    All Saints

I keep wanting to call Kip Gamblin Scottie, but I'm watching All Saints and I already have a Scottie on All Saints. It's very confusing I like his accent better now that he's been in England for a while. It sounds classier. I hope he doesn't lose it because his accent used to annoy me on H&A. I'm yet to form an opinion on Ella Scott-Lynch's character. I never bonded with her as Hayley so I guess I'll have to learn her actual character name. God. Poor Dan, listening to the voice mail... Not looking good for Ricky It's so sad that Dan is going to go out like this, all angry and antisocial... I suppose it's appropriate in a way, but he was such a funny, gentle, kind character... it will be a shame if this is the way people remember him... the character I mean... Mark's leaving us with some excellent acting...
  2. These two are just so frustrating >.< They'd be perfect together if they just let it happen. But no, Charlie is constantly suspicious and paranoid and biting Roman's head off over everything. Roman is too proud and defensive to open himself up even a little bit to Charlie... I want to shake them both I can't believe Roman broke up with Charlie because of what Nat said. Is he really not into her ? I suppose I can believe that, but I don't see why it has to have anything to do with Martha. The woman has cancer. She's weak and fragile and upset. That would bring out anyone's nurturing instinct. It's not unusual for Roman to want to take care of her and worry about her going away. And another thing. I didn't like how Charlie expected Roman to be on her side, or anyone else who lives with Aden for that matter. I'd be on Aden's side too. They don't have to live with Angelo. Fair enough if she wants to support him because she works with him, but I hate that this looks like it's been a trigger to a CaR breakup. Why does she have to be so self-sabotaging by accusing Roman of wanting to cheat on her so often that he starts to believe it himself and breaks up with her before it happens ?
  3. Another good update. I like possessive/protective Kim
  4. I don't like the way Tony allows himself to be kept in the dark and the way he lets Rachel do whatever she wants. This toxic waste stuff is a classic example. His daughter in law has cancer and Rachel pretty much knows why, but she let Tony find out through the grape vine. I can understand her not telling Martha and Jack, but Tony is her fiance. She's supposed to be able to talk to him about anything - and she didn't mind breaking doctor/patient confidentiality to discuss Joe with him when it suited her - but it's like she doesn't trust him to keep it quiet. I don't know, maybe she was trying to protect him, or she just assumed that he'd tell Jack and then Jack would tell Martha and it would all spin out of control. That's fine. But why is Tony so understanding of it? He gets this news - very important and devastating news which affects him very personally - and then let's Rachel run out as if her keeping it from him means nothing. It should mean something, but it's like he's so scared of losing her that he won't stand up for himself at all. And Rachel doesn't seem to care that it affects him either, she's just worried about how she will look if people find out from Colleen instead of her I wish Beth and Kate hadn't died on Tony. It's left him so timid and paranoid. I think we should change his nickname from HotDad to HotDoormat.
  5. The Interpreter. It wasn't what I was expecting. I'm not sure what I was expecting but... that wasn't it. It was very character driven and therefore engaging. I guess I thought it would be a whole lot of chasing after terrorists and shooting things up and "We'll protect you Mr President!" but it wasn't. It was good And the South African accents didn't even annoy me
  6. Ah young love. So sweet, so innocent, so exciting and romantic. Or else it's just an immature and insipid waste of screen time. You decide I like Jannie in theory - I think Jai's a great character, and Annie has potential as being amusing with her irritating little sister vibe, but they don't really DO anything. They mostly tag along with Ruby and Melody, who aren't that interesting to begin with. Kind of a shame. I think they could be better than they are, if the writers could just find a way to use them.
  7. Morag... hmmm. I'd be way out of my depth trying to sum up anything of her character from the early years, so I'll just focus on what I know. She's not technically main cast, but she commands so much respect that no one bats an eyelid when she takes focus for weeks at a time. But I don't think anyone would really want her to be main cast. There would be something wrong about tying a character like Morag down. Which is why I don't particularly like her being lumped with a dead weight like Ross Buckton, but I suppose it is interesting to see how a hard-arse dominatrix like Morag can mellow out and become submissive to the powers of love. Especially if you were never a fan of her snide snarkiness to begin with.
