Rachel used to be one of my favourites, and if they keep writing her the way they have been since she got pregnant I think she could go back to being one of my favourites. I hated how harsh everyone was towards her character after the Aden kidnapping her stuff. I'm a huge Aden fan, but I think she handled that situation better than most would. Unfortunately one comment, about how it wasn't a breakdown, and everyone didn't care that it was her, in the end, that kept him out jail. I think she showed alot of kindness, and consideration by talking to the physcologist on his behalf. I felt her initial reaction was a very human one. And I don't like how it's always expected of her to have the right answers because of her job. But that aside I have found Rachel to be quite annoying for most part of the last year. Especially the way she keeps pushing the baby stuff. I know she desperately wants one, but sometimes she seems obssessed. And her scenes became like a chore to sit through. I have started to enjoy her scenes again since she got pregnant, so hopefully they'll keep writing her this way. Pregnancy has already done wonders for her character.

I hope Ruby gets a big storyline this year. So far she's, mostly, been a supporting character in others storylines. I think she deserves one of her own. And not one centering around her and Xavier, just her. I also don't want to see her fade into the background. Because she has alot of potential. She needs to be given more to do.

Actually I always thought he'd become the poster boy for the good looking teen guy, once the old teen group broke up. And he has. His unique personality is long gone now. Now he is made to be the good looking hero, who has two girls fighting over him. Who isn't nervous about a first kiss any more, but is comfortable having sex after just one kiss. And his face sells magazine covers. I knew it wouldn't be too long since they changed him to suite the image of the resident hot guy. It was always a given that they would do that. So when they paired him with Melody, it surprised me. And his shyness around her, and the fact that he was still the guy who didn't know how to handle girls, made me feel that maybe there was hope for him. But, even with the serious storylines they had, they weren't on any magazine covers though. But they pair him up with Nicole and suddenly they appear on every cover together. Even though this couple has barely done anything so far. They are hot people who look hot together. So naturally they would end up going with the couple who would look hot together on magazine covers. Because thats the way it is in T.V land. So it was good too see the 'not so hot girl' win for once. It doesn't happen very often. Not really, she didn't. Instead of having feelings for Geoff, she became hooked on Aden. And that was still happening after she became friends with Geoff too. So she had got to know him. Then when met Elliot and 'she never felt this way about anyone', she basically ignored Geoff. She got a good look at the kind of person Geoff was yet she was more focused on Elliot. She only turned to Geof after she was rejected by Aden, and used by Elliot, and even then only after he told her how he felt. Even though she started to see what he was like during their friendship was still pining after Aden at first, then Elliot. So she didn't choose him over them, because at the she didn't have the option of them any more. She did think she could get him. Infact all the comments to Melody earlier on suggests that. She acted like she could get him with a snap of her fingers. That attitude only changed since her personality transplant after the OC. And that happened after she got him. But I do agree with your point about Mel needing to be on her own. I don't want to see her paired with anyone any time soon as well. She needs to get herself together first. And I think she has a long way to go before that happens. I do respect your opinion on this matter though, but just thought I'd share mine.

This is the most noticeable thing, for me, about them. It's like the writers don't know what to do with them any more. So they keep including them in the Mel storyline. Apart from that, really have nothing else to do. I feel it would have been better if they skipped that whole cheesy pregnancy scare stuff and had a long storyline arc about Geoff's struggle with going against his religious beliefs, then they might have been atleast a little interesting. I don't think they paid enough attention to that. It would have made for a nice serious storyline. And that whole 'one kiss and they sleep together thing' puzzles me. Not even characters who tend to be very sexually active have sex with someone after just one kiss, most of the time. What was the purpose for that, except for the two week moral dilemma which just served to prolong them getting together.

