  1. I just adore Morag -- she is one class act and what with her caustic wit she is not a lady to reckon with! I think this quote is one of my favourites.. "I'm sure some people will find your smart mouth amusing - but I am not one of them. You presume that tone with me again, and I will kick your spoilt, Gaucci-clad little backside from here to the other end of Summer Bay. And - if your father has a problem with that, I will kick his backside for letting you get away with being a rude, thoughtless little brat!! You got that!?" - Morag Bellingham Simply sublime! I loved seeing her softer side with Ross and am so glad she is returning.. cannot wait to see her in action again. b.t.w does anyone here remember her in Sons and Daughters as Barbara Hamilton - many many years back..?? *T*
  2. Yup. I loved the top she wore on Friday when she was in the diner with Leah. She seems pretty laid back about the wedding this time around! I'd kinda like for them to get married on the beach, that would be lovely! Laura i think June/July. I agree Laura. I love how Rachel has close female friendships in the bay. So many other characters don't seem to have close friends around their own age. Leah and Rachel are pretty much how best friends act in real life and that's really great to see! I love seeing them giggle together and talking about men. I hope we get more of that! I love her friendship with Martha too, although lately it's been of a very serious nature. I hope they have some fun together at the wedding, or planning it. Yes, their friendship is really warm and natural. I hope too, that the wedding planning is fun, and without too many problems. (after all it is a soap, eh?) Oh yes, btw thanks for the little welcome note - I appreciate that, being a newbie here! *T*
  3. Totally agree...but I think it's the ad-breaks that sponsor the show, so we have to live with it - In the USA the ad breaks are even worse...
  4. I am pleased that the writers are bringing in a storyline which involves a person with a disability. I hope that it is dealt with sensitively and carefully. However, I feel that the message here, maybe to bring to the fore the heavy responsibility it brings upon members of the family, in this case especially Xavier. Xavier is obviously very close to Brendan, but that in turn can cause many problems for Xavier, in so much that he feels a strong personal responsibility for him which in this case, hangs a heavy burden on him. After all, it is the *carers* life too…and for a young person put in this position, it is a double-edged sword. *T*
  5. Pregnancy makes some women very protective, and the constant touching/rubbing is a form of bonding and reassurance. It is also nice to feel your baby – I talked to mine and even played music – they respond with little movements and kicks! You also need to have a daily kick-count which is very important to all pregnant women. I agree that as she has lost a baby in the past she will be ever conscious of the movement and to feel her baby move/kick is reassuring to her. What’s wrong with that. Incidentally, pregnancy is different for all women – some manage to work right up until the birth (as in some native countries) and if her work-load is not too physically demanding, there is nothing to stop her from working until she feels the need to stop. (or is advised my her doctor – yes, even doctors need to see an obstetrician too!) Haha! Several of my riding companions have even ridden their horses (gently) up until the last month…or when they are too uncomfortable to sit in the saddle! Pregnancy isn’t an illness it is a condition which can be different every time! I am loving Rachel’s character, because it seemed for ages she was almost waiting on the sidelines…..
  6. Initially, i liked Hugo and he is quite easy on the eye - but I think he is a little *too good* and is maybe not what he seems. There is a lot going on in that head of his. Still waters run deep and all that... *T*
  7. Well, I'm here - (thanks Posy) but the discussion area looks pretty inactive...maybe I'd better start watching on Five again... back to the drawing board methinks!
  8. Hi - I'm a newbie here and this is my first post.<taking the plunge, so to speak> For starters, I just wanted to ask if anyone here on the boards ever watched McLeod's Daughters - the first three seasons? I keep thinking that Charlie bears a real similarity to Claire McLeod - (Lisa Chappell.) Can anyone else see the resemblance? Just a thought, anyway. I am really warming to Charlie's character now, and think after a slightly wobbly start, (well, she was a bit of a pain), she is settling in nicely and has become a welcome addition to the cast. I look forward to watching how the very interesting/sensitive issues are dealt with in her storylines due to be shown in the up and coming episodes.. I would have added links showing the Lisa Chappell/Esther Anderson pictures/similarities, but not sure if links are allowed and do not want to get slap on the wrist with my first post here! *T*
