I think it's a pretty sad (yet accurate) commentary on the state of the show that we're getting excited about Charlie & Ruby having a scene together in a few weeks time. There was a time when they had a scene together every episode that they were in and the show was better off for it. It's ridiculous that a mother and daughter, who used to be incredibly close, who have supposedly repaired their relationship and live in an incredibly tight knit community, never seem to spend any time together. So much for Charlie wanting to be Ruby's mum She isn't even acting like a sister at the moment, it's like Ruby doesn't even exist to her. Ruby may as well be her third cousin twice removed judging by the family bond that exists (or, rather, doesn't) between them today. Maybe if Ruby was a man and her name was Angelo she'd get more attention from Charlie.
-
The cynical part of me wants to say that they probably only did the mother/daughter storyline to separate Charlie and Ruby so they could push Charlie/Angelo ahead without having to deal with Ruby constantly being underfoot.
-
Of course they didn't acknowledge each other, Charlie was with Angelo.

Trailer for Kate's new short film, Dead Boring: It doesn't look like she'll be in it much though. . Stills:

Of course they're going to get back together, whether we like it or not. It doesn't matter how much people hate them together (TV Week recently asked whether they were better together or apart, replies came back 8 for together, 23 for apart. I'd say that's a pretty good representation of public opinion.) CW and co. seem determined to continue shoving C/A down our throats
-
Can we say it now? Because every scene that they had together tonight Angelo was the main topic of conversation, minus that brief interlude where they actually discussed Ruby's first day at school and Xavier. And even when she wasn't with Charlie, Ruby was still talking about Angelo!
-
Well, that Charlie/Ruby scene we got tonight was totally worth the wait The only purpose it served was to push the Changelo agenda.
-
I was just taking a look at the Red Dawn imdb page and noticed that Jason Smith's now listed as being in it as well. Kim, Robbie & Tasha all together again I can't wait for this movie.

Georgina Watson - Jaclyn Albergoni
luckyrabbit replied to MTerry's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
Watson should be running the cop shop. She's the only one there who seems to be able to competently do their job and follow proper police procedure. -
Of course they'll be discussing Angelo, Charlie's entire life seems to revolve around him now Red Ranger 1 I think people are blaming Charlie because last year she was so desperate to repair her relationship with Ruby but ever since the show returned she's acted like she couldn't care less about her. The writers are so obsessed with shoving Changelo down our throats to the detriment of Charlie and Ruby's relationship, which is a shame because her relationship with Ruby was one of the few redeeming qualities that Charlie had. Charlie and Ruby were both in the same room at (I believe) the same time tonight and they didn't even acknowledge each other. Ridiculous. So much for Ruby being the most important person in Charlie's life

Gee, I'm sure glad that we didn't get to see Ruby's reaction to her mother being kidnapped and almost killed by her ex-boyfriends brother Yeah, that would've sucked. This is why I hate that they've created this schism between them. Surely Charlie would've needed someone to talk to about how she feels about what Hugo had done, especially considering her former 'relations' with him and what that had cost her, and Ruby really is the only candidate (Charlie's not exactly overflowing in the friends department). But because they pulled this mother/daughter crap and ruined their relationship, it won't happen and we'll just see Charlie bottle it up and pretend like it doesn't bother her

ngl, the first thing I thought about when I realized that we were actually going to see Geoff give him mouth to mouth was how happy it would make the Gaden shippers on here

Uh, you can hardly compare Angelo shooting Jack to Jack shooting the girl. 1. It's been a while since I saw the eps but I think I recall that the girl was actually pointing a gun at Jack and he had no choice but to shoot, he was also on duty at the time. Unlike Angelo who was creeping around off duty, due to his already illegal activities, and shouldn't have even been carrying his gun, let alone firing it blindly into the darkness. 2. Jack stuck around and accepted the punishment for his actions. While Angelo tried to cover it up, left Jack there to be found by Tony and lied to his grieving family and friends while they cried on his shoulder. It's more than just the shooting that they're upset about, it's the deception and the fact that he got off scott free. They're well within their rights to hate him, imo.

May's personality does remind me of Zoe's before she turned into an evil lesbian the SB stalker. I suppose that once she finds out about Angelo's cheating she'll go on a murderous rampage where nobody important actually dies before it's revealed that Joey's her secret accomplice and they're promptly blown up by a cake. (No, I still have not gotten over that.)
-
I hope she kills both of them. That'd rocket her to the top of my favourites list.
-
It's pathetically obvious that she is a barely disguised plot device designed to inspire jealousy in Charlie and get her together with Angelo. I predict that as soon as those two get together, May will conveniently disappear. I don't particularly like her but I feel sorry for her.
-
Jarlie or not, I would've hated them together because I hate Angelo. He is a cowardly, shallow, arrogant manchild and I can't stand him. I hate that they insulted our intelligence by bringing him back (all the laws he broke and he got off with a fine? GTFO!) and I hate that they're setting him up as the new golden boy at the expense of other more likable characters. And most importantly, I hate Charlie when she's with him.
-
I meant that what you're going to see tonight is not going to be anything like those graphic (for this show) flashbacks that we got the last time they were together Just in case you guys are hoping for a repeat of that
-
I wouldn't get your hopes for anything like the last time they were together Thank god.
-
And will be sending others reaching for their sick bags. Yup, Angelo's such a great guy that he's going to cheat on his girlfriend. I'm no fan of May, but she clearly adores him for some mindboggling reason and is an innocent victim in all of this. Yet another person who'll be hurt because Charlie can't keep her legs together.

Since you've written a few things I might give them a look. I'm a sad pathetic unashmed fanfic lover from way back in the Star Trek Voyager days. Oh, I know. That was all part of the plan. Ruby runs away and ends up running into Joey, they bond over how Charlie f*cked them both over, return to the Bay as a couple and Charlie has a mental breakdown in front of the whole town...or maybe just in private, depending on how harsh I feel like being on her. And since I write under a different name, I might as well link you to my fics [/shameless self-promotion]
-
I think Charlie's head would actually explode. It would be amazing to watch. It's a fic that just might be written. I floated the idea on Twitter last night and got a very enthusiastic response. But I'll have to finish up my 2 other fics before I even begin thinking about starting another one.
-
Did Charlie ever suffer any consequences at all for her inappropriate behaviour at work? I remember Tall Cop saying that she'd be reprimanded but nothing more was ever mentioned about it. I guess that was all forgotten when Joey left too. Charlie's epic douchery makes me wish for Joey to come back and get with Ruby (am I the only one who saw something there?), who I'm sure is due to go off the rails. Then Charlie will continue to fail as a decent human being by arresting Joey for it, not because it's illegal but because she's jealous and is too emotionally retarded to express it properly.

I totally get why she's acting the way she is towards Miles & Kirsty. It's not like she ever wanted to go and live with them in the first place and they have never been particularly close in the past. Now they're trying to control her and tell her what to do, basically treating her like a child, something that Roman never did. Of course she's going to act out. Like I said before, Roman made a mistake in taking her out of her home and sending her off to live with Miles. She would've been better off staying with Ruby, Charlie and Leah, if he had to kick her out of the house. She truly knows (2 of the 3 have dated her father) and is friendly with all of them.
