  3. Alf's re-wedding to Martha just had the main cast at the time and a bunch of random extras, I had hopes to see the likes of Colleen and Celia.

  5. Funny, I noticed the same thing, I wonder if the set was sold to Channel 7 and repurposed for Home and Away's Summer Bay High? I mean, there's only a two year break between Prisoner's end and Home and Away's beginning, besides, Home and Away commenced filming in 1987, so it is quite possible... Either that, or the same set designer worked on both shows, oddly enough, Don's office almost looks like a refurbished version of Ann Reynold's office, just without the wardrobe and the air vents.

  7. I could see Pippa return to nursing after handing over the reigns of fostering to someone else and still living in the Summer Bay House OR living in her own little flat, still to this day even, I can even see Pippa giving advice to the likes of Bree, Xander and Harper during their careers in the hospital.
  8. Any Royalty that resembled the people in the portraits, I know in Prisoner, in the Wentworth set, they had portraits of what I always assumed to be a Queen in the reception room. So, it could be a similar case.
  9. Janet Andrewartha, best known for playing Reb Kean in Prisoner and Lyn Scully in Neighbours, sadly passed away on July 26, aged 72. I am quite sad that she passed away, I never watched Neighbours much at all, but I did watch Prisoner and I liked her as Reb Kean. I had hoped one day, she would grace the shores of Summer Bay with her talents.
  10. They could have recycled the storyline and changed parts like they did with Karen and Greg's storyline in Prisoner with Petra and Scott. The Sutherlands and Nashes just never vibed as much as The Fletchers/Rosses did.

  13. Wow, I never knew Home and Away borrowed from a production library... I guess the use of "Flashing Knives" should have been a sign. I was watching the 1988 episodes (as much as I could) and didn't recognize any others used in Prisoner yet. When and if they bring it back, I should keep an ear out. If I'm not too mistaken, I think they even used "Dancing The Hula" a track often used in SpongeBob. This was in the 2006 season of Home and Away, though it could have always been a similar track.

  15. Alf and Martha's wedding had no returnees, it was current cast members and what was possibly Alf's "friends" other than the ones we know. I don't even think Morag's passing has even been mentioned. Also, with some of the storylines we have seen in recent months, some that would benefit from stuff like "I remember when this happened to X all those years ago...". There hasn't even been any mention of the Summer Bay City Rollers, despite one of the band members being still in the show, especially with Lyrik being a thing.

  19. There was a lack of air vents on some of the sets. I was looking for some on some of the public area sets when rewatching 1988. They stood out like a sore thumb in Prisoner for some reason.

  21. Heck, you could say the revamp of the Bayside Diner was a sign of the times. I saw the episode where Ailsa dies and it didn't feel like 1988 - 1996. 2018 - now feels more like 1988 - 1996, even though the original format is long gone. It's not like 1988 - 1996, but there's a similar feeling, I can't explain it though.
  22. IMO, I'd say 2000, Ailsa's death was the icing on the cake where the show just felt different. Fostering was on it's way out by then, especially since Pippa left. There was still fostering, but wasn't it just like how Irene, Alf and Ailsa had troubled teens living with them and not being officially fostered like Pippa and Tom/Michael did?
  23. I had hoped they'd add a season every six months or at least every year, but alas, no... I absolutely love the current show, but it does lack that charm the Early Years had.
  24. So, skipped a few and saw 183, 184 and 185 due to 7Plus removing it later tonight for the Walter Bertram hermit story and the abandoned house scenes. The latter was pretty cool and gave off the same vibes I get when listening to stories about abandoned houses (most of them being online horror stories known as "Creepypastas"). Plus, it sucks that Walter had to hide away due to small town Summer Bay residents possibly harming him.
  25. Like when I rewatched Prisoner in 2017 - 2018 with Meg Morris and Reb Kean, Ailsa's becoming a character I am liking more the second time I'm watching Home and Away.
