  1. Episode 32 Stephanie, Tiegan and Nivea are chilling with Casey and their friends in Surfers Paradise. Stephanie: This is such a beautiful place. Nivea: I couldn't agree with you more. Tiegan: The beach looks awesome! Casey: It sure is. *Phyllis lights up a smoke* Phyllis: You girls smoke? Stephanie: No. Nivea: No way! Tiegan: I do sometimes when I'm really stressed. Kimberly: Smoking is so bad for your health, Phyllis! Phyllis: I really don't care, Kim. *laughs* Amber: *to Stephanie, Tiegan and Nivea* Phyllis moved here three years ago. Phyllis: I still miss Sydney though. Stephanie: Tiegan and I used to live in the city! Phyllis: Cool. Aidan: Who wants to swim? Nathan: I do, man. Simon: Same bro. Casey: I'm just going to get a suntan. *laughs* Stephanie: Count me in. *The boys race into the water as the girls sunbathe on the beach* (Back at the Carrington Ranges, Cherie notices that something is bothering Jeremy and tries getting him to open up.) Cherie: Are you okay? Jeremy: Not really, Cherie. Cherie: What's wrong? Jeremy: I just want to reconnect with my older brothers and younger sister. *starts to get teary* Cherie: Come here, Jeremy. *Jeremy and Cherie hug* Jeremy: I just want my siblings back together. Cherie: I know. Jeremy: But if I ever find them, I would have to leave you. Cherie: As sad as that would be, we can still contact each other. Jeremy: I know. *Cherie and Jeremy look at each other and then smile* (After the beach, Stephanie, Tiegan, Casey and Phyllis decide to chill out at Paradise Shopping Centre.) Tiegan: This is so cool! Phyllis: I know. I literally come here every day. Stephanie: Doesn't it get boring? Phyllis: Not really. Casey: Where did Nivea and Nathan go? Stephanie: They decided to go to the basketball court. Casey: Who knew your half-sister knew how to play basketball? *Stephanie laughs* Tiegan: Do you want to get the gang together tomorrow and we can go to Timezone? Casey: Sounds good. Phyllis: Girls, I'm going to Woolworths. I need another pack of smokes. Casey: Go ahead. *Phyllis leaves* Casey: Ugh. Get lost while you're in the shop. Stephanie: Casey? Casey: Phyllis does my head in. Just don't say anything, girls. Tiegan: Why does she do your head in? Casey: She always goes on about her friends and how much she hates her mother. She also smokes pot. Stephanie: Wow! Casey: And she brags about it on the bus or whenever we're with our friends. It's annoying! Tiegan: You don't say. *A few seconds later, Phyllis returns* Phyllis: Got my smokes. What do you girls want to do now? Casey: Eat. Phyllis: Good plan. *Stephanie and Tiegan look at each other, trying not to laugh* That afternoon, Pippa is in the kitchen when she hears the front door knock. Madge: It's great to meet you, love. Ian: Likewise. Madge: Where will I be sleeping, Pippa? Pippa: You'll be sleeping in Stephanie and Tiegan's room upstairs. They've gone up to Surfers Paradise for Christmas. Madge: I did get presents for them. Pippa: Madge, you shouldn't have. Madge: Oh, don't be silly. As my old friend Helen Daniels once said, "It's not about the gifts, it's the thought that counts." *Pippa smiles* Madge: I'm just going to have a lie down. That coach ride took forever. Call me when dinner's ready. Pippa: Okay, Madge. *Madge goes upstairs with her suitcases* Ian: She's a sweet lady. Pippa: Just don't get on her bad side. She's got a temper on her. Ian: I won't. *Pippa and Ian kiss* (Later, Nivea and Stephanie are talking at Casey's holiday house.) Stephanie: So, how was basketball? Nivea: Nathan and I had a great time. Stephanie: That's good. Nivea: I think he likes me. Stephanie: Really? Nivea: Yeah. Stephanie: Do you like him? Nivea: He is so cute. Stephanie: I think you should ask him out. Nivea: I think that's a great idea. *Stephanie smiles at her half-sister* (*Meanwhile, Phyllis is talking on her mobile to someone*) Phyllis: LOOK! I don't have the money now. Yes, I will give it to you! I just need a little more time! *hangs up the phone as Tiegan comes out* Tiegan: Are you okay? Phyllis: *lying* It was just people that like to prank others. Vivian: *drunkenly* Where's the toilet? Harper: *drunkenly* I love my friends. Rachael: I can see that. But why are Kay and her other friend in there? Policeman: They caused a scene as well. Vicki: I just don't want Cameron to see me as his foster mother, I want to him to see me as his second mother. I'm sure Suzie would've wanted that for me. Alison: I hope it goes well, Vicki. Vicki: Thank you. *smiles* *Alison smiles back* The next day (Friday), Alison arrives at Jenny and Brock's house to find the moving van parked in the driveway. Jenny: Cousin, you made it! Alison: I wouldn't be on my way to TAFE without first saying goodbye to my favourite cousin and cousin in-law, wouldn't I? Brock: When you get time and once we've settled in, come visit us in Adelaide. Alison: I'll try my best. *The removalist men carry the last of the boxes inside the truck* Jenny: Is that everything? Man: Yes. Brock: I guess this is goodbye. *Alison hugs Brock* Alison: Look after Jenny and the baby for me. Vicki: Tevita, I really need to talk to you. Tevita: What about? Vicki: It's about Cameron. Tevita: I'm listening. Vicki: I've been putting a lot of thought into this and I think it's best that I legally adopt him. *Tevita nearly spits out his chocolate milk* Tevita: What?! Vicki: I want Cameron to have a permanent home. He is like my own son. Tevita: Vicki, you're already his foster mother. Vicki: If I legally adopt him, he won't have to go through the process of going from one foster home to another. He wouldn't cope with it anyway. Tevita: Vicki, I like Cameron and everything... Vicki: But? Tevita: But I don't want to be a parent to someone else's child. *Vicki looks furious* Vicki: Suzie wanted me to look after Cameron! Tevita: I'm not ready to be a father just yet. Vicki: I knew you were against this! If you can't accept Cameron as part of the family, then you can go to hell! *gets up from the table and storms off* Tevita: Vicki! *Vicki ignores him and continues to storm off* Tevita: *sighing sarcastically* Great! (Dina and Nina are at the salon going through CCTV footage the day the salon was vandalised.) Nina: This has got to be where we can find the culprit who vandalised my salon! Sabrina: I'll take care of this, Janae. *Janae stands aside* Tyra: I thought we were family, Sabrina! But then again, you're just a retarded loser! Sabrina: Excuse me?! Tyra: I SAID.... *Sabrina punches Tyra in the face before tacking her to the ground and punching her some more* Tyra: OWWW! Sabrina: You want to call me names, huh?! YOU WANT TO CALL ME NAMES?! *Sabrina pulls Tyra's hair* Tyra: OUCH! STOP! Sabrina: I'll rip every strand of hair you've got! *punches Tyra some more* *Janae manages to pull Sabrina off of Tyra* Janae: Sabrina, she's not worth it. Let's go. We're done. *Tyra wipes her bloodied nose as Janae and Sabrina start to leave* (Meanwhile, Tracey and Imoska are in their French class having a conversation.) Tracey: Are you looking forward to tomorrow? Imoska: Yes, I am. I can't wait to go back to the city. Tracey: It's a pity Sabrina isn't here today. She would've loved today's lesson. 