Loved this part. Aden's mixed signals are really confusing the hell out of Belle, isn't it? I loved that part were he kissed her cheek. Aden and Roman's talk was really good. I'm glad he went to him. I love that once again Roman ended up being the voice of reason. And also the way Aden kept refusing to admit that Belle did this for his own good. At this moment, he seems like he feels obligated to stay angry. It was nice the way he kept insisting on staying angry at Belle, but on the inside was starting to understand her decision. It feels so much better then if he just forgave at once, or acted completely mean and ignored her completely. This way feels more realistic. Now if they make up soon, it won't feel rushed in any way. And after all this maybe Belle would have finally learnt her lesson about keeping things from people. I liked the Nicole scene in this chapter. This kind of Nicole scene in an Adelle fic, I can deal with. It felt so much more natural, then when people decide to put in a Nicole scene that lasts like half the chapter, time that could be spent on the actual plot, for no other reason than to add her. This way she made an appearance, was a little funny, and let him know she cared, all while having a reason for being there at the moment. And all that was accomplished in a few lines, so then the chapter could go back to focusing on the storyline that actually matters. It was nice little scene between Nicole and Aden.

One of my hopes for this year is that the writers remember that Belle is a great character on her own, and she's not just Aden's girlfriend. I think they seem to forget that sometimes. As much as I love Adelle, I loved Belle talking to Irene about, how she's gotten so caught up with her relationship with Aden that she's completely neglected the rest of her life. Now that the developement stuff as helped her get back into her passion, once she recovers from everything shes going through, I want to see get out of the Diner and use her talent to make a proper career for herself.

Colleen is such a loveable character. She can be annoying, and a complete nuinsance at times, but I can't help but still love her. I always look forward to all her oneliners. She brings some much needed comedy to the show. I also loved that she can be serious as well. One of my favourite Colleen scenes was when she was talking about her past, and her life to Roman, when she told him about being Alf and Morag's sister. I really felt for her in that scene. That scene also showed that she would be capable to carry a storyline on her own. I hope she gets one.

This year the writers need to give Geoff and Nicole something else to do. What Melody is going through is an important issue, one that doesn't get enough attention on TV as it is, and I'm sure theres alot of people watching who can relate to it(whilst most would rather turn a blind eye to it and wish it of our screens, theres alot of us who appreciate the writers shining a light on this), so this storyline deserves to be treated with respect. I'm tired of the writers using this storyline to give Geoff and Nicole something to do because they've run out idea's on what to do with them. This has become so clear because of the fact that apart from this they don't do anything. I get that Geoff had to play a part in this, and by default Nicole, but they have been giving more airtime to their issues because of it then Melody's. The season finale was a perfect example of that. . And Melody's longest one was with them. For people who didn't have a big storyline of their own, in the finale, they took up way to much time in that episode. That time could have easily filled that Rachel and Bridgett or even the developers, something more worthy of a finale.

I hope the only storyline Aden and Belle will be involved in for while will be , and the consequences of that. I don't want to see them be given storyline after storyline. One nice storyline played out over time would be ideal. I love these two and they are one of the few characters that still interest me, on the show, but I can't stand the thought of them turning into another J/M. I think once that storyline finishes they need a long break from being in the spotlight. Then maybe after a few months be given something else. I think it will be good for their relationship, and keep their fans from eventually getting tired of them. While I love that this couple has so much support from the fans, part of me dislikes how popular they've become(not because the hype as put me of them, I tend to not base my liking or disliking of a character/pairing on what others feel about them), but because everytime a couple gets popular, they get ruined from over exposure. I hope the writers get creative with them. They managed to create a wonderful pairing, and I don't to see this pairing get ruined.

I've been wondering about Melody's character recently, and where they could go with her. All I can hope is that when she is done being villianised, while I do like her acting out storyline, I'm not enjoying them using it to give Geoff and Nicole something to do, we will get to see some of the old Melody back. While I've enjoyed watching her recently I still miss the girl she used to be. And I would also like to see her become closer to Ruby and Annie. I think they could make a nice little group of friends.

^^ Noticed that one, but when trying to pick the funniest, in the end the knome one won out.
-
Yay! A chapter full of Aden and Belle. Theses two were hilarious. Hilarious, I feel like I use that word atleast once in all my reviews for this fic. What can I say, I'm not very creative, and it really is hilarious. I loved this chapter. Definitely one of my favourites. "Because I rather come in". He shot back. "Theres a little knome in there I can talk to." Funniest line of the chapter. There were so many funny lines to quote and after taking a while to figure out which one to choose, I finally settled on this. Loved them teasing each other throughout the chapter. And aww she makes him nervous. Both titles sound good, but I prefer Deadline. Sounds better to me. Simple, and to the point.

