Anyone hear taxiride counting down the days? Not sure it was every used in the show but by George it's a beautiful song

Wonder who owns the rights or who has Sia' ps how to breathe. Her acapella performance is everywhere on the internet but there is a full recorded version with music that was relentlessly played in the show in the month leading up to Travis and Rebecca's wedding. It's impossible to find though

Morag Bellingham - Cornelia Frances

Wonder if her first husband richard is still alive. I guess there was potential to have a storyline with him over decent years -

Does anyone remember when Morag said she was worried that there wouldn't be anyone at her funeral. If the did to a funeral ep with returning character imagine how good it would be if that was referred to by Alf or shown in a montage. Alf saying something like you needn't of worried. That's the sort of continuity that I want -

It really would be wonderful to acknowledge it In the show with a full episode. A send off for Morag. And let it be the sole storyline. A really well written episode with nothing else dramatic to distract. -

I realise that. I'm saying it's a shame that the last few stints Morag had, very little was to do with her character and that she wasn't in it more over the years. -

Disappointed Morag last appearances was nothing to do with her and she never got a proper send off. Or that she wasn't used enough like Cornelia wanted to be. Now we'll never see her again. -
Thank you Dan

Does Anyone know the song played when Shauna leaves originallyin 2001?
-
Yes, I loved the bait shop and beachside diner area but there was a scene one with a Travis and Rebecca having breakfast on their new balcony and you could see all those building along collaroy beach front

I think the show did a great job of making it all look like it was the same place. Especially the second and third ones.

Amazing info there Dan. Thank you once again

Marilyn Chambers - Emily Symons

It's not that we need to lose a emily. It's that the writers need to find Marilyn again -
Greg Marshall - Ross Newton
Blaxland 89 replied to Blaxland 89's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
I thought Greg was an interesting character and played well. Perhaps there could have been more to explore with that character post Bobby If it was the current show he would vow revenge on Adam burning his house down or something and turn into an oppsessed psycho -
Thanks Dan. Would the scene that involved angels crying at the sight of her house in a rubble be at a different location? Or was that actually really what was left over from a demolishion job do you think?

No she was well and truly over him by then -

Matt and Carly ended as she treated him badly when she was drinking heavily and I guess his feelings changed. When she was trying hard to give up the booze he felt bad and continued the relationship but by then his feelings had gone. He came clean as he realised the kindness thing to do for Carly was to be honest. Later on in the series she seems far to grown up for him. As Matt seems to regress as the show went on. -

Ok. But remember this is just a personal opinion and some examples I can think of. I'm not saying I'm right but it's just how I saw it. Apart from the examples I think in general he had some very outdated views on marriage even in 1990. 1. Threatening to call of the marriage if it was in summer bay. He didn't in the end so I see this as being manipulative. Saying there was no way his family could travel over which was a blatant lie. And he didn't even asked. Just assumed that it would happen and all the fletchers would leave to go. 2. Through their time, the way he went on and on about her having children. Even when she was clear she didn't want to have them yet. Making her feel bad. 3, Once she innocently spoke to some one about a problem. He said she shouldn't discuss things to anyone. Shouting out her loudly and slammed his fist on the table. Ordering her not to do it. If you can get chance to see it again to. He was being very intimidating. Yet he spoke about Carly to people all the time. Bearing in mind Carly was abused as a child. Something they all seem to forget when it comes to they way they treat her but her husband never seemed bothered. 4. If she bought things he'd make her take things back as too expensive. But he didn't consulte her. Or Pippa for that matter in buying keeping a goat on her land. 4b. Again, and Pippa is partly to blame. Goin on and on at her about seeing her nan even though she repeatedly said she didn't want to. Then, ended up going against her back and putting something in the paper I believe? If that was the other way round he would have gone ballistic. 5. She didn't want to live on farm and she knew this would make her unhappy. Yet, despite this he made her feel like she was so selfish not doing what she wanted he again wore her down. Including setting up that meal and trying to get the owners to persuade her. When that didn't work he did the poor me routine. Then it ended up just being the shed and guess what. The manipulating sod didn't tell her until it was too late. 6. Despite all this he then joined the army again after Carly had done everything he wanted. We didn't care about Ben. Carly was the one we had followed and watched grow yet even her last episode was more about him Its like he constantly played on this Carly is selfish routine but that was before he came in it. He seems to treat her like a child not an equal. My point is I just think we lost her once the wedding was over. The writers stuck her in a corner. I think Carly was always stronger on her own. The difference with the other boyfriends is that it wasn't long turn and a story was usually attached to it. In general I feel that a character is always stronger when the are focused an individually. So many strong characters get ruined when the writers start to rely on another one to give them things to do. Don't get me wrong. Some couples sparked off so well together we it really works. And the characters give to each and are just as strong. Michael an Pippa don and maz etc. But others ruin the character. This is why I feel Leah has floatecfor years. Not enough attention has been given to who she is. It's always another husband as they don't know what to do with her single. Vinnie was a fascinating character too before they tied him down. -
Ok. Last attempt plead for this song. Played in diner throughout late 97 and 98. Played when Jesse was scattering Kylie's ashes and the was a montage of her time on the show. Lyrics are: Standing with my feet on the ground. and I won't put anybody down And I'm calling out to you but you're not too sure just what you're gonna do. Well I wake up every evening with my back up against the i see you there before me But I'm not sure what to do about it I'm trying not to cry over you but I feel this way, just like yesterdau im trying to get by without you but I feel this pain, I feel this pain, do you remember, Heard a few my friend the chocolate cake song included in the show. I know the obvious ones we all know are I've got a plan and talk about love. But there are others. Lighthouse keeper and wash away the pain have been used