7. Episode 30 Jeremy is in Matthew's bedroom, looking out the window. Pippa enters the room. Pippa: Are you okay, sweetheart? Jeremy: I'm not going back there, Pippa. You can't make me. Pippa: No one is making you go back and live with your parents. Jeremy: Are you sure? Pippa: Yes. If you tell Miss Martin that you don't want to go back home and live with your mum and dad, then so be it. Jeremy: If only you knew what it was like. *Pippa sits on the bed* Pippa: Do you want to talk about it? Jeremy: Yes. Mum abuses drugs all the time. She mostly takes ice. Not only that, she used to beat me and my siblings up all the time. Pippa: What did your dad do about it? Jeremy: That deadbeat! He didn't give a damn! Pippa: How many siblings did you have? Jeremy: I had two older brothers and one younger sister. My sister lives with a foster family somewhere up north, while I don't know where my two brothers are. Pippa: That's sad. Jeremy: I know. Now, do you see why I don't want to go back to my parents? *looks sad* Pippa: Ian and I won't let that happen. But it's all up to you. *Jeremy hugs Pippa tight* Pippa: Are you ready? Jeremy: Yeah. *Pippa and Jeremy head downstairs* Leanne: Have you made a decision yet, Jeremy? Jeremy: I'm not coming home. *Julie looks shocked* Julie: No! *starts to cry* Jeremy: Sorry Mum, but I'm not going back. Julie: Jeremy, I promise things will be different this time. Jeremy: You say that every time. We all know that's a lie! *Julie is sobbing* Ian: Well, it seems that Jeremy's mind is made up. Julie: It's not fair! I just wanted to bring him home to me. Leanne: I'm very sorry, Julie. You tried. *Julie continues to sob* Ian: I think you should take your leave. Julie: No! *wails* Jeremy: Stop bloody crying, Mum! You're embarrassing! It's bad enough Alicia got taken away because of your pathetic drug habit! Julie: *yelling through her tears* I'm trying to change! Jeremy: You say that every time us kids get put into foster care. Well, you've lost all of your kids now. Hope you and Dad are happy! *Jeremy heads upstairs, just as Julie goes to grab him* Julie: Jeremy, please come back! *Pippa and Ian hold her back* Julie: GET OFF ME! I WANT MY SON BACK! Pippa: Look, Julie. Can you just go?! He doesn't want to have anything to do with you. Surely you can see that! Julie: Oh, what would YOU know?! You're just a pish posh foster mother that thinks she knows best! I hate you! Leanne: Come on, Julie. Let's go. Julie: NO! I'm not leaving until Jeremy comes back! Leanne: You're not going to help matters by carrying on like this, Julie. I know it's hard, but in the long run Jeremy is where he needs to be. Julie: *sobbing* You were meant to help me! Leanne: I'll take you home. *As Leanne puts her arm around Julie, she completely snaps* Julie: JEREMY! Please come back to me, Jeremy! PLEASE! *sobs* *Pippa heads upstairs and sees Jeremy sitting on top of the stairs crying* Pippa: Come here, sweetheart. Jeremy: It had to be done. *Pippa and Jeremy hug as Julie continues screaming out his name* (At the Carrington Café, Keisha is eating a slice of banana cake when Roxy walks in.) Roxy: Excuse me? Keisha: Pippa did mention that you know her from the days when she lived in Summer Beach. Roxy: Summer Bay. Keisha: Same thing. *Ursula approaches Keisha* Ursula: What did you think of the banana cake? Keisha: It was delicious, Ursula. Ursula: You're not saying that just because I'm friends with Steph, right? Keisha: I thought it was delicious. *Ursula smiles* Ursula: That's good, then. *to Roxy* Hi, you new in town? Roxy: Yes. I'm Roxanne Miller. I'll be the new principal at Carrington Ranges High from next year. Ursula: That's awesome! Roxy: I can't wait to get started. All I need to do is make friends. Keisha: You have me. Ursula: And me. Roxy: Isn't that sweet? I've made friends already. *Keisha smiles* (When Matthew returns home from the youth centre, he sees Julie sitting on the patio lounge still sobbing.) Matthew: Is Jeremy's mother STILL here?! Pippa: She's been sitting there for nearly two hours, crying her heart out. Matthew: Where's Miss Martin? Ian: She went to the bathroom. Matthew: I hope she gets rid of her soon. Meanwhile, in Surfers Paradise... *Casey is on the phone to someone* Casey: This is going to be so awesome! I just can't wait for them to come. It sucks that you couldn't come, though. Ian: You're joking?! Pippa: You know what's going to happen when Jeremy returns home. His mother is already an ice addict! Ian: Well, we were only supposed to have Jeremy for three weeks until the department found him a permanent foster home. Pippa: I know, but it seems that Mrs Bryant wants her son home for Christmas. Ian: Drug users deserve nothing in my opinion! Pippa: How are we going to tell Jeremy? *Jeremy and Cherie arrive home at this point* Jeremy: We're back. Cherie: What do you think of my hair? I hope things went well with him and his daughter. Sally: No, it's a Mrs Bishop. Pippa: I see. *takes the phone from Sally* Hello? Madge Bishop, is that you? I'm doing well. How are things in Erinsborough? Oh, that's good. The family is doing well. Are you still working at the Coffee Shop? Great. Listen, I'll have to come and visit you and Harold one day. No, I'll take the coach there. Well, it was great hearing from you. Take care, Madge. Bye-bye. *hangs up the phone* Sally: Who was she, Pippa? Pippa: Madge Bishop