  8. Jackie! One third of the Holden trio - possibly the most shameless matchmaking device ever employed by the writers, brining in a family of three swinging bachelors who just happened to find an instant attraction to three of the bay's more lonely females. Beth died after a few good years with Tony, and Mattie ditched Lucas because he went a bit nuts, but Martha stuck it out with Jack - off and on (VERY off and on...) - through serial killers, psycho spouses, and now devastating illness. Aww... But that's a whole other thread. Jack's been the resident cop for the past three years, and while Charlie and Angelo are stepping on his toes a bit these days (poor boy has to stay home and make coffee because they just don't need him at the station anymore) he still looks good in the uniform! It took me a long, long time, but I like Jack. I think it's more to do with seeing Paul O'Brien's sense of humour coming through between the lines, rather than anything that's been written for the character though. Jack's... not the brightest spark. It is kind of endearing though, like one of those dogs who chases after a tennis ball, even though it never left your hand...
  9. I hated Martha when she first arrived. I didn't rate Jodi as an actress, and the character was doing nothing but breaking up my favourite trio for kicks (Robbie, Tash, and Kim) >.< However, it was nice to see a female character who was a qualified tradesperson, rather than being automatically stuck behind a counter serving drinks - either coffee or alcohol. Unfortunately, that didn't last, and she ended up working behind the bar at Noah's. Apparently the bay doesn't need an electrician anymore (gotta wonder why both Kim and Jai got themselves electrocuted fiddling about with fuse boxes then...) Jodi's become a much better actress since then, and therefore Martha, for me, is a much better character to watch. She first got my attention in the pole dancing storyline, which I know a lot of people hated and thought was cheap, but I really liked it. Not just because she was hot, which she was , but because Martha's vulnerability and hopelessness came through very strongly in Jodi's acting. I was blown away by it. The cancer storyline now is also being played out well.
  10. Generally, Tasmania's climate is crap. There certainly won't be much in the way of heat, chances are you'll be wearing a jumper most of the time. That's not to say it'll be cold all the time, there are warm days but being Tasmania, they'll be outnumbered by crappy cold ones. Hobart's average low and high temps in November are 10/19ºC. You can also check out this link to get some idea of what November is like in Hobart http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/200711/h...21.200711.shtml Usual Melbourne summer weather here, cloudy and 19C Thanks for that. I like the weather being at around 20 Frankly, I think colder weather would be a relief. It's going to be 36 here tomorrow
  11. In a word, today was FREAKINHOT! But that's not why I came in here. I was wondering if there were any Tasmanians around here? I'm going there for a week in November and I have no idea what the weather will be like. Does it get ridiculously hot down there? Or will it be strangely cold? I just don't know!
  12. Dawn of the Dead. It was the 2004 (I think) remake, so I was expecting it to be really bad. Not that I've seen the original. Zombie's aren't particularly my cup o tea, but I do like watching horror movies so I gave it a shot. I was glad I did First of all, Jake Weber - yay! What a pleasant surprise he was . Second, it was just a really good movie. Everything from the apocalyptic song at the start to the dog - it was really good. One minute I was complaining that the characters weren't doing what I'd be doing if I was trapped in a mall with certain death surrounding me on all sides... the next they were playing chess, shooting zombies for fun, and making coffee THAT's how I'd want to go out. I approve The other night I watched Queen of the Damned. I'd been avoiding it for years because I didn't want it to taint Interview With the Vampire - one of my all time favourite movies - but I found that it was completely different, so after a while the loose connection didn't worry me that much. Lestat was surprisingly acceptable and not too far removed from Tom Cruise's arrogant, narcissistic depiction. That's the main thing. Nowhere near as good as Dawn of the Dead, but watchable. Just. Although the guy might want to learn to mime if he wants me to believe he's a famous rock star who just happens to sound exactly like Jonathan Davis...
  13. The Caveman's Valentine. A queer little movie about a man (Samuel L. Jackson) who lives in a cave and thinks that someone sending rays of light out from the top of the Empire State Building is trying to kill him and/or control his mind... And then he starts solving mysteries about a pretty, dead gay boy. It was fun

