Thanks for reading Chapter 504 Diner- Summer Bay Marilyn felt her heart break as she walked out of the diner to see Adam and Shannon kissing “Sorry, excuse me” Adam and Shannon stopped kissing and moved out of the way for Marilyn to walk out of the diner. Shannon watched Adam as he watched Marilyn walk away “I better get back to work” Shannon said and sighed and Adam didn’t respond “Adam” Shannon said “Hmm did you say something?” Adam said and turned around to look at Shannon “I said I better get back to work” Shannon said “Yeah me too” Adam said as he looked at his watch “I’ll see you at home later on?” Shannon said “Yeah” Adam said and Shannon leaned forward and kissed him then she turned and walked into the diner. Adam turned around to notice that Shannon was gone then he ran to catch up with Marilyn “Hi” Adam said and Marilyn turned and looked at him “Hello” Marilyn said “How are you…you know after the break in?” Adam said “Fine” Marilyn said and she continued to walk “I heard they got the guy” Adam said “Yes they did “ Marilyn said “I’m glad because I was really worried you know” Adam said as Marilyn felt her heart ache. She was not Adam, no matter how much she tried to convince herself that she was. “Adam” Adam turned around to see Ben walking towards him “G’day” Adam said and Marilyn froze when she saw Ben “Bye Adam” Marilyn said as Ben smiled at her and she tried to walk away as quickly a she could “You up for a blokes night out tonight? Ben said “I cant mate, it’s a school night” Adam said “Come on, it wont be a late one, I have to go to work tomorrow as well” Ben said as Adam thought about it “Yeah, alright then” Adam said and smiled “Alright then, Ill tell the others. We can meet at my place at 7” Ben said “Alright, see you later” Adam said and smiled as Ben walked away. He really liked Ben, he thought he was a great guy, and they had a lot in common. The blokes nights out were always a laugh with him and Adam smiled because he knew that tonight was going to be no different… Ross Boatshed- Summer Bay “This is fantastic Frank thanks” Michael said as he looked at how Frank had organized the desk and labeled where the accounts recievables and accounts payables would go “So when the invoices come in, just put them here so it makes it easy to see what needs to be paid out” Frank said proud at the progress he had made in the last few hours “This is going to make a big difference. I’m really glad to have you on board” Michael said “No worries” Frank said and he looked up to see Greg looking at him “Look, I know that you and Greg are not the best of friends, but I feel like I need to say this to you as well. I don’t want any problems between the two of you” Michael said “You wont get any problems from me” Frank said as he looked at Michael “I know that being around Maurice is going to be hard for you, considering what happened with your sister” Michael said as Frank exhaled and looked over at Revhead “You wont get any problems from me” Frank said as he looked at Michael “Good..can we make your days Monday, Wednesday and Friday? Michael said “Yeah, that will be alright” Frank said “Now the hours” Michael said “As long as I can take my daughter to school, and pick her up, any time between that works for me..but I still have a lot of the book keeping to do, to get you up to date” Frank said “Alright, how about we continue with 9-1?” Michael said “Alright” Frank said “And well..if you don’t mind, can you pay these guys and yourself on Fridays?” Michael said “Yeah, no problem” Frank said “Ill show you where the cheque books and banking information are on Friday” Michael said “Ok…do you mind if I head off now, I can pick up where I left off on Friday. It’s my daughters first day at kindy, and I want to get home and do a few things before I go and pick her up” Frank said “Of course. You’ve already done so much today, I cant believe how everything is so organized” Michael said as Greg looked at them trying to hide his annoyance “I’ll see you on Friday” Frank said as he walked away making eye contact with Greg… City Prison- The City Jeff watched as the vistors walked into the visotrs room. Hen breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Narelle walking towards him “Hi” Jeff said as Narelle said opposite him. She wasn’t even sure why she was here. When she got his letter she initially threw it away. “Thanks for coming” Jeff said as he went to grab Narelles hand. She moved her hand away leaving Jeff disappointed Background music- Have you ever been alone “I wasn’t sure if you wanted to see me” Jeff said as he smiled at Narelle “I don’t, but I only came here for one reason” Narelle said “What?” Jeff said “Why did you leave me alone when I was overdosing? I could’ve died…and you just left me there” Narelle said as tears formed in her eyes “I panicked…I was scared..I didn’t know what to do…I was stupid…and I’m sorry for what I did..I truly am” Jeff said as Narelle looked at him. Here she was sitting across from the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with…her dream man. However he wasn’t any of that..he forced her to do drugs and left her when she overdosed “I love you Narelle” Jeff said and Narelle shook her head no “No you don’t..you know, Ive dated a lot of guys and meeting you…I thought I had finally met the man of my dreams. You were everything I wanted in my life. I was thinking aout our future..where we woul d live..the kids we would have” Narelle said as a tear ran down her cheek “We can still have all of that. I made a mistake Narelle, but I love you” Jeff said and Narelle wiped her cheek and shook her head no “No you don’t..if you loved me you never wouldve left me alone” Narelle said “What can I do to make it up to you?” Jeff said “Nothing…its over between us. Please don’t write to me again” Narelle said and she stood up “Narelle please” Jeff said and Narelle turned and looked at him “Goodbye Jeff” Narelle said and she walked away as a tear ran down her cheek. As Jeff watched her walk away flashbacks of how they met at the new years eve party in Summer bay and all the good times he had with her flooded his mind…and now all that was gone and it was his fault. He failed everyone who he was responsible for. His brother…and now Narelle “Let’s go Samuels” The prison guard said. Jeff got up from his seat as the guard put handcuffs on him and a tear ran down his cheek as he walked back to his cell. Caravan park- Summer Bay “Sorry for interrupting” Frank said as he walked into the house to see Finlay and Lance kissing on the couch “Oh sorry” Finlay said as she pushed Lance off her and got up from the couch “G’day Frankie” Lance said and smiled “Where’s Chris?” Frank said annoyed “Taking a nap” Finlay said as she watched Frank go into the kitchen “Do you want me to make you some lunch” Finlay said as she got up from the couch “Nah, I ate already” Frank said as he opened the fridge and took out a can of coke “Frankie, do you wanna go out later?” Lance said “No thanks…has Carly been here?” Frank said “No, not today” Finlay said then Frank walked away holding his coke and the lunchbox as Finlay watched him walk away. She smiled to herself…maybe he was jealous she thought. “Come on, he’s gone now” Lance said as he pulled Finlay’s shorts “No, I think you better go now..I feel funny with him in the house now” Finlay said “Why? Do you have the hots for Frankie boy?” Lance said “No..its just that I’m supposed to be looking after Christopher, not laying on the couch and kissing you” Finlay said “Yeah well, waste of time having the hots for him, he only loves Bobby” Lance said as he walked out of the house leaving Finlay jealous about what he just said…. Lucini Residence Summer Bay “Thanks Mrs Stewart” Carly said and she put the phone down. And rested her head on the back of the couch. She mustve fallen asleep, because the phone woke her up and now she had a headache. Carly sighed as she put her hand up to her forehead and closed her eyes. She wished that when she opened them again, this nightmare she was living would be over, and she would be back to being in a happy place…. Background music ends Diner- Summer Bay “G’day Mrs Stewart” Ailsa looked up to see Nick and a young man “Hello Nick, what can I get you?” Ailsa said “Just two chocolate milkshakes to start” Nick said “Coming up” Ailsa said “Oh by the way this is my brother Shane..he’s visitng for a few days” Nick said “Hello Shane…welcome to Summer Bay” Ailsa said “G’day” Shane said and smiled “Why don’t you have a seat, and ill bring over your milkshakes” Ailsa said and Nick nodded and he and Shane sat at an empty table and chair “I thought you wouldve lost your touch” Shane said “Never, footy is in the blood” Nick said “Two milkshakes?” Shannon said “Thanks Shannon” Nick said as she put the two milkshakes on the table as Shane stared at her “We’ll be ready to order in a few minutes” Nick said “Alright, I’ll bring you over some menus” Shannon said and she walked away “Who is that?” Shane said as he looked at his brother “No one you need to get to know…you’re going home soon…remember” Nick said as he drank his milkshake. Shane looked at him and rank his milkshake..he wasn’t going anywhere he thought to himself and smiled… Primary School- Summer Bay Frank waited by the gate as the children came out, he looked at the door to see if Sophie was coming “Hi Uncle Frank” Frank looked down to see Sam holding his school bag and a picture he drew “Hello mate” Frank said “Are you picking me up today?” Sam said “No, your dad will be here in a minute, go and wait inside” Frank said as Sam looked at him “Ok” Sam said and he turned and walked back into the school. A few moments later, Sophie came out “Hi sweetheart. Did you have a good day?” Frank said and bent down as they got closer. Sophie immediately wrapped her arms around her dad. She was happy to see him “Hello are you Sophie’s dad” Frank looked up to see a teacher smiling at him “Yes” Frank said as he stood up. Sophie wrapped her arms around his waist “I’m Beth Armstrong, one of Sophies teachers” Beth said and put her hand out. Frank shook her hand and immediately noticed how soft it was “Frank Morgan…is there something wrong?” Frank said “Sophie had a little bit of a hard time mixing with the other children today..I understand that she is new to the school, and it will take some time” Beth said “Yeah” Frank said “However, there were times where she would sit under the table, she didn’t want to talk to anybody , she cried a few times..” Beth said and Frank sighed “Her mum and I were concerned about this” Frank said feeling disappointed that he was not doing well as a parent “And based on the little we did today, shes a bit behind in terms of where she should be in writing the alphabet and numbers…I don’t want to alarm you but I suspect she might have a learning disability” Beth said in a whisper and Frank sighed “How do you know?” Frank said “Just based on the way she wrote…but it may be a bit too early to tell” Beth said “So what can we do?” Frank said “Well here is some homework I would like you to try. Maybe Sophie will be a bit more comfortable doing this at home” Beth said and she gave Frank a green folder. He opened it briefly to see some papers inside “Thanks” Frank said “I also want to suggest something else” Beth said “What?” Frank said To make Sophie feel more comfortable, can you or her mum maybe come and assist with the class for few hours over the next few days.?” Beth said and Sophie looked up at Frank “I’ll talk it over with her mum” Frank said “We used to do this at my old school with new students. We find that it helps to get used to being left at school, especially kindy” Beth said “Right..so you’re not from here?” Frank said “No, I’m from the city. I took a six month secondment here after I finished my Masters degree” Beth said “What about you?” Beth said as she looked at Frank. “I just moved back here from America” Frank said “Welcome home” Beth said “Thanks” Frank said and smiled “Ms Armstrong” Frank turned around to see Greg standing behind him “We better get going, bye” Frank said then he looked at Greg and walked away with Sophie.. Summer Bay Background music- Frank and Bobby’s theme “Thanks” Frank said as he took the icecreams from the seller. He and Sophie walked the short distance to the bench and they sat down. Frank gave Sophie her icecream and he removed her backpack from his shoulder and put it down next to him. He watched as Sophie began to devour the ice cream and he smiled “Sweetheart, we need to talk about school today” Frank said and looked at Sophie and she stopped eating the ice cream and sighed “You want to tell me why you were upset today at school” Frank said and looked at Sophie who didn’t respond “Did you play with the other kids?” Frank said and Sophie shook her head no . It hurt him to know that his daughter was not happy, and that she might have a learning disability. He thought about what the teacher said about him or Bobby coming to the school. He would jump at the chance to be in school all day with his daughter, but he thought that doing that might make things worse “Come here” Frank said and he picked Sophie up and sat her on his knee “I know you had a rough day today, the first day of school is always a rough day…but tomorrow is going to be better ok” Frank said Sophie looked at him. Frank sighed. Maybe Mrs Malloy was right, maybe he and Bobby were not experienced enough to deal with Sophie, but he loved her too much not to try “I promise things are going to get better ok” Frank said as Sophie looked at him. He gently kissed her nose and looked at her then she nodded “I love you ok?” Frank said and Sophie nodded and began to eat her icecream as Frank thought about the future, and vowing to never do anything to hurt his daughter…. Background music ends Stewart Residence- Summer Bay “I think this is the outfit for my date” Sandra said as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was going to wear some jeans and one of Emma's tops and jacket “What do you think?” Sandra said and she turned around when Emma didn’t respond “Yeah, it looks alright” Emma said “Are you sure?” Sandra said “Yeah” Emma said “I was thinking of doing my hair like this” Sandra said and she pulled her hair into a high ponytail which made her look older “Yeah, its nice” Emma said noticing how different Sandra looked with her hair up and the clothes she was wearing. “Dinner is ready” Ailsa said as she walked into the room “Sandra, I nearly didn’t recognize you” Ailsa said and Sandra smiled “Maurice is taking me out to the movies on Saturday, and this is what I’m going to wear” Sandra said as Ailsa forced a smile. She wasn’t happy about Sandra dating someone who was much older than her “How are you feeling Emma?” Ailsa said “not much difference” Emma said “Well let me know if you get worse, you might have to go to the doctor” Ailsa said “Ok” Emma said “Did you tell Maurice that we would like to have him over for dinner?” Ailsa said “Yes, he said thanks, he will come” Sandra said “You sure you don’t want to invite anyone Emma?” Ailsa said “No” Emma said “Nick Parrish has a younger brother, I met him today. He’s probably about your age” Ailsa said “I’m not interested in anyone right now Aunt Ailsa” Emma said “Well he’s in town for a few days in case you change your mind. He seems like a really nice young man” Ailsa said and she winked at Sandra and walked out of the room. “Why not Emma?” Sandra said “I’m just not interested” Emma said “It will be fun, maybe we can all go out together” Sandra said “I SAID I’M NOT INTERESTED” Emma said “Sorry, I was just trying to be helpful” Sandra said and she shook her head and walked out of the room. Emma sighed. She didn’t mean to bite Sandra;s head of but she wasn’t interested in anyone..the only person she wanted was David and he was now gone… Caravan Park- Summer Bay “Hi” Bobby said as she came into the house. Sophies eyes lit up when her mum came into the room. She hadn’t seen her all day and missed her “Hi sweetheart” Pippa said as Bobby walked into the house and over to Sophie “Hi Honey” Bobby said and she kissed Sophie on the head and looked at Frank “Hi” Bobby said “Hi” Frank said “Do you want some dinner?” Pippa said “No thanks” Bobby said as she sat next to Sophie who rested her shoulder on her mums arm “I was going to bring Sophie home after dinner” Frank said “I know, but I was passing so I thought I would just come over” Bobby said and smiled “How were you rinterviews? I was trying to catch the one this morning during break” Pippa said “I think I;m starting to get used to them, so they are not that bad. The station will get me copies of the interviews like last time” Bobby said “Please make sure to get me a copy for my collection” Pippa said proudly and Bobby smiled “How was school today” Bobby said and Sophie put her fork down and hugged Bobby “Today was a bit of a tough day” Frank said and Bobby sighed “Frank maybe we should’ve kept her at home longer” Bobby said as she stroked Sophies hair “I don’t think that is the solution..anyway, I spoke to her teacher and she gave some ideas , we can talk about it later” Frank said “I’m going up to do my homework” Steve said “But you haven’t finished your food” Pippa said “I’m not really hungry” Steve said “Alright..Ill wrap your dinner up, maybe you might be hungry later on” Pippa said as Steve got up from the table “Thanks” Steve said and he walked away. When Frank heard him close the bedroom door he looked at Pippa “Is he alright?” Frank said “I think so…why?” Pippa said “He seems very different since I got back” Frank said “Hes a teenager, I recall going through the mood swings with both of you” Pippa said and smiled as her and Bobby looked at each other..