was friends with Nana Coral. She was like a surrogate aunt to me. Sally: I see. When was the last time you saw Mrs Bishop? Pippa: I think it was 1989. Sally: Nearly ten years. That's great. Pippa: I would go over to Erinsborough and see her, but Christmas isn't that far away and I've already made plans for the family. Sally: You can always see her after Christmas. I've lost my love for him after his fling with Gypsy. Tiegan: Gypsy is such a lowlife slag! Sally: Enough of about her, though. I'm going back to the Bay on Saturday. Stephanie: You sure about that? Sally: Yes. I have to face Vinnie sooner or later. Tiegan: Well, I think you did the right thing. Come here, Sal. *Sally hugs Tiegan* Stephanie: We're proud of you, Sally. Sally: Thanks. I better get dressed. *Sally goes upstairs* Tiegan: You went to bed pretty late last night, Steph. Stephanie: Oh, Nivea and I were up talking. We had a huge heart-to-heart. Tiegan: Where is she by the way? Stephanie: Still in bed, I think. *Tiegan gets out her mobile phone* Stephanie: What are you doing? Tiegan: Giving a certain lowlife slag a prank call. *laughs* Stephanie: Sally will kill you! Tiegan: Just defending my foster sister. *puts the phone on her ear* Oh, hi Gypsy. I'm just letting you know that you're a man-stealing bitch! Bye! *hangs up the phone* *Stephanie laughs* Tiegan: Funny, wasn't it? Stephanie: *still laughing* Yes. (Later, Keisha is looking through the real estate section of the local paper when Pippa walks in) Pippa: I'm going to head out for a few minutes. Are you okay looking after things here? Keisha: Of course, Pippa. Before you go, I want to ask you something. Pippa: What's that? Keisha: Are you okay with me reconnecting with Stephanie? Pippa: Don't be silly. Of course I'm okay with it. I mean, you are her birth mother after all. Keisha: How long has Stephanie been living with you? Pippa: She's lived with us for nearly two years. Keisha: I'm actually thinking of moving here to be closer to Stephanie. Pippa: I see. Keisha: Thank you, Pippa. Thank you for taking my daughter in to live with you. Pippa: No worries, Keisha. *Cherie walks in* Cherie: Pippa, would it be okay if I curled my hair? Pippa: I don't see why not. Why do you want to curl your hair for, sweetheart? Cherie: Jenny wanted me to curly my hair. Pippa: I see. Well, you can curl it. Just don't burn yourself using the curling iron. Cherie: Thanks, Pippa. *heads upstairs* Pippa: I better head off. I'll be back soon. Keisha: Bye. *Pippa leaves as Nivea enters from outside* Nivea: Mother? Keisha: Yes, dear? Nivea: Can I go to the Carrington Café with Steph? Keisha: Nivea, I need to tell you something. Nivea: What is it? Keisha: I'm thinking of moving here to the Carrington Ranges. Nivea: Really? *looks shocked* Keisha: Would you like to come with me and go house hunting this afternoon? Nivea: Can I please go with Steph? Keisha: Sure. Nivea: And then I'll come with you. *Keisha smiles* Ian arrives at the motel where Melissa is staying at. He has come to talk to her. *Ian knocks on the door* Melissa: Who is it? Ian: It's me. Melissa: *angrily* Go away, alright! I don't want to talk to you! Ian: Can you just hear me out, love? Melissa: No! Ian: Please? *Melissa opens the door with a scowl* Melissa: Come in. *Ian walks inside* Ian: I apologise for Tiegan. She had no right barging in here the way she did. Melissa: Some foster daughter you've got! Are they all emotionally disturbed?! Ian: If that's a smart comment, keep it to yourself! Melissa: Just what do you want, Dad?! Ian: Melissa, I just want to sort things out. Melissa: Do you? Ian: Yes, I do. Melissa: Why did you send me away? Ian: I couldn't cope at the thought of being a single parent. The way I was after your mother died, I thought the best thing for you was to send you off to Whyalla with Aunty Sue and Uncle Raymond because I thought they would give you a stable home. Melissa: You don't know what went down in that house. Ian: What do you mean? Melissa: *angrily* WHY DO YOU CARE?! YOU NEVER CARED FOR EIGHT YEARS, SO WHY CARE NOW?! Ian: Melissa... *Melissa breaks down in tears* Melissa: If you knew what I went though, then maybe I could've come home! Ian: What are you talking about? Melissa: A friend of Uncle Raymond's used to visit the house a lot. He would always touch me when Uncle Raymond left the room. Ian: Touch you where? Melissa: *sobbing* He... Ian: Go on, love. Melissa: He abused me! *Ian looks shocked* Melissa: I was always abused by him. I didn't deserve it! That's why I hated you for so many years, Dad. I just wanted to be home with you! Ian: Why didn't you tell me? Melissa: I didn't think you cared. Ian: I do, love. I always have. Melissa: I wanted to tell Uncle Raymond, but I was scared. Ian: Love, I'm sorry. Melissa: Dad, please hold me. *Ian puts his arms around Melissa* (Back at the house, Tiegan is in the kitchen when Keisha and Nivea are about to meet up with the real estate agent) Keisha: Can you let Stephanie know that Nivea and myself have gone out for a couple of hours please? 15. Episode 25 Stephanie and Keisha are sitting in the living room. Keisha: I cannot believe that I’m here with you right now. It has been so long. Stephanie: I know, Mum. Keisha: I’m very sorry for not being part of your life. I had my safety to think of. Stephanie: Did you think about Dad and Kibiri at all? Keisha: Of course I did. My heart broke when I heard that Kibiri died. I felt like losing your father all over again. Stephanie: Where does Nivea fit in to all of this? Keisha: I gave birth to Nivea two years after your father was killed. Stephanie: How old is she now? Keisha: 14. Stephanie: So, she would’ve been 4 or 5 when Kibiri was killed. Keisha: That’s correct, honey. Stephanie: I’m just glad we’re together again. Keisha: Me too. *Stephanie and Keisha hug* (Meanwhile, Ian is not happy after finding out from Melissa that Tiegan had a go at her.) Ian: You had no business to confront my own daughter like that! Tiegan: I was defending you. How she treats you is disgusting! Ian: You shouldn’t have barged into her hotel room and started ranting and raving. You’ve probably caused her relationship with me to drift further apart! Tiegan: Is this the thanks I get for defending you? Ian, your own daughter won’t let you see your first