So back to Home and Away... How long will Simon and Sophie keep up this pretence about the baby How long will Frank keep lying about being in love with Bobby And will Josh kill Blake and Adam!!!!

Bobby was one of those characters that would have been difficult to write out without losing a couple of cast members as well but it could have worked since Greg left about 10 episodes later and they could have ended Ryan Clark's contract. However I could not see Bobby leaving in 1993 without Sam. She wasn't like Greg and it wouldn't have been justice to the character. In the end I think the producers made the right (if very difficult option) to kill her off. While its still painful it might have been the only option to them following Nicolle's decision to quit. I wish she had stayed longer though. A part of H/A died when Bobby died. (And she is the only foster child of Pippa's to be killed off I believe).

Maybe they just ran out of ideas. No wonder Judy quit

Thank you I was wondering when they aired in the uk. Having seen clips of her death I think its easy to say that her death is the most depressing of any soap character. Ever.

From what I have seen of Rosie so far she has proved to be a strong character and I hope she is kept on and she doesn't become a 'issue' character!

Personally I disagree. I think she got better and better from mid 1990 onwards. I preferred to see the down to earth happy Bobby than the depressed I hate the world one in the first half of 1988. However she is the strongest character of the early years and despite 7 throwing 'attractive' teenagers in the viewers faces, In the UK if you mention Home and away to anyone over the age of 30 Bobby is almost one of the answers you will get. Her death left a gap in the show that I feel has never been filled and probably never will. Pity we never got to see Bobby and the Proper Rebecca (Belinda) together it would have been amazing.

Alisa in the early years has proved to be a great character and its been wonderfull to see how Alf and herself began. 1 tiny issue. Did we have to see in the later years her go crazy twice?

Heath has really grown on me in the last year. He has gone from the thug of the Braxtons to the heart of them. I only wish Connie could see that but she is being completely selfish to poor Darcy. Heath needs Morag to help him get Darcy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh god yes. He was a great character and added so much to the show!

Michael has really grown on me in the last year. Its nice to see a character who isn't perfect (like Tom) and has flaws. Spitting up Blake and Hayden was a bad idea but you could see his perceptive in the matter. Though personally I think Hayden has needed Blake to make him have more personalty

Now that would get things going for her. However if the situation at the moment continues Emily should quit. Its unfair to her to just be a background character when we all know that she is an amazing actress (shown through her first two stints on H&A and on Emmerdale)

It would be nice to see Fisher back especially as Maz is in the show (and needing ANYTHING to do) also he could come back because believe it or not its been 20 years since Bobby died and he could come back for that. I won't hold my breath though.

At the moment the early years are looking into Maz's past and they should do this now because it would give Emily something to do FINALLY on the show.