Thanks for reading Chapter 503 Stewart Residence- Summer Bay Emma threw up once more into the toilet then she flushed it. She closed the toilet lid and sat on it. She felt awful. It was the pie she brought from the school canteen she thought to herself. It was probably not cooked all the way through “Emma..are you alright” Ailsa said as she knocked the bathroom door. Emma got up from the toilet and opened the door “Yeah. I got a pie from the canteen at school yesterday, and I think I got food poisoning” Emma said “Oh no…do you want to stay off school? Ill let Mr Fisher know” Ailsa said “No, I have a test this morning” Emma said “Are you sure?” Ailsa said concerned “Yeah” Emma said “Alright then, but if you get worse later on, make sure you come straight home” Ailssa said “Ok, thanks” Emma said and smiled then she closed the bathroom door and leaned against the door and sighed. .. Barnett Residence- Summer Bay “You sure you don’t mind him being here?” Nick said as he and Greg stood in the kitchen looking at Shane who was fast asleep on the couch “Of course not mate, he’s you little brother” Greg said as he drank his coffee “He’s a little pain in the neck, that’s what he is” Nick said and rolled his eyes as Greg laughed. Nick turned and looked at him “You’re in a good mood this morning” Nick said “Yeah, I talked to Bobby last night and everything is alright between us. It really was my fault..I was jealous over this whole Sophie thing and Frank being around when I didn’t have any need to be. You know I feel kind of stupid thinking about it. Bobby loves me and I love her...anyway, I better get to work” Greg said “Alright mate, see you later” Nick said as Greg walked out of the house. Nick sighed as he stood in front of the couch and shook his head as Shane snored “Oi” Shane said and opened his eyes and raised his head up. The cushion hitting his head woke him up “Get up” Nick said “Ahh come on, its too early” Shane said and laid back down “I said get up. You’re not going to lay around all day” Nick said and he threw another pillow at Shane “Ok ok ok, this is worse than living at home” Shane said and he sat up “Don’t get comfortable here, you’re heading back home later on” Nick said then he walked away and Shane laid back on the couch, sighed and looked at the ceiling… Kindergarten- Summer Bay “Sam, your dad will pick you up later ok?” Bobby said then she kissed the top of his head “Ok” Sam said then he ran off into the school building. Frank bent down in front of Sophie who had her new backpack on her back and was wearing her new clothes and shoes. “Ok so you got your lunch” Frank said and Sophie nodded reluctantly “You got your pencil case and your book” Frank said and Sophie nodded “Bobby smiled like a proud parent as she watched Frank asking Sophie if she had everything she needed for school Frank hugged her and kissed her on her forehead then Bobby bent down and kissed her on her forehead too “Hello Sophie” Sophie looked around to see her new teacher standing behind her “I’ll take her in now” The teacher said as she gently held Sophie's hand. Sophie didn’t want to go. She didn’t want to leave her new mum and dad. She was scared to go to school and see all the other children. “Its ok sweetheart, I’ll be back to pick you up later on ok” Frank said and he could see that Sophie didn’t want to “She’ll be fine..come on Sophie” The teacher said and Sophie didn’t move. Frank bent down and then he whispered something into her ear and she nodded then he kissed her cheek then she walked away with the teacher “What did you say to her?” Bobby said curiously “I just reminded her that I’ll take her for an ice cream later on that’s all” Frank said and smiled “Thanks” Bobby said “You don’t need to thank me, she's my daughter too” Frank said as Bobby looked at him “Anyway, I better go..I have to get to the city for this interview” Bobby said “You look great” Frank said as he looked at Bobby who was wearing a dark blue suit “Thanks” Bobby said and blushed “Ill give Sophie her dinner, and bring her home later on” Frank said “Ok” Bobby said “Good luck today..you know with your job at the boatshed” Bobby said as she got into the car “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure not to spoil Gregs good looks when I beat him up” Frank said “Frank” Bobby said “Ok ok, Ill behave myself” Frank said “Good..oh I nearly forgot” Bobby said as she reached into the backseat of the car “ I made you some lunch..if you want it” Bobby said and she gave Frank a Spiderman lunch box, one of Sam's lunch boxes that she had bought for him when he first started school. Frank smiled. When he was younger, Spiderman was his favourite. He was surprised that Bobby even remembered. “Thanks” Frank said “Ill see you later” Bobby said then she started the engine and drove away.. Barnett Residence- Summer Bay Nick rolled his eyes at as he watched his brother slurping the milk as he ate his cereal “Alright..thanks” Nick said and he put the phone down “Well?” Shane said “I spoke to the officer in charge and he said one of your mates confessed that you had nothing to do with it” Nick said and Shane began celebrating “See I told you I had nothing to do with it. I knew you would get me out of trouble” Shane said with a big smile on his face “Now you’re in the clear, I’ll book you on the first train home” Nick said and Shane's smile disappeared “Nick I don’t want to go back” Shane said “But you cant stay here, there isn’t enough room, besides you have to go back to school. This is an important year because you’re doing your HSC next year” Nick said “If I go back, all I’m going to do is keep getting into trouble with my mates or at home. Dad never lets me do anything” Shane said as Nick looked at him. He remembered how strict his dad was when he was growing up. Both his parents were always interring in his life, so he jumped at the opportunity when his uncle told him about the job here. Nick sighed. “The only reason I get into lots of trouble with my mates is because you’re not at home anymore” Shane said and Nick started feeling guilty “I miss you so much Nick” Shane said and Nick sighed “Alright…you can stay until the weekend” Nick said. “Thanks…you’re the best big brother” Shane said with a big smiled “I’m going to get changed, then we can go and kick a footy on the beach” Nick said “Yeah” Shane said as he watched Nick walk away then he began laughing and shaking his head “Too easy” Shane said and smiled as he ate his cereal. Diner- Summer Bay Ailsa reached to get the napkins that were put on the top shelf in the pantry. “Here, let me get it” Grant said and he reached up and grabbed the packet of napkins then he looked down at Ailsa “Thank you” Ailsa said as she looked at Grant “Sorry about that. I put them up there because there wasn’t enough space” Grant said and smiled. As Ailsa looked at him she could feel her body wanting to be with him, and before she knew it she grabbed him and began to kiss him. It was dangerous, but she didn’t care “Ailsa, phone call for you” Colleen called out and they stopped kissing “Ok Colleen, I’ll be right there” Ailsa said and she looked at Grant “I better get that” Ailsa said and she walked out of the diner and wiped her mouth. Grant sighed as he stood in the pantry. If he was really honest with himself it wasn’t that he was attracted to Ailsa, he just missed being close to someone, and having a relationship. He knew Megan was around, and she was a nice girl, but they were not compatible..not like he was with Bronwyn…the only woman he ever loved… Ross Boatshed- Summer Bay “Great, thanks” Michael said as he walked out of the shed and Greg looked up and got a shock “What..what’s he doing here?” Greg said as he noticed Frank sitting at a desk in the shed “He’s going to be helping out by doing the paperwork and the book keeping. I tried but I’m hopeless at this stuff” Michael said “You’re joking right?” Greg said annoyed “No..why?” Michael said confused “You know who he is right?” Greg said “look I’m not interested in being a referee for you two, if you cant take him being here, well you know what you can do” Michael said and Greg looked at Frank “Ok..I have no problem” Greg said “Good..I’m going to the wholesaler I’ll be later” Michael said and he walked away as Greg and Frank made eye contact with each other… TV Station- The City Background music- Frank and Bobby’s theme Bobby smiled as the presenter thanked her for the interview, wished her all the best in her career and the desert she had made for the presenters. She couldn’t focus, and she hoped it didn’t come across on TV. Not that she was nervous, she had done so many interviews. She was concerned about Sophie and wondered if her and Frank did the right thing letting her go to school so soon. She also hoped that Frank and Greg wouldn’t have any problems at work. Bobby smiled and nodded as her guide from the NSW council informed her of other interviews she had this week, but none of that mattered…she wanted to be home…with her family right now… Primary School- Summer Bay Sophie took out her bag from her cubicle and took out her lunch box. She put the bag back into the cubicle and went into the kindergarten lunch room. All the other children were talking and laughing. None of them spoke to her today. She could even see Sam sitting at another table eating lunch with his friends. Sophie sat on a chair in the corner and opened her lunch box. Her mum had made her sandwiches and she had some apple juice and water, an orange and some chocolate. Sophie wasn’t hungry. She didn’t want to be here, Sophie thought to herself as a tear ran down her cheek. She wanted to be at home with her new mum and dad.. Diner- Summer Bay “Greg” Greg turned around to see Ailsa coming out of the diner. She walked over to him and wiped down the table next to him “How are you?” Ailsa said “Good” Greg saying forcing a smile “Its really exciting about the graduation on Saturday..It just feels like yesterday that Bobby was a snotty nosed kid, and now here she is with a degree” Ailsa said proudly “Yeah” Greg said forcing a smiled “Do you know what Bobby has planned for after the graduation..I was thinking of having a party. Greg looked at the sandwich on the table. He lost his appetite. He picked the sandwich up and put it in the bin and began to walk back to the boatshed… Boatshed- Summer Bay Frank put his his pen down. He felt like he had been working none stop. He was actually enjoying himself, sort of reminded him of when he was working for Macklin's. Michaels accounts were all in a mess. It was going to take him at least a few days of working here to catch up. Frank looked at the lunch box on the side of the table and picked it up. He smiled as he opened it. Bobby had packed him a lunch of sandwiches, a can of coke, and a packet of crisps. As Frank unwrapped the sandwiches his mind started drifting Flashback Bobby- Hi Frank- Hi, what are you doing here? It was a perfect ham and cheese sandwich. Look if we’re both going to work here, I thought I should at least apologized for what happened” Revhead said “I don’t want any apology from you. No mater how hard he tried, it was really difficult to get everyone to give him a second chance. Revhead began to smile as he thought about Sandra, and how much they liked each other. That made being in Summer Bay worth it… High School- Summer Bay Emma sipped the water in the bottle and sat on the bench. She was still feeling ill. Even though she was hungry, she had not eaten anything incase she felt like being sick again “How are you?” Emma looked up to see Sandra sitting next to her “Alright” Emma said “Its really good that Maurice is off his curfew now, we’re going out on a real date on Saturday…to watch a movie” Sandra said “Good for you” Emma said “I can ask Maurice if he has a friend for you” Sandra said excited “No thanks” Emma said and rolled her eyes “Can you borrow me something to wear?” Sandra said “Why cant you wear your own clothes?” Emma said “I’ve never been out with anyone older before..I just don’t want to look like a kid….and your stuff id way cooler than mine” Sandra said as Emma looked at her and sighed “Alright” Emma said as the school bell rang. “Come on we better go or we’ll be late for Mr Fisher” Sandra said and both girls stood up and began to walk into the school building Background music ends

She took milk out of the fridge and put it on the table. She then took some sugar out of the cupboard. Greg put some milk and sugar in one of the tea cups and picked up a spoon and stirred it. Greg sighed as he followed Fiona out of the kitchen. They walked over to the couch where Greg sat on the three seater and Fiona said in an armchair opposite him. Greg drank some of his tea as Fiona looked at him Background music – Greg and Bobby’s theme “I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to be nosey…its just that I noticed your mood change” Fiona said “No its fine, you’re not being nosey…its just that things are bit rocky with my girlfriend at the moment” Greg said and Fiona felt herself getting sad. Bobby put the book she reading to Sam on the bookshelf, turned the light off and pulled the door to a close. She quietly walking over to Sophies room, and stood by the door to see Frank pulling the blanket over her. He put the book he read on the side table and turned the light off. Frank turned around to see Bobby standing at the doorway “I hope she’s going to be alright tomorrow” Bobby said as they both walked down the stairs “Yeah me too” Frank said “Are you sure you can pick her up from school tomorrow?” Bobby said “Yeah..I can pick up Sam too if you want” Frank said as Bobby looked at him “Oh, I think its best if I make other arrangements for Sam” Bobby said “Why? If Greg can’t understand that, then maybe we shouldn’t be together” Bobby said as Grant looked at Bobby as she poured the milk into her cup and sighed.. I am glad you got a chance to talk about how you feel” Fiona said “Yeah, I really should apologize to Bobby. I am being really selfish with this whole Sophie thing. She didn’t ask to be brought into all this…and well if Frank is her dad, I just have to accept that” Greg said “I think it does more harm not accepting it than it does when you do accept it” Fiona said “Are you sure you want to do design? You should think about counseling instead” Greg said as he got into the truck and looked at Fiona who smiled “Well Thanks again..night” Greg said “Good night” Fiona said as she watched Greg start the car and reverse out of the drive way. She waved him with one hand then she folded her arms and watched him until his car was far off in the distance. Fiona sighed then she went into her house and closed the door. She put the lock on and walked towards her son’s room. She opened the door and picked up the book that Greg read to him and put it at the end of the bed. She bent down and kissed him and walked out of the room. She sighed as she took the clip out of her hair, and let her hair fall past her shoulders. Maybe Greg was right, maybe it did seem like she was neglecting him and Sam, but it was to make sure Sophie was not taken away from her and Frank. “Maybe some of this is my fault. I know I’ve been putting Sophie first, buts only because we need to get her settled. The department needs to know that Frank and I can look after her…otherwise they will take her from us..its really important that Frank and I make this work” Bobby said. Thomas was taken away and she didn’t want Sophie taken away too. Greg noticed tears forming in her eyes. “I’m sorry..I guess I didn’t realize how important this is to you…but I should’ve known, considering I saw how you fought to keep Sam with you when I turned up” Greg said then he bent down and kissed Bobby on her cheek “I promise I’ll be more understanding from now on” Greg said hoping that he would be able to contain his jealousy, and hatred towards Frank “Thanks” Bobby said and smiled as she reminded herself that she loved Greg and she loved Sam, and she wasn’t going to do anything to jeopardize the future with them.. “ I wasn’t sure if you were going to come here today…Sam asked for you” Bobby said “Did he..I just went for a drive…you know to think things through..but I’m glad I realized how stupid I’ve been…I don’t want to lose you Bobby..I love you” Greg said and he put his arms around Bobby “I love you too” Bobby said and Greg kissed her and smiled… Background music ends

