It really is farcical now. I think it's heading for meltdown - they need to stop trying to 'follow the crowd' and go back to telling stories that centre on families, friendships and everyday issues. That's what it should be about. Oh and I remember Alf and Leah being really close and you could tell that she was dear to him. So sad that that's been forgotten. Bad continuity that's all too common these days. I hope it gets worse just so that 7 will finally take some action.

I have no idea but does anyone really believe they're going to show right through the 90's? I have a feeling they'll do 1992 and then skip 5 years or so. There aren't many episodes of H&A available though. Pierced Musie I'm sure you once said something to me about soaps being available on iTunes in the future? I hope that is the way forward but TV companies don't seem to care.

Glad to see that someone appreciates Jiles other than myself. I too think that they missed out on what could have been a nice romance! I'll need to watch the picnic ep too now! I know what you mean about shipping for hopeless couples - I still wish Kit & Noah lived happily ever after.

It's a shame he decided to leave but they sort of tainted the character by the time Josh left. Shame. I always enjoyed their scenes together and there seemed to be a chemistry there. Miles could have tamed her a bit too I think. I do wonder if we'll see him again - he was probably the last truly interesting character created on the show.

Does anyone else feel that there is something missing on H&A without Miles Copeland? I thought his backstory was fascinating yet tragic and there was a lot left to be explored with his character I think. He brought a sort of stability to the show after Sally left and I always thought that he'd be part of the 'next generation'. I've always wished that he and Jazz settled down together and fostered some kids. It would have allowed Jazz to make up for past mistakes too! If only the writers had followed through.... Everything looked so promising in early 2008! Does anyone know if he was axed or did Josh choose to leave? It wouldn't surprise me considering how he was treated in 2011.

Didn't Ailsa promise Alf that he'd see her again when it's "really time for him to go?" I hope that when/if Alf leaves that we see him move on with Ailsa.

Yeah - totally agree. He was a fantastic principal and was actually quite a multi-layered character. I'd like to see him return but Lynne McGranger was asked about it last year and she said that "he was in prison for murder." I thought we only knew that he was facing trial?

He was Pippa's husband from 1991-1996. He died in a flood that struck Summer Bay. I presume you're a relatively new viewer then?

Does H&A have a Story Consultant? Like someone who has a knowledge of H&A's past who can adivse newer recruits?

Yeah it would be random actually. I think if enough thought went into it they could make it work though. Perhaps Irene could start feeling lonely and miss having kids around and looking after people? I think it'd be awesome to have Diana Fraser back though. I agree about Irene working at the school again - we rarely see her in the Diner so if she were to work at the school again she'd likely be involved in the show more. Wasn't she fired by Barry Hyde in 2004?

That dating thing lasted for pretty much one episode - it was forgotten after that.

I like that idea, beau_t! It'd be interesting to see how she'd fare in a relationship with a younger man. Maybe the writers will think of this one day - I doubt it though.

It is interesting! That would be really sad but it could be really emotional. I hope Lynne has a lot of input if they're going down this road - her fight against cancer last time round was pathetic (I know that's harsh but it was). That isn't Lynne's fault as she played the role of a cancer patient fantstically but the writing left something to be desired. Anyway, it seems there is a lot instore for Irene this year.... Does anyone think they could bring back Chloe's daughter Olivia? I think she'd be in her early teens by now - I really wanted her to stay with Irene after Chloe's death. It could also mean a return of the formiddable Diana Fraser. Perhaps Olivia runs away from home and we find out she's been abused by Diana so seeks comfort in Irene? Please make this happen writers.

Exactly. Channel 7 seem market it as a shallow show for teens. It's not - and it never was. So far 2013 hasn't given me any hope that it will be different to 2012 but the year is but young.

Yeah I know. I think Irene will have lots more to do this year though as Lynne has been hinting on twitter for a while now.

Does anyone remember the 1998 England episodes? We're they set in Yorkshire? I think Selina was in those episodes but I was under the impression she left in 1997? Was 1998 therefore her final appearance? I seem to remember she was cooped up in her bedroom in England or something.

So that's 50 episodes away from 3190 (Season Finale). I think they stopped because they had recently acquired Neighbours yeah? Perhaps if they knew there was a demand (which there is) then maybe they could start from 2000 again. I've e-mailed C5 on several occasions but their excuse is always that it doesn't fit in with their schedule.

Does anyone know the exact episode Channel 5 stopped at when they were showing H&A: The Early Years from 2007-2008? Did they finish the 2001 season? From my memory it was nearing 2002 though I'm not sure. I hope they start again one day as I really enjoyed seeing those episodes while they were on.

This is a very vague question and I don't know if anyone will have an answer but does anyone know the last time Irene mentioned Ken Smith (who I consider to be the love of her life)? I'm guessing maybe the last time Will was around? I know she mentioned him in 4100 (2005 finale) but she never seems to talk about her past relationships these days.

I've been reading up on the year 2000 (awesome year) and am I right in thinking that Don wrote a poem about Judith Ackroyd? Was he romantically attracted to her? I might be mixed up though - I may be thinking of the time when he recieved a letter from Marilyn in 2001? I'm so confused Anyway, I always thought it was a nice character trait for him to be into poetry and literature - it really helped shape the character and allowed the auidence to learn about his personality. I miss that. Can anyone help?

Around the time of the 2002 Mirigini disaster Shelley seemed to hate her daughter Kirsty but I have no idea why. There are almost no 02 episodes on Youtube so I was hoping that someone could fill me in?
