Personally I preferred 1995 as we had Marilyn back and Marilyn really added energy to show.

In 2021 Irene was telling Marlyn she was going to Sydney to visit Finlay and Marlyn said it’s good you getting away for bit even if is just too city as you can’t travel too far at moment .

I was thinking that too at least H&A did once very vaguely mentioned COVID pandemic unlike Neighbours that never mentioned it all.

I really don’t know what the point was in Colleen having a long lost daughter as it did not lead anywhere and Maureen left soon afterwards and never to be mentioned again. It almost felt like they felt the need to give Colleen are one yearly storyline . Mind you she did have a big breast cancer storyline later that year . I always thought Colleen didn’t have many storyline’s but now that I think off it she did have far few with gamble addiction and book storyline with Max and couple failed romances and later finding out she was Stewart .

Got to say the last episodes since he's been back have been better but it’s plot convenience on how characters act at times expressing in last 7 years or so.

In last few years more characters have seem to have stayed longer and obviously pandemic was hugely factor on why actors wanted to stay longer but however pandemic long over now and we got Tane and Mackenzie both are not past four years and we haven’t had regular character leave in over year and we only had three new regulars in last years . Dean/Jasmine/Tori/Ryder/Ziggy all past stayed past four years. I think Colby and Willow would stayed longer if there storyline’s went in different direction. Personally I prefer more coming and goings as keeps show fresh with new characters and both Dean and Ziggy were very stale by time they left and same with Ryder and Jasmine. I got to say i really am starting to feel lot characters starting to get stale Mackenzie/Tane/Cash/Rose. You thoughts ?.

But Michael would have left with Pippa anyway as Dennis would quit alongside Debra. Debra left because she was moving back to Melbourne to be close to her mother. Even if Debra's circumstances were different and she had stayed living in Sydney there is still every chance she may eventually have decided to leave further down the track although I do think Debra knew like Judy knew they have steady income on H&A I think the plan was always for Joel and Natalie to move into Sumner Bay House eventually after Pippa left. I think the turning point would be in 2000 though either Rhys is bought in as single dad to pair up with Pippa or Irene written out with Ken Smith and all Sutherlands move into beach house instead. Given Christoper Fletcher would be in high school by 2000 I think he become regular by then and Christoper Egan would possibly played Christoper instead of Nick Smith. I think would be good to have both Duncan and Christoper in same teenage group given they grew up with each other and both born on show.

@adam436why are you confuse for because Joel and Natalie were still to new and strangers for them to take over running Summer Bay House.

I wondered why Pippa asked Rebecca & Travis to look after kids and the Park as they were only young and in their mid 20s and even though she barely knew Joel and Natalie . I thought Joel and Natalie would be better to ask given they were older and Joel being police officer and Natalie school teacher with two kids you think they seem like better option even if Pippa had only just met them. While we all know Joel and Natalie were created to replace Pippa but took well over year before they move into Summer Bay House and by time Rebecca and Travis left and few months later Natalie left and Joel moved out. I was watching 2001 episodes little while ago and watching drop in centre being run by Shelley Sutherland it’s something I definitely could see Pippa doing if she had stuck around as while Pippa was not social worker like Shelley was but since she had years of being foster parent and former nurse so she should been able to get qualified as being social worker as would be good direction to take Pippa character in given her career in something bigger then just working as school officer receptionist as I think eventually Irene still would taken over from Pippa job as school receptionist from Pippa even if Pippa had stayed as i think Irene was more suited to school receptionist then Pippa and once they found different direction for Pippa such as running drop in centre it would seem better for fit for Pippa character . As I say if Pippa had stayed we wouldn’t have had characters like Natalie and Shelley .

Ross Nixon killing both Colby's parents and hiding Bella from the real world. He drove Colby to killing him and Colby's eventual downfall. Marilyn's long lost daughter and Irene's rape even though they both rewrote the characters history.

I got to say Rose has done pretty well as she is two years in and has stayed pretty clean as cop but still not going to bet she won’t crossed line at one stage down track .

I thought it was a shame they did not make the Paratas a nuclear family by making Gemma a regular with Tane being younger so he could be Genma's son and Ari being older so he be old enough to be Tane dad and husband to Gemma.

Alf also runs the bait shop and gets money from renting vans to people. So therefore I don’t think Alf would get a pension. Wasn’t Roo meant to be a well off business woman?.