She was in her final week of her programme but fortunately Dr Routledge put a good word in for her to get a scholoarship, so she was going to be starting a specialized course in paediatrics. Pippa made a note at the top of her notepad to study up on some of the terms she learned today “G’day” Pippa looked up to see Dr Routledge “I noticed you writing some extra notes down, do you need some help with anything?” Dr Routledge said “No thanks, I just wanted to look up some of the terms of liver disease..i’ll be fine” Pippa said and smiled “I’m glad you are taking me up on my job offer, but I have some bad news” Dr Routledge said “Oh?” Pippa said “Yes, unfortunately, I was hoping that we would get into the new offices in two weeks, but there is some building inspections that need to be done” Dr Routledge said “Oh sorry to hear that” Pippa said a bit disappointed because she wanted to start earning an income again “So am I. Right now the inspectors said we cant get in there for two months” Dr Routledge said “That is a shame” Pippa said Its not all bad news, for the time being we can start seeing patients at my house until the building is ready..there is more than enough space” Dr Routledge said “Ok” Pippa said “For the time being, I can offer you part time, that will allow you to be able to complete your pediatrics training then hopefully, full time when you finish” Dr Routledge said “Thank you Dr Routledge, I really appreciate this opportunity, and recommending me for the scholarship” Pippa said as she looked at Dr Routledge who was staring at her “You’re welcome” Dr Routledge said “I’m just heading off to the diner, I really enjoy their toasted sandwiches” Dr Routledge said “No thanks, I want to do some reading” Pippa said and Dr Routledge began to walk away “Oh by the way, I met your daughter last week, she brought a little girl in” Dr Routledge said “Yes, Bobby, she’s actually the co-owner of the diner” Pippa said proudly “Is she? Sophie held her dads hand tight as they stood outside the classroom. She looked through the window and she could see the children at their desks. She could see Sam drawing and she could see the teacher who just came outside. She had never been to school before and was feeling very scared. Maybe her new mum and dad would leave her here. Sophie sighed as they walked away and went into an office. They all sat down while Bobby filled out the school form while Frank sat next to her with Sophie sitting in between them, Sophie watched as the administrator gave Bobby a list of school supplies that Sophie would be needing as well as other important information such as vaccinations which Sophie needed to have, if she didnt. Frank and Bobby thanked the administrator and walked out of the office “I guess we have a lot to learn about parenting, I didn’t even think to check if she had been vaccinated” Bobby said “I think we can find out from Mrs Malloy. Maybe she can track down Sophie’s medical records” Frank said “I doubt she has any, but its worth a shot. I can do that from the resort” Bobby said as they walked to the car “Ok, well I’ll go and get these school supplies” Frank said looking at the list “Ok, drop me off at the resort, and you can take the car” Bobby said “Thanks” Frank said as he looked at Bobby “Come on Sophie, get in so I can put your belt on” Bobby said and Sophie nodded and she got into the car. Just as Frank was about to get into the car he looked up to see Greg driving by and they made eye contact. Greg stared at Frank then he drove away “Is there something wrong?” Bobby said “No, nothing” Frank said then he got into the drives seat, started the engine and drove away… Ross Residence- Summer Bay Celia looked inside her bag. She took everything out and looked inside the empty bag and sighed. She was sure that she had $20 but for some reason she couldn’t find it. Celia put all the things back in the bag and closed it. She just remembered that Alf was looking for the extra lantern so she walked out of the room and into the garage. Celia looked around the garage for the lantern. It was a tight squeeze with their dads old car in the way. Celia looked and could see the the lantern in the back. She stretched her arm out and as she grabbed it, a box fell, and the pictures that were inside well on the floor. “Oh bother” Celia said and she bent down and proceeded to pick up the photos. Background music- Stewart Family theme As she picked up each photo and looked at them, they reminded her of different times in her life. A photo of her and her sisters sitting on the beach, a photo of her as a bridesmaid at her sister Debra’s wedding, a photo of her on the last day of high school, a photo of her and her fiancé Les. Celia felt like time had stood still as she looked at the photo. She remembered the day they took the photo, it was the day left for Vietnam. Tears came to Celia’s eyes as she remembered the day she got the call telling her that Les had been killed. It was a day that changed her life forever..in ways that she would never ever forget… Background music ends Summer Bay Frank stopped at the traffic light. He made a note to make sure to get Bobby some petrol. He had not intended to go to Yabbie Creek, but some of the things on the supplies list were out of stock locally, and he wanted to make sure Sophie had everything she need to start school tomorrow. Frank looked through the rear view mirror at Sophie who was sitting in the back and smiled. He knew that he always wanted to be a parent, but he never imagined he would feel the way he does for Sophie. “How about we go and see your mum and have some lunch” Frank said and Sophie looked up and nodded. Frank smiled. He loved his family…he loved being a dad, and no one was ever going to break that up. Frank smiled as the light changed to green and he drove away… Harris Residence- Kiama Greg parked the tow truck outside the house. He looked around, and was sure this was the right place. He got out of the car, and walked up to the front door and knocked. He stood there for a few moments and figured he might’ve had the wrong house. Tomorrow is going to be really good..you're just going to be there for a little while. Sam is in your class so you can play with him, and your mum is going to make you some nice sandwiches. The teacher is really nice, and when you finish school, i'll pick you up and we can go and get some ice cream ok” Frank said and Sophie wiped her face and looked at Frank then she nodded and layed her head on Frank’s chest as Bobby gently patted Sophie's back "Thank you for being here for our daughter" Bobby said "Ill always be here" Frank said as he gently rested his hand on Bobby's and rested his chin on Sophie's head and looked out of the window as Bobby looked at Sophie and Frank feeling grateful for the family she always wanted... Harris Residence- Kiama “This is really good, thanks” Greg said as he ate the sheperds pie that Fiona gave him for dinner. Her cooking wasn’t as good as Bobby’s but it was still really nice “Thanks” Fiona said and smiled “Oh, better tuck your napkin in, or you’ll get food on your shirt” Greg said as he wiped Fiona;s son’s mouth and tucked a napkin into his t-shirt. Fiona looked at the interaction and smiled. It had been a long time since her son’s father left and it was nice to have a man around..even if it was just for dinner…. Barnett Residence- Summer Bay Nick took his hat off and put it on the table. It had been a long day. He sighed as he took a bottle of beer out of the fridge. If he was honest with himself, he didn’t know how he was feeling. He was disappointed because he thought that he had finally found someone he loved, but she decided to walk away. As Nick opened the beer he thought that maybe he should try a long distance relationship, but as he drank the beer reality set in, he knew it wasn’t going to work Knock on the door Nick drank the beer as he walked towards the front door. She sighed and opened her eyes and looked at the ceiling then at the clock on the bedside table. She started drinking when she heard Ben walk out of the house for work…when he told her she couldn’t be with her family, and mustve fallen asleep when the bottle was finished. This was starting to be a new normal for her, drinking as much as she could when she was alone. Carly tried to get up but her head started spinning and she dropped back down on the bed again and began to cry. She didn’t even know who she was anymore, nothing felt right. She was stuck in a life she created for herself, one she thought she wanted. A few moments later Frank and Bobby came into the room. Sophie walked over to them and she rested her head on Bobbys side “Hi sweetheart, we missed you” Bobby said as she sat on the couch next to Frank. Frank picked Sophie up and she sat on his lap and hugged him. Frank kissed her forehead and rested his head on Sophies head. The more people she can be around and learn new experiences, that will definitely help her healing process. One thing that is very obvious is that she needs a lot of love” Dr Murphy “And we are going to give it to her” Frank said and Sophie hugged his neck tighter “I’m sure you will. I would like to see you all in a couple of weeks. Hopefully by then with Sophie mixing with other children at school, we will be able to start breaking down some of those barriers” Dr Murphy “Do we have to give her any medicine or anything like that?” Bobby said “I wouldn’t recommend anything just yet. He was actually the one who founded Summer Bay. He came here on a ship with the rest of his army mates. He was originally from Scotland and over there it was winter, but it was summer here, so as a running joke he named here Summer Bay” Alf said with a big smile “It must’ve been really cool growing up as a kid knowing that your family found this place” Shaunna said “It definitely had its perks” Alf said with a wink “What about the caravan park?” Shaunna said “Oh the caravan park, I built that when my wife was pregnant with our daughter. I thought it would be a way to get some extra income coming in. However she passed away a few years ago and it became a bit much for me and my daughter, so I sold it to the Fletchers” Alf said “Any particular reason why you sold it to them?” Shaunna said “They were moving here from the city, and saw a good opportunity. Pip has done a good job to to keep the place going since Tom died” Alf said “It must have been really hard for her to lose her husband” Shaunna said as she sighed “Yeah, it was hard on all of us. She knew that the sauce was a bit burnt. She was still hung over and had a headache. She composed herself and used a spoon to sprinkle some cheese onto the meal that Ben was going to eat Background music- Carly’s theme “Have you been drinking?” Ben said “No, I just have a bit of a headache” Carly said “So why do you smell like alcohol?” Ben said “I spilled some of the vodka on me when I put some in the sauce” Carly said as Ben looked at her. Carly held onto the table as she walked over to the kitchen and picked up her plate. She was concentrating hard so that she wouldn’t fall over because she felt very light headed. Ben put some of the spaghetti in his mouth, it dint taste great but it was better than nothing “I need some work done to my car” Ben said and he looked at Carly “The diner after dark isn’t going to open until the weekend. I wont have any money until then” Carly said and sighed “You got your trust fund money” Ben said as he looked at Carly and chewed his food “Ben, I told you I don’t really like using that money” Carly said “Well you better like it because I said I need some work down to my car” Ben said “I’ll ask Frank to do it, he will probably do it for free if I ask him” Carly said and Ben looked at her and got angry then he picked up the food in front of him and threw it on the floor. The crashing of the plate made Carly jump. When she looked up she could see Ben walking towards her and she got up but it was too late he grabbed her and she closed her eyes “Clean the floor” Ben said then he let go of Carly and she fell to the floor. She watched as Frank Sophie and Sam sat on the couch watching playschool. Frank and Sam were singing along with the male presenter who had dark hair while Sophie watched and hung onto Frank. Bobby smiled to herself as she thought back to all the arguments that her and Frank had about her wanting to go to Uni. Maybe if she had gone at that time, things would be so different. Her life would be different. Maybe she would be living in the city now, with different friends and a different life. Maybe Frank would’ve left, and never came back “Bobby come and watch Playschool” Sam sad as he turned to see Bobby walk into the house and close the door. Bobby smiled and she sat next to Sam and put her arm around him. From the corner of her eye she could see Frank engaging with Sophie as she watched the Tv. Bobby smiled to herself thankful that everything happened in her life the way that it was meant to be, and now her and Frank had a daughter. Frank turned to look at Bobby and wink and she smiled as they watched TV like the family they had both always wanted… Morgan Residence- New York Roo put the bag of takeaway Italian food on the table as she took her coat off and hung it on the closet door. The apartment was a mess. The once packed boxes where now half open with things everywhere. Roo walked into the bathroom and pulled her hair back with the band around her wrist. She washed her hands and face and changed into some tracksuit bottoms and a sweater. Roo walked out of the bathroom and put her hands on her hips as she looked at all the mess in the room. She shook her head and sighed. She had a week to get packed before she moved into her new place. Roo walked into the kitchen and picked up a plate and fork and went back over to the couch. She sat down and began opening the containers and putting the spaghetti and sauce on the plate Knock on the door Roo stopped as he heard the door knock. She wasn’t expecting anyone. She put the container of pasta on the table and licked her finger and walked over to the door. “Who is it?” Roo said “Delivery” Roo heard and was confused. She wasn’t expecting anything. She put the chain on the door and slowly opened it to a surprise “So, are you going to let me in” Donavan said and smiled. Roo closed the door and undid the chain and opened the door again “Donavan, what are you doing here? Roo said and she leaned forward and hugged Donavan “I have a few meetings here, and thought I would surprise you” Donavan said as he walked into the apartment and closed the door “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming..this place is a mess” Roo said embarrassed “I don’t mind about the place, I just wanted to see you that’s all” Donavan said as he kissed Roo then she hugged him and smiled to herself. Her life was perfect, and it was only going to get better… Stewart Residence- Summer Bay “Who would’ve thought that Al Simpson had one decent bone in his body” Alf said as he ate his food “Well at least he had the decency to confess and that leaves Maurice in the clear” Ailsa said as she looked at Sandra who smiled “Yeah, he’s really happy about it” Sandra said as Alf looked at Ailsa “Maybe you can invite him over for dinner..we can properly meet him” Ailsa said as she could see Alf getting annoyed “Can I? thanks” Sandra said and smiled “what about you Emma” Alf said and Emma stopped playing with her food and looked up at Alf “Sorry did you say something?” Emma said “I said is there a young man that you want to invite over for dinner?” Alf said and Emma squeezed the leather bracelet in her pocket “No” Emma said and her thoughts drifted away. Greg sighed and walked into the kitchen and stood behind her “Look Bobby..I’m sorry I went over to the caravan park..I’m sorry for saying anything to Frank. I just love you so much you know, and seeing him around here, I feel like the new kid on the block trying to get your attention” Greg said and Bobby turned around “You already have it” Bobby said and Greg held her hand “So why do I get the feeling that you’re not saying the same to Frank” Greg said and Bobby pulled her hands away “If you don’t believe me then there is nothing else to say…” Bobby said and sighed as Greg looked at her then he walked out of the house. A few moments later Frank came walking down the stairs. Bobby looked at him “Sorry, you had to hear all that” Bobby said and she sat down at the dining table “I should be apologizing. It’s my fault..maybe I shouldn’t have said anything” Frank said “No I’m glad you did, Greg has to accept that you are Sophie's dad, and you are going to be around” Bobby said as Frank sat on the chair opposite her “If its going to cause trouble, maybe I shouldn’t come over so much” Frank said “No” Bobby said immediately ..I mean Sophie is your daughter too, you have to be here for her” Bobby said “Yeah, it would hurt me if I couldn’t see her” Frank said as he looked