grandchild and he or she hasn’t been born yet! Ian: I appreciate you defending me, Tiegan. But Melissa will sort things out with me when she is ready, not when people force the situation on her. Tiegan: I can’t believe your defending her! Ian: I still love my daughter. Next time, can you please stay out it? *Pippa walks in at this point* Tiegan: Fine. *Ian leaves the room as Pippa goes to Tiegan and hugs her* Pippa: I think you did the right thing, sweetheart. Tiegan: Thanks, Pippa. At least some appreciates me defending this family. Meanwhile, Matthew, Cherie and Jeremy are at the youth centre playing pool. Cherie: So where’s your girlfriend, Matthew? *smirks* Matthew: Michelle is NOT my girlfriend. We’re just the best of friends. Cherie: Right… Jeremy: This is actually quite a good place to hang out. Matthew: Glad you like it, man. *They see Nahi walk in* Matthew: Oh, there’s that guy who wants me in the rugby team. Jeremy: What are you going to do about that? Matthew: I decided to join. Cherie: That’s great news. I’m so happy for you. Jeremy: Rad! *Nahi walks over* Nahi: Hey Matt. Matthew: What’s up, Nahi? Nahi: Just thought I’d come back and use the pool table. Cherie: That’s great. Nahi: *to Jeremy* I don’t think we’ve met, man. Jeremy: Nah, we haven’t. I’m Jeremy Bryant. Nahi: I’m Nahi. *they shake hands* Nahi: You play rugby? Jeremy: Used to. If only I didn’t stuff my knee up. Nahi: These things happen unfortunately. Well, I’ll see you guys later. Matthew: See you around, man. *Nahi leaves* Cherie: He’s hot. Matthew: I don’t think he would date a 12 year-old, Cherie. Cherie: And what’s THAT supposed to mean?! Jeremy: What Matthew is trying to say is that Nahi could be older than you. Cherie: That’s true. *Jeremy gets the eight ball inside the hole of the table* Jeremy: Yes! Looks like I win. *Matthew and Cherie laugh* (That night, Nivea is looking at Stephanie’s photos on her social network page) Stephanie: Nivea? Nivea: Oh, hi sister. Stephanie: Call me Stephanie or Steph. I prefer that. Nivea: Okay, Steph. Stephanie: Are you looking at the photos I uploaded? Nivea: I’m sorry. I just wanted to see photos of you from over the years. I hope that’s okay. Stephanie: That’s fine, Nivea. *Nivea points at a photo of Stephanie with Josh Anderson and a blonde haired girl taken in 1993* Nivea: Who are they? Stephanie: Oh, that’s Josh Anderson. He’s the one with the cute smile. Nivea: I noticed. Who’s the blonde? Stephanie: Oh, that’s Jodie Cooper. She went to Hartley High. Nivea: Did you go to that school when you were living in Sydney? Stephanie: No, I went Civic High. I did go and visit Hartley High sometimes on a Thursday when we had school sport. Nivea: Awesome. Stephanie: So, tell me about yourself. Nivea: I love the colour blue, I enjoy listening to pop music and I’m a huge fan of the LA Lakers. Stephanie: You watch the NBA? Nivea: Yeah, I watched it all the time in Africa. Stephanie: They air it here on Southern Cross Ten late at night every Friday and Saturday. Nivea: Cool. Stephanie: I’m glad we’ve finally got a sisterly relationship. Nivea: Same here. (Meanwhile, Sally is on the phone with Vinnie.) Sally: Vinnie, I need to talk to you about something. Look, I don’t want to fight with you! I just want to say something to you. Please, Vinnie! I think it’s best that we break up. Vinnie, you know why I’m breaking up with you. You can have Gypsy for all I care. I’ll find someone else that will love me for who I am. Don’t try calling me either. Goodbye, Vinnie. *Sally hangs up the phone as Pippa enters the room* Pippa: I’m sorry, Sal. Sally: Don’t be. I wanted to be the one to make that decision. Vinnie broke my heart by cheating on me with Gypsy. Sally: Sweetheart, come here. *Sally hugs Pippa* NEXT TIME ON LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY - Keisha looks at houses in the Carrington Ranges. Anahera: Well, yeah. *Michael gives Anahera a hug* Michael: Don't be jealous, okay. You're still my best friend. *Anahera smiles* After school, Grace returns home from school and completely ignores her parents. Beth: How was school? *Grace turns on the TV* Jake: Your mother is talking to you, Grace! I hope she does well. Sabrina: Me too. Tracey: How is Robyn getting to yours? Sabrina: Driving. Janae: It’s so cool that she has her own car. Tracey: I’m saving money to buy my first car. I can’t rely on using Jacob’s Kingswood all the time. Sabrina: What car are you thinking of getting? Tracey: I’m thinking of getting a Mazda 323 Protégé. Janae: Snazzy. Janae: Robyn, if only you knew what Tyra Bradshaw is really like then you would change your tune very quickly! Robyn: Why? Janae: She’s a troublemaker. I ended up punching on with her at Bellambi station because of what she did to Sabrina. Robyn: I’ve done the same thing when people picked on my best friend, Melissa. Tracey: Same with my friend, Nora. I stood up for her when those jerks in my year were mean to her. She can’t help having a disability. Robyn: Melissa has a disability too, but she’s in a mainstream class. Tracey: So was Nora, but she got moved to the support unit in Year 11 because they thought she couldn’t cope with the work leading up to the HSC. Robyn: Melissa’s on some program called Life Skills. Tracey: Nora was on that too. Janae: I’ve got ADHD, yet the teachers do nothing for me. Sabrina: Maybe if you didn’t be a bitch all the time… Janae: Shut up, Sabrina. *Sabrina laughs* Tracey: I’m looking forward to going to the city this Saturday, girls. Robyn: Going for night out? Tracey: No, we’re going during the day. We’ll be taking the train up there. Sabrina: Did you want to come? Robyn: I could use the day out. Sabrina: Great. Janae: It’ll be awesome. *The girls smile* When Tracey arrives back at the flat, she sees Jacob watching TV. Tracey: I’m back, sweetie. Jacob: Oh, hey. *gets up from the couch before giving Tracey a kiss* Tracey: I need to talk to you about something. Jacob: What is it? Tracey: I’ve been thinking about getting us a flatmate. Jacob: A flatmate? Tracey: Well, I was thinking that seeing as we sleep in the same room now I was thinking of letting someone rent out my old bedroom. *Jacob looks unsure* Jacob: I just don’t feel comfortable about having strangers living here. Tracey: I’m going to put an ad in tomorrow’s