  1. The auto is only smudging as it would have been lent against something or put straight in the envelope as soon as it was signing not allowing for it to dry first. It won't smudge anymore as it only does that first thing as auto is drying just like if you wrote something and accidently wiped your fingers over it.
  2. Well done. Was her fancard one of the new look designs we've been seeing or just the old one?
  3. This actually isn't a new address. As it's been around for ages. Both addresses go to the same place. As I've tried both previous times and both come back in similar time. Maybe they want people to start using this one to help with the flow of fanmail or something. But both addresses do work.
  4. Yeah go to that link and click on the kids carnival one. Then there's photos of the cast signed fancards and you can see the new fancards on the table. I want them!!!!
  5. Had another look at the Telethon photos and it seems all 7 of the cast member that attended had these new look fancards- although Leah's picture was different. But everyone else's was the same picture. Looks like we can all look forward to these new look cards.
  6. It looks like Esther Anderson has a new fancard. I was checking out photos from the perth telethon and she's signing fancards and you can see the enw card. It's the same picture in the old card but way closer up and that takes up the whole card (like side to side) then there's a white strip down the bottom with her name and stuff.
  7. ScreamingQueen2006: Wow. 5 in one day! At least we now know all 5 newbies reply to fanmail (for now anyway). Just which I knew if I had sent a letter to Lisa. I think I might try again today anyway and maybe try Ray again.
  8. Got a reply from Rhiannon Fish today. She sent me a signed fancard and a page long letter. Although signature smudged onto back of letter, but it's not too bad. I sent late July.
  9. All the older ones all have pre- printed signatures on them. It's only now that the new fancards (new characters) have no pre- prints. Like Marilyn, Elijah and John and the 5 new ones don't have pre- prints. And I think the current ones of the characters when they are printing out more they are doing them without the preprint auto. If you want to buy fan cards on Ebay you need to buy from trusted sellers- as then you know they are authentic straight from the channel 7 production office. Once you've been watching stuff on ebay for awhile and have been buying you know who these people are.
  10. I have an address for Jess Tovey. I tried it June last year with no reply, but probably worth a try again as she may sign now. PM me of you'll like the address. I also have addresses for a few other ex- home and away cast members who I've tried but with no success. Except Isabel Lucas. I also have agency addresses for some current actors that I thought might work for those who don't seem to reply through home and away address like ada and josh, but no success as yet.
  11. Btw, I take it you mean 4. You have 3 so far and are waiting for the Scott family to reply?
  12. Here is photo of all 5 new cast member fancards for those of you who haven't seen yet: Also today I received a reply from Charles Cottier. He sent a signed fancard and a page long letter answering some of my questions and letting me know mine was the first fan letter it's gotten. I sent it awhile ago, just after he appeared on the show. I thought I had sent a letter to Lisa Gormley when she first appeared on the show, but I checked my fanmail records I keep and it's not written in there, I definately wrote the letter but not sure if it got sent but can't find it anywhere. So that's a bit of a mystery. I guess I know in the next few weeks as to if I receive a reply or not. So out of the 5 new cast members 4 have replies so far. Come on Rhiannon Fish make it 5 out of 5.
  13. Will try to put up scans soon, but not sure when as really busy. In the letter Samara just answered a few of my questions I asked. If I get around to it I'll type out what she said.
  14. Got replies this week from Samara Weaving (Indi) and Robert Mammone (Sid). Received signed fancards from both, and Samara also sent me a page long letter, which I almost completely missed in the envelope even though the paper was purple. Think I was just so excited to get a reply I didn't bother looking if there was anything else in there. So all of you who sent to the new cast members have hope. Haven't heard from the other newbies yet. I sent the letters about a week after they started on the show.
  15. If anyone what's to look on Ebay Aus they now have the fan cards for Bianca and Indi- totally different to old fan cards. Can't wait to get my hands on these.
  16. Wow great new sort of look fancards. Hopefully this means those of us who wrote to the new characters might get replies now they have fancards to reply with. But as if anyone if going to outright pay $100 for handsigned ones. If it was an auction and people bid up to that price (which I'm usre they wouldn't) it would be a bit different. But guess if they can get that much for them good on them. Can't wait to see the other new character fancards.
  17. Lovely autographs from Ella. Loved her on all saints and have been trying to get her autograph. Could you possibly PM me the address you used, as I'd love to try it.
  18. John Palmer has a fan card- I don't ahve a photo of it though. Indigo, Dexter, Sid, April and Bianca are all getting fan cards soon. I believe they are in the process of being made as the yahoo rep on the official site said they'd be available soon. As for VJ he doesn't have one. Elijiah has one too. I don't believe Penn will be getting one as he's only a guest as it says in his profile on OS. I wrote to all these new cast members last week, so I'll post on here if I get replies. PLus if I happen to get my hands on any of the new fan cards- I seem to be pretty lucky with that for some reason. I can't wait to see what the new ones are like.