at Bobby “I cant believe Greg actually went, I thought he would want to stay and sort things out” Bobby said as her and frank sat at the dining table “Well I’m still here” Frank said and he gently held Bobby’s hands. She knew that this was wrong but she let him. She didn’t stop Frank when he raised his hand and gently caressed her cheek. She didn’t stop him when he got up and sat on the chair next to her. She didn’t stop him when he kissed her cheek. She didn’t stop him when he kissed her neck which made butterflies jump around her stomach. She didn’t stop him when he kissed her lips. She didn’t stop him when he put his arms around her. She didn’t stop herself from sitting on his lap and putting her arms around his neck as she enjoyed kissing him “Bobby” Sam said from the top of the stairs and they stopped kissing and sighed “Sweetheart get back into bed , and I’ll come up in a minute and tuck you in” Bobby said “Ok” Sam said and they heard him walk back to his room then Frank began to kiss Bobby’s neck again and she pulled away and got up from his lap and he got up and stood behind her “Whats wrong?” Frank said “Frank, nothing has changed between us…Greg and I made a commitment to each other” Bobby said and she turned around “But I’m here and he’s not” Frank said “Frank don’t do this” Bobby said as she folded her arms. Her emotions where all over the place and she knew that if Frank didn’t go, she would end up doing something she shouldn’t. Frank looked at her and sighed “I think you should just go” Bobby said and Frank walked over to the door “Here, take the car” Bobby said as she gave him the keys and their fingers touched “Goodnight” Bobby said “Goodnight” Frank said and walked out of the house and shut the door. He looked up to see the nurse walking out of the room. He looked ahead and noticed that she had brought a tray with food on it and placed it on the bed tray. Al lifted his had up and looked down when he remembered that his hand was still handcuffed to the bed. He sighed and laid back on the pillow and sighed. He didn’t sleep much which was a first for him because he was usually out for the count when his head hit the pillow, but last night was different. Background music- Frank and Bobby’s Theme He replayed over and over in his mind what Bobby asked him. She asked him why he hated her so much. He didn’t answer her, not because he didn’t have a quick witted response, but at that moment he realized that he didn’t even know why... “Well well well Mr Simpson, we meet again” Detective Hunt said as he and an officer walked into the hospital room. Al sighed “I trust the accommodations I requested for you have been satisfactory” Detective Hunt said and smiled as he pointed at the handcuffs on Al’s arm “Very funny” Al said “Trying to kidnap a little girl? Tut tut tut, now would you do that?” Detective Hunt said as he pulled a chair over to the bed and sat down. "She's my daughter" Al said and for a split second a feeling of guilt washed over him. “Tell me what happened at Stewarts point…the truth” Detective Hunt said as he looked at Al. Al stared at Detective Hunt, and for the first time in a long time he knew that he was not going to be able to get out of this. He knew that his past had come back to haunt him in more ways than one “Alright…but before I do that…I need to come clean about something else” Al said as Detective Hunt said stared at him Wellness Centre- The City “Hello can I help you?” The receptionist said as Bobby walked over to the desk “Hi, we have an appointment with Dr Murphy for 10am” Bobby said and she watched as the receptionist open an appointment book “Is the appointment for Sophie Simpson?” The receptionist said “Yes” Bobby said “Ok, please take a seat in the waiting room and doctor will call you in shortly" The receptionist said and smiled “Thanks” Bobby said and Frank, Bobby and Sophie stepped into the waiting room. Frank sat down and Sophie sat next to him clutching her pink teddy bear. Bobby sat next to Sophie and looked around the room It was nice and peaceful. There were some toys in the corner and a table with plants in another corner “Frank and Roberta? I’m Dr Murphy, one of the child psychologists here” Dr Murphy said as she walked into the room. She was an older lady, on the heavier side but she had a nice smile and a pleasant demeanor “Hi” Bobby said “And this must be Sophie? What a pretty young lady you are” Dr Murphy said and Sophie stared at her “Why don’t you all come into my office” Dr Murphy said with a smile as they followed her into her office. Bobby looked around; it was decorated similar to the waiting room. It was a peaceful room, a bit bigger than the waiting room, and it had more toys in the corner “Please have a seat” Dr Murphy said and she lead them to a seating area and Bobby, Frank and Sophie sat on a long couch and Dr Murphy sat opposite them and picked up a clipboard that was on a table next to her chair “Mrs Malloy briefly explained why you would be visiting today. Sounds like Sophie has had an unfortunate time” Dr Murphy said and smiled at Sophie who stared at her “Ill just explain what we are going to do today. At first we will talk, just so I can find out about you both then I would like to have some one on one time with Sophie while you wait in the waiting area, and then we will have some time together after to talk about my findings” Dr Murphy said “Ok” Bobby said “Sophie do you want to go over there and play with the toys?” Dr Murphy said as Sophie looked at Bobby “Its ok sweetheart, you can go” Bobby said and Sophie got up from the chair and went into the corner and sat down at the desk that had toys “So, how did the two of you meet? Dr Murphy said and Frank looked at Bobby “We had the same foster parents” Bobby said “Oh that’s interesting, so you are very familiar with the foster system” Dr Murphy said “Yeah, I have another foster child, Sam, he’s 5” Bobby said proudly “What about you Frank, do you have any children” Dr Murphy said “Just Sophie” Frank said and Dr Murphy smiled “So what made you decide to become foster parents?” Dr Murphy said as she looked at Bobby who began to panic. The way the doctor was looking at her, she felt the doctor may know something about Thomas “We just felt it was the right thing to do, give Sophie a home when she really needed it” Frank said as Bobby exhaled quietly “Yes, fostering must be very rewarding” Dr Murphy said “Sophie feels like she is already our own daughter” Frank said and Dr Murphy looked at her clipboard “Roberta, Sophie is your sister?” Dr Murphy said “Well, adopted sister. My adopted dad is her biological dad” Bobby said “How does that make you feel?” Dr Murphy said “What do you mean?” Bobby said “ making the transition from sister to foster mother?” Dr Murphy said “It feels really natural. Like Frank said, Sophie already feels like she is our daughter” Bobby said and Dr Murphy smile “Are you married?” Dr Murphy said “No” Bobby said and she felt her heart sink “So how is the relationship between the two of you? Part of being parents is having a good relationship for your children to see” Dr Murphy said “Fine..we get on fine” Bobby said and she looked at Frank who was looking at her “Are either of you married?” Dr Murphy said “I’m separated from my wife” Frank said “I’m in a relationship” Bobby said “What does your partner think of this arrangement?” Dr Murphy said “He’s supportive..he knows that Sophie is important to Frank and me” Bobby said and Dr Murphy smiled “Thank you for answering my questions, if you don’t mind, can you please wait in the waiting room” Dr Murphy said and Frank and Bobby stood up. Not only because he was innocent, but now he could see his girlfriend anytime he wanted and it was going to be great… High School- Summer Bay Sandra was not paying attention to the teacher, her mind was miles away. She looked at the clock on the wall, Maurice was probably still in court. She didn’t know what his fate was, but she knew that he didn’t burgle the diner. Sandra sighed as she looked at the clock again that was moving very slow… Emma looked at the leather bracelet on her wrist. She hadn’t taken it off since she got it last night. She looked at the braided design, it was really pretty. She used the pen in her hand and gently ran the end over the ends that hung lose after being tied. Emma put her hand up to her chest and rested the bracelet on her heart. She still missed David so much but having the bracelet meant that he was with her all the time.. Steve gently tapped his pen on the desk. He watched as Mr Fisher wrote on the blackboard but his mind wasn’t there, he was just counting down the days until it was tie for him to go then he would leave behind all the memories and guilt to start a new life far way… Background music ends Wellness Centre - The City Bobby and Frank sat outside in the waiting area. Bobby looked at her watch, Sophie had been alone with the psychologist for 20 minutes. Bobby was getting impatient. She wanted to be inside. She wanted to know if her daughter was alright. Bobby sighed as she looked at the ceiling Background music- Frank and Bobby’s Theme “Don’t worry, I’m sure she’s fine in there” Frank said and Bobby looked at him “Yeah, I know…I cant help worrying” Bobby said “Me too” Frank said and Bobby picked up a magazine and began to flip through the pages “Your boyfriend came to see me this morning” Frank said and Bobby put the magazine down and looked at Frank “What for?” Bobby said confused “He want’s me to stay away from you” Frank said “We have a daughter together, we have to see each other” Bobby said shaking her head “That is what I told him” Frank said “I don’t believe him” Bobby said and she stood up and walked over to the window “He must be feeling insecure” Frank said “I don’t know why, he knows that there is nothing going on between us” Bobby said as she briefly turned and looked at Frank then she turned and looked out of the window and sighed. She wrapped it around her wrist and tied the ends together. Looking at the bracelet on her wrist, she couldn’t help it and burst into tears. She missed him so much. The one person that she had ever loved, and he was gone. Emma sighed and wiped her face with the back of her hand then she folded the scarf and put it back into the bag. She kissed the bracelet and wiped the tears on her cheek and went back into the house. LAX Airport- Los Angeles Donavan waited for a space to become available then he parked his convertible car in the space and turned the engine off. He turned to look at Roo and they began to kiss. Roo felt like she was in heaven. She had spent the weekend with Donavan at his home in California, and it was the most beautiful place she had ever seen “I wish I didn’t have to go” Roo said as Donavan kissed her neck “Stay” Donavan said “I have to go to work tomorrow” Roo said and laughed “Well, come back next weekend” Donavan said as he kissed Roo on her cheek “I’m moving remember…and thanks for speaking to your friend about the apartment” Roo said and smiled. It was as if Donavan knew everyone. With just one phone call to his friend who was an estate agent, Roo found the most perfect apartment. It was better than the one she was going to move to before. Roo exhaled, she was so overwhelmed by how great things had been going not just at work, but with Donavan. I cant believe I was stupid enough to just leave her by the car, forgetting what she had just been through. I would say you and Bobby are on the right track with Sophie” Pippa said and Frank smiled “I still cant believe it that me and Bobby have a daughter…funny how things turn out” Frank said and Pippa looked at him “Bobby and I are taking her to the psychologist tomorrow, and if all goes well, we hope to get her into school to start on Wednesday..and Celias husband offered me a job…just a couple of hours a week, doing his book keeping” Frank said “That’s wonderful sweetheart” Pippa said and smiled “Yeah…I'm a father now, I need to start earning some money. You should see Sophie's room, I painted it white and shes got pink curtains and a pink rug and I put together a desk and chest of drawers” Frank said with excitement in his voice “Sophie is very lucky to have you and Bobby as her foster parents” Pippa said “Yeah, Bobby is a great mum, and we are going to start the process to formally adopt Sophie” Frank said “So soon?” Pippa said surprised “After what happened today, I cant see my life without my daughter in it. Bobby feels the same. She's our daughter, and no one is ever going to take her away from us” Frank said and smiled then he sipped his tea as Pippa looked at him trying to disguise her concern Simpson Residence- Summer Bay Bobby tied the belt around her dressing gown and walked out of her room. She walked across the hall to Sam’s room and slowly opened the door. He was fast asleep. Bobby gently bent down and kissed his forehead and pulled his blanket up to his chest. She turned the night light off and slowly pulled the door to a close. Bobby walked back across the hall and slowly opened Sophies room. The room looked so different in comparison to a few days ago. Frank had down a great job decorating it. Bobby walked over to the curtains and closed them. She then walked over to the bed and slowly sat on the edge and gently moved hair from Sophies forehead and smiled. She loved Sam, but the love she had for Sophie was different. Sophie was her and Franks daughter. Bobby smiled as she remembered the nice picnic they had as a family and watched the sunset. She don’t know what she would've done if Frank hadn’t seen Al driving away with Sophie. It would've broken her heart all over again if she would’ve lost Sophie as well. Bobby smiled as she thought about how great a father Frank was and how far he went to save their daughter. Bobby exhaled and she gently kissed Sophie on the forehead and pulled her blanket up to her chest and turned her night light off. Bobby walked to the door and turned one more time to see Sophie asleep, and she pulled the door to a close and walked into her room which was next door. Bobby took her dressing gown off and got into bed. She picked up Alan’s bear and hugged it as she looked at the ceiling thinking about how good it would be when Sophie would be hers and Franks daughter permanently after the adoption. They were a family…and nothing was ever going to break that up. Bobby smiled and turned over to her side and closed her eyes to dream about the picnic they had on the beach… Background music ends Caravan Park- Summer Bay . Greg exhaled then he knocked at the door. A few moments later, Pippa opened the door “Hello Greg, how are you?” Pippa said “G’day. Sorry to come around so early, but .I was wondering if I could have a word with Frank” Greg said and Pippa looked at Greg then she looked at Frank “About what?” Frank said “Sweetheart go and get your bag and tell Steve to hurry up if he wants a lift” Pippa said to Sally “Ok” Sally said and she ran towards the stairs “Ill go and change Christopher” Finlay said “Ill come with you, and get my bag from upstairs” Pippa said and soon it was only Greg and Frank alone. Finlay turned and watched Frank go up the stairs. She heard some of the argument. She heard Greg tell Frank to stay away from Bobby. Which meant that he was still in love with her. She felt her heart break, because she wanted Frank to be in love with her.. Greg got into his car and slammed the door then he hit his hand hard on the steering wheel. He hadn’t intended to lose his temper, but see Frank just made him see red. Bobby allowing him to use her car to take Sophie out was a nice gesture and he smiled to himself as he walked out of the surf club. He continued to throw the keys up and catch them until he got to his car “I know the perfect place for us to have lunch” Frank said then he looked around and noticed that Sophie wasn’t by the car. He looked around and couldn’t see her “Sophie” Frank said as he rushed around the car then he looked around “SOPHIE” Frank said as he rushed over to two tourists walking towards the beach “Excuse me have you see a little girl wearing a pink t-shirt with brown hair?” Frank said “No, sorry” One of the tourists said and Frank ran his hand through his hair as he looked around feeling so guilty. It was so stupid of him to leave her at the car Background music- Frank and Bobby’s theme “SHUT UP” Al screamed at Sophie who was sitting on the floor of the car and crying. Al was a little out of breath and his leg hurt as he tried to start the engine of the car. He turned the engine over a few times but the car wouldn’t start “THIS STUPID CAR” Al said and looked around and got out of the car. He opened the bonnet and