Illawarra Mercury. The right flatmate has got to be out there. Jacob: If that’s what you want, then I’ll just get used to the idea. Tracey: Love you, sweetie. Jacob: Love you too, babe. *they hug before kissing* (Later that evening, Abby is coming out of the shower when she hears something smash.) Ian: And she wants nothing to do with me anymore. Pippa: Oh, Ian. I’m so sorry. Ian: I tried to do the right thing and send her to live with my sister in Whyalla because I couldn’t cope when Maureen died. I was scared, Pip. Pippa: It’s not easy being a single parent sometimes. I know exactly how that feels. When Tom died, I thought I wasn’t going to cope fostering all the kids. But I managed just fine. Ian: And then we met. *Pippa smiles at him* Pippa: Well, you’re not the only one that has problems at the moment. Ian: I’m guessing you found out why Sally’s acting strange? Pippa: Yes. Tiegan filled me in on what happened. Ian: What happened? Pippa: Sal happened to see Vinnie kiss Gypsy at the Surf Club. Ian: Gypsy Nash? Pippa: Yes. That’s why Sal’s come to stay. She needs a break from Vinnie. Ian: Have you talked to her about it? Pippa: I’m going to wait until she gets out of the shower. You, on the other hand, need some rest. Pippa: Shouldn’t you be telling her that? Sally: I did. I just wanted to explain myself. Pippa: Go ahead. Sally: Vinnie and I have been having problems lately. I saw him kiss Gypsy at the Surf Club and we’ve been arguing about it ever since I confronted him about it. Pippa: Sal… Sally: I just can’t believe he did that, Pippa. *Pippa hugs Sally as she starts to cry* (Upstairs, Tiegan isn’t happy when she finds out how Melissa is treating Ian.) Tiegan: That ungrateful brat! How dare she speak to her own father like that?! Stephanie: Calm down, Tiegz. Tiegan: Why should I do that after our foster father is hurting so badly, Steph?! Stephanie: I’m sure Melissa had her reasons. Tiegan: Are you condoning her actions? Stephanie: Well, no. I’m just pointing out that maybe she felt abandoned by Ian after he sent her to live with relatives after her mother passed away. Tiegan: That may be the case, but it still doesn’t give her any right to treat Ian like dirt. Stephanie: It’s none of our business. Let Ian and Melissa sort it out for themselves. *Tiegan finds the card of the motel where Melissa is staying* Stephanie: What’s that? Tiegan: I’m going to give the motel a call first thing tomorrow. We’ll see how tough Melissa is once I sort her out! *walks out* *Stephanie looks doubtful* The next day (Wednesday), Matthew is at the youth centre with Michelle when several guys approach him. Nahi: You Matthew Conroy? Matthew: Yeah, I am. What do you want? Nahi: I heard that you’re a great rugby player. Matthew: Who told you that? Nahi: Your girlfriend. *points at Michelle* Michelle: We’re just friends, Nahi. *blushes* Nahi: Right… Matthew: Just what do you want, dude? Nahi: We know that you’re not starting at our school until next year, but we were wondering if you would like to join the under-15s rugby team? Matthew: For real? Cameron: We wouldn’t be asking you if we didn’t want you to join. Matthew: So, who are you guys? Cameron: I’m Cameron. Nahi: And I’m Nahi. These three guys are Jonathan, Ricky and Corey. Ricky: Hey. Corey: Hey man. Jonathan: Nice to meet ya. Matthew: And I take it you guys are on the team? Corey: We sure are. Matthew: I accept your offer. Nahi: Good. *extends his hand* *Matthew shakes Nahi’s hand* Nahi: Hope to see you around, man. *Nahi and his friends leave* Matthew: Weird. Michelle: They’re really nice guys once you get to know them, babe. Matthew: I know. It just came as a surprise. Michelle: You not mad at me? Matthew: Of course not. *they kiss* (Meanwhile, Tiegan arrives at the motel where Melissa is staying and knocks on the door.) Melissa: *from inside* I’m coming. *Melissa opens the door* Tiegan: I think it’s time we had a little talk, Melissa. Melissa: Look, if you’re here trying to convince me to talk with my father… Tiegan: I wouldn’t dare make you feel uncomfortable with that subject. After all, you hate him. *Melissa looks annoyed* Melissa: What do you want? Tiegan: All I want to know is WHY you hate your father so much?! Melissa: Didn’t he tell you? Oh, that’s right! He’s too ashamed to admit that he was a deadbeat of a father! Tiegan: Did you ever stop to think that maybe your father couldn’t cope being a single parent after his wife, your mother, died? The reason he sent you to live with your Aunty Sue and her husband in Whyalla is because he wanted you to have a stable home to live in! How did you repay him?! *Melissa doesn’t answer* Tiegan: YOU REPAYED HIM BY CALLOUSLY REJECTING HIM, EVEN WHEN HE CALLED YOU FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY AND FOR CHRISTMAS! Melissa: IT WASN’T THE SAME! I WANTED TO BE WITH MY FATHER, BUT HE SENT ME AWAY! Tiegan: You know what the sad part is? You won’t even let him see his first grandchild. Melissa: That’s none of your business! Tiegan: And you accuse Ian of being callous?! If there’s anyone that’s callous around here, it’s YOU! Melissa: Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?! Tiegan: A SELF-CENTRED BRAT! *Melissa goes to slap Tiegan, but Tiegan shoves her onto the bed!* Melissa: Get out! Tiegan: Don’t worry, sweetie. I’m heading out the door. *Tiegan walks out of the room, slamming the door behind her!* *Melissa looks despondent* (That afternoon, Pippa is in the kitchen when the doorbell rings.) *Stephanie comes downstairs as Pippa opens the door to find a woman and a teenage girl standing there* Pippa: Hello, may I help you? Keisha: Uh, yes. I’m looking for Stephanie Mboto. Is she home? Pippa: Yes, she is. May I ask who you are? Keisha: I’m Keisha Mboto and this is my daughter, Nivea. Nivea: Hi. *Stephanie looks shocked, sad and happy to see her long-lost mother* Stephanie: Mum? Keisha: Stephanie, come give me a hug. *Stephanie hugs her mother* Stephanie: How did you know where to find me? Keisha: Your friend from across the street gave me your address. Stephanie: And I have another sister? Nivea: Half-sister, actually. *Stephanie gives Nivea a hug as Pippa watches on happily* NEXT TIME ON LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY - Stephanie has a heart-to-heart with Keisha, while she tries to get to know Nivea more - Jeremy befriends Nahi - Ian isn’t happy when he finds out that Tiegan had a go at Melissa - Sally makes a decision that could change her future with Vinnie WHEN LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY CONTINUES