  19. Welcome! Alright so basically you can write a letter to any member of the permanent cast. The easiest way is to send your letter- with your name and address on the back of the envelope (like you would for any other letter) and send it off to the address I've put below. All the cast have their own fan cards, which you would have seen in this forum and will send them back to you signed or whatever they fancy. The thing that's great about sending to home and away cast is the production of the show pay for them to send the envelope back to you, even if you live overseas. Majority of the cast are very good with replying to fanmail. But there are some that are really hard to get. Take another look through this forum and you can get an idea of who's really good at signing and when people post their successes you may find out someone has started signing again etc. The thing with the letters is you have to be very patient in waiting for a reply. It can take up to several months to get a reply, but sometimes you could get one in just a matter of weeks. It all depends on the actors schedule, how busy they are and how much time they spend answering fanmail. So pretty much all you need to send to the actor is a nice letter, but just be sure to nicely and polietly ask for a signed fancard near the end of your letter. I always do. Then you're pretty much set. Have fun and Good luck. If you need any more help just ask on here as there are plenty of people willing to help. Also it's great to keep checking back here so you can see what success other people ara having and how long they have waited for replies etc. Here is the Address: ACTOR'S NAME HOME AND AWAY SEVEN NETWORK PO BOX 777 PYRMONT NSW 2009 AUSTRALIA
  20. That's a pretty cool reply. I love seeing ex- Home and Away people who still reply to fan mail about their Home and Away characters and signed Home and Away fan cards, even though they are no longer associated with the show. Nice wait though!
  21. Today I received a signed fancard from Amy Matthews. It took 198 days to get a reply (sent 19 Oct 09) and I'm so happy, as haven't seen many successes from her. She also wrote a little note on the back saying thank you for my letter. Also Shane Withington who plays John Palmer now has a fancard too. Someone has it up on Ebay if you want to take a look at it.
  22. Could you post of picture of Jay's fancard? Love to see it.
  23. Any chance anyone has a scan of marylin's fan card. Couldn't find it on Ebay. I've been away on holidays for last 10 days and got home to find a reply from Esther Anderson. So I received sometime between 8-16 April. I sent on 22 Feb 2010. So took between 45- 53 days. This is my third reply from Esther. I sent a magazine and poster and she sent both back and a fancard which she used to write a letter to me on. She wrote the reply the day before the Logies nomination breakfast as she mentioned she found out about the logies nominations "tomorrow morning." I love getting replies from Esther as she's my favourite.
  24. What are the chance of getting 5 replies on one day- would of thought they'd be 0. I would have been sooo excited. And good one on a reply from Amy. I haven't seen one from her ever. I got a reply from Rebecca Breeds today. Took 5 months. I sent her two posters which she signed, although one she signed on the wrong side which was weird. Plus she also sent me a signed fancard.
  25. Well I got my fancard back from cough "Todd Lasance" cough, also known as Emma Tuchin the office assistant. I really appreciate the quick response, I am grateful for that. However I am really, really, really disappointed. I received a typed letter saying that it's "great hearing from fans" and then a fancard with a printed signature of Todd on it. Now I've seen many fancards where they have a hand written signature on them, even some have said "best wishes" or whatever. I feel really diasppointed that I didn't even get a hand written signature. I wasted time going out and buying fancy paper, when really I should have used regular A-4 white paper, and I should have really just said "Hi, I am a fan of yours. Please send me a fancard, cheers thanks." Yep, I really should have written that. Instead of wasting more time, thinking of what to write. I shouldn't have spent time trying to write neatly. I even provided a spare piece of paper - just in case, maybe, just maybe I'd get a reply from the letter I had sent... So now I am offically let down by Todd as an actor. This is why I usually don't idolise or admire actors in TV/Movies....because it's a waste of time. The drug scandal (whether it's true or not) I was let down as a fan by that incident. But now.....I really can't be bothered idolising him anymore. I did however, send a letter requesting a fancard from Jess. So I guess I'll just wait and see how that turns out. I know it may sound ungrateful of me, but like I said at the start I do appreciate the speedy response. But I'd rather wait to get a hand-written signature or even a response (from the actor/actress) then receiving something from an office assistant. Because really...I could have printed it from the internet if I wanted just a picture with Todd and his name of it. Time and effort goes into some letters fans send to actors/actresses and you think you'd get something decent back out of it. Did you send the letter addressed to Todd or did you send it to the office assistant? As you only get pre- prints from the office assistant. If you did write to Todd if could be because he left the show already and they are not passing fanmail onto him. It may have nothing to do with Todd himself.
