Here's to hoping Heath got out of jail and slept with Bianca for one night before disappearing mysteriously afterwards, never to be heard of again until Brax found out and went to the city to see him. And then Charlie realised this and ran out of the beach house. No? Okay. I hope it's not Heath's anyway. then there'd be no telling with a dna test. Brown hair, brown eyes, maybe it's Sid's? This fic always has me on the edge of my seat.

From the beginning I've noticed that Brax holds certain morals when it comes to family and friendship. He's a very family first guy but his morals have certain limitations and exceptions depending on the situation. Any one hurts his family and they will get their comeuppance with no boundaries but the river boys have a no tolerance policy on certain behaviour which for crime oriented group, I find interesting. They have their own law and Brax doesn't tolerate any slighting of his beliefs. There times when his world is black and white and times when it's in shades of gray. The cast only has a get out jail free card because they are people/actors with jobs and contracts and behind the scenes logistics sometimes have to be considered. If they get rid of a character because of a storyline, they'll do it sparingly or Summer Bay will be a very quiet place. If Steve didn't want to leave so early into his job, and if he had plenty of storyline opportunities, it would have been silly to get rid of him for the sake of justice. Swift justice isn't realistic, in my opinion and it would have been way too easy to put him in jail and never see what becomes of Darryl Braxton. Every time someone goes to jail in Home and away, their lives cease to exist and their story never gets to be told which is a shame. I doubt anyone's thought about Jake since his all too quick arrest. Not even the characters. Every one has a likeable side, for some you have to look deeper than others, but it's there. I don't condone Brax' actions and don't believe he's done nothing wrong, he has a criminal past and might turn to it out of desperation in the future again but your actions don't determine who you are. It determines how others perceive you but not your character. i find that sometimes peple judge Brax too quickly just because of his criminal activities and don't look any deeper. You could be a murderer on death row and still love your parents. If every one was good all the time it wouldn't be realistic. I thiink that's what I love about Brax, that he has so many dimensions to him; he's violent, he's proud, he's independent, loves his family yet Brax doesn't understand how to handle his emotions, how to accept help and/or coexist in a legal community oriented setting. He has a lot of growing to do and i only beginning to grasp it. on the opposite spectrum, he can turn to violence and makes a myriad of poor decisions most of which are criminal in nature but he knows how to love even though his love is sometimes misguided. Brax has a heart just like every one else and just because his heart and his experience and ability to love is a little less developed than some of Summer Bay's other residents doesn't mean it should be disregarded.

Great updates, the zoo was so cute. Especially the little banter between Chax and Jacob forcing his parents to cuddle up for the camera. Is she calling Brax? I have a feeling they won't be able to work it out for a while yet. Bianca will always haunt them, if she's carrying Brax' baby, there's no going back. Your updates are always SO heart breaking.

I absolutely love your sense of humour. It took me so long to read that chapter because I was laughing too hard. Amazing start. Especially Leah and Miles' misconceptions about the Braxtons/Bucktons.

It's interesting that Casey's avoiding him. I thought they'd be friends. Loved Colleen in this chapter and Dex It must have been so surreal to see himself online. His mini panic attack was awful. I don't think we've ever seen Dex this vulnerable in the show so it's interesting to read. Well done.

I had to laugh at Jakey reminding Brax about the girls' things. I wish he was mine. I love both those boys to bits. Great update as always.

Captured my attention and intrigue immediately I feel so sorry for poor Dex, the whole situation is tough on the whole family.

Just posting to let you know I'm going on holidays to Adelaide on Saturday and I've got a truck load of work on top of that so I probably won't be able to post another chapter for a couple of weeks at least. There's only a few more updates to go.

It really was Casey! Just caught up with the last two chapters... I love Casey so i had this crazy theory that ruby actually slept with him and got raped by someone else afterwards and blocked it out, only remembering Casey So much for that I'm addicted to this story. Amazing.

I've got an idea about a sequel only more centered on Brax and Charlie set a few months later. I probably won't write it for a while though, will let you know. Thanks for the comments everyone, glad you're all enjoying this fic. Only 3 more chapters to go.