  20. Episode 61 That night, Tracey and Jacob are on the couch in an embrace. Tracey: I really missed you. Jacob: Me too. I’m just really sorry that I hurt you the way I did. Tracey: It’s not an issue anymore. Jacob: Does this mean we are back together or what? Tracey: Well… *looks thoughtful* Jacob: Well? Tracey: Yeah. *Jacob and Tracey start to kiss passionately* Jacob: That felt good. Tracey: It always does. *They kiss again* Tracey: Love you. Jacob: Love you too, babe. *they let go of each other* Tracey: Are you doing anything this Saturday? Jacob: Peter and I are going to some car show in Camden. Tracey: Oh. I was wondering if you wanted to come to the city with me, Janae, Sabrina and Imoska. Jacob: No offense, but spending a day in the city looking at stores like Sportsgirl and Supré isn’t my thing. Tracey: You’d rather look at Rebel Sport or Jay-Jays. Jacob: That’s me. *smiles* Tracey: And I love you for who you are. Jacob: Same here. *Tracey and Jacob kiss again* (At Sabrina’s house, she is on the phone to Robyn Masters.) Sabrina: Hey Robyn. I was wondering if you were doing anything after school tomorrow. Did you want to come over to my house? Sure. I can’t wait to see you. Okay, bye. *Anne enters Sabrina’s room as she hangs up the phone* Anne: You should be going to bed, Sabrina. It’s after 10 o’clock. Sabrina: I just had to make a phone call to someone. It was urgent. Anne: I see. Well, you should try and get to bed. You have school tomorrow. Sabrina: I’m well aware of that, Mum. I just hope Leah will be okay. Anne: She’ll make a full recovery. Dad will help her. *Sabrina just grunts* Anne: Sabrina, he’s still your father. Sabrina: I know, but he’s the one that walked out on us. Anne: Sweetie, come here. *Sabrina and Anne hug* Anne: I know you’re still hurting after so many years. Sabrina: You do? Anne: Of course. Sabrina: I think I might hit the pillows now. Anne: Good night, sweetie. Sabrina: Night, Mum. *kisses Anne’s cheek* *Anne leaves the room before Sabrina gets into bed and turns out her lamp* (Meanwhile, Janae is getting for bed herself when her mobile rings.) Janae: Hello? Imoska: Janae, it’s me. Janae: Imoska, what’s up? Imoska: Sorry to call so late, but I need some advice. Janae: What’s that? Imoska: Well, I have this friend that wants to catch up with her ex-boyfriend but she feels it would be too awkward for her. What should I say to her? Janae: You should say to this Bryant guy that you feel it would be too awkward to chill together because you guys dated. Imoska: How did you know I was talking about me and Bryant? Janae: I’m not that stupid, Imoska. I knew what you were talking about. Imoska: Oh. Thanks for the advice, Janae. See you tomorrow. Janae: See you then. Bye. *hangs up the phone* Sarah: *from the hallway* Janae Rose, off the phone! Janae: I’m off it now! Sarah: Don’t be cheeky! *Janae just gets into bed and ignores her mother* The next morning (Wednesday), Tracey and Jacob arrive at school holding hands, much to everyone’s surprise. Sabrina: Well, look at this. It seems that the hottest couple at Warrawong High has got back together. Tracey: That’s right, Sabrina. Peter: That’s great. I’m so happy for you guys. Janae: There is a god after all! Jacob: Thanks guys. Imoska: We’re just glad you two are back to being all lovey-dovey with each other. Tracey: Let’s show them what we were doing last night, babe. Janae: Keep it in your pants, please! Jacob: No, not that. This. *Tracey and Jacob do an eskimo kiss* Sabrina: Rightio. Imoska: So adorable. Peter: That’s so cool. I’d prefer you guys actually kissed, though. Janae: Peter! *slaps his arm* Peter: Just saying. *laughs* *the bell rings* Sabrina: Let’s go. I don’t want to be late for roll call again. *Tracey and Jacob watch their friends leave* Jacob: We should go after them. Tracey: Yeah, we should. But first… *Tracey and Jacob kiss passionately* Jacob: That felt good. Tracey: I agree. *Tracey and Jacob head to roll call* (At Fitness First, Nathan is continuing to be a jerk to Cam and Abby.) Nathan: You want to interfere in my business, then you can both do a thousand push-ups! Cam: Excuse me; you’re the one that hit your own girlfriend! Abby and I were consoling her after yesterday’s little performance! Abby: Yeah, you make us sick! Nathan: DO THE PUSH-UPS NOW! Abby: You know what?! Get stuffed! I actually thought you were a nice guy, but you’re just a macho pig! Cam: An abusive pig at that! Nathan: Just go away! Cam: I’m going to get changed. *Once Cam heads to the change rooms, Nathan grabs Abby’s arm* Nathan: I’m a macho pig, aye?! Abby: Let go of me! Nathan: You are going to regret calling me that! *Abby looks scared and tries to break free* Abby: Let go of my arm! You’re hurting me! Nathan: I don’t care! *Abby continues to look scared* (Later, Tracey and her friends are on their lunch break when Cam races over to them.) Cam: Guys, I’m sorry to come to your school but it’s an emergency. Tracey: What’s wrong? Cam: Come into the office. *Tracey, Jacob, Peter, Janae, Sabrina and Imoska follow Cam to the office where Abby is sitting on a chair, sporting a busted lip and some bruises on her arm* Janae: Cuz, what happened to you? *Abby is sobbing* Cam: Do you want me to tell them what happened? *Abby nods her head while crying* Cam: Our personal trainer hit her. Janae: You’re joking?! *looks angry* *Peter puts his arm around Abby* Peter: Did he do that do you?! Abby: Y-y-yes. *A fuming Peter storms out* Jacob: Peter, wait man! Peter: WHAT’S HIS NAME?! Cam: Nathan. Peter: HE’S A GONER! *storms out* Tracey: I’ve never seen Peter this angry before. Sabrina: Oh, he’s lost his temper before. Last year, he told Deborah O’Shea to f**k off during Maths. Janae: I remember that. Deborah cried like a bitch. Tracey: Why’d he lose it for? Jacob: Deborah was saying something about the locals in Cabramatta and Peter got really p***** off at her. Sabrina: He got right in her face too. Imoska: That Nathan guy is such a jerk! Tracey: I agree. Abby: Thanks everyone. It’s his girlfriend that you all should be worrying about too. Jacob: Why’s that? Abby: He hits her too. Janae: Dog! (Peter waits outside Fitness First for Nathan to come out.) *Nathan comes out and Peter storms over to him* Peter: Are you Nathan? Nathan: Yes, I… *Peter punches Nathan right in the face, causing him to fall on the ground* Peter: DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND AGAIN, YOU GUTLESS WONDER! 