me so mad, stunned, or in such a good mood, then the ones where I leave it thinking 'oh it was good I guess, nothing special but good'. And then I have to think of what to say. You haven't had many chapters like that but it happens. I like chapters like this. Ones that leave me with all the words in my head, that once I start my review I find it difficult to stop. I think this is officially my longest review for you. But, hey, I did say that once I start I can't stop.

I don't think I've seen a character who has had less character growth, on the show, then Jack. I honestly believe if he hadn't become apart of a supercouple then his character would never have lasted this long, and if he did last he would have faded into the background a long time ago. He seems to only exist for the sake of J/M. His scenes with Tony, and Lucas used to be the only ones I found to be reasonably entertaining. Even though I've hated J/M for a very long time, I've started to actually enjoy Martha's scenes lately, but Jack still does nothing for me. Sometimes even when a character is not written well, if the actor playing them is good enough, then they can still make you care about the character. I think if they had a more capable actor playing Jack, it might have helped alot. I probably still wouldn't like him, but probably wouldn't think of him as a complete waste of space.

This is the part in any other Aden/Belle fic where he would be in complete awe at how beautiful she looked. I loved this reaction. So different, and funny. And for some reason, in this fic, I wouldn't have expected anything else. You've got me intrigued about the lady now. I liked her naming all the times he's done stupid things. My favourite part would be how he said he wasn't going to let her down and that she would be the last person he ever wanted to let down. Please update soon.
