  1. It's hard to determine his character at the moment as he's a little mysterious. John and Marilyn thought he was a journalist, and then at the end of Thursday we realise that he's a doctor. He seems a little arrogant as well, but he's an intelligent individual nevertheless. He actually reminds of me Rhys Lawson from Neighbours.
  2. I like Oscar. He's a rational and smart kid who knows better than to be drawn into this nonsense with this 'cult' that his dad and sister believe in.
  3. Kyle's backstory has been vague overall with only an explicit reference about him going through foster care and completing high school. The Braxtons trip to Melbourne may have given us a clue about the kind of lifestyle Kyle was living before him and Danny reconnected with each other.
  4. I think (but could be wrong) Westaway once said that Kyle's birth mother was an a violent alcoholic who beat him leading him to be placed in numerous foster homes before finally being fostered into a family that cared. Hmm...that's interesting to hear, especially from the actor who plays Kyle. She sounds just as bad as Danny Braxton to be honest. If what Nic is saying is correct in regards to the reasons why Kyle was placed into foster care, I'd love to see this storyline explored by the writers such as Kyle's mother being introduced. I reckon we'd see some fine acting by Nic. Also can you imagine Cheryl vs. Kyle's mother
  5. Celia's a legendary character, there's no doubt about that. It was nice seeing her return earlier this year on the show but you do feel that the show is past her now in terms of her characterisation. She comes across as too old-fashioned at times, but as long they continually develop her character every time we see her, then I'll be happy. I'm sure her time in Africa has given her a greater and open-minded perspective on life as well. Between 1988 to 1990 Celia was one of my favourite characters despite her gossipy nature. While she came across as an ignorant and narrow-minded person, deep down Celia was a complex character with a tragic backstory as she lost her fiancé Les in the Vietnam War. I'm glad the writers didn't forget about Les in her last stint as well and she used it as a way to bring Heath and Bianca together. Celia's connection with the church was shaped by Les' death so that played a big role in how her life started to play out as she was deeply involved in the church and then later on in volunteer work in Africa. Her last guest stint was good and bad. The good elements of it was that we saw her again after being off-screen since 2005 and I liked the continuity from the writers in remembering Les, but her gambling storyline was handled poorly and I thought it was very out-of-character for Celia in the first place, considering she condemned gambling in 1990 with the surf carnival when Alf made a bet with Ben's (Carly's husband) mate.
  6. No worries
  7. If you mean where you should post the articles, I think the 'Bayside Diner' section of the forum is the most appropriate place to post the articles. I'm actually curious to read them as a big Early Years fan.
  8. I don't know how to upload a screen grab of him, but the episode is online though.
  9. No I reckon Kyle looks more like Heath, whereas Brax and Casey look more alike.
  10. Wow Josh Quong Tart looks really different from 1992 as opposed to 2008 when he returned in a different role as Miles obviously. The resemblance is evident though.
  11. Well on that basis it's possible she's still alive, but you have to wonder why Kyle was in foster care though.
  12. I don't think it's ever been explained on-screen, but Kyle's 'official' profile on the Home and Away website suggested his mother died of an alcohol-related death soon after Danny was sent to jail.
  13. Yep excellent work RR1
  14. Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary since Bobby's death back in 1993 which aired in Australia on August 19 1993. I can't believe it's been 20 years. She's still one of my favourite characters of all time.
  15. No it is 1950, as the show started in 1988 so she'd be about 37-38 years old in the show. The actress was born in 1948 so therefore she was 39 when the show started filming for the very first time. Therefore I'm not sure how you pulled out 1960 out of nowhere
  16. Yes it was quite a shock realising that she was a lot younger than she looked when she first appeared on the show back in 1988. Right now Sally is only five years younger than when we first saw Celia on our screens. The mind boggles
  17. ^ That's awesome.
  18. She was shown in the flashback from Alf's childhood in 2010, also mentioned by Celia In 1988. Yup it was literally just that one mention from Celia and she was never heard of again. It was due to the continued discussion of her on BTTB (plus a few mentions from myself) that Bevan Lee ensured her existance would be included in the 2010 flashback. Short character profile for her here After reading her character profile I was surprised to read that she was born in 1960 . I was thinking more like 1950 or even the late 1940s.
  19. It does make sense as it will be three years in September since they signed the contracts. Who knows whether they'll stay or not. Steve may leave if he's a success in this Hollywood film he's been filming, I can actually see Dan staying as long as Bianca is hanging around but they may both leave and Lincoln is up in the air. I do think that Lincoln is a strong actor so he'd be ashamed to lose him. I just wish that Casey wasn't the writers 'punching bag' though.
  20. Sorry about the Brat thing I wasn't listening properly. Admittedly I haven't seen these episodes but going by what you were saying it did sound plausible that Frank would call Sam a 'spoilt brat'. Anyway it was an honest mistake.
  21. I finally discovered the problem last night (a hidden away setting in a completely different section to the rest), but we're just weighing up the pros and cons - won't be long Excellent stuff Dan I'm just wondering what's your list of pros and cons for enabling the 'like' feature on this forum?
  22. Yes and she also played a character called Melody in 1990 who were flatmates with Adam and Matt for a week before both of them kicked her and her boyfriend out of the house.
  23. Frank would have to be my most hated character of the early years. Calling Sam a 'spoilt brat'. What about the way he acted in 1989 just before he left and the way he carried on after Phil's death. I think that's what we call 'spoilt' as well.
  24. Well done to Lincoln. He was outstanding in Tangle!