21. Episode 23 An awkward silence transcends as Melissa is still standing outside. Melissa: Well, aren’t you gonna let me in? Ian: Come in, then. *Melissa walks inside* Melissa: I see you’ve replaced Mum with another woman. *looks up and down at Pippa in a disgusted manner* Pippa: Who are you? Melissa: I’m Melissa Routledge. I happen to be Ian’s daughter. Pippa: Oh. Well, it’s nice to meet you. Melissa: It’s a shame that my mother died. If she was still alive, her and Dad would still be married. Ian: Melissa, what are your reasons for being here? You haven’t spoken to me for years. Melissa: There was a reason for that! Ian: And what was that? Melissa: After Mum died, you sent me away! Ian: It wasn’t like that, love. Melissa: You sent me to live with relatives in Whyalla and I hardly heard from you! Ian: Love, I was grieving the loss of your mother. Melissa: For 20 years?! Mum’s been gone for eight years, Dad! Ian: I know, but I still called you for your birthday and Christmas. Melissa: IT WASN’T THE SAME! Pippa: I think I better leave. Melissa: *rudely* Good. You do that! Ian: Melissa! Don’t be rude to Pippa please! Melissa: Oh, is that her name?! Ian: I expect you to treat her with respect! Melissa: So that’s it, huh? You’re replacing Mum. I just knew it! Aunty Sue was right when you and this Pippa woman were planning on getting married! Ian: Love, I’m not replacing your mother. I still love her, but she’s gone now. Pippa is the woman I love now. Melissa: I hate you. *gets teary* Ian: Melissa… Melissa: I HATE YOU, DAD! YOU’VE REPLACED MY MOTHER AND YOU SENT ME AWAY AFTER SHE DIED BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T STAND THE THOUGHT AT BEING A SINGLE FATHER! YOU RUINED MY LIFE AND I HATE YOU FOR IT! Ian: Melissa, wait. *Melissa storms out of the house in tears* Ian: Melissa! *Ian looks frustrated as Melissa slams the front door* Pippa: Ian? *Ian looks at Pippa* Ian: I never knew my own daughter resented me, Pip. *Pippa hugs Ian* (Across the street, Stephanie is at Ursula’s house.) Ursula: So, tell me more about your mother. Stephanie: All I know about her is she fled Somalia after the massacre that killed my father. Kibiri and I stayed until she was killed in that massacre at the school she taught. That’s how I got sent to England to live with that doctor. Ursula: That’s where we met. *smiles* Stephanie: And became friends, that’s right. *smiles back* Ursula: Then, I moved to London shortly before you arrived in Australia after the doctor passed away. Stephanie: That’s right. I then lived in Brisbane for a few months in 1990 before I moved to Sydney, where I lived with another foster family until early 1996 when I moved to Summer Bay. Ursula: Why did you leave the foster family in Sydney? Stephanie: This girl, Heather, was being racist towards me. So, I decided to find myself a new foster home. Heather was also a compulsive liar. Ursula: Bitch! Stephanie: You got that right. Anyway, I’m hoping to see my long-lost mother actually. She’s got A LOT to answer for! Ursula: I don’t blame you for being mad. Stephanie: I’m not mad, just hurt and upset. *Ursula puts her arm around Stephanie* (Back at the house, Tiegan is still whining about not being chosen to host the Gladiators Ashes series.) Tiegan: They should’ve picked me! I mean, I’m getting really good at hosting Gladiators as it is. *Already having enough on her plate, Sally loses it* Sally: WHO CARES IF YOU DIDN’T GET PICKED TO HOST IT, TIEGAN?! IT’S A TV SHOW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Tiegan: Sally, why are you yelling at me?! Sally: BECAUSE YOU’RE BEHAVING LIKE A SPOILED BRAT! *Pippa races over* Pippa: Sal, what’s going on? Sally: Tiegan being Miss Selfish as usual! Pippa: You’re not okay, are you? Sally: Just leave me alone! *Sally runs upstairs* Tiegan: I did nothing to set her off, Pippa. I’m being honest. Pippa: What’s going on with Sally? Tiegan: Beats me. Pippa: Tiegan, I have a feeling Sally’s told you and Stephanie something. I’d like to know what it is so perhaps I can resolve what’s going on. Tiegan: I promised Sal I wouldn’t say anything. Pippa: *sternly* Tiegan Brook. *Tiegan sighs* Tiegan: Sally came to stay here because she wanted to get away from Vinnie. Pippa: Did they break up? Tiegan: No. However, she saw him kiss Gypsy Nash at the Surf Club. They’ve been having major arguments because of it. Pippa: Oh no. Tiegan: That’s why she’s been so edgy. Pippa: I’ll talk to her about it. *Both Pippa and Tiegan look worried* At a motel in town, Melissa is talking on her mobile. Melissa: Years of frustration just came out when I saw Dad. I just lost it. *the door knocks* Melissa: Can I call you back? Someone’s at the door. All right. Bye. *hangs up* *Melissa opens the door to find Ian standing there* Melissa: What do YOU want?! Ian: We need to talk, Melissa. Melissa: How did you find out where I was staying? Ian: You dropped the motel card as you were leaving. Melissa: Well, I don’t want to talk to you. I said what I needed to say. Ian: We have unresolved issues that we need to sort out. Melissa: Like what? How you shipped me off to Whyalla after Mum’s funeral? Yeah, great father you were! *looks angry and sad* Ian: I didn’t want you to see me struggle without your mother being gone. I was lonely for seven years and then I met Pippa. I finally found love again. She was a widow as well. Melissa: It still doesn’t change the fact that you abandoned me! You never cared about me! Ian: That’s not true, love. Melissa: I bet you don’t even care that I’m pregnant and carrying your first grandchild! Ian: What are you saying, Melissa? Melissa: I’M PREGNANT! *Ian looks shocked as Melissa sits on the bed* Ian: Love, I don’t know what to say. Melissa: Try ‘congratulations’! Ian: Congratulations. Melissa: Just because I’m expecting your first grandchild, doesn’t mean you’ll be seeing it after I give birth to him or her! Ian: Melissa… Melissa: You abandoned me after Mum died and now I’m going to do the same to YOU! Ian: There’s no need for that, love. Melissa: Yes, there is. Ian: I’m sorry you feel that way. Melissa: The damage has already been done. You’re eight years too late, Dad! Now, get out! *Ian stands there* Melissa: GET OUT! *A dejected Ian leaves as Melissa starts to cry* NEXT TIME ON LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY - Sally opens up to Pippa about her problems - Tiegan confronts Melissa about her resentment towards Ian - Matthew is asked to join the under-15s rugby team - Stephanie receives a surprise WHEN LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY CONTINUES

