  1. I know what you mean Valk, there are so many people who post stuff like "I agree" or "lol" or just post a smiley! On some forums I've used, there is a minimum post length, like you can't post less than 10 characters or something. Stops people from posting "lol", but it doesn't stop them from just posting smileys or other random crap
  2. Wow, Mercury Girl, I love the stars! Your bedroom looks really nice, love the bed and all the red bedding
  3. Wet and miserable - stupid northern hemisphere!
  4. Stay away from those priests and make sure you lock your bedroom door!
  5. I can't read!! *joke!!* I have read all my books!! Get some really boring books from your school library or the local library. If you are reading something really dull, you will probably feel more tired. Try reading something really complex or something written in old English, like Shakespeare or the Bible! You need something that makes your head hurt and makes you feel more tired!
  6. Maybe you could try reading or something, I find that if I'm tired, reading a book sends me to sleep. Or you could listen to the shipping forecast or some other boring radio show where all they do is talk about stuff you aren't interested in. That should send you to sleep!
  7. You'll have to stick to counting sheep then! When I was 14 we used to go to the local off-license and buy cheap cider, didn't make me tired though, just a bit giddy!
  8. Night Cal
  9. Was it not just bad hair? My avatar actually has a pineapple on his head... I'm going to have to upload him to my webspace so I can post him on here!
  10. Nope... who did he play for and how long ago? Not that I actually like football!
  11. I have made alternative versions of him too... Party Tabby - he is wearing a party hat - this is my birthday avatar! Christmas Tabby - he is wearing a santa hat Pineapple Tabby - he is wearing half a pineapple on his head! ok, that last one may sound pretty random, but it's because on The Sims Resource forum we had this huge thread in the games forum called "Food Fight" where we had a virtual food fight! It turned into gang warfare with food and I made a helmet from a hollowed out, titanium reinforced pineapple! Yes, I'm crazy!
  12. I can just see him sitting on Colleen's lap! Or Morag's!
  13. It kind of irritates me how I can't use my usual forum avatar here, my forum avatar is cool! It's a cat with an eye patch! Actually, here it is... Maybe if I put the H&A logo above his head, or put him on Colleen's lap or something, I could use him here too!
  14. I completely agree Ryan, some people post in realyl huge fonts, so a post that would normally take up 6 lines consumes half a page! Then they use colours that make it harder to read too! I don't mind people changing the font colour if it's still easily readable (not that I could be arsed to change the font settings!) but some people change it so that it's yellow or pale pink or something else that causes you to strain your eyes to read it! Totally pointless and just irritating!
  15. The first one works, but the others actually point to this URL: http://mistupid.com/ads/factsgamespictures.gif
  16. Dean. the link doesn't work, it actually links to a different page to the one in the URL! You have to copy and paste the URL from your post into the address bar, otherwise you get the wrong page! ETA - now your first link works, but the 2nd one points to the page the 1st one was pointing to before, which is still the wrong page!
  17. what again, Tom and I didn't get to see most of last weeks House, due to it playing up last week. I am sorry to hear about your son. I bet he is a fantastic kid. I wish you all the luck in the world. How old is Tom. If you don't mind me asking. I think Tom is 13 or 14.
  18. Oops! Better luck next time! Are you having problems with it, or did you just not revise enough? If you are having trouble understanding some of it, I might be able to help - I'm almost finished my computing degree! Just drop me a PM if you need any help
  19. http://www.michounet.com/fatman/ I've seen that before, it's pretty amusing. Surely that has to cheer you up just a little Valk?
  20. Thank you guys Tom has scoliosis, which happens to most DMD boy/teens. His curve has gone from about 32% to 64+% in roughly in the last six/eight months. In the last eight weeks He and his curve has rapidly grown it has progressed so much, the whole of his bottom rib is been pushed out and is very visable, as his spine is twisting even more. He is having surgery to have two rods in his back. He will be left with a curve roughly about 20%. The operation is roughly nine hours long, he will need blood transfusions and ICU/HDU for 24/48 hours after. Hope it all goes well
  21. What operation is he having Di? Hope it all goes well Mercury Girl, I'm really sorry to hear about your boyfriend's grandad, it must be awful for you all. I don't really know what to say, other than that I'll be thinking of you. As you said though, whilst it is probably really hard to take in that he only has a month left, it means that he won't be suffering for as long. If he had 6 months like they initially said, that would be a long time and would be harder on all of you. I just hope that he can go peacefully with the least amount of pain. *Hugs Mercury Girl*
  22. Ah well, glad you're feeling better I'm going to bed now. goodnight
  23. Hope the brain freeze eases soon! I can't imagine an icecream sundae with jelly beans, that's just weird!
  24. So you've been here pretty much as long as you can remember then I don't remember much about being younger than 5, although I have the odd memory, like I can vividly remember being sung to sleep by my grandma when I was a tiny baby, and I can remember going to Play Group when I was about 2 or 3 and having milk and cookies and I remember the evil ginger girl at Play Group who stole the bear I was playing with! I remember playing with magnetic trains in nursery, and I remember my first day of school! Random childhood memories!
  25. You wouldn't have been there when I was at school then. Have you always lived in Newcastle?
