  1. I forgot to say thanks for that!
  2. What was the episode Pippa fell off her bike?
  3. I don't know but I really liked that saxaphone/piano music when he first put the CD on, but I suspect it was a Mike Perjanik piece.
  4. I expect it just wasn't part of their storyline plans. And perhaps also to give the actors some time off?
  5. As I no longer watch the current series, I'm guessing Watson isn't on the show any more? And what about Nurse Julie?
  6. Didn't they stop referring to it as "the Beach House" a long time ago? The current writers probably don't even know it's supposed to be on the beach.
  7. Yeah, is that supposed to be an old oven or something? (I know it's a prop and not real but still). I don't think I've ever seen Pippa or anyone so much as look at it let alone use it, considering it takes up one third of the kitchen. Surely Pippa could half the amount of time it takes her to make all those cakes for the Diner if she noticed it was there!
  8. Ah thanks. Well that figures. A criminal. Called Gunno. Involved with a Braxton. #post2011homeandaway
  9. Who was Gunno?
  10. What's the name of the song that climaxes at the end of the scene at the start of this video after Justine says "I came to see you" with a drum and electric guitar climax: It was used quite a lot for dramatic scene endings/cliffhangers around this period I think.
  11. It's not uncommon for actors to fib about their age by a few years.
  12. I think the reason she didn't last a permanent character in 1989 is that the writers actually made her too nasty. Jodlebirger is right she was a bit like a cartoonish villain at times. She was just downright horrible to everyone, and there wasn't really anything they could do with her character once she had alienated everyone so much that nobody wanted to socialise with her. Even in 1989 they did show that she had other sides to her character, as well as numerous scenes explaining that the reason she was so mean is because she was damaged/needed help. So I don't completely understand why the writers never went down that route instead of writing her into a corner.
  13. In the early years Morag was a cruel, nasty character who enjoyed making life unpleasant for others, but she was brilliant to watch and made the show exciting. In some ways she was most villainous character the show has ever had, not including psychos and thugs. Donald once described her as "the most despicable, vindictive, venomous woman I've ever had the misfortune to meet".
  14. I know the song you mean, but have no idea what it's called sorry. I know it was used in the episode of Chloe's attack in 1996.
  15. I don't remember saying that but it makes sense, she was largely forgotten by the show until Cornelia became famous again. There were plenty of opportunities she could have came back in the 90s.
  16. I think, especially when 1988-1990 was airing during The Early Years, there was a big resurgence in Celia appreciation. It's not so much that people remember Morag more than Celia, but she hasn't been a character of any real importance for over 20 years whereas Morag carved quite a niche for herself during the 00s which has been dropped by the writers much more recently.
  17. There was also a brief flashback in 2004 with Vanessa's Pippa. Yeah I forgot about the voiceover in 2000. Have you seen the alternate version on youtube with Debra/Kate voiceover? It's very good, I've watched it more times than I should admit haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R50IlGQy2vg
  18. After 2004 when Sally moved back into Summer Bay House, they stopped hiding Vanessa Downing from the show's history and put the original photos up without the face-editing.
  19. We've also never seen an onscreen relationship between Roo and Duncan. Could be interesting to explore, under different circumstances (i.e. different writers and producers).
  20. Poor Kate was always given the short straw as Jade. Hope she's happy whatever she's doing. Was Jade even mentioned during Kirsty (and Shelley's) returns in 2008/9?
  21. I feel sorry for Bruce Whateverhisnamewas. A decent actor, but Nick literally did nothing for 2 years but play dad to Shane.
  22. I completely agree Dan. The more I see the occasional clip or episode from 1997-1999, the more I can't wait to see that whole era again. There were soooo many good storylines during that era as well as some great unique characters like Joey Rainbow and Diana Fraser. I think the exit of Pippa overshadowed a lot of that for many people, but looking back now, it was still very much the H&A that a lot of people loved rather than what we'd get in later years (not making a dig at the current show, just an observation).
  23. We've seen some nice exterior shots of the Stewart Store recently in the early years. Do you have any info on that location Dan? Apologies if it's on the site already, I couldn't find it in the location section.
  24. I'm have vague memories of Angel saying she was either 14 or 15 when she had Dylan. She is standing in front of the window at the Ross house dining table at the time, and Pippa and Damien are present. Funny the things you remember. I guess we'll see in a few days if I'm right.
  25. Is it just me or does Simon Baker (the actor, currently on the early years) look so much like Peter Baker, the character? Confusing lol.