Kay: I caught the train and bus. Thanks for letting me stay with you. Rachael: You’re welcome. Kay: Would it be okay if I went late night shopping tonight? Rachael: Where are you going to go? Kay: Westfield Liverpool with some friends from school. Rachael: I have a gut feeling about you catching the train on your own at night. Kay: I’ll be okay, Rach. Rachael: Just don’t come home too late. You have to go to school tomorrow. Kay: I know. *smiles* Rachael: I’m just making sure. Kay: Where am I going to sleep? Rachael: I’ll show you to your room. *Kay follows Rachael inside before they head upstairs* Rachael: Here’s your room. Kay: Looks nice. Rachael: I hope your parents have a great time in Hong Kong. But you can always come visit me. Hopefully, I’ll be at uni next year. *Skye continues to gurgle* Alison: I love you, Skye. And I love Mav and Kim too. *Alison puts Skye on her shoulder before patting her back gently* Alison: I’m sure you’ll grow up being successful in life. *Skye gurgles* (At Alexis’s house, she is arguing with Riggot over Mareta.) Alexis: I’m not talking to your sister and that’s that! Riggot: I just want you and her to talk again. Alexis: Two words…NOT HAPPENING! Riggot: Now you’re being unreasonable. Alexis: I’M unreasonable?! No, what your sister did to Donna Maynard was unreasonable AND unacceptable! Riggot: Do you think she’s not upset about the whole Donna situation? Well, she is. Alexis: She brought on herself for being a bitch to her best friend! Riggot: Lexi… Alexis: I would never treat Sumara like that. We would actually talk it over first! Riggot: Can you please talk to my sister? I just want this stuff sorted out. Alexis: What you want and what I want are two entirely different things, Riggot. Riggot: So, you’re not going to talk to her? Alexis: That’s right! *crosses her arms before delivering a haughty look* *Riggot sighs angrily before leaving. When he returns home, he delivers the bad news to Mareta* Riggot: She wouldn’t budge. Mareta: Great! *looks sad* Riggot: Don’t worry. I’m not giving up. I’m going to make sure that you and her talk again. Mareta: You would do that for me? Riggot: Of course I would. I’m your brother. Mareta: Thanks. *Riggot hugs Mareta* Riggot: Love you, sis. Mareta: You too, bro. The next morning (Friday), Alison is packing up the car. She is getting ready to return to the city. Alison: I hope to see you around Christmas. Mav: That’s not until December. Alison: I know. *laughs* Kim: We’re gonna miss you again, Ali. Alison: And I’ll miss you all again, too. *Alison hugs both Mav and Kim before kissing Skye gently on her forehead* Alison: Goodbye, little sis. I’ll see you again soon. Helen: Bye, love. Tiegan: It’s about your mother, isn’t it? Stephanie: Yes, it is. That letter has really upset me. Tiegan: May I ask why? Stephanie: I haven’t heard from her in years. I thought she was dead and now she wants me to see her? That makes no sense. *cries* *Tiegan hugs Stephanie* Tiegan: Deep down you really want to see her, don’t you? *Stephanie wipes away her tears and nods her head* Stephanie: But I don’t want to go to Africa. Tiegan: I hear it’s very hot down there. Stephanie: Not only that, but I don’t want to go there. What if there’s another massacre there? Tiegan: We could get your mother to come down here. Stephanie: Good luck with that. Tiegan: Whereabouts in Africa does your mother live? Stephanie: It said she lives in Cape Town. Tiegan: I see. Well, I hope you get in touch with your mother. It seems you have a lot of questions for her. Stephanie: Thanks, Tiegz. *Tiegan and Stephanie kiss on the cheek* Tiegan: Good night. Stephanie: Good night. *Tiegan leaves the room* (Early the next morning, Sally is on the sofa watching Aerobics Oz Style.) *Pippa comes downstairs* Pippa: Sweetheart, what are you doing watching TV at 6:30am? Sally: I wanted to watch some TV. Pippa: Turn it off, please. *Sally turns the TV off* Pippa: Is something bothering you? Sally: No. Why do you ask? Pippa: Just asking. You know I don’t like to see you upset. Sally: Thanks. Pippa: I’ll head back upstairs. *As Pippa heads upstairs, Sally looks at a photo of her and Vinnie* Sally: *to herself* Why did you kiss Gypsy for? *Sally cries silently* (Later, Jeremy and Cherie are out the front yard having a heart to heart.) Cherie: So, why’d you get fostered out? Jeremy: Mum’s drug use got out of hand. Cherie: Oh. Jeremy: Are you living with Pippa and Ian permanently now? Cherie: Yes. I’m so glad to be away from Mum and Dad. I couldn’t take their physical and mental abuse anymore. Jeremy: For a 12 year-old girl, you’ve been through a lot. Cherie: I sure have. Jeremy: I just wish I could stay here, but it’s only temporary. Cherie: I know. Three weeks isn’t that long. Jeremy: At least I got to see you. You’re like a sister to me, Cherie. Cherie: You’re like a brother to me too, Jeremy. *Jeremy and Cherie put their arms around each other as Tiegan storms up the driveway* Tiegan: Some people are so rude! Cherie: What’s wrong? Tiegan: I just found out that I won’t be hosting the Gladiators Ashes series next year. Cherie: So? Tiegan: I’m just so angry that they gave the female co-hosting role to that British woman. I’m a good presenter too. Jeremy: Maybe you’ll co-host it next year. *Tiegan heads into the house* Cherie: That girl is so competitive. *Jeremy just laughs* That afternoon, Pippa and Ian are talking about Sally. Pippa: I’m really worried about her, Ian. Ian: So am I. Pippa: I found her watching Aerobics Oz Style this morning. It looked like she hardly had any sleep. Ian: Plus, she’s hardly eating.
