  3. I hate the fight storyline. It's just jeering guys, who aren't even that hot. Personally, I don't think it's suitable for a soap; not in content, but just... grr. And, also, Ric's excuse to Mattie about 'going to see Drew for a beer' was so bad. Like, so bad. Does that girl have no brain at all? Her boyfriend cheated on her with a thirty-something bored housewife and now has an unborn child out there somewhere. And then, tonight, he gives a very unconvincing excuse and she doesn't bat an eyelid, but skips off back into the house. What is she, four? The Melody / Geoff thing and Geoff's talk with Roman on the beach. I've never been a massive Gaden 'shipper, (like, I like the idea of them, but never seen that much evidence of the attraction) but did no one else think tonight that Geoff wanted to go out with Melody, not because he'd seen the error of his superficial ways, but because he's desperate to prove to everyone (especially macho ex-SAS man, Roman) that he can a) find girls attractive (and is not the 'Bible boy' of previous) and b) get a girl? I don't know. And there was just something about the hurried, 'Thanks for the chat, Roman' that made it seem like either a) my theory is correct or b) just bad acting. Everything seems to have gone into a lull now Sally's left. I hope it picks up again soon. The whole Leah / Miles thing today in The Den (or whatever they're gonna call it - did they actually agree on anything?) was a bit contrived, to be honest. They've never really had that much interaction before, and I can see exactly where it's heading. I am, however, loving the Colleen Stewart storyline. There's just something about her and Morag that makes them amazing in scenes together. And her constant requests to Martha to refer to her as 'aunty' are so Colleen. Not really overly impressed by the Sam storyline. It was kinda simmering away nicely before Sally left, and I feel it's been employed now to try and boost ratings after Kate's departure; and it hasn't really worked, I don't think. I think that's all.

  5. Yeah that's tropical....We didn't even hit a high of 10 degrees yesterday...and it snowed overnight the night before...... Haha, Mez - I feel your pain! In winter we rarely hit 10 degrees. It was actually really nice here today, though - late teens. Believe me, that's positively tropical for early May in England!
  6. Was it actually any good? We have a holiday home about twenty minutes from where it was filmed in north Wales, so we saw Demi Moore on location. It never got released nationally in cinemas here, though, and it's never been on the television so I haven't had the opportunity to see it...
  7. Juno - go and see it, everyone! Seriously, it's an awesomecore film!
  8. Awww, I feel so sorry for Robbie. I wanna give him a hug but I think Jem might beat me to it! It was a cliché - to hell with your SPAG control! I'm sorry - but I did promise! And, no problem - that's what the Oracle's here for, afterall. Update soon?
  9. 44 DEGREES?! Is that not like being in an oven?
  10. I did cry at Atonement! And I felt such hatred for the old woman at the end, even though part of me was just saying that was me being judgemental... but, grrr! Although, as a random aside, I think Keira Knightley was too skinny - I just couldn't stop looking at her skeletal back, and not in a good way, either. The girl needs to eat. She's so stunning, it's such a shame. Great film, though! I watched Shrek 2, Shrek the Third and High School Musical 2 yesterday. I loved the latter - the songs are so catchy!
  11. It's over! *cries* I've never been a massive Jack&Martha fan, *ducks and hides*, but there was just something about the way you wrote this - maybe it had something to do with the fact that they went from best friends to lovers, and I can totally identify with that (no, I won't bore you with my life story here!) - that I found it so readable and appealing, and not like a lot of the other J&M stuff on here. That was such a cute and adorable last chapter and, oh, I want a boyfriend like Jack! Thankyou for such an engaging and superbly written story, Rach; even if I have been a bit of a silent appreciator - my bad, sorry! I'm really gonna miss this - I hope we get to see more of your work soon! Please? But not after you've taken a, well deserved, break, of course! (Unless you want to treat us to something sooner, obviously!) - Jessi.

  13. I want ten more chapters, too! I'm a bit in love with it, and that's saying something since I normally hate JM fics!
  14. ^^ I just hate the hangover the next morning. Although, I'm going to see the Spice Girls in concert in December, so my mate and I will probably get plastered after that. *bad Jessi*
  15. Music and Lyrics again... that movie just makes me squee so much.

  18. Is it out in Australia already?! No fair! *cries*
  19. I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End tonight. I didn't understand a word of it since I fell asleep in the last two movies so I was a little patchy on the story, but it didn't matter once the first few people had got into fights and virtually the entire set had been destroyed. It was a bit of an epic, though; but I had my 'lando to more than compensate. Okay... slightly graphic bit and spoiler-ish coming up...

  21. ^ Windows Vista is nice, Charlotte; quite sleek and professional looking. I, however, don't feel that it's worth the upgrade from XP.
  22. ^^ I think I fell asleep last time I watched that film, lol. I dunno, it just never really appealed to me.
  23. Wow, emmasi, that was awesome! My favourite stanza was definately the last one with the wind trading sea salt for crying/The sand keeping footprints in grain because it was so descriptive, but also I loved the idea of Summer Bay being a town full of memories and dust and the description of his heart's bitter crust. I could be here all night quoting my favourite bits, but I just wanna make it perfectly clear that I loved this poem and I seriously think you should write more, emmasi.
  24. Amber, you can't just leave us with that preview! Update as soon as you can. x x x