Oh good, it wasn't weird between them. Well it was weird but not too weird. Charlotte: "Just forget about it. Well, don't forget about it - it was probably the best night of your life - but it's over. Don't worry about it." Hehehe
  15. This fic is bad for me. How am I supposed to get anything done with images like that in my head ?

    All Saints

I liked her scenes with Mike last night. Is Charlotte gay or bi? 'Cause if she's bi... I could have plans for those two, hehehe.

    All Saints

They totally made out It was very hot, and I would like to see it continue, but under the circumstances I don't think it will >.< They've been getting close as friends for a while, and today they had a fight about it when Charlotte suddenly decided to set boundaries at work. Then they got over it and went to Cougars, where Bron was reassuring Charlotte about a difficult situation with a patient and she started rubbing Charlotte's back. Charlotte told her that it would be better if Bron didn't do that, and then Bron said that she knows Charlotte's gay and she's not worried. Then Charlotte said "You should be." THEN Ben turned up with that nurse who's name I can't remember (her son is "Rory") and Bron got jealous and told Charlotte to kiss her, and then she kissed Charlotte to make Ben jealous, and then they left and ended up in a bedroom (not sure who's house it was) where Charlotte was taking Bron's shoes off because Bron was too drunk to do it herself. Charlotte was leaving to let Bron go to sleep, but then Bron called her back to help her take her earings off... very intimate... Then Bron was teasing Charlotte, asking "So how do you girlies do it, eh?" and then Charlotte laughed and told her to shut up, and then Bron said "Make me," and Charlotte did by kissing her Ah, no! Scratch that *wub!* They shouldn't be doing this! They were drunk! Bron was just getting back at Ben and Charlotte really likes Bron so she'll be so upset when she sobers up and realises that Bron's just using her >.< Why do you do this, Bron? Why must you sabotage every relationship you have ??

    All Saints

AHHHH Classic All Saints. What are you doing Bron!? And Charlotte!?!? You both know that this is... well, not wrong... it's VERY not wrong, but... not yet! Not like this! SHE'S NOT OVER BEN!!!!!!!! Too soon! Too soon I tell you! >.< Oh they're going to regret this... *Frets*
  20. My, my... Delicious. I could picture that... perfectly. I wonder if Robbie might be in a bit of trouble here. Kimberly seems to be getting very close with those teeth... Not that I think Robbie would mind. Mmm... Loved Kim being scared of the thunder and Robbie laughing at him - that was so cute Robbie rolling his eyes at Kim trying to scare him, hehehe. Robbie is so trusting...

Yeah, I didn't like that image. Very... suicidal. The screeching was unpleasant also EDIT: Joker... well, now that you mention it, it was a rather similar experience. Heath...

    All Saints

Dan... That was so hard to watch I am looking forward to the prospect of Dan and Bart teaming up to go on the road and solve mysteries though. It's practically Supernatural with medical procedures instead of demons. Is that the last I've seen of Frank's niece? I hope so.
  23. Aw, hugs. And bedtime shenanigans I feel like I'm being very superficial about this fic. But... it's just so pretty! If I could offer some criticism, I think this chapter needs some editing. Just a few wrong words here and there. And I would like these updates to last longer, but that's just because I can't get enough of Robbie and Kim The new banner is cool too

Yeah, Ross ruining my life again. He replaced Jazz as CEO I did see Julie. That was amusing It's nice having Scottie and Matt involved Incidentally, the thing with Jared is on youtube, the scene where it happens and then a follow up scene from another episode. Which is good because I'm going to miss the next two episodes because of effing uni >_<

    All Saints

Oh lord. Well I do tape All Saints anyway, so I guess I could watch Rush. But I won't like it Damn it Libby! Stop messing around with these other networks! Just come home to Seven Re Classic All Saints: the episode today... I'd heard about it for a long time and was always... curious... to see it. And now I have. I'm not going to comment on it on the grounds that anything I say could be held against me in a court of law, but I just wanted to make note of the fact that I can cross it off my to-do list. To-Do List: * See episode of All Saints where Jared gets "sexually assaulted" * Sexually assault Jared Excellent acting from Ben Tari though, I must say. I wonder if he'll turn to drugs again (DON'T TELL ME IF HE DOES!) They do like to... torture... the boy... >_>