noticed the smoke coming out of the engine. He looked around trying to figure out how to get away as quickly as possible “SOPHIE” Frank shouted frantically as he ran along the beach. He thought maybe she might’ve gone to the water and got washed away Sophie was afraid. She knew what it meant to go back with her old dad. She didn’t want that. She wanted to be with her new mum and dad. She could hear her old dad outside the car. She slowly climbed up and looked outside the window then she wanted to open the car door and run to her new mum and dad but her old dad got into the drivers seat and began to turn the engine over again “Come on….come on” Al said hoping the car would start. “SOPHIE” Frank shouted as he ran back towards the car. He couldn’t believe this was happening. He cursed himself for being so stupid. He had to go back to the Surf club and call the police. “Finally” Al said and he revved the engine and began to drive away As Frank turned to go to the Surf Club, he and Al made eye contact as Al’s car slowly drove by “HEY” Frank said and began to run after the car “SOPHIE” Frank said and Sophie looked through the back window to see her new dad running “GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOW” Al said and swerved the car as he tried to grab Sophie off the backseat to the floor and hit a gate as more smoke escaped the engine. Frank opened the back door of the car and pulled Sophie out of the car and hugged his daughter tight and exhaled “Are you alright” Frank said as he hugged Sophie. She hugged her new dad tight and he could feel her nodding her head Before Frank could start to walk away he felt something hit his arm then his leg and he and Sophie both fell to the floor “Get back in the car” Al said to Sophie and began to pull her. Frank looked around and he picked up a big rock and threw it at Al's leg and he let go of Sophie and she rushed back to Frank who was getting up from the floor. Al hobbled back to his car “Sophie run back to the Surf club..you see.. back there and tell your mum to phone to police” Frank said and Sophie nodded and she ran back to the surf club as fast as she could. Frank tried to get up. Al hit the arm and leg that he broke in New York when he was attacked. Frank got up and he noticed that Al was walking towards him with a knife “You should keep your nose out of my business” Al said and he began taunting Frank with the knife. “Sophie is my daughter so it is my business” Frank said. The knife was close to Frank’s face, but his reflexes allowed him to move away fast before the knife touched him. As Al moved backwards on his bad leg and winced in pain as Frank pushed him over and they began to fight on the floor Sophie ran up the stairs of the surf club as fast as she could. She ran inside and looked for her mum “Hi sweetheart, what are you doing back here” Bobby said and smiled. Sophie looked at her as tears ran down her cheeks. She couldn’t speak, she wanted to tell her mum what was going on but she couldn’t “Sophie what’s wrong?” Bobby said concerned as Sophie struggle to speak Bobby looked around to see if Frank was behind her but he wasn’t “Sweetheart where is your dad?” Bobby said and Sophie pointed to the window “Something has happened” Bobby said “Like what?” Greg said “I don’t know…I have to go” Bobby said and she began to follow Sophie out of the surf club. Both ran down the stairs and Bobby followed Sophie as they ran towards Frank and Al fighting. At this point a few tourists were gathered and two tried to break up the fight. Frank was on Al punching him in the face and Al was trying to kick him off “FRANK” Bobby shouted as she got close “STAY BACK” Frank said as Sophie stood next to Bobby crying. Someone mustve called the police because the police arrived shortly after Bobby got to the fight and pulled Frank away “STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY” Frank said as the police officer pulled him off Al. “Whats going on?” Greg said as he stood behind Bobby but instead of turning around to respond both her and Sophie rushed over to Frank who was sitting on the floor “Are you alright?” Bobby said as she bent down next to Frank and gently caressed his face “Yeah” Frank said as Sophie hugged him “You’re not, you’re bleeding” Bobby said as she looked at the blood on Franks arm. “I’m sorry for leaving you…did he hurt you” Frank said and Sophie shook her head no “What happened?” Bobby said “I left the car keys upstairs, when I came back Sophie was gone. I noticed him taking her away and I ran after the car. Luckily for me, he crashed and when I got Sophie out of the car he hit me with a stick or something and then we started fighting. “I cant believe he had the nerve to come back here for Sophie” Bobby said “Well he better expect the same beating if he shows his face again” Frank said then he looked down at Sophie and gently wiped the tears from her cheek “Nobody is breaking this family up” Frank said then he looked up and made eye contact with Greg who heard every word that he said while the words from Alf echoed in his mind… Background music ends Army Barrack- Brisbane “Thanks nurse…do you know when can I get out of here?” Martin said as the nurse hung his hospital chart at the end of the bed after taking his blood pressure “I don’t know, you have to check with the doctor when he comes on the ward later today, but you’re healing well, so I wouldn’t think you will be here for much longer” The nurse said and smiled “Thanks” Martin said and the nurse turned and began to walk away “Oh nurse?” Martin said “The other nurse who is usually on around here, where is she?” Martin said “Which one?” The nurse said “She’s got long brown hair” Martin said. For some reason he couldnt remember her name “You mean Nurse Thompson” The nurse said “Yeah, her” Martin said “Shes on another ward” The nurse said “Oh, why?” Martin said “Sometimes that happens, we move around to different wards” The nurse said and smiled then she walked away as Martin laid down on the bed as his mind went back to the last conversation he had with Nurse Thompson. He remembers asking her if she had been here for long then he remembered asking her if she knew Lt Lucini and her expression changed then she left. Martin looked at the ceiling and wondered why that happened. It probably didn’t mean anything, maybe they had a falling out over something Martin thought to himself but he recalls seeing fear in the nurse’s eye. Out of curiosity he was going to find out why… General hospital- Summer Bay “Thanks” Frank said to the nurse who just finished putting a bandage on his arm just as Bobby and Sophie came into the hospital room “Hi” Bobby said and Sophie ran over to Frank and he smiled and hugged her “Hi” Frank said and he looked at Bobby “How are your arm and leg?” Bobby said “I’ll live…the arm is just a flesh wound and my leg will be fine” Frank said as he looked at Bobby Knock on the door Bobby walked over to the door and opened it to see a police officer “Frank we need a statement” The police officer said “Yeah sure” Frank said and he helped Sophie up onto the hospital bed and she hugged Frank “Ill be back in a minute” Bobby said and she quietly left the room as Frank gave his statement. “Excuse me, what room is Al Simpson in?” Bobby said as she got to the nurse’s station “Room 305” The nurse said “Thanks” Bobby said and she followed the numbered doors until she was outside of room 305. Bobby inhaled and exhaled then she opened the door. Al turned his head when he heard the door open to see his daughter standing by the door. Bobby looked at Al lying on the hospital bed. He had his leg in a cast and he was handcuffed to the bed Background music – Bobby and Frank’s theme “What do you want? Come to gloat?” Al said annoyed and turned his heard away as Bobby walked over to the bed “Why do you hate me so much?” Bobby said and Al turned and looked at her “I’m not in the mood to answer any of your stupid questions” Al said “Go on, I want to know…why do you hate me so much? What did I ever do to you?” Bobby said as Al looked away “You can’t even do that can you? You can’t even tell me why. Should I tell you why? Because you’re a wimp, gutless, a terrible father and a sorry excuse for a man. I cried my eyes out for years trying to figure out why my own dad hated me so much” Bobby said and Al turned and looked at her as a tear ran down her cheek as she remembered all the sad times she had with her father when she was growing up “You destroyed my life” Bobby said as more tears ran down her cheeks” Bobby said as Al turned away “To think I almost let Sophie leave Summer Bay with you…I don’t even know if I wouldve been able to forgive myself if I did. You’ve destroyed that little girl just like you destroyed me” Bobby said as she wiped a tear from her cheek “I’ll get her back” Al said as he turned to look at her “Frank and I are her parents now, you will never get her back and I hope they lock you up in prison and throw away the key” Bobby said as she looked at Al’s expressionless face then he turned away as she walked out of the hospital room. She wiped her cheek and exhaled. Sophie was her and Frank’s daughter, and nobody was ever going to take her away… Background music ends Caravan Park- Summer Bay “And me and Christopher rode the donkeys” Sally said excited as Steve rolled his eyes. Sally had been going on nonstop since they got back from Newcastle about the good time she had. “Soon shes going to ask you to buy her a donkey” Steve said “Oi you, don’t put ideas into her head” Pippa said and Steve laughed and the door knocked “Hello” Pippa said as she opened the door. Shaunna was in shock, here she was standing face to face with Pippa Fletcher “Umm Hi, my name is Shaunna, I’m the new lifeguard at the surfclub” Shaunna said stumbling all over her words “Hello Shaunna” Pippa said and smiled. Shaunna stared at her. She was nothing like she had expected. She had such a beautiful smile “How can I help you?” Pippa said as she noticed the awkwardness of Shaunna staring at her “Oh, sorry, I was just returning Franks wallet. He must've dropped it on the beach during the fight” Shaunna said “Fight?” Pippa said “Oh, I’m sorry, I guess you don’t know” Shaunna said “No, I was away and I just got back” Pippa said “There was a fight on the beach, someone tried to kidnap Franks daughter” Shaunna said and Pippa put her hand over her mouth “That poor girl…please come in” Pippa said as Shaunna stepped into the house. “Shes fine, Frank got to her in time, but then there was a big fight on the beach between Frank and the guy who attempted the kidnapping” Shaunna said “Steve call Bobby’s see if Frank is there” Pippa said and Steve walked over to the phone and began dialling “I’m really sorry to give you this news..especially since you just got home” Shaunna said “Oh its not your fault” Pippa said as she looked at Steve on the phone. Shaunna felt like she was going to faint, she had no idea that she was gong to be face to face with Pippa fletcher. As Pippa looked at Steve, Shaunna briefly looked around the house then she looked at the little girl sitting by the dining table, and the little boy she had met before sitting on the floor playing with his toys. She noticed some photos by the phone and wished she could see who they were of. When she found the wallet, she was only hoping to get a chance to speak to Frank again, not to be here, in the house. “Marilyn said Bobby called, they are still at the hospital” Steve said and Pippa began to panic “I better get to the hospital” Pippa said “Do you want me to go with you” Shaunna said “No, its fine. Thank you for returning Franks wallet, Ill be sure to give it to him” Pippa said and smiled “You’re welcome..bye” Shuanna said and she looked at Pippa one more time before Pippa closed the door. Instead of going, she looked through the window and could see Pippa on the phone then she smiled to herself thinking of another excuse to see and talk to Pippa again… Beach- Summer Bay Background music- Frank and Bobby’s theme Bobby laid the blanket on the floor and Sophie followed her new mums instructions and put the plates on the blanket. Bobby thought Frank was crazy to suggest going for a picnic after everything that happened, but he promised Sophie a picnic on the beach, and he wanted to keep his promise to her. Sophie watched as Bobby removed the food from the basket and put them on the blanket. She them took out some juice and poured it into three cups. Sophie pressed her hand hard on her stomach because it was making noises because she was hungry. She didn’t want her new mum and dad to hear incase she got into trouble. As the sun began to set Frank, Bobby and Sophie ate their picnic food on the beach. They didn’t really talk much, it wasn’t needed. They were all just enjoying the food and just being together as a family. Frank felt Sophie shiver as she sat next to him “Sweetheart are you cold?” Frank said and Sophie didn’t say anything “Its ok if you feel cold” Frank said and smiled and Sophie nodded. “Here, let me wrap this around you” Frank said as he wrapped the extra blanket around Sophie as she looked at him. Bobby looked at Frank, the more time she spent with him, she noticed that he was different and that he was such a caring father. Frank looked up at Bobby and he took and extra blanket and wrapped it around his shoulders and hers. With Sophie now laying on Bobby’s lap they watched the sun set as a family….like the family they both always wanted.. Background music ends Simpson Residence- Summer Bay Greg got up from the couch as Bobby walked into the house “Oh Greg…thanks for looking after Sam” Bobby said Background music- Greg and Bobby’s theme “Sophie go upstairs and get ready for bed, Ill be up to read you a story ok” Bobby said and Sophie nodded and ran up the stairs “I thought you were going to come straight home after the hospital” Greg said “Yeah, that was the plan but Frank promised Sophie that he was taking her out to a picnic, and he didn’t want to break that promise” Bobby said as she put the picnic basket in the kitchen “Sam is all tucked in, he went out like a light..I think he’s excited about kindy tomorrow” Greg said “Thanks, Ill go up in a minute and give him a kiss” Bobby said as she began to unpack the plates in the picnic basket “How’s Frank?” Greg said “Good, he just has a flesh wound on his arm, and his leg will be right in a few days” Bobby said “Leave that” Greg said as he took a plate from Bobbys had and put it on the table and put his arms around her “I missed you” Greg said and he bent down and kissed Bobby “I’m glad you did” Bobby said “How about I come by early tomorrow and we have breakfast as a family” Greg said and he kissed Bobby’s neck “I can’t, Frank and I have an appointment with the psychologist with Sophie. I was hoping you would take Sam to school in the morning because the appointment is in the city” Bobby said “Yeah sure” Greg said faking a smile “Thanks. I better go upstairs and make sure Sophie's alright. I think she's still a bit shaken up after seeing the fight and seeing Frank bleeding” Bobby said and she walked towards the stairs leaving Greg in the kitchen alone Flashback Alf- He really has a lot of nerve showing his face around here Greg- This is his home as well, and it’s a free country” Alf-If I was you, I would tell him to get on his bike…and stay away from my family free country or not Flashback ends Greg sighed. He felt like he was going to scream if he heard Franks name again. It felt as though Frank had taken over and he was on the outside but he couldn’t just stand by and let Frank walk in and take over the family he and Bobby had together…he had to do something about it before it was too late .. She lifted her head up then she got out of the bed and out her slipper on. She walked out of the room and looked around. The boat was empty. She noticed the door open and she walked out to see Adam sitting on the boat drinking coffee. “Good morning” Shannon said and she wrapped her arms around Adam “Morning” Adam said without looking behind him. “I’ve got the day off today, do you want to go to the city or something? Shannon said “Nah, the surf club is having their opening party, and I said to Ben that I would go and help out” Adam said “Ok, maybe we can go there for a little bit then have some time alone on the beach” Shannon said as she kissed Adams neck. Adam didn’t respond. Shannon gently shook Adam “Is everything alright?” Shannon said and she stood in front of Adam “Yeah fine…sorry I was just miles away” Adam said and smiled “I need to have a shower, and head back home to pick up a few things..Ill meet you over at the Surf club later?” Shannon said “Yeah, ok” Adam