Oh, how I miss Fisher. Norman Coburn is definitely a 'less is more' type of actor. A real class act. I do hope he returns one day.

I miss when doctors actually interacted with the community and had story lines that involved different characters. Charlotte (cannot recall second name) and Rachel Armstrong are good examples of this. Actual thought and imagination went into those characters. Anyone introduced since 2009 has been a forgettable flop.

I don't know the answer to either of your questions, but I too would like to know why she stopped going to university. It was a nice bit of character development and what a shane that she's been stuck in the Diner tossing salad since 2005. Although, steps MAY be taken this year to change that.

I've been watching a couple of episodes recently and from what I've seen, they have a lot of chemistry together. Certainly more than the violent Brax who ended his relationship with her rather bluntly so he doesn't deserve another chance.

I wish she'd stayed longer. I don't remember much about her time on the show but I recall that it was all too brief.

Another who is switching off! It's becoming more frequent. I gave up last year and haven't looked back. It's not the show I once loved and I'm with you on the hot body image the show promotes. It's disgusting but Channel 7 are convinced that it will buy them more viewers and make them more money. An interview with Coral Drouyn on this very site will confirm this! Maybe the show will get better again.

Emily is great. She was used more in 2013 but I'd like her to be at the forefront of the show( and Irene and Alf!) more in 2014. 3 legendary characters and 3 talented actors!

Emily is a curvy girl. Certainly not chubby! I hate that Home and Away have promoted the 'stick thin' image so much in the past 9/10 years. They do seem to be moving away from that, though. Bonnie Sveen looks like your everyday girl. Not part of some plastic barbie group that there has been in the past!

Sadly there are no old episodes being aired any time of the year now here in the UK (H&A's second biggest market) after Channel 5 took the **** and dropped Home and Away: The Early Years in favour of Cowboy Builders? They have such little regard for the fans. Both Network 7 and Channel 5.

No, it just doesn't seem to be of interest to the writers. What the HELL is Bevan Lee thinking? He has done great things in the past for the show but now he doesn't seem to care.

You never know Andrew. You'd make a good writer! How unimaginative of the writers if they don't see the potential for moving Irene forward as a character by involving her in this storyline.

I think she'll be badly shaken up by the blast and may feel like her life is just one big train wreck. We could see her become frightened to go out into the community and it would be great to see a vulnerable and fragile side to Irene. Maybe it will lead to one of her children coming back too.

I think what alexx means is to not have Irene just dishing out advice to random characters. We should see her develop relationships with other characters and see a trusting relationship form. We should also see her live her own life and develop as a person - which we all do!

Yep. It's like they just don't care or just assume that fans and viewers don't care about this sort of thing. It wouldn't be hard, would it? You know, to put a little effort into these sort of things!