I'm not sure I'd she already has a thread. I've gone back a while to see. I see Carly as one of the ultimate 80s characters. In fashion more than anything else. But her character means more to me than that. When listening to the Carly theme I get a sense of really knowing that character. The person who wanted so much more out of life, full of hopes and dreams but never having the luck or talent to get there. Wanting better than Lance and Martin but always messing it up with the hot ones. A character full of flawes but a decent person. Someone's who's has had a ****ty beginning in life despite having money. Second best to a favourite sibling. Hard exterior soft inside in a very different way and less obvious way to Bobby. Thats is until Ben arrives. By giving Carly a husband who loves her (despite imo controlling behaviour towards her) ended Carly's anxed and her relatability in one go and killed her character. From the marriage, there was the death knell for her character which for an original was a real shame. I'm not sure if Sharyn wanted to leave, but Julian surely did and that's why we lost her. And I feel beCause of that we didn't even get a proper last episode for a character we have followed since the beginning. Arguable the main one in the second part of 88. She should have never been given that happy ever after story that cut her story arc so short. I love Bobby. But love Carly equally as much. I feel that she should have been brought back, if she wanted to, in an ideal world when Bobby left. On Carly's return you can really see Sharyn being faithful to Carly's personality. Anyway, basically my point is as a Carly fan, her last 6 months in the show made me feel a little cheated. Does anyone else feels the same? Or think I am talking a load of tish tosh, as Marilyn would say

Frank Morgan - Alex Papps

Don't think is all bad but he had a lots of faults. Didnt like the way he treated Steven at the beginning because he was brainy. Yet he was also one of the worst in looking down on Lance and martin for the opposite reason. Also didn't like the way he made Bobby feel guilty for wanting to go to uni eventually making her give it up , -

For a character born into the show at the end of 2001 it's such a shame we didn't gradually grow with him the way we did with Sally and Sam. I also wished they connected the fact the he was vinnies son a lot more and was saddened to never know him. I really think the writing of VJ has been terrible. -
Hi just looking back and was wondering where the venue was that jack went to to listen to past and present perform. Looked like The Newport?

She did a fair bit of acting after Home And Away. Shortly after she was in a Flipper movie which I remember her talking about in an interview. In the 00s she was in American series Heroes. I'm not 100% sure she was one of the many that was axed around that time. I've never read it, as I had with Luke, Sarah, Tug etc. She said in an interview once that she felt there was nothing more she could learn from being in a soap anymore. I think she wanted other challenges. Here is her IMDb page http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0480118/