Good to know it's not finishing any time soon. Looking forward to that sequel as well.

Roman is an amazing character. His scenes with most of the characters are a pleasure to watch. I hate characters who act like they know everything, but Roman is different. He never acts like he knows everything, just gives advice when he feels it's needed. I loved his earlier interactions with Colleen. That scene when she told him that she was Alf and Morag's sister truly showed what a kind and considerate person he was. He was so sweet with her. And he has got to be the most patient boss ever. His scenes with Irene are also good. Especially in the beginning. And he treated Martha so well when they were dating, and was a good friend to her during the cancer stuff. While I liked their relationship, I had so much respect for him, when he walked away from Martha because he could see that she loved Jack and wasn't over him. I don't see were all this worry about Roman making a move on Martha is coming from. So far he's done nothing but respect the fact that she loves Jack. He was willing to put his feelings aside and let Martha go so she could be with the man she loved. And now, even though he realised he loves her, he as kept it to himself. He's not making her life harder. Once again he's putting his own feelings aside for her. I want them together in the future. But for now, I just want friendship, and I think thats all he'll give her as well. I particularly love his friendship with Miles, his relationship with Nicole(it's the only Nicole scenes I enjoy), and most importantly all his scenes with Aden. I love that he never gave up trying to help him, even when Aden acted like he didn't need it. It's really been worth it in the end. He is one of the most understanding characters on the show. He's been a good support system for most of the people in his life. And though he says what he thinks by giving people advice, he still respects their decisions. He's never petty. And he never becomes judgemental when people do something he deems wrong. The rest of the characters could learn a thing or two from him. There have been times when he has irritated me a bit though. Wasn't too fond of the way he was neglecting Charlie in the beginning. But he's learnt from that now. Love that he chose to end things with her when he realised that he couldn't see a future for them. Apart from that there have been a few times when I wasn't to happy with him but overall he is a great character. Also Conrad is one of the better actors on the show.

Another amazing update. I love that he held her in the end. I love that he may not be as angry as before but things are still tense between them. It's very realsitic. I was afraid for a second that he was going to forgive and forget, I want that to happen but now would have been to soon. Also it's interesting to watch Belle not know how to act atound Aden. It's a big change from how she usually is around him. Please update soon.
-
Love these two. Aww Geoff. Hope they unfix it for him soon. Love Geoff taking off at Belle and Aden. And how timidly Belle asked Aden. I didn't know she was capable of being timid in this fic. Angelo and his pizza's are funny as well. I can't believe theres only two chapters left. So sad to see this end. Pleasae update soon.

Whether it was filler or not, this chapter was one of my favourites. The silence was so much more effective than all the shouting and screaming would have been. I loved that you did it this way. Especially loved how devoid of emotion he was around her , but still showed signs of caring when it came to the baby. It felt so in character. The tension was even getting to me, so there were so many times when I just wanted say 'just say something for gods sake' out loud. Yet I still loved that they remained this way. I really can't express how much I enjoyed the entire part from the time he came home. It was brilliant. During this chapter I completely forgot that I don't like Belle at the moment. I think I have officially warmed to her again. Good Drew and Belle scene. But it was completely overshadowed, for me, by the Aden and Belle scenes. Please update soon.

I hope one of the idea's is that missing scene fic you mentioned once on the old Aden/Belle AT. Still hoping for that one, someday.

I'm so happy someone finally decided to do a storyline like this. And it being you who decided to give it a go made it better. It was gauranteed that it would be awesome. Both endings were good. Although I think I preferred the first one. Although he went into more detail in the second one, like Symphony said, it felt to cramped. And we didn't get much of their reaction. It's like they went from them feeling one way for most of it to feeling another without much thought. I loved the pace in the first one. Seeing Mattie and Cassie slowly, during that conversation, realise what Belle saw in Aden. You kept Drew very in character. I see this being exactly how he would reaction if he were to ever find out on the show. Ric and Lucas most of the time felt like they weren't even there. Cassie and Mattie's parts were my favourite. They were both shocked but still cared about her feelings. My favourite thing about this fic was how insecure and hurt Aden was feeling about it all. Great oneshot.