said and smiled then Shannon leaned forward and kissed him then he smiled as she walked away. Adam exhaled as his smile disappeared as he wondered if he had made the right decision to be with Shannon… Simpson Residence- Summer Bay Marilyn raised the mirror and looked at herself as a tear ran down her cheek. She sighed then put the mirror on the table next to her bed and stared at the ceiling. She was trying to put on a brave front that Adam had left her but really she was suffering. Initially he had intended to express his negative opinion but as he watched his sister, he realized that she had changed so much. Al made sure to hide himself as he watched the front door to Bobby’s house close. He wasn’t sure of his plan yet, but he knew that he had to get Sophie and leave Summer Bay. Not that he really wanted her, but she was useful to him and he needed her to get out of Summer Bay. The minute he was far away he was going to get rid of her…permanently. Caravan park- Summer Bay Steve poured the milk onto the cereal and picked up his spoon and began to eat. The house was quiet. He pretended to be asleep when he heard Frank go out because he didn’t want to have to talk to him. Phone ringing Steve put some cereal into his mouth and walked over to the phone “Caravan Park” Steve said as he picked up the phone “Hello sweetheart, how are you?” Pippa said “Fine, how are you?” Steve said “Yes we’re fine” Pippa said “When are you coming home?” Steve said “Well we are going to have a late lunch then hopefully we should be home by the evening…is everything alright?” Pippa said “Yeah fine” Steve lied. Everything was not alright “Ok then I just wanted to check on you. We have to get ready for church now, so Ill see you when I get back” Pippa said “Ok, bye” Steve said as his voice cracked and he quickly put the phone down before he started crying. He was not fine; things were not alright. Everyday his guilt was getting worse and he couldn’t handle it. Frank and Greg looked at each other then Frank walked up the stairs “A bit early for visitors” Greg said “He’s taking Sophie out this afternoon, and wanted to come early to get her room finished” Bobby said as she poured hot water into her cup of coffee “There’s extra toast if you want some” Bobby said “No, I’m alright…I thought I would take Sam out with me to wash the car” Greg said “Yeah” Sam said and Bobby smiled “Why don’t you come with us…we haven’t done anything together for a while” Greg said “Thanks but I’m a bit tired this morning, and I wanted to make the picnic food for Frank and Sophie” Bobby said “Why couldn’t he make it himself?” Greg said with annoyance in his voice “Its not a big deal, Ill just make it..plus I want to do some laundry” Bobby said “Alright then..dont forget theres that thing this afternoon at the surf club” Greg said “Oh I nearly forgot, the grand opening” Bobby said “We’re going together, and I wont take no for an answer” Greg said as he kissed Bobby on the nose and she smiled.. Surf Club- Summer Bay “Greg, hi” Greg turned around to see Fiona with her son standing behind him “Fiona, you should’ve told me you were going to come, I wouldve come and picked you up” Greg said and he looked down at her son “Hello mate” Greg said and smiled “Oh it’s no bother, we just took the bus…its alright” Fiona said and smiled “I’ll start working on your car tomorrow..i’ll order the part, and hopefully I’ll have it done by Wednesday” Greg said “There’s no rush, I quite enjoy taking the bus” Fiona said “You look great, is that another dress you made?” Greg said “Yes” Fiona said and blushed “You’re really talented” Greg said “Thanks” Fiona said “Greg, give me hand getting some crates from downstairs” Ben said “Yeah, sure…I’ll see you later” Greg said and he walked away as Fiona smiled to himself happy about the compliment he gave her Carly stood at the counter and opened the packet of straws and put them into a container. She then walked over to the table that had the food and put the container of straws on the side. As she turned around her heart skipped when she saw Frank and she rushed over to him “Frank, you came” Carly said as he came through the door holding Sophie's hand “Hi Sophie” Carly said as she bent down and smiled at Sophie who stared at her then she gave Frank a hug “Do you want a drink?” Carly said “No thanks, we’re not staying long. Sophie and I are going to have a picnic at the beach” Frank said and Sophie looked up at him and he winked at her “Oh” Carly said with disappointment in her voice “Hello Frank…well this must be Sophie..hello” Celia said as she walked over to where Frank was standing “Shes really shy” Frank said as Celia stared at Sophie “Oh Frank, have you met my husband Michael, he owns the boatshed by the marina?” Celia said “no I haven’t met him” Frank said as Sophie gripped his hand tight “Michael this is Frank” Celia said as Michael walked over to where they were standing “G’day” Michael said and he and Frank shook hands “I just had a good idea, Frank you’re good at accounts and book keeping aren’t you?” Celia said “Yeah, why?” Frank said “Well Michael is looking for someone to take that responsibility on now that his business is expanding” Celia said with pride in her voice. “Frank used to work at the Macklin Corporation so I know he will be well qualified” Celia said “I’m looking for someone to come into the boatshed, a couple of times a week for a few hours to get my books straightened out if that’s something you’re interested in” Michael said as he and Frank looked at each other. Frank was surprised because he didn’t expect Celia to be married to someone like Michael “Yeah, now that I have a daughter, every penny is going to count” Frank said as he looked down at Sophie and smiled at her “When can you start?” Michael said “Not for a few days, I can come in on Wednesday after taking Sophie to school” Frank said “That will be great. We can talk about wages and stuff when you get there” Michael said “Alright” Frank said and he and Michael shook hands again and he and Celia walked away “You got a job now…so you definitely have to stay in Summer Bay” Carly said and she rested her head on Franks shoulder and exhaled. “I better get going” Michael said “Already” Celia said “Yes, if I don’t go now, I will get home really late” Micheal said “Why don’t we all go, make it a family outing? It’s a nice day today” Celia said “No, maybe another time” Michael said as Haydn walked over to him “Can I go over to my friends house?” Haydn said “Yes, but be home for your dinner” Michael said then Haydn ran away “Ill see you later” Michael said and walked out of the surf club leaving Celia alone. She looked around to make sure no body was looking then she inhaled and exhaled and put a smile on her face and walked towards her brother Alf.. “So have you lived here for long?” Shaunna said as she stood next to the small shop area and watched Adam put crates of coke on top of each other “Not really, about a year” Adam said “So you know all the regulars then” Shaunna said “Not really” Adam said and Shaunna felt herself getting annoyed “Hi” Adam looked up to see Shannon “G’day” Adam said “Excuse me” Shaunna said and smiled then she walked away to the drinks table and poured herself some lemonade. This was the second time that Alf had given him this advise. She opened the bedroom door and sat in the corner behind the door holding her teddy bear tight and closing her eyes. She didn’t want to go with that lady. My sister, Sophie’s mum and I were not very close, but now that I know I have a niece, I want to make up for all that, and take her to live with me” Susan said. Bobby felt her heart breaking as Susan spoke. Sophie was her and Franks daughter. “Well that’s not going to happen today” Frank said as he stared at Susan “Can I at least spend some time with Sophie today..maybe take her for an ice cream?” Susan said “No, and I would like you to please leave” Bobby said as she walked over to the door and opened it. Frank grabbed some tissues that were in a box besides Bobby’s bed and gently wiped her face “Is she alright?” Bobby said as she walked into the bedroom “Yes she’s fine” Frank said “I cant believe she came here Frank” Bobby said “It doesn’t matter…shes not taking Sophie away from us…nobody is taking Sophie away from us" Frank said and gently lifted Sophie's chin up to look at him “We are your mum and dad…and nobody is ever going to take you away from us ok” Frank said as a tear ran down Sophie's cheek and she nodded. She knew it was a stupid plan, she knew that there was no way that they were going to hand the girl over. She knew that going back to Al empty handed meant that he was going to get mad. The light shining through the gap in the curtain went straight through her, and she closed her eyes, and covered her face. She turned over and laid on her back and stared at the ceiling. Her head was pounding, she had a hangover and was tired. Before she knew it, she burst into tears and turned on her side again and began to cry. She had been through so much in her life, but this time she didn’t have any strength to fight. She was tired…she was scared…she wanted to be with her family. Even though she had warned Ben to never touch her again, she knew that it was only a matter of time before he realized her threats were empty, and start hitting her again. Carly sighed as she wiped her wet cheek wondering when her nightmare would end, and happiness would finally begin… Beach – Summer Bay Greg sat on a rock, and threw the tiny rocks he had in his hands into the water and sighed. He had made a really big mistake. He knew he shouldn’t have let Susan into the house, but he figured that with Sophie gone, Frank wouldn’t need to be around anymore. However the plan backfired, and now Bobby was angry with him. Greg sighed as he thought about what was probably going on in the beach house now. Frank hovering all around Bobby, and trying to convince her to get back with him. While Sophie just sat there being the centre of attention. Greg hit the side of his head three times with an open palm and shook his head. He was wrong to feel the way he did about Sophie, and he was wrong to let Susan in the house. However what wasn’t wrong was how he felt about Bobby, and he was going to apologize and get his family back… Caravan Park- Summer Bay Steve pulled out his suitcase from under his bed and put it on the bed. He flipped the top open and looked inside. He sighed as he thought about everything he owned, and how he would soon be fitting his entire life into this one suitcase. Phone ringing Steve closed the suitcase and rushed to the door and down the stairs to answer the phone “Caravan Park” Steve said as he answered the phone “Hello love how are you?” Pippa said “Fine, how are you?” Steve said “We are having a great time. I wasn’t expecting anyone to answer the phone…you not going out today?” Pippa said “I felt like staying at home” Steve said “Is everything alright?” Pippa said “Yeah fine..anyway, I was just finishing up some homework” Steve said “Alright love…give my love to everyone and ill see you tmorrow night.. Alex sends his best” Pippa said “Tell him I said hello…I might come and see him next weekend or something” Steve said “Next weekend is Bobby’s granduation, so you will see him them” Pippa said “Oh, alright” Steve said “See you tomorrow night” Pippa said “Ok, see you tomorrow…drive safe” Steve said “Thank you love, bye” Pippa said then Steve heard the phone go silent. He stared at the receiver in his hand, and them put it down. He looked up and saw the last family photo they took and picked it up from the desk. Steve stared at each person in the photo, and wished that he could go back in time where the guilt he felt wasn’t eating him up inside. Steve turned around when he heard a knock at the door. It was one of the guests of the caravan park. He inhaled and exhaled and walked over to the door. In a short while he would be leaving and the bad memories would be left behind… Vicarage- Newcastle “Is everything alright?” Pippa turned around to see Reverend Jones behind her “Yes fine” Pippa said forcing a smile “Ok well the kids are ready, so we better get on our way to the farm” Reverend Jones said and smiled “Ok” Pippa said “Philippa, everything is not fine..is it?” Reverend Jones said “I’m sorry Alex…its just this thing with Steve and Frank. I can hear in his voice that he feels so guilty. No matter what I say, hes got it into his head that its his fault that Thomas died” Pippa said and sighed “He’s carrying a heavy burden, only he can remove” Reverend Jones said “He thinks by going to live with his aunt in England he will be able to forget” Pippa said “Ahh..so that is what this is really about…Steven wanting to leave?” Reverend Jones said and Pippa sighed “ wish I can say something to him to not go” Pippa said and a tear fell down her cheek which she wiped with the back of her hand. I know you do…but this is a choice that he made. I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but everything is going to be alright Philippa” Reverend Jones said as Pippa looked up at him “As long as you will also be here” Pippa said “Always” Reverend Jones said and he felt butterflies in his stomach. Not that he needed any further confirmation that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Pippa. He leaned forward and kissed her gently on the lips. Pippa looked at him and smiled. Even though her heart hurt for her son, having Alex with her gave her a sense of calm. She didn’t know what the future would be, but right now, she was happy with Alex, and believed him that everything was going to be alright… Simpson residence- Summer Bay Background music- Greg and Bobby’s theme Bobby walked over to the back door and opened it to see Greg standing there “Hi” Greg said and Bobby turned and walked away “I got you these” Greg said as he stood at the door with a bunch of flowers in his hand “I know you’re upset with me about what I said earlier” Greg said as he walked into the house “Yes I am” Bobby said “I had some time to think about it, and I shouldn’t have said that” Greg said “You’re right…you shouldn’t’ve said it. Sophie has been through so much, Frank and I are starting to get her to trust us, how can we just hand her over to a stranger, who knows what will happen” Bobby said and she sighed and turned around and folded her arms. Greg walked over to her and stood behind her “You didn’t hand Sam straight over to me when I turned up. I wasn’t thinking. I should never have let that Susan woman into the house.” Greg said and Bobby turned around “I act like an idiot at times, Sophie is like my daughter too, and I should’ve taken that into consideration. I promise I will never do anything like that again” Greg said as Bobby looked at him.. Frank gently caressed Sophie's cheek with his finger and smiled. She was fast asleep It was a little chilly tonight, so he covered her with the duvet and put the book on the chest of drawers in Bobby’s room. He turned around to look at her one more time as he stood by the door. He couldn’t believe that he loved her so much…he would do anything to protect her..she was his daughter. Frank turned the light off and pulled the door to the edge. He walked next door to Sophie's room, turned the light on and stood inside and looked around. The walls and wardrobe were painted and drying. The little desk and chest of drawers were also assembled. Frank smiled as he looked down at the big pink rug on the floor. The room was perfect…just like he had imagined. Frank looked at his watch, it was getting late. He hadn’t slept much since he got back, but was hoping that all the hard work he did meant he was finaly going to get a full nights sleep. There were a few things he wanted to finish up tomorrow like put the curtains up, and fix a shelf to the wall for Sophie's books. Frank turned the light off, and walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs. He got to the bottom step and turned and looked up to see Bobby and Greg standing in the kitchen kissing and his heart sank. Frank was just about to turn away when Greg looked up and saw Frank looking at him and Bobby. They stared at each other as Bobby lay her head on his chest. Frank sighed then he turned around and quietly left the house.. Motel- Waldorf Creek Al lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling. He was still in pain although he had managed to ties his leg up to stop the bleeding He looked at the watch on his wrist and sighed. Susan should’ve been back by now. Al struggled and got up from the bed and walked over to the window. He slightly opened the curtain and looked outside. It was dark. He looked at his watch again as the seconds went by. With each movement on the hand of the watch Al got angry. He knew he shouldn’t have trusted Susan, she took the money he gave her and did a runner, and now he would have to go back to Summer Bay and get Sophie himself.. Background music ends

