  1. The song that played all throughout the final break in Episode 71 was I Was Only 19 by Redgum. Redgum isn't credited — instead CBS Records gets credited.
  2. It doesn't matter whether or not they kissed, regardless of whether they were interrupted — it was the mere intention — makes no difference to whether they were "just friends" or "more than friends". It is sad that Samuels would have been dealt with differently now to how he was dealt with in 1988.
  3. They kissed on several occasions before (like weeks ago) such as in the science lab at school.
  4. Was Tom actually ASKING to be shot? Did he have a death wish? Was this some attempt at "bravery" so he could look good and look like a hero to everyone and try to get a bravery award?
  5. That sounds like around when Home And Away really "jumped the shark" (is that soap speak for "can never be the same again"?) In Prisoner, there was a major cast walkout in Episode 534 where several characters (including an important one who was with the series since Episode 91) finished and were never seen again. In Episode 536, many flashbacks from old episodes were shown as much of the episode was taken up by going over old times.
  6. This storyline (the Barlow storyline) is one of those storylines ( , I'll get to that when the time comes) where I would have loved to have more details about the storyline, such as: When did Sam Barlow become the arrogant bash-artist that he is (Alsa's story to "Pippa" shed few details about this, such as he owned a business then took risks and gambling, became bankrupt, and ended up as team leader on the road gang)? Why did Sam go bad? Was Sam mentally ill and what was this illness? Did that family have any friends? (hence the very small turnout at the funeral as Jeremai pointed out) Was Sandra an only child? Why did Sgt Barnett carry a live firearm into the violent situation? Was there an inquiry into this? Also, as to the writing, inclusion and the manner in which that storyline was played out: How did the scriptwriter/s put together the events, and what were the portrayed events based on? Did the scriptwriters have an agenda, like were they running or partaking in some awareness campaign against domestic violence? Why did they leave out everything from immediately after the gun blast at the end of Episode 65 to the burial at the very beginning of 66 after the recap? Why did they totally forget about Sandra after she was taken from Summer Bay, she was never seen (or even heard of, ever again)? Was Stevo "just friends" and how "just friends" if they kissed and the exclusivity of the relationship, but that is a bit of a different matter — the "love" thing is an elusive problem that pops up from time to time to time throughout Home And Away's life.....
  7. Also, when did Roo become pregnant anyway? Was that around Episode 49–50, the time Alf ranted and raved to Frank at "Pippa"'s house about decking someone when he was hoping Roo would come home peacefully??
  8. Here here! I am sick of Carly's sooky behaviour too! She is such a snob! . Did you see how Sam Barlow tried to suck up to the billiard ball policeman (Sgt Barnett) with his lies and cover-ups?
  9. I couldn't help but notice "Pippa" pretending to ol' Vera that she knew nothing about Floss & Neville's comings and goings, after "Pippa", Floss, Neville and Scott had that discussion earlier in the episode. Of course she knew or must have had some idea why Floss & Neville were driving out of the caravan park with all that luggage!! Did you like the way Alf exploded into laughter when Vera told him and Alsa that she had just told Donald that they were no longer going out?
  10. No? The only time he appears is when he is having a drink with Alsa??
  11. Episode 47: We first hear the details behind Stevo's pyrophobia, and "Pippa" pleads to Kerry Barlow to let Sandra see Steven (so much for a family feud I mean they seem to get along OK, not like Tom and Sam who want to punch each other up). Meanwhile, the "Nutter" seems to have good intentions for his lunatic behaviour, and .
  12. They still never showed any scenes of Barlow actually hitting Sandra or her mother. The closest we get is sounds of yelling and glass smashing, with Sandra being shown covering her ears in the other room.
  13. I find Alf's double-standards about town gossip and sticking one's nose into other people's business a bit strange. Alf explodes into flames when ol' Vera for gossiping about this and that about other people's business, but in this episode (42), he sticks his bib in himself by commenting about the time of day in which Barlow purchases his six-pack, then saying (in his own judgmental way) life is too short to be doing business with blokes like him while taking the beer back off him.
  14. I just checked the ending (the final scene before the credits, and at the end of the credits) and it exactly matches the scenes in my recording of the previous repeat. All of the scenes in question and the end of Episode 40 are both at the Barlow house. The Barlows are credited. Where is Alison Patterson supposed to be credited in Episode 40?
  15. You'd think that Carly blames herself for the enormous crime of hitch-hiking, and all that really happened was like she got badly beaten and robbed or something like that. Plus she didn't get pregnant, nor were there any bruises (visible at least anyway). It is rather strange.
  16. When they showed 2 episodes a day last time, they snipped the beginnings and endings off the episodes.
  17. I watched the first repeat run and couldn't wait for what I call the Real Pippa to join in , and still hold the view that the "Real Pippa" ( ) is better than the blonde, curly-haired one. ***SPOILERS FOR EPISODES DUE TO AIR IN EARLY 2011!, refers to last stages of major plot line so proceed with caution!*** (374) and (375). .
  18. What I can't understand is little Sally's persistent going on about this "Milko", politely referred to as her "invisible friend". Mrs Patterson at her pre-school said this kind of thing usually goes away at a younger age than what Sally was at the time. Does that mean Sally was retarted somehow? or at least abnormal? I have found in later episodes that like when moving to Summer Bay away from her "friends" or when . .
  19. Enough sunshine here to fool even the smartest Pom into believing I live in some sort of paradise — along with that sunshine is the heat that is going to be with us for at least the next WEEK.......
  20. Hot and windy (and a lot worse in Sydney, I hear.....) YUCK.
  21. Hot, humid and sticky. (Yeah, I'm all too aware the Poms envy us for our so-called "lovely climate" but the REALITY is, summers here are a living hell). You can't call 20°C "cold", especially when you're out in the sun......