I can see what you mean there. But also, for me, something felt a little off with this chapter. It wasn't like the rest. I did still enjoy the chapter though. I liked the part with Mel, Ruby and the grandmother. And Belle's attempt at a chat with Drew was funny. Love and the Coastal Junior Part 4. > Part four and there is no( lets be together kind of) love between Aden and Belle yet. Are you trying to torture us? Although Ruby and Matthew are certainly keeping me entertained till then. Please update soon.

and the relationship between him and Belle was just a way of getting him into that place rather than a way of keeping her and Aden apart?Possible.Could they have done it another way? Nope, not saying that. I don't think the reason he was brought in was purely for that reason alone. Just one of them. He was also there to give Roman that extra push to commit to Charlie, a friend for Charlie, someone to be there for Belle just after the kidnapping, someone who's job could come in handy for Belle, and to cause more drama for Aden and Belle. I think the purpose for the cheating was purely a way to get to the scene between Angelo and Jack.
-
So I was thinking about the cheating the other day and I came to a realisation that, the cheating was just a plot device to get the story where they needed it in order to have the finale cliffhanger between Angelo and Jack. Belle's cheating caused Angelo to start acting angry and making threats against her ----> Which made him a perfect suspect for her attack -----> Which is the thing that made him desperate enough to get involved with the developers -----> Which got Jack suspicious -----> Which led to the night in the finale. They needed to get Angelo involved with the developers in order for Jack to get all suspicious and follow him. Belle was the key to getting him involved. They needed him to be deseperate enough to actually do what they wanted. Being accused of the assault did that. They needed a reason for why he would be accused. Agressive behavior towards her accomplished that. And the only reason for that kind of behaviour would be if she hurt him badly. Now when written like this it feels like a bunch of excuses I came up with. But after trying to think of others ways that could have led to the events of that night in the finale, I couldn't come up with a thing. It's kind off the way the sacrificed Ruby with the crush on Miles for the sole purpose of revealing the Miles/Kirsty relationship.

Love this part. This chapter, this is the kind of angst I love. I'm so happy that this chapter was made up of Aden's thoughts mostly. That first scene was so good. I love that he didn't go mad screaming, when Belle told him. I do think she deserved to feel bad, but with being pregnant and all it wouldn't be good for baby. Also how he got more worked up about the fact that Belle and the baby could have been in danger. Even when he is angry he is still a corncerned husband and father. Thats the Aden that I like. Also like that part where he was guessing her reasons for not telling him. That whole part with his thoughts was brilliant. It was really needed. All his reasons for not being able to handle Justin back in his life was so sweet, sad, but the fact that deep down he actually does want his brother back is sweet. Especially his fear that Justin would leave again. It's so sad how he keeps trying to make himself believe he doesn't care. This whole part with his thoughts was such a pleasure to read. The last scene was good too. It was nice that Justin didn't push him to talk. I loved the little scene. Loved all Justins funny comments. It sometimes feels weird when I write a review completely critisizing a character and then a little while later I'm back to liking them, then I always think why didn't I just hold off on the review to see where the storyline goes before critisizing it. But then I realise I prefer reviewing each chapter on it's own. And to just review their actions at the moment, and not based on what might happen in the future. Anyway thought I'd point that out incase you were thinking ' Why doesn't she just wait and see before writing out long replies critisizing the characters?' Lovely chapter. Please update soon.

I don't know how I would react but I do know that treatenning people and harrassing them would not be it. Especially if I was a cop. Not 'everyone' forgives Aden. Read through the thread and you will realise that. And while you are at it theres a nice paragraph on generalizing Skykat put up recently, you should consider reading that as well. I like to look at the actions of the characters seperately and not compare them to others. It's not a competition on who did the worse. Just because I find Adens actions justifiable doesn't mean that I should also Ahgelo's as well. It's just that to me, ones reasons was more justifiable then the others. And I won't discuss why I find Aden's reason to be justifiable since this is not an Aden thread. So I'll leave discussion of him for the appropiate thread. Maybe there is a damn good reason for it. > Thats the thing I don't know if there is. So until I know otherwise I am going to judge his actions based on the facts we've been given. And if we are given more I'll be willing to take that too into consideration. My only reason for replying to this is because you either specifially asked me a question or whether you meant that in general I was not sure, so I decided to give you an answer anyway to 'How would you react?'