He was painting the last wall white. Her new mum was help paint the wall then she went downstairs to answer the phone “Hey, take a break” Bobby said and she put the tray on the floor and sat next to sophie. On the tray were two glasses and a blue cup of lemonade, and slices of cake. Frank put the paint brush down and wiped his hands with a towel on the floor. Frank sat on the floor and grabbed a glass of lemonade and began to drink it “Its ok Sophie, you can take the cup” Bobby said and Sophie picked up the blue cup and drank most of the lemonade in it “Thanks” Frank said as he put the glass down on the tray and picked up a slice of sponge cake and bit into it “Hmm” Frank said and he picked up the plate with the cake on and put it in front of Sophie and winked. She picked up a slice of cake and bit into it. It tasted really good. All the food she had eaten since being with her new mum and dad was really nice “Do you like it?” Bobby said as she looked at Sophie. Sophie nodded “Wow, I cant believe you’re almost done” Bobby said as she got up and looked around the empty room “Still more work to do, got to put the furniture together, get the curtains up" Frank said “I don’t think Sophie can sleep in here tonight while the paint dries” Frank said “That’s fine, she can sleep in with me” Bobby said as Sophie pushed the last bit of cake into her mouth. Bobby walked back over to where Frank and Sophie were seated and sat on the floor “Its going to be very busy next week…I start my media duties for the NSW council, so ill be spending a lot of time in the city” Bobby said “That’s fine, I can take care of Sophie…take her to and from school” Frank said “Yeah, but that’s all going to depend on the interview with the psychologist…you can have another slice of cake sweetheart” Bobby said and Sophie looked at her then she picked up another slice “Shes going to be fine” Frank said and he looked at Sophie as she ate the slice of cake “I was thinking we could go and have a late lunch at the resort later” Bobby said “Ok” Frank said then he drank his lemonade “Thanks..you know for getting this room ready for Sophie” Bobby said as she looked at Frank. There was something different about him. Apart from looking older with his facial hair, he was a dad..something that she had never seen before. “You don’t need to thank me…she’s my daughter too” Frank said as he looked at Bobby. Anytime he said that it made her heart flutter..after everything they had been through, they had a daughter…someone that once again bonded them together..a bond that she never wanted to be broken again… Background music ends Harris Residence- Kiama “Just left into here please” Fiona said as Grant turned onto her road “Is this still Summer Bay?” Greg said as he followed Fiona’s instructions and turned left “We left Summer Bay when we turned right at the traffic lights..this is my house here” Fiona said as Greg turned left again and parked his truck near a tree and turned the car engine off “Thanks for the lift” Fiona said as she turned to Greg and smiled “You’re welcome” Greg said and smiled “Can I repay you by bringing you a beer before you go?” Fiona said and Greg looked in the back seat to see Sam and Fiona’s son fast asleep. He knew he had to get Sam home, but the longer he could avoid seeing Frank the better “Sure, why not” Greg said and he got out of the truck “Sam can stay in there” Greg said then he walked over to the other side and opened the door and picked up Fiona’s sleeping son and followed her to the house. Fiona opened the door as Greg followed behind her “You can lay him down in his room” Fiona said as she opened the bedroom door and Greg laid the sleeping Scott onto his bed. He smiled as he watched Scotts little chest rise and fall in a deep sleep then he slowly closed the bedroom door. Greg looked around the living room. The house was small, but very neat and tidy. There were photos of Fiona and her son at various stages of his life on the wall “I thought we could have our drinks outside” Fiona said as she walked of the kitchen with a tray which had two bottles on it “Sure” Greg said and he held open the screen door as Fiona walked outside. She put the tray on a small table on the porch and they both sat down Background music- Greg and Bobby’s theme “So how long have you lived here?” Greg said as he drank his beer “About three years” Fiona said “Did you grow up here?” Greg said “Yeah, about five miles down the road” Fiona said “I don’t mean to be nosey but what happened to Scotts dad?” Greg said “He left us, about two years ago” Fiona said and Greg noticed sadness in her voice “Sorry” Greg said “No its fine..I think I’m over it now” Fiona said and sighed “What kind of creep would leave his son” Greg said then he sighed as he remembered that at one time he was that creep “You’re son is very lucky to have you around” Fiona said and Greg smiled “Yeah…thanks” Greg said and smiled then he drank some beer and looked around “What about you, who helps you with Scott?” Greg said “I take him to my mums. She looks after him while I work. I cant wait until he goes to kindy full time then I will be able to do a course at TAFE” Fiona said “Yeah, what do you want to do?” Greg said “Fashion design” Fiona said and smiled “I’m not surprised because you always look great” Greg said and Fiona felt herself blushing “Thanks I make a lot of my clothes…its easier that way..since I don’t have much money” Fiona said and grabbed the bottle of beer and drank it so that Greg wouldn’t see her blush “This is a nice little place you got here” Greg said as he drank some of his beer “Thanks..still needs some work, but I like it” Fiona said “Well if you ever need any help with anything, I’m handy with some tools” Greg said and he and Fiona both smiled “Thanks, Ill keep that in mind” Fiona said then Greg drank some beer and looked at his watch “I think I better head back…I don’t want Bobby sending out a search party for us” Greg said and Fiona smiled. She didn’t know Bobby well, but she had seen her around, and she knew that she was one of the owners of the diner..and Greg's girlfriend “Well, thanks again for the lift” Fiona said as Greg got up “Yeah no worries…I’ll try to get your car fixed by Wednesday” Greg said then he drank the last bit of beer in the bottle “Ill try and pay you back as soon as I can” Fiona said as Greg began walking to his truch “Don’t worry about it” Greg said then he got into his truck “Hey, I can pick you up on Monday for work if you want” Greg said “No that’s fine, the bus stop is just over there” Fiona said as she pointed in the direction ahead “If you’re sure” Greg said “Yes I am” Fiona said and smiled as Greg started the engine “Ok, well I’ll see you later” Greg said as he put his car into reverse “Thanks again” Fiona said “No worries” Greg said and smiled then he began to reverse. Fiona smiled and she waved as she watched Greg drive away. She signed and walked back to her house. She picked up the two bottles of beer and took them to the kitchen then she put them on the table and walked out of the kitchen and was about to check on Scott when she stopped by the mirror in the hallway. She looked at the dress she was wearing. It was one of favourites that she made not too long ago. She pulled the hairband from her hair as she recalled what Greg said about her , and let her long brown her fall down her back and smiled to herself.. Greg stopped at the traffic light and sighed. He looked in the rear view mirror and Sam was still asleep. He had to admit to himself that he had a great time with Fiona,. Even though they were not talking about anything earth shattering, she was easy to talk to, and it took his mind off the one thing that was bothering him..well, the one person that was bothering him. He knew he was wrong to think this, but he really wished that Bobby and Frank never found Sophie then maybe Frank would go away. Her dad had just walked in from the garden, and her mum was standing in the kitchen “I want to say something” Julie said and they both turned and looked at her “I’ve decided that I’m going to take that job in the city” Julie said and she looked at both of them for a reaction “Julie love, is it a good idea?” Alec Gibson said “Yes Dad, it is. So much has happened in my life..good things that has lead me to believe that I can live a normal life if I try. If someone told me a year ago that I would have a really good job, and a boyfriend, I never would’ve believed them..no matter how much I wanted it” Julie said “I know, I’m not going to get your blessing on this, but its something I want to do anyway” Julie said and neither of her parents said anything then she rolled herself back to her room and closed the door. It felt bitter sweet the conversation she just had with her parents. Her life had changed so much in the last few months and was getting better. Julie sighed as she remembered that even though she talked about having a boyfriend, her and Nick had not spoken to each other, and she didn’t know where they stand Background music- Have you ever been alone Knock on the door Julie turned herself around and looked at the door “Come in” Julie said as the door opened “Can I come in love?” Alec said “Yeah, ok” Julie said as her dad walked into the room and closed the door. He sat on the bed and looked around the room and smiled “I remember when you were a little girl, and now you’re all grown up..with your own life” Alec said as Julie looked at him “So when does this job of yours start?” Alec said “I have to tell my manager by Monday if I want it, then I start next Monday” Julie said “So where are you going to live?” Alec said “My manager said I can stay at the hotel, until I find a place that is chair friendly. Library- Summer Bay “Thanks” Shaunna said and she gathered two newspapers the librarian gave her in her hands and walked over to a table in the corner that had a single chair and sat down. She put the newspapers on the table and felt her heart beat fast. She opened the first one and remembered the librarian had said page 16. She scrolled through the pages fast until she got to page sixteen. She lifted the paper off the table to get a closer look. “Obituary of Thomas “Tom” Edward Fletcher” Shaunna said then she continued to read. As she read she was overcome with sadness. He sounded like such a great man..someone who had enjoyed a great life with his family. Shaunna closed that newspaper then picked up the other. She recalled the librarian saying page 10. Shaunna quickly scrolled to page 10 and read the title of the article “Summer Bay Caravan Park- Under new management” Shaunna said then she read the article while looking at the pictures. There was a family photo of the fletchers and all their children. Shaunna looked at all their faces. She recognized Bobby because she had met them before. She had seen the boy with curly hair around, but she had not met the others. Shaunna looked around and she noticed that the librarian was not at the counter. She looked around and noticed that no one was looking and she quietly tore out the family photo from the newspaper. She quickly folded it up and put it into her pocket and closed the newspapers. When she turned around, she noticed that the librarian was at the counter. Shaunna got up and walked over to her wit hthe newspapers in hand “Did you find out what you were looking for?” the librarian said “Yes, thanks” Shaunna said and she gave the newspapers back to the librarian who smiled “Thank you..have a good day” the librarian said and smiled as she put the news papers in a draw “Thanks, you too” Shaunna said as she walked out of the library and smiled to herself excited about the future.. Background music ends Simpson residence- Summer Bay Background music- Greg and Bobby’s theme “Oh Grant, when did you get back?” Greg said as he came into the house “About 5 minutes ago..hello Sam” Grant said and he gently tapped Sam on the head “I think I was away far too long, I need to get to the beach right now” Grant said and smiled “Hey, don’t let us stop you…Is Bobby around?” Greg said “No, just me” Grant said as Greg sighed “Oh, her and Frank are probably out with Sophie” Greg said trying not to sound sad “Whose Sophie?” Grant said confused “Oh…that’s right..you were in the city..you don’t know what happened” Greg said as Grant looked at him confused Sands resort- Summer Bay Sophie watched as the waiter walked over to the table with a cart. It had an assortment of sandwiches, sausage rolls and pastries. The waiter took each plate of food he had on the cart and put it on the table. She watched him pick up a spoon and put some of the trifle that was in the bowl in his mouth. Bobby looked at Sophie. I don't agree with recasts, however I don't mind them if they happen to preserve the character. Yesterday was the first time she felt no guilt for being with him and feeling the way she does about him. Carly breathed a sigh of relief as he closed the front door. She walked back over to the kitchen and opened the cupboard under the sink. She pushed her hand into the corner and took out a bottle of vodka. She closed the cupboard door and walked over to the couch and sat down.. Carly opened the vodka and she put the bottle to her lips and began to drink the liquid. The burning at the back of her throat from the liquid going down didn’t bother her anymore. Carly put as much alcohol as she could into her mouth then she swallowed. She secured the top onto the bottle and put the bottle on the coffee table in front of her as she laid on the couch. She was trapped in her own home..she was trapped in her marriage…she was trapped in her life. Carly lifted herself up and opened the bottle of vodka and drank some more. At least when she drank, she was able to escape for a short while…not long enough…but a short while to be back to a place when she was happy… Background music ends Caravan Park- Summer Bay Frank was fixing the locks on of the caravan doors when he saw Bobby’s car driving up. There were a lot of tourists in town, so the caravan park was going to be busy this weekend. His original plan was to get to Bobby's to start painting early, but he was a few hours behind schedule . As the car got closer Frank smiled. If someone would've told him a week ago, he and Bobby would have a daughter he never would've believed it. Now here they were, and he was a father. Frank closed the van door and picked up his tool box and walked towards the car. He noticed that there was something going on, Bobby was in the back, and Sophie was screaming and crying. Frank put the took box down and rushed over “Whats wrong?” Frank said “I don't know…as soon as we got here, she started crying and screaming, and she didn’t want to get out of the car” Bobby said feeling helpless “Hey sweetheart, whats the matter?” Frank said as Bobby moved out of the way and he sat inside the car. Sophie moved away and sat on the floor in the corner and cried. She remembered this place..this is where she lived with her dad…this is where he hit her. Her new mum and dad were bringing her back to her dad Background music- Frank and Bobby’s theme Frank moved over to try and touch her and she shuddered away from him and hid her face. Frank looked at his daughter, she was obviously very distressed about something and it was breaking his heart. “Sophie, sweetheart its alright” Bobby said as she kneeled on the front passenger seat looking into the back “It’s the van” Frank said “What?” Bobby said “I think shes frightened because of the van” Frank said “What do you mean?” Bobby said confused as Frank got closer to Sophie “You don’t have to be frightened Sophie…your dad isnt here..this is my home…you don’t have to go into the van, we’re going into the house…there is nothing to be scared of” Frank said and he gently touched Sophie’s arm and she lifted her head up “Its ok…no one is going to hurt you here…I promise…your dad is not here..I’m here” Frank said as Sophie looked at him. She wanted to believe him, because he had been so nice to her “Sophie its ok…we are going to take care of you now” Bobby said and Sophie looked up at her. She wanted to believe her because she gave her nice food and brought her nice clothes like in her dreams “We love you Sophie…and no one is going to hurt you here” Frank said as he looked into the eyes of his daughter. He was trying to hide his anger…his anger at Al Simpson for hurting the two people he loved the