  1. Very harrowing scenes with Baby Dale's death without a doubt! The effects will be felt within the Fletcher/Ross household for quite a while. I think Sally's reaction from her step brother's death was very realistic.
  2. I didn't think I would have tears but Casey's funeral literally brought me to tears! I really enjoyed the nature of his character in the past three years and I will miss watching him! Hopefully he's remembered by his brothers and never forgotten!
  3. Maybe she was upset about Casey but ultimately she was more interested in Josh and being able to get to close to him when he was at his lowest. This girl has no redeeming features with the way she used Oscar on several occasions to get close to Josh and the fact that she slept with him a day after his new half-brother died says it all for me. She should have stopped him for the sake of his relationship with Evelyn and the fact that he wasn't in the right of state of mind either. I understand that she's bitter about Josh and Evelyn but ultimately her relationship with Josh fell apart because of lack of communication and her constant undermining of him such as his willingness to improve in his schooling which she didn't taken seriously. Maddy should just remember that Casey was there for her last year and she should appreciate the fact that Alf, Roo and Marilyn have a lot of patience and tolerance for her despite how much she causes trouble for them.
  4. I'm not sure it's sending a bad message to young female viewers of the show but I certainly agree with your points about the character itself. Her obsession to get back with Josh is hitting an all-time low as she slept with him when he was at his most vulnerable today after Casey's death and she seems more interested in him than the gravity of the whole situation involving Casey. Maddy is one of the most self-centred and stuck-up characters I've seen in a long time and she doesn't seem very grateful that Roo has fought tooth and nail to ensure that she lives in a stable household and to have a good life. However I do blame Roo recently for not being tougher on Maddy as she's been molly-coddling far too much in recent times. Please don't start me with her annoying skipping motion. It just makes her come across as immature when I see her doing that and I can't stand it!
  5. Farewell Casey Braxton! What a fantastic character and brilliantly portrayed by the very talented Lincoln Younes. Casey had been through a lot in these past three years and I loved watching his journey from a troubled school man who felt like an 'outsider' amongst the River Boys to a mature and confident man and that's why his death is such a tragedy in more ways than one. I loved the sibling relationships that he shared with Brax, Heath and Kyle later on in the series and while Casey did have his flaws he was definitely a well-liked character amongst residents of Summer Bay with him sharing a friendships with characters like John, Jett and Dexter over the years. His final scene with Brax is one of the saddest scenes I've seen in the show for a long time and I'm certain that it will be remembered for years to come. Lincoln Younes should be extremely proud of his portrayal as Casey Braxton for the past three and a half years on the show and after seeing him on Tangle I knew that he was definitely talented and that's why I wish him all the best in his future endeavours as an actor and while I've never seen an episode of Love Child I'm eager to watch it next year when he's on!
  6. Brilliant acting by Steve Peacocke in the past few days. I can feel Brax's pain just watching him on-screen. I doubt he'll ever fully recover from this tragedy. Losing Charlie was bad enough, but losing the baby brother that he adored from birth will absolutely kill him inside. I fear for Brax's mental health in the future if he's unable to move on from this.
  7. Brax is going to be devastated if Casey dies I can only imagine how he's going to react especially with what he went through with Charlie in early 2012.
  8. I guess it was assumption-based more than anything else. As time has gone on and we've become more progressive as a society, the types of religious views that Celia may have had a long time ago have mellowed or been toned down as the years have gone by. Also maybe her work in Africa has influenced her current thoughts on religion and politics.
  9. He did return for a guestie in 1999 which was quite fun. I remember him being portrayed as a bit of a baddie or a bit ruthless with regards to opening Bonza Burger and taking business away from the Diner, albeit with comical. Was he a bit too big for his boots? I'd like to watch his return again because I'd probably appreciate it a lot more second time round. But I can hardly remember anyone actually welcoming him back though - other than perhaps Sam surprisingly (after an initial resentment?). I remember they had an interesting conversation about Bobby in the Diner. Adam would know Irene, Marilyn, Roo and Alf if he was to return. I think he's the type of character who could actually return without any real reason, simply because he lived there in the past. I wonder how he'd be written if he returned now though, considering the current format. Bringing back Adam would be great especially due to his connections and significance of the show in the early years. I also agree that Adam is one of those types of characters that could easily slot back into the show without a specific reason due to the nature of his character as being laid-back and relaxed about things. Imagine if he worked for Alf at the bait shop
  10. Hannah's an awful character. Initially I thought she had potential early on when she was trying to rescue Oscar and Evelyn from the cult but since she's 'freed' them so to speak, she's been a terrible character. She treats Zac appallingly, makes dumb decisions like getting back together with Andy despite all his flaws and she is self-absorbed rather than worrying about others. I also feel that while Cassie Howarth does a good job in portraying Hannah I think she's a tad too young for the role. She's only 28 whereas we're supposed to imagine that Hannah is in her mid to late 30s like Zac is for example.
