  1. I have to say I'm quite liking his character. It's nice to see them bring in a "teen" (although seriously whoever thought he could get away with playing a 17 year old obviously had been drinking a lot of alcohol or had only the use of one eye) who seems reasonably normal. He wants to have fun, flirts with all the girls but seems to have a serious side to him and a bit of a history. He also seems to be that rarity in Home and Away - level headed. At least he's not super pious and holier than thou, like Geoff was when he first arrived or super angry and a total ass like Aden was when he first appeared. If they can move away from having him randomly wandering around without his top it might help to take him seriously. I get that H&A is geared towards the fangirls as much as anything but it does get a bit YAWN seeing them have the guys wandering around topless when it makes no sense whatsoever to the situation. Geoff has to be the worst offender of all time. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate a scantily clad guy as much as the next person but "time and place, people, time and place".
  2. it's not needed anymore though is it? as Dan said ; it was turning into a discussion thread, which we have this one and the specified Belle one for but obviously The last few episodes these days have been heart-wrenching, seriously. I probably will return here to talk a little more after watching episode 4917 - . That's not my point - my point was Belle was hardly cold and there was a big X beside the Adelle thread. That X really hammered home the point that the pair of them are now extinguished. I'm not even a fan and I felt sad when I saw it. I think today would have been a good time to close it and then move out any discussions about them into the relevant thread. Today's episode won't be so Aden and Belle heavy so people won't be so over-wrought and it may not be so insensitive to close it down today. I probably sound like a lunatic but all this Belle stuff has brought me right back to how I was feeling inn January and February after Jack died so I am putting myself in Belle and Aden fans' shoes based on that. As an Adelle/Belle fan, Mistified, I'd just like to say thanks. As you say, you're not a fan and it would be easy to say "get over it" and "move on" so thanks again for not doing that. It probably seems a bit of an over reaction but even I've been surprised by just how upsetting it's been to think there's no more Belle or Adelle and closing the thread just seemed like a neon sign saying "THE END".. Still, now I'm just going to go onto my next mission of getting Jess Tovey nominated for a logie next year for her recent performance in H&A - not exactly sure how to do that considering I'm not Australian and don't think I could vote anyway but maybe if I just keep saying the Aussie fans will get it done
  3. I don't know if Jess has ever won or even been nominated for a Logie before and to be honest I never understood how she wasn't up for one this year but I would like to be the first to start the campaign to ensure she's nominated for next year for her role as Belle Taylor. I have always thought she was a talented actress but I think that what we've seen on our screen over the last year and a half or so but especially from the start of her addiction storylline and beyond is pure gold. I've been reading comments on this and other sites and the thing that struck me is that even those who weren't Belle or Adelle fans have been openly praising Jess and her acting abilities and some have even found themselves warming to the character of Belle and Adelle as a couple. I think that in itself is a testament to her amazing ability to immerse herself in whatever role she is portraying. I'm almost embarassed by how attached I became to Belle and how sad I am at the idea that I won't be seeing her on Home and Away in future. I'm a grown woman and much too old to be so affected by a character or a story but I'll gladly sit here crying like a baby if it means I get to see Jess Tovey put in performances like she has done in the past few months and especially in the last few weeks. Jess, I salute you. Belle, I'll miss you.....
  4. Couldn't agree more. We hardly had time to wipe the tears from our poor little eyes It's a bit like Wham, Bam, Thank you mam, now clear out of here. Thanks for thinking of us though
