You do realize it's a poll of collective opinions yeah? Just because you don't feel that way about her doesn't make it wrong. The votes don't lie, she was voted a top ten character and is popular amongst many. I certainly don't agree with every result either but I am one individual amongst many viewers of the show

I think it's brilliant that this was the overall outcome If anything it's a pretty accurate portrayal of the direction of the show nowadays which is that history is basically ignored and forgotten about pretty quickly. In saying that, if Alf Stewart the man who has been there since the start and never left, wasn't number one then he would have been robbed. But as a Dean stan very glad he is number 2, wouldn't have guessed that going into the voting but when you think about the last 2 years, we got to see both River Boy Dean, hero Dean and Dad Dean in action. Say what you want about his Mangrove River connections, but they make for entertaining scenes. The River Boys ambushing Paul and Leon's guys was a brilliant scene, as was when they essentially made a citizen's arrest on Nathan for his murder of PK. Both were pretty dark and totally not something you'd want to be doing in real life but for a TV show, awesome. And then probably the best part of 2022 for me, Dean and Karen finally reconnecting on screen. The beautiful moment when Karen met her grandson and they kicked the footy together, followed by the hilarious storyline of her finding love

I actually don't hate that Dean is higher than Irene because Irene I barely remember in 2022. After Jasmine left her house has barely featured.

This is going to be controversial, but I am glad Sally isn't in the top 10 this time. She does deserve it, sure. But she has also not been on the show for years. I think that Leah has now surpassed her for length of time in the role for instance which wasn't a fact in 2008. Alf or Irene deserve to be number one in my opinion with over 30 years of their characters being on the show (yes I know Lynne isn't quite there but the character of Irene is bigger than the actress when you consider the backstory that led to her becoming who she is today)

looking forward to casting my votes! I do have a request though re: the neighbours poll. Even though the show has ended, maybe voting should happen next year so people can vote for their fave characters who featured on the show from late 2021-finale? I understand that it's not current but it is important to celebrate the great Australian TV series. I can understand however that it may be tiring for admin to do it but i honestly think continuing it just to celebrate the end of the series would be a worthwhile idea

I thought her first couple of eps were great but she's quickly grown super entitled I feel. Seems to need to be the center of attention at all times and have everything her way I think she is a very complex individual however as a result of her upbringing, I get the impression that before Ari left everything was handed to her, and when he left it shook her up however she still continued to have things handed to her as a result of how she seems to behave around other people like Ryder, such as with the workplace training and preventing Bella from seeing Nikau. She will grow overtime, but not a good first impression and honestly I think that the show has overdone it with the arguing between her and Ryder and it's starting to make everyone kind of look bad I feel

Bold to assume this but I have a slight feeling judging by your account name that you were a Raffy fan? ? Haha nah great idea. She was an awesome character who I honestly thought was going to stay around until 2020. I wouldn't know where to start with this kind of post though sadly

Any idea why it's taken this long for him to finally join the Bay? Was there plans for him to join sooner? I am aware that there's often family members that join later, but it seems odd that the whole family appear in all the same promo shots yet have never been together at all on screen probably until tomorrow night's episode I imagine...bizarre! I will say I don't actually mind that they have had his character introduced a little later and had a few city visits. I quite like the aspect of characters travelling outside the bay to random recurring locations for storylines, I just feel as though that this particular one has gone on for a little too long.

Yeah I’d say that after having his actor be an extra on the series for so long he was finally given a proper acting role
