Are you kidding me?! Have you ever seen her facial expresion alter during a scene? She delivers her lines like she is reading from a shopping list. And what is up with that oh-so-rehearsed gesticualting?! She is about as natural as Kate Price's chest. I often wonder if Sylvia Young isn't standing off camera holding up cue cards telling her what to do. I cringe every time she opens her mouth. She knows nothing absolutely zippo about inhabiting a character, acting instinctively etc. And who on Earth do the writers think they are kidding by tring to imply that she is clever? She can't even speak properly. She is almost inarticulate. Okay, I'll stop bashing now. But the sooner she burns at the stake the better IMHO. And she should ignite pretty quickly, given how wooden she is. On a nicer note, Stacey's acting is at times really quite impressive. She is unihibited in acting- everthing the Ruby actress will never be.

He is a bit of a dish, I must confess.......and I had lost all hope in EastEnders after bumping off dennis.... However, his attempts at being "dangerous" and "intimidating" are quite comical. He has something of the pantomime about him....however he is quite gorgeous, so he is forgiven. All they need to do know is push Ruby"Wooden" Allen off a flyover and I may even start watching Easties properly again.

I know the feeling. I was so hoping it was a fake spoiler about him being killed...but alas, to no avail. The people who said he fakes it were just clinging to false hope, I'm afraid. He is definetley dead........even though I heard no bang. Just saw him staggerring towrds Sharon clutching his chest... Very good acting from Nigel and Tish though, it was heart-wrenching stuff. Had me in proper tears! Nigel wanted out for good, so there was never any chance that he would return anyway, but typical EastEnders to go for the big ratings-grabber rather than giev Shannis a nice happy ending.

....and thus ends the life of the only truly gorgeous character EastEnders has ever seen. So, so sad. Dennis was so lovely, right till the end...I just wanted him to finish old Allen off, then sail off into the sunset with Sharon....too tragic...he was just too perfect. *sigh* No more EastEnders for me now. There is nothing left to watch for.... Humpty Phil? Charmless Martin? Revolting Gary? Hopeless Bily? No thank you very much indeed. Harman was the best thing to happen to that show in years. *further sighs*

It's really only a rebellion storyline for Ruby....now that she knows Johnny hates him so much, it is only going to drive her on to be with him, just to spite her father. She is too immature for a proper relationship. Also....this may be a controversial opinion but...I am the only one who thinks the girl who plays Ruby is a really, really bad actress?? She was ok-ish in the beginning, in all those emotional scenes with Johnny, but she is terrible at anything else. She is just really expressionless or something. She delivers all her lines in excatly the same, flat, whispery, timid way. I thought that was quite appropriate for those scenes where Johnny's past was revealed, but for other stuff it is quite awful, cringe-worthy even. She also does that crazy-eye swiveling thing when she is doing an emotional scene that I suppose she thinks is a good acting technique but just comes off as really comical. It's a shame she is so wooden, as the character has great potential, I feel. Ah, well. Hopefully she will leave when Johnny does, and not a moment too soon either. As for this mass exodus of the old characters and mass influx of new....well, I do predict rough waters ahead. Just think about it: By the new year there will no Watts', no Moon's, very few Slaters, no Dennis, Sam or Chrissie.....and a whole host of randomers. I think it will take viewers a while to get over the old lot and to warm to the new. It's a hugely risky move of EastEnders....I reckon it will either make or break the show for good.

Oh God yesterday's ep was almost pantomimic......the dialogue between Phil and Grant was like a bad school play. And acted with the same level of level of talent. That whole "are you calin' me stupid?" "No, i'm calling you stupid!" "Oh ha ha!" was cringeworthy stuff. Humpty and Dumpty back on our screens and worse than ever....Lord help us all..

It'll be one of them that's coming back.....Frank, Kevin Wicks, Grant or Phil, I reckon. My money is on the Wicks'.

I saw Chrissie!!!!! I just saw her!! Welll, a few hours ago actually. She lives very near to me, and she was up at the local shoping area, walking along with some bags, looking rather grumpy in fact! I glanced at her to verify that it was her, then carried on walking and staring straight ahead. I suppose I could have yelled out "Oi, Chrissie!", but the mood she looked to be in, I may have ended up with a Den-style thump on the head with a china dog. She is alot smaller in real life, and her hair is less bouncy.....that is about it....oh and she seemed to be hurrying somewhere. She was with another woman to whom she was moaning at for lagging behind. This is not really a big deal.....but I felt compelled to mention it coz I just saw her....and then there she was on screen! Magic! About half the cast of EastEnders seem to inhabit the area in which I live, so they don't really turn heads. I have seen Paul Trueman, Beppe Di Marco, Mark Fowler and Phil Mitchell in recent months.....I really ruins the illusion a bit... Ah well, just thought I would share that with y'all...

It's called "mockney" and is absolutely cringeworthy! And about a week after that she began to speak the Queen's English, which waseven stranger.... I agree her American accent was fine....and actually fairly realistic for a British ex-pat living in the States, I mean, just listen to those Osbourne kids! The poor actress recieved so much stick for her dodgy accent, which was rather uncalled for. It was the producers fault for constantly changing therir minds about how Vicki should sound, not Scarlett Johnson's!

What a raw deal. We lose hunky Dennis......and in exchange get the vile Mitchells, Grunt, Phiwl, and old witch Windsor, back to "own" the square in their usual bossy, thuggish way. Oh, and Frank with his sandpaperr vopice. Yuck yuck yuck. As soon as these changes come into effect, I am switching off permanently. As will the rest of the country, no doubt. Is that the sound of the final nail, edging it's way into the coffin, I hear?

Chrissie's hair reminds me of that twirly pasta. Fusilli, I think it is called. Kinda cool though, and if she ever gets peckish she has a ready snack located on top of her head. Juley has actually left! It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment (similar to his role on the show in fact) but he went off to"find himself" or some such. Totally pointless waste of a character. Same with Gus. I can't tell whether he has left or not? Bringing back the Mitchells is going to be suicide for the show. I'm pretty sure it will be the final nail in the coffin. They are so fixated on the past, they have forgotten the rest of us no longer care. Surely they have learnt their lesson with the Dirty Den disaster??? They should be trying to move the show forward, not delving into the archives for inspiration. And the Mitchells were rubbish, single-faceted characters to begin with. What are they going to do with them now?? Hopefully something that involves a ceramic dog and a Macbeth-style murder plot. I despair of EastEnders these days. It is unlikely to ever return to it's former glory.

Did you see yesterday's episode??? The way Danny was clinging onto Jake's arm in the car and gazing so soulfully into his eyes....... I know it's easy to say, given Jake Maskall's sexual orientation, but he plays Danny so absurdly camp, it really does look like he has a little thing for his brother. What on Earth have they done to the character of Danny? With yesterdays ep, it seemed they were trying to imply that Danny had some kind of mental illness. Whatever it is, there is something definetly not right with that boy. Actually, I think they were daft to write Danny out. I think they could have done something with him. Because he is very different, they is really a world of directions his character could have gone in. Instead of the silly, wholly unrealistic "ladies" man persona, perhaps they could have had Danny expolring his sexuality?? Or anything really. It baffles me the way they keep those awful, one dimensional characters like Garry and Minty (the men-behaving-badly routine is so cliched) but chuck out the vaguely interesting ones. Oh, and of course the horrendous Mitchells are on their way back......this really is the begginning of the end........ (If they put old Witch Windsor back behind the bar I am switching off for good)