most. Sophie wiped her face with the back of her hand “We love you sweetheart..ok?” Bobby said as Sophie looked up at her then she nodded. She believed them..they loved her. “Come on, lets go inside the house so I can get the brushes to paint your room ok?” Frank said and Sophie nodded then Frank helped her out of the car. He picked her up and she wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. She felt safe.. “I don’t know what I would've done if you weren’t here..I think I have a lot to learn about parenting” Bobby said “I'll always be here for you” Frank said as he looked at Bobby and she smiled as they walked into the house together like the family they both always wanted.. Donavan got up from the couch and sat on the bed next to her. “What do you mean go through all this again?” Donavan said and he gently touched Roo’s cheek and she looked at him with tears in her eyes. Roo sighed then she started to tell Donavan about Frank..how things didn’t work out with them initially and he married Bobby..then eventually he left Bobby for her. As Roo spoke a tear ran down her cheek. It was as if everything happened yesterday. She remembered telling Frank to go and work things out with Bobby but he insisted he wanted to be with her. Donavan got up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom, a few moments later, he appeared with some tissue and wiped Roo’s cheeks. “Thanks” Roo said and she took the tissue from him “I guess you must think I’m a horrible person” Roo said as she looked at Donavan “No, you were in love with the guy” Donavan said “The way that people treated me because of that…people I had known my whole life…I just don’t want to go through that again…not here…not with Nancy” Roo said “New York isn’t a small town in Australia..people dont care about things like that” Donavan said “But I do..Nancy was my friend” Roo said “Look..I spoke to Nancy, I took responsibility for everything..she doesn’t blame you for anything” Donavan said as Roo looked at him then she stood up and folded her arms “But I have to see her everyday at work” Roo said “You wont have to see her” Donavan said and Roo looked at him “What do you mean?” Roo said “Shes going to be working out of the Texas Edison office for a while…knowing her, she will meet a billionaire oil tycoon, and forget about all this” Donavan said as he stood up and looked at Roo who stared at him “Maybe I should talk to her…you know…apologize” Roo said “Like I said, she doesn’t blame you for anything, I took all the responsibility, so there is nothing to apologize for” Donavan said and he pulled Roo close to him. She knew that at one point she was going to leave New York..well it was supposed to be when her and Donavan got married. She exhaled and looked down at her lap to stop a tear from running down her cheek. She picked up her bag that was on the seat next to her and opened it. She took out a white envelope and put the bag on the seat next to her. She took out the two photos in the envelope. One was a photo of her and Donavan..it was the one she liked from the engagement photoshoot they did. Nancy stared at it, she could see all the love in her eyes, and how much she wanted to be Donavan's wife. Something she had wanted since the very first day she met him. Nancy put the photo facedown into her lap and she looked at the second photo in the envelope. It was a photo of her and Ruth, taken at an event they did together. She smiled as she remembered when Ruth first joined the agency, she was pretty ,and young, and Nancy was happy to take her under her wing. She was cheering for Ruth as she came into her own, and began working on her own accounts to eventually get promoted from being a junior PR exec to a fully fledged PR exec. Nancy ran her finger gently along Roo’s cheek in the photo and remembered calling some of her single friends to find Roo a date, so she could be happy like her and Donavan. As Ruth stared at the photo flashbacks of new years eve began to fill her mind..walking into the room and finding Ruth and Donavan having sex are images she had not been able to get out of her mind since it happened. “Please fasten your seatbelt” Nancy put the photo on her lap and fastened her seatbelt then she picked it up again and looked at it and smiled as she remembered Donavan coming to her apartment, the argument they had…him telling her that he wasn’t in love with her which made Nancy stay in her apartment and cry for days. Nancy could feel the plane start to move which meant that in a short while she would be leaving New York. Nancy inhaled and exhaled then she looked at the photo of her and Ruth one more time “I will never forget what you did..karma is a bitch” Nancy said then she put both photos in the envelope and put it in her bag then she put her designer sunglasses on and exhaled as the plane took off with one memory that Nancy didn’t want to leave behind.. He smiled to himself and stopped reading. He put the book down in the bed and covered Sam with his blanket then he got up and put the book on the shelf. He was just about to walk out of the room when he stopped by the door and noticed that Bobby was standing by Sophies room door watching and smiling as Frank read her a story. Greg wanted to come out of the room but he just stood there and waited. A few moments later, he watched as Bobby went into the room, he assumed to kiss Sophie goodnight. He then moved back into the room as he watched Bobby and Frank go down the stairs. He inhaled then exhaled and went down the stairs “Is Sam asleep?” Bobby said “Yeah, he didn’t even get to the end of the book” Greg said and smiled “Oh that’s a shame, I wanted to kiss him goodnight” Bobby said as Greg and Frank looked at each other “I better go” Frank said as he walked to the door with Bobby following behind him “Thanks for dinner” Frank said when he turned around and looked at Bobby “You’re welcome” Bobby said as she looked up at him then Frank gently bent down and kissed her cheek “Night” Frank said “Goodnight” Bobby said as she stared into his eyes then he walked out of the house and Bobby closed the door and walked towards the kitchen “Dinner was really nice” Greg said and Bobby smiled as she opened the back door to put the rubbish out. “Its really nice tonight” Greg said as Bobby tied the rubbish bag and put it outside “Yeah it is” Bobby said “Let’s sit out here for a while..I feel like we haven’t had much alone time lately” Greg said and he pushed two chairs together and they sat down “I know…sorry…its just going to be a bit hectic for a while, until we get Sophie settled" Bobby said as she sat next to Greg “I think its great what you’re doing..you know taking her on” Greg said “She doesn’t have anyone else” Bobby said “Well she has me…and Sam as well” Greg said and Bobby smiled “Thanks” Bobby said and her and Greg kissed then he put his arm around her still feeling uneasy about Frank being around as Bobby stared at the moon and smiled to herself grateful that her and Frank had a daughter… Vicarage- Newcastle Pippa closed the bedroom door where Christopher and Sally slept and walked into the living room and sat next to Alex “The kids are fast asleep” Pippa said “Oh good, I was hoping that bed would be alright for Sally” Reverend Jones said “I don’t think she even noticed” Pippa said and smiled then she yawned "I think I'm also ready for bed" Pippa said as Reverend Jones looked at her and smiled "Can I make you some tea?" Reverend Jones said "Thanks" Pippa said and smiled “I just want to say…thank you…for all of this” Pippa said “All of what?” Reverend Jones said as he looked at Pippa confused “The kids love it here, you went out of your way to make us feel welcome..I know you do it all the time, but this time it feels different” Pippa said “I guess because it is different…we are different” Reverend Jones said as he put the cup in front of Pippa and she reached for his hand and smiled. He leaned forward and they began to kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She couldn’t believe her and Alex were here. She felt like a teenager.. then Reverend Jones pulled back “Is there something wrong?” Pippa said confused “Phillippa, I want things to be perfect between us” Reverend Jones said “They are” Pippa said as she put her head on his shoulder and smiled to herself “…I don’t want to rush you..to do anything you’re not ready to do” Reverend Jones said “You wont be rushing me” Pippa said as she hugged Reverend Jones. She knew she was ready to be with him intimately…this is what she wanted. “I will make it special…for us” Reverend Jones said and Pippa smiled “Can I lie in your arms tonight?” Pippa said as she looked at Alex “There is nothing that I would want more” Reverend Jones said and smiled then he got up and reached out his hand. She wore a knee length dress and her hair was hanging loose down her back “Oh right…you got a foster daughter now” Lance said “Yeah” Frank said and smiled “We’re just going to the movies” Lance said as Finlay smiled as Lance put his arm around her. “STEVE COME ON” Frank said as he walked over to the stairs “We better get going or, we’re going to be late” Finlay said then she kissed Lance on the cheek who raised his eyebrows and smiled “Yeah, we better get going” Lance said and smiled and winked at Frank. Finlay looked at Frank but he was buttoning the cuffs on his shirt as Steve came down stairs “I I’m not coming to Bobby’s” Steve said “Why not?” Frank said as he looked at him “I’m not feeling too well, and I got homework” Steve said “What’s wrong?” Frank said “Just a stomach ache..thats all” Steve said “Did you take anything for it?” Frank said “I’m going to take something now” Steve said “I’ll tell Sophie her uncle Steve will come and see her tomorrow” Frank said and smiled “ ok” Steve said “I also haver to tell her that Grandma Pippa will see her on Monday” Frank said “Pippa didn’t see her?” Steve said “No, she was running late…so shes going to come over when they get back from Newcastle” Frank said as Steve nodded. Her parents and brother were eating, nobody was saying a word. Julie was disappointed. She just shared with them her good news, and as usual they were not happy for her. When Julie entered her managers office earlier, she honestly didn’t know why, she thought that with her luck, she was going to be sacked, but it was the opposite. Her manager was really happy with her, and they wanted her to transfer to the city for a supervisory role. Julie sighed then she put the fork on the plate and folded her arms. Her dad looked up at her. “So no congratulations?” Julie said “Maybe we should talk about this later love” Alec said “No, I want to talk about it now” Julie said “Why is it that anything I do in this family is never good enough? Why do you treat me like I’m a child” Julie said “We don’t love” Alec said “Yes you do, you think I can’t live on my own…take care of myself?” Julie said “You cant, that’s why you came back home after being with that copper” Revhead said “That was only because his home wasn’t adapted for a person in a wheelchair” Julie said “And you think the flats in the city are?” Revhead said and Julie sighed. This was a constant battle with her family, them not thinking that she can take care of herself, and to some degree, they were right, but Julie this was an opportunity for Julie to be on her own..live the life she always wanted. Julie sighed then she began to roll away from the table “Love, come on we’re having dinner” Alec said as he watched Julie roll herself into her room and close the door “Let her go, this is just like everything else she does, she gets a silly idea in her head then when it doesn’t work out, she comes running home. This is going to be no different…no different at all” Joanne Gibson said then she got up from the table and walked over to the kitchen as Alec looked at the closed bedroom door and sighed. Simpson Residence- Summer Bay Background music- Greg and Bobby’s theme Greg put the mash potato on his fork into his mouth. He watched as Bobby and Frank made plans for Sophie. They were taking her to see a psychologist on Monday then to register her for school. Frank was going to get her room ready tomorrow, and fix an old bike in the shed at the caravan park for her. Greg looked down at Sam who was in his own world eating his dinner. Then he looked at Sophie who was sitting between Frank and Bobby eating her dinner. Greg didn’t like Sophie. Not that it was intentional, but her being here was the reason why Frank was here. Frank being here meant that Bobby had pushed him, and Sam to the side. Greg watched as Sophie began to cry when Frank said he would take her to the beach for a picnic on Sunday, and he pushed his chair back and she got up and sat on his lap. Greg watched as Frank kissed her forehead and wiped her tears away with his finger as Bobby gently stroked her hair. Greg and Frank locked eyes. Greg sighed, as he remembered what Shauna said about being insecure if he said anything about the way he was feeling, but he was really struggling now, and didn't know what to do.. Vicarage- Newcastle Pippa smiled as she watched Alex cut up the potatoes on Christopher's little plate so that he could eat it. She looked down at Sally who was sitting next to her eating, and talking about the animals they were going to see at the nearby farm tomorrow. Pippa inhaled and exhaled and smiled to herself as she thought about all the trouble that Alex had gone to. He brought Christopher a high chair and put enough toys and games in the bedroom for him and Sally. They had all been there before but this time is was different…they were different..they were in love. Pippa smiled feeling like a teenager in love for the first time. It was going to be hard with Alex not getting the transfer, but they were going to make it work..she was sure of that… Cameron Residence- Summer Bay Shannon and Adam ate the Chinese takeaway in silence. She looked at the food on her plate then she looked at Adam who seemed to be miles away. She didn’t want to mention that she saw him coming out of the resort, she didn’t want him to think she was following him. “I’m not very hungry..I think I’m going to go home” Shannon said and Adam looked at her “Why?I thought you came back, because you were staying here tonight?” Adam said “I did, but I thought maybe you wanted to some time alone or something” Shannon said “Why would I ask you to come here if I did…come here” Adam said and Shannon got up from her chair and she sat on his lap and bent down and kissed him “Does that kiss feel like it came from someone who wants to be alone?” Adam said and smiled. Shannon smiled and shook her head no then she hugged Adam whose smile disappeared as he thought about Marilyn…wondering if she was alright… Morgan Residence- New York Roo bit into the slice of pizza in her hand and laughed at the programme on the TV. She was glad that she made the decision not to go and see Donavan, it was for the best. She didnt want what happened in Summer Bay to happen here. One of the characters in the TV show she was watching was called Alf then she made a note in her mind to ring her dad, because she knew how worried he was about her. Roo put the slice of pizza down on the plate and picked up the newpaper and looked at the apartments she had had circled. Even though her lease was running out, her landlord was kind enough to let her stay another month to find somewhere. Roo picked up the pizza slice again, and bit into it. She picked up a napkin and wiped the stay piece of cheese that had fallen onto her pyjama top. Knock on the door Roo looked up from the newspaper, at the door. She wasn’t expecting anyone. She put the newspaper down and walked over to the front door. She put the chain on then she opened the door and got a shock “Are you not going to let me in?” Donavan said and smiled at her.. Background music ends

Terrence Donavan is another actor who went from Neighbours (Doug Willis) to Home and Away (Al Simpson) then back to Neighbours again! Alex Papps started on Neighbours then to Home and Away

I just remembered, Steph Scully is who I was referring to earlier. She used to ride a motorbike. I think her mum got married to Paul Robinson. Would be interesting to know the actors who went on to have regular jobs after leaving Home and Away and Neighbours Daphne is now a school teacher. Claims she was uncomfortable with fame which led to her wanting to leave acting. I just checked she had a small role in Home and Away as well.

Yikes..I dont know who any of these people are! What happened to Doug Wills? Did his wife marry Paul? I think he had a daughter who rode a motorbike who went out with fish brothers (Toady or Stoney)
