  1. Oh sorry, I thought I remembered him hitting Kirsty, but you're right, he never actually did. I think what bothered me about him getting so angry about Dani running him down was that he was so enraged and didn't even contemplate what her emotional state must have been like after what he did to her. I mean, of course he should be upset and angry if someone runs him down (I agree that he genuinely believed she did it deliberately as well), but he was so livid, it was like he completely ignored the long lasting effects that his raping her would have had. And yes, he did seem to realise his actions were wrong after the second mediation session, but his behaviour since in other areas hasn't shown the same self-awareness. He moans about having to go on the run and never getting a fair go, but then he negates any reason to be given one by committing armed robberies. Anyway, I agree that Kirsty is also a manipulative character, and I've never liked her either (not since the Kane stuff, anyway). That's why I don't like the way they've often been cast as a Romeo and Juliet type, rather than two self-centred miscreants who deserve each other. Oh, and the whole 'babe' thing has always gotten on my nerves, haha! Is it just me or are the current writers joking around with that, by having them use that term every time one addresses the other?
  2. And I dont understand how you could be with your sisters rapist. I cant understand that seriously.. I totally agree. Personally, I've always found the Kirsty/Kane popularity baffling. This is a man who has raped someone, hit his significant other, divided a family on more than one occasion, bayed for the blood of his rape victim after she accidentally hit him with her car, committed numerous armed robberies, insisted his wife move on, then demanded her back at the drop of a hat, all while playing the victim card. (The fact he was acquitted for those robberies is utterly absurd, btw). The way the writers have, in the past, romanticised him and the K/K relationship struck me as very dangerous. Personally, I'm glad the writers seem to be making more responsible decisions now with the current plot, by revealing Kane as the manipulative, controlling (even abusive) type that he is. I hope that they continue to do so, or otherwise redeem him entirely, which may be near impossible. (It seems like he never has any true remorse for his actions.) Anyway, that just my opinion.