  11. I hate seeing that happen. I've enjoyed watching them online as well as on TV every morning. Hopefully they'll return soon.
  12. Lincoln was fantastic in Tangle. He really demonstrated his acting ability and talent in that show!
  13. I think there's a massive opportunity to see the relationship of mother and daughter develop on-screen between Martha and Roo. Personally I always found Martha to be a slightly overrated character but I'd be happy to see her return one day, but with the way things are with Jodi and Channel 7 I can't see it happening any time soon.
  14. Jesse was definitely responsible for Chloe's death as what he did either constituted culpable driving causing death or involuntary manslaughter due to his drunken state. Flashbacks were shown when he found out he was responsible and car paint from Chloe's car matched the paint found on Jesse's car as well. It's clear he was responsible despite not intentionally killing her. There's a possibility that Jesse might be out of jail or is close to be released when thinking about the timeframe since the accident occurred and the kinds of charges he would have been facing in court if convicted. The types of convictions that may be in his name now constitute penalties of about 10 years in jail and he committed the offence in 2005. I've always liked the idea of bringing him back next year in time for Alf's 70th Birthday but I'm not sure if Ben Unwin is still acting as I heard that he had a career change but that's pure speculation though.
  15. Yes Tim's back at Ramsay Street as he was on it playing Fox in 2007 who was a figment of Paul's imagination when he was suffering from a brain tumour. I was always amazed by Archie's initial popularity despite only appearing very briefly on the show.
  16. Thanks for the quick response to my questions and queries. Despite all of this the page is very impressive and brought back heaps of memories for me personally. Well done to setting up such an impressive resource that many can refer to in the future.
  17. Very impressive work Dan F! Brought back plenty of memories A few things I do have a query with is firstly didn't Neville (Floss' husband) die in 1996, not in 1998 as shown on the 'deaths' page? I remember Floss saying that he died four years before when she reappeared in 2000 for Sally's wedding. I might be wrong but I swear she said four years ago so correct me if I'm wrong on that one. I was also thinking another death that occurred was in episode 4322 involving a guy called Tom who was a part of Johnny Cooper's gang and wanted to get out of the gang alongside Rocco until things backfired and Johnny exclaimed that Tom 'took a holiday' or is it because it was not confirmed one way or another that Tom was not included on the list? Also would the boat people who died during the long-year storyline in 2009 be included in the list of deaths as well even though about a dozen of them died off-screen and we didn't know of the characters names or who they were to start off with? Overall still very impressive though! I'm very impressed by the amount of detail and memory you have of the show over the years.
  18. They may but so far Sophie seemed very determined to not use painkillers after her operation so she's earned trust from Nate more than ever now despite the pain she had to go through without them.
  19. Excellent feature Dan! Really enjoyed reading that
  20. No I don't think that was even mentioned so I dare say Ricky doesn't know. I'd assume that she was aware of it. How could she not know at all?
  21. It's only a guess but I suspect Ricky's parents have both died a while ago and Adam was the one who brought her up. There also seems to be quite an age gap between her and Adam so it's plausible to say that Adam may have had a big influence in bringing up Ricky.
  22. Great feature Dan! I really enjoyed looking back on the milestones for the show! Hopefully episode 6000 lives up to expectations.
  23. Hi Natasha, To ignore a certain member's post you must enter into the 'Manage Ignore Prefs' section of the forum which is located within your username at the top right hand corner of the screen next to the 'sign out' option. As you enter into 'Manage Ignore Prefs' you can then decide who you want to ignore in terms of posts, signatures and messages. I hope this helps answer your question.
  24. Hence he would have been charged with manslaughter as opposed to murder, along with committing arson, and of course the other crimes he committed such as theft and etc. Amazing to think he only served about 6 years of his sentence considering the serious nature of the crimes he committed. He must have been a 'model prisoner' when he was in jail to get an early release as I assume he was paroled.
  25. You're mixing up the two characters played by the same actor. Based on what Sam did in 1988 my guess is that he would have been charged with manslaughter, threats to kill and various other offences. From what I know of the laws in NSW some of these offences carry sentences of 25 years if found guilty by